  • How to Achieve the Blue Star Board in Sonic Racing: Completing and Solving

How to Achieve the Blue Star Board in Sonic Racing: Completing and Solving

There are many Machines in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, including the 23 default characters and Rival Teams waiting for you in Race Park. If you want an extra speed boost, try adding the Blue Star to your Customize Machine menu.

To get the Blue Star, you need to create a Sega account before a specific deadline. This hoverboard is a classic Sonic item from other racing games and is quite powerful. Here’s how to unlock Sonic’s Blue Star board.

How Do You Get The Blue Star?

Create and Link a Sega Account
If you want to add the Blue Star hoverboard, you’ll find many options through DLC and game promotions. However, the Blue Star, which was Sonic’s Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, is available for a limited time. To unlock it, you must:

    • Create a Sega account between September 21 and October 31, 2025.
    • Signing up for a Sega account is free. Sega often runs special promotions linked to new game releases, where you can earn rewards.

Once you have an account, you can claim the Blue Star by following these steps:

    1. Visit the Sega Account website.
    2. Scroll past the banner and click “Register” below the Sonic images.
    3. Fill in your country and age info. Minors should be on a Family Account with an adult.
    4. Enter an email address, then check your email for the verification code.
    5. Verify your email, then fill out your birth date, country, language, name, and a username. Your username can be seen by others.
    6. Review everything, then click “Register.”
    7. Link your account to your game console. Keep in mind, one console can only be linked to one account—so if others play on it, decide whose account to use.
    8. Sign into your console’s login service with your Sega account details to complete the connection.

Claiming and Using the Blue Star
After signing up, confirm your platform on the Sega site, and a unique code will be generated for your account and platform. This code can only be claimed once per account.

To claim the Blue Star in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds:

    • Go to your platform’s store where you redeem game codes (such as PlayStation Store).
    • Enter the code as if you’re redeeming a game.
    • After redeeming, launch Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The Blue Star will show up as downloadable content.

How To Use The Blue Star In The Game

After downloading, the Blue Star won’t automatically appear in your Machine list. You need to:

    • Go to the Customize Machine menu.
    • Create a new Machine and select the Blue Star Extreme Gear from the Boost category.
    • Paint it with the Blue Star colorway, which is also added when you download the board.

Blue Star Stats for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

    Speed Acceleration Handling Power Boost
    28 34 44 20 54

Any character can use the Blue Star once you’ve created it as a custom Machine and saved it. Just make your settings from the main menu, choose your character, and race with the Blue Star in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

  • How to Complete and Solve the Secret Grand Prix in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

How to Complete and Solve the Secret Grand Prix in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

When you start playing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you’ll be able to race in six main grand prix circuits right away. However, there are additional tracks you can unlock by progressing through the game or by downloading DLC. These extra circuits are listed directly in the grand prix menu: the Egg Grand Prix and the Secret Grand Prix.

Unlocking these hidden grand prix is challenging. You’ll need to be confident in your racing skills because to unlock the Egg and Secret Grand Prix, you must win all the races in the current tracks. You’ve got to win each one to add them to your collection.

First, focus on unlocking the Egg Grand Prix. When you begin, you’ll see six default grand prix, each with three tracks. The final race in each series is a special mashup that combines all three tracks, with each lap on a different one. To unlock the Egg Grand Prix—needed to access the Secret Grand Prix—you just need to race on each of these six grand prix at least once. It doesn’t matter how well you do; just completing them will unlock the Egg Grand Prix.

All the grand prix you’ve raced will be marked on the selection screen. Once you’ve played all six, the Egg Grand Prix becomes available. Don’t worry about your scores—your goal is simply to race on each track to unlock it. Your performance doesn’t matter unless you’re racing against rivals or trying to beat a specific time.

Next, to unlock the Secret Grand Prix, you must win first place in all the grand prix, including the newly-unlocked Egg Grand Prix. This means you need to finish first overall in every race. Finishing position in individual races overall doesn’t count until all four races in a grand prix are finished and points are tallied. It helps to retry races if you’re not doing well; you can spend Donpa Tickets to try again without penalty. Achieving first overall will unlock the final challenge, called the XX Challenge, which tracks your progress toward the Secret Grand Prix.

You’ll see all the grand prix you’ve won marked with a gold trophy icon in the bottom-left corner of their icons. Once you complete the last race and unlock the XX Challenge, you’ll know you’ve finished the last step. The toughest tracks—such as Kronos Island, Northstar Islands, and White Space—are available in this final grand prix. To succeed, it’s important to use each vehicle type skillfully and have your Gadget Plate settings optimized before starting the race.

  • How to Complete Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Solve Super Sonic Challenges

How to Complete Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Solve Super Sonic Challenges

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds starts you off with nearly every character unlocked, except for one. Staying true to Sonic’s tradition, Super Sonic isn’t handed to you easily—you need to earn him.

Getting Super Sonic requires some effort, but that challenge is part of the excitement. Having Super Sonic on your team is definitely worth it. Here’s how to unlock this golden hedgehog so you can speed through tracks and demonstrate real velocity.

    ### How to Add Super Sonic to Your Roster

Super Sonic is the only character you have to unlock in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. To unlock him, you must defeat all non-DLC rivals in races. This means you’ll need to complete at least 23 Grand Prix races, as there are 23 rivals in the game. Currently, there are only seven Grand Prixs available (eight once you unlock the Secret Grand Prix), so you’ll need to replay certain tracks multiple times.

Once you’ve beaten all your rivals, Super Sonic becomes available for play.

    ### How to Defeat Rivals

Beating a rival means finishing ahead of them on the leaderboards after a Grand Prix. Since rivals are tough opponents, this usually means finishing first overall in the race. Sometimes, when you start a new Grand Prix, you might be offered a different rival on a harder difficulty, but you don’t need to accept this challenge. Playing on the easiest level makes it quicker to earn Super Sonic.

You can also change your rival before starting a Grand Prix. A rival is chosen randomly, but it’s smart to access the menu to select the one you want to challenge. This helps keep track of who you’ve defeated and who still needs to be beaten.

    ### What Does Super Sonic Play Like?

Super Sonic is completely worth unlocking. Like regular Sonic, he’s a speed-focused character, with his abilities influenced by the vehicle you pick. One major advantage is that Super Sonic is invincible, making him immune to items and allowing him to crash into walls without losing his rings. While powerful vehicles can protect you from losing rings, only Super Sonic is immune to item effects, making him the top character in the game.

However, because he is so overpowered, you can only play as Super Sonic in offline Grand Prix races. This rule keeps gameplay fair online, preventing unfair advantages from disrupting competitive matches.

  • How to Achieve New Titles in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds by Completing and Solving

How to Achieve New Titles in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds by Completing and Solving

    What Are Challenges?
Challenges are tasks you can complete while racing, often unlocked early when you race against your first rival from the Sonic universe, sometimes without even realizing it. These challenges can be tracked through the Extras menu as you play.

Completing challenges rewards your profile with new titles, which you can view in the Challenges section of the Extras menu. Completed challenges are marked with a bold icon and checkmark. These titles mainly serve as bragging rights, showing others what you’ve accomplished in races.

    Stormcarved Coast

    Sulfur Falls

    Sunken Hollow

    Swamp (3)

    Training Center

    Underground River

    Vault of Whispers

This deck is tailored for Bracket 2 (Core), yet it can compete with lower-tier Bracket 3 (Upgraded) decks. For an upgrade to Bracket 3, consider adding Tergrid, God of Fright, Rhystic Study, and Cyclonic Rift to transform your game.

    The Commander

The Dr. Eggman card, from Magic: The Gathering's Secret Lair X Sonic: Friends & Foes.

Dr. Eggman is a 3/6 Human Scientist with a Grixis color identity, requiring one red, one black, one blue, and two generic mana to cast.

His sole keyword ability is flying, linked to his personal hovercraft, the Egg Mobile. In the games, the Egg Mobile serves as a command center for his various inventions.

Dr. Eggman’s primary ability offers two benefits. Firstly, it grants an additional card draw at your turn’s end. Secondly, it obligates each opponent (in turn) to select between discarding a card or allowing you to bring a Robot, Construct, or Vehicle card into play from your hand.

As each opponent makes their selection independently, you could end up with three opportunities to bring a costly Robot into play each turn. However, this depends on two factors: your opponents must consent to let you bring one into play, and you must have a valid card to play.

MTG Steel Overseer card with the art in the background.

There are a few notable drawbacks to consider. First, the choice aspect allows your opponents to select impossible actions. They can choose to discard a card even if they hold none, or permit you to summon a strong card even if you don’t have one in hand.

Secondly, experienced opponents will likely pay attention to your choices and, since decisions are made sequentially, they can observe the outcomes of each other’s selections before finalizing their own. If the first player lets you bring in a Robot and you play something minimal like Steel Overseer, or nothing at all, they may assume that your hand lacks strong options and all opt for that choice.

    Building The Deck

An Egg Hammer robot slams its signature hammer into the ground while Egg Pawns watch from the background.

When crafting a three-color Commander deck, the temptation is often to load up on all the good stuff available in those colors. However, this can lead to a generic feel. Since Dr. Eggman is a unique villain, this build intentionally leaves out many staples to create a more thematic deck with solid synergy.

Your opponents gain nothing by choosing to discard during their turn, but it’s beneficial if they opt to keep their card and grant you the chance to play a significant Badnik. Thus, including elements that deter them from discarding is vital.

Simultaneously, if they choose to allow you to summon a creature, you need to have one ready in hand. With three opponents, you should ideally maintain three Robots, Constructs, or Vehicles in your hand to capitalize on every opportunity to drop something powerful into play for free.

Retaining a hand full of impactful cards means you’ll require plenty of draw options. However, you’ll need to be clever; if players believe you have an empty hand, they might take the risk and choose to discard.

If you’re utilizing Vehicles, it’s also necessary to include creatures capable of crewing them. Many creatures in this deck synergize with your artifact army but might not deal much damage on their own. However, they can crew your Vehicles, allowing them to contribute to combat without sacrificing their helpful abilities.

    Ramp

Ideally, Dr. Eggman should enable you to cast most of your high-mana cards for free, reducing the need for extensive ramp. However, getting your commander onto the battlefield early and casting spells outside of his effect still necessitates having a solid ramp foundation, hence the inclusion of nine mana rocks, including all three Talismans and Signets.

In addition to those standard mana rocks, there are only two real ramp mechanics. The first is from The Regalia, which can be acquired for free with Dr. Eggman’s ability, and can fetch you an extra land each time it attacks, resulting in a larger mana base and a leaner deck.

The second ramp effect stems from RMS Titanic, which is a flying, trampling, 7/1 Vehicle that generates treasure depending on the combat damage dealt to an opponent, but it must be sacrificed simultaneously. If you can strike a clear attack, you’ll gain three mana, potentially more if you apply buffs like Steel Overseer.

    Draw

To play your free cards, you’ll need them in your hand. This deck features a robust draw package to ensure you consistently have cards in hand, allowing you to continue playing Robots and other assets.

Thopter Spy Network serves as a useful enchantment with dual effects: it creates 1/1 flying Thopters and allows you to draw a card when your artifact creatures deal combat damage. While it provides one draw per hit, you can increase impact by attacking multiple players or leveraging first-strike damage.

The Indomitable shares a similar function with Thopter Spy Network but can also engage in combat. Moreover, while enchantments evade many common removal methods, The Indomitable can be recast from your graveyard if you control three other tapped Vehicles. Although there are only eight Vehicles available in the deck, this standalone option remains useful.

Jackdaw brings a strong draw effect, where dealing combat damage allows you to discard your hand to draw a card for each artifact you control. This typically results in drawing more cards than you discard, but exercise caution not to toss away cards you truly wish to play.

The Curie, Emergent Intelligence card, from Magic: The Gathering's Fallout.

Curie, Emergent Intelligence makes for an excellent addition, as it allows you to draw cards equal to its base power whenever it inflicts combat damage. While it may seem insignificant at just one card, it can transform into a copy of another creature you control, inheriting that creature’s draw ability.

Curie could replicate a powerful evasive creature, like the 8/8 trampling Cityscape Leveler, or potentially rescue a creature facing destruction. If an opponent is about to eliminate or take your creature, transform Curie into that creature, allowing you to mitigate threats.

    Deter Discard

Encouraging your opponents to discard cards can be advantageous, except in cases where they are using a madness deck. Still, this deck incorporates mechanisms to make discarding a less appealing option for them. With a couple of these effects, opponents will reconsider before opting to discard.

Megrim belongs to an older era, dating back to 1998’s Stronghold. For three mana, this enchantment deals two damage to opponents whenever they discard a card. Liliana’s Caress offers a similar effect for just two mana, though it counts for life loss rather than other triggers.

Waste Not transforms the discard option into additional choices. If an opponent chooses to discard a creature, you generate a 2/2 Zombie. If they throw away a land, you receive two black mana. When they discard anything else, you get to draw a card. While losing mana is the least favorable outcome, it also results in fewer lands for your opponent.

The Geth's Grimoire card, from Magic: The Gathering's Darksteel.

Geth’s Grimoire is advantageous regardless of what card an opponent discards, since your draw count increases for each card they toss. This can set you up effectively in case your subsequent opponent decides to allow you to summon a creature.

    The End (Step) Game

Dr. Eggman’s most potent ability activates during your end step, occurring just once each turn. But what if there were ways to maximize that further?

Y’shtola Rhul, from Final Fantasy, provides just that. At each end step, she can blink one of your creatures, granting you additional enter triggers from cards like Myr Battlesphere, followed by an extra end step. This leads to another blink, and another round of villainous choices.

In conjunction with Y’shtola Rhul’s additional end steps is The Valeyard from Doctor Who, which demands each opponent to face the same choice again each time it triggers. Will your opponents discard two cards? Four? Or will you have the chance to deploy up to 12 of your bombers in a single turn? The decision lies with them, but victory rests in your hands.

  • Sonic Unleashed Recompiled Is The Port You Didn’t Know You Wanted

Sonic Unleashed Recompiled Is The Port You Didn’t Know You Wanted

Sonic Unleashed may not always be at the forefront of Sonic’s legacy, but it certainly holds a devoted fan base. Thanks to a community-developed PC port, the game has been revitalized for today’s players, packed with a variety of desirable enhancements.

While emulation for consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been around for some time, it often comes with its own set of challenges, including crashes and quirky bugs. The introduction of Unleashed Recompiled on GitHub addresses many of these issues, offering high-definition upscaling, compatibility with ultrawide displays, vastly improved performance, and additional features.

However, there’s one caveat: you’ll need to provide the game files yourself. This version doesn’t come with any in-game assets, so you’ll need to have a legally obtained copy of the game to fully utilize this port. The GitHub repository advises using an Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Cable, which means you might have to dig out some older tech. Thankfully, once you reach that point, the built-in installation wizard simplifies the remainder of the process for you.

The developers have maintained the essence of the original design, ensuring that notifications blend seamlessly into the game environment. Fans who recall the somewhat muted visuals on the Xbox 360 will appreciate that Unleashed Recompiled aims to capture the vibrant color palette of the PlayStation 3 release.

You won’t need a top-tier gaming rig to play this either. The minimum requirements include an Nvidia GeForce GT 630, AMD Radeon HD 7750, or Intel HD Graphics 510 — all of which are older, budget-friendly graphics cards. If you’ve bought a computer in the last five years, you should have no trouble running this game.

However, note that Unleashed Recompiled requires at least 8GB of RAM and a minimum of 6GB of available disk space.

The quality of Unleashed Recompiled rivals that of professional studio remasters, all created by passionate fans dedicated to the game. If you’re looking to revisit classic Sonic adventures, this is an excellent opportunity to do so.

  • Locations of All Chao in Seaside Hill – Sonic X Shadow Generations

Locations of All Chao in Seaside Hill – Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic Generations originally focused on celebrating Sonic’s legacy, but Sonic X Shadow Generations brings attention to his counterpart, Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow’s gameplay features new content, making Sonic’s levels seem a bit dated by comparison.

Sonic’s levels are still enjoyable, thanks to their solid design, regardless of how modern Sonic controls. One level worth revisiting is Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes, which serves as a testament to some of Sonic’s more frustrating control issues. This new version has added some fresh secrets, so it’s worth exploring.

How to Achieve an S Rank in Seaside Hill

Getting an S Rank in a Sonic game is one of the highest achievements. While extra skills can be helpful, there’s nothing quite like zooming through checkpoints and seeing green numbers indicating your speed record. Here’s how to earn an S Rank in both acts of Seaside Hill.

Seaside Hill Act 1 S Rank

Act 1 features many twists and turns, and your speed is largely influenced by the cannons you interact with. The best cannons aren’t always clear, so be prepared for some unexpected jumps.

Once you hit the water, jump onto the red platforms, but be quick—they will drop shortly. Starting on the leftmost platform buys you extra time. Bounce off one of the robotic fish to propel yourself onto the higher path. Just one fish should give you enough lift.

As you progress, you’ll find another bouncing fish with spikes underneath. Bounce on it to reach a cannon that sends you higher.

After acquiring the invincibility power-up, choose the adjacent platform rather than sliding down. Carefully bounce off the aerial enemy when it’s not electrified. This will take you to red platforms that will give way almost immediately, so make your jump just in time to avoid lingering. This leads you to another cannon.

Jump over the electrified enemy instead of sinking into the lower cannon, and head up to the next cannon. Bounce off the nearby flying enemy into the next cannon.

When you land in the water, skip the yellow spring on your right. You can gain extra height when jumping in water, allowing you to easily clear the gap.

Next, you’ll be chased by a giant wheel. Don’t stress about getting hit; it won’t end the game. Make sure to jump onto the platforms and Dash Rings above as you enter the second grassy zone while escaping.

Finish the act with a time lower than 2:50 seconds and a score of 50,000 for an A Rank, and earn an S Rank with a Perfect Clear.

Seaside Hill Act 2 S Rank

Start by hitting the bounce pad and taking the left rainbow ring. This path provides a much quicker route than the right.

When you reach the wall-jumping area, boost to reach the highest part of the wall and continue left. Then boost through the spikes to reach an upward cannon.

Upon reaching the downward slope of the bridge, jump to grab the Rainbow Rings, leading you to a higher level. Be cautious of sidestepping here to avoid falling back down.

After boosting up the next bridge, be alert as you land on the red collapsible platforms. Race towards the grind rail inside the cave.

During the tri-section of the bridge, flashing images determine whether you take the turtle path or the kart for speed. Aim for the kart route for maximizing speed.

After finishing the kart segment, you’ll enter a side-scrolling section where you can jump on the moving pillars like a wall-jumping section. Act quickly to access the higher route.

Next, endless large wheels will roll across the ground. The best way to dodge them is by sidestepping, but even if you get hit, it shouldn’t slow you down significantly.

Conclude the act with a time under 3:10 seconds and a score of 50,000 for an A Rank, which can be upgraded to an S Rank with a Perfect Clear.

Finding All the Red Star Rings in Seaside Hill

Red Star Rings return in this game, just as they were in the original, with ten located in each act—five for each Sonic. Here’s where to find them in Seaside Hill.

Seaside Hill Act 1 Red Stars

Here’s where to find the five Red Star Rings as Classic Sonic:

    1. Red Star Ring 1: After jumping over the fish and reaching a cannon, this ring is underwater to your left.
    2. Red Star Ring 2: After bounding over the second fish toward a cannon, grab the ring as you land.
    3. Red Star Ring 3: Located slightly below another cannon near a flying purple enemy. You can use Aqua Shield to access it if you missed the higher path.
    4. Red Star Ring 4: While being pushed underwater by the wind, cautiously let go of the poles to collect this ring.
    5. Red Star Ring 5: At the end, while dodging the giant wheel, jump through the higher Dash Rings to grab the ring in a loop.

Collecting these will earn you the Invincible Start skill.

Seaside Hill Act 2 Red Stars

Modern Sonic can also gather five Red Star Rings. Here’s where to find them:

    1. Red Star Ring 1: After taking the left Rainbow Ring, it can be found on the upcoming grind rail.
    2. Red Star Ring 2: In the first side-scrolling section, follow the upward wall jump to locate it.
    3. Red Star Ring 3: Found on a grind rail after some collapsible red platforms.
    4. Red Star Ring 4: Towards the end of the kart section, it’s to the left.
    5. Red Star Ring 5: At the very end of the last side-scrolling segment, leap off the grind rail to grab the last ring.

This collection nets you the Direct Jump skill.

Discovering All Hidden Chaos in Seaside Hill

Newly introduced in Sonic X Shadow Generations, six Chao are hidden in each act—three for each Sonic. Here’s where to find them in Seaside Hill.

Seaside Hill Act 1 Hidden Chaos

These are Classic Sonic’s hidden Chaos:

    1. Hidden Chao 1: After going underwater from a cannon launched after jumping the fish, this Chao is perched against the wall above the moving pillars.
    2. Hidden Chao 2: After being fired from a cannon following the second jumping fish, head to the left platform from the halfpipe to find it.
    3. Hidden Chao 3: At the lowest underwater area where the wind blows, this Chao is hiding against the wall.

Seaside Hill Act 2 Hidden Chaos

Modern Sonic’s three hidden Chaos are as follows:

    1. Hidden Chao 1: After getting launched from a cannon to another cannon, spot the Chao in the corner of the upper area.
    2. Hidden Chao 2: In the tri-section with the turtle and kart options, choose the turtle and move left to discover the Chao.
    3. Hidden Chao 3: Before jumping into the cannon aimed at the giant wheels, break the crates at the back of the room to find the last Chao.

Your adventure through Seaside Hill is now complete, with all secrets found and tasks accomplished.

  • Mastering Rival Boss Fights in Sonic X Shadow Generations

Mastering Rival Boss Fights in Sonic X Shadow Generations

In the Sonic part of Sonic X Shadow Generations, you will face three Rival Bosses before you confront the final boss. This guide will detail how to unlock each Rival Boss and offer strategies to defeat them.

The Rival Bosses in Sonic Generations are Metal Sonic, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Silver the Hedgehog. Here’s a breakdown of how to unlock and defeat each one.

    How to Unlock Rival Bosses

Sonic Generations features nine levels split across three different areas, each representing a unique era from Sonic’s history. Every area has its own Rival Boss, who guards a Chaos Emerald.

A Rival Boss in an area becomes accessible once you complete all three stages located within that area. Specifically, you must finish both Act 1 and Act 2 of each level.

Once you’ve wrapped up every stage, challenge gates will emerge on the map, allowing you to face the Rival Bosses. You’ll encounter each Rival waiting for you on the map. Just approach them to start the battle.

You can skip facing Rival Bosses until later in the game, allowing you to progress all the way to the final boss. This is when you’ll need all seven Chaos Emeralds.

Metal Sonic represents the classic era, tracing back to Sonic CD from 1993.

In Metal Sonic’s stage, you’ll navigate a 2D platform as he chases you. He starts by dashing directly at you. To avoid getting hit, jump over him and then land on his head to inflict damage. After getting hit, he will unleash an energy wave. Adjust your speed to dodge this and jump on him again once the wave is cleared.

Next, he will try throwing objects at you. During this phase, managing your speed is key. Either accelerate or slow down to dodge the obstacles.

Afterwards, he will combine his attacks, charging toward you while energized. Run away from him until his energy wears off, then jump on him one last time to defeat him.

    How to Beat Shadow

The fight with Shadow draws inspiration from his debut in Sonic Adventure 2, playing out like a race.

In this battle, you’ll race against Shadow to collect energy orbs. Gather two orbs to gain a temporary boost.

If Shadow gets two orbs first, he unleashes his power, which means you’ll have to dodge a barrage of Chaos Spears. This can be managed with the quick step maneuver (using back triggers on your controller).

Although dodging Shadow’s attack is straightforward, it can prolong the battle unnecessarily. To prevent him from charging his attack, stay in front and collect the energy orbs first by gathering rings and performing tricks off ramps.

To defeat Shadow, you’ll need to charge an attack. Once charged, it leads you to a new area where you must boost into asteroids. Sending the asteroids flying into Shadow will slow him down. When he’s sufficiently slowed, keep boosting into him to drain his rings and score a victory.

    How to Beat Silver

Silver is the third and final Rival Boss in Sonic Generations, and his level harkens back to the infamous 2006 game, Sonic the Hedgehog (commonly known as Sonic ‘06).

This encounter revolves around speed management, so you’ll want to use your boost efficiently, especially for the fight’s last phase.

Your initial chance to attack Silver will come when he’s manipulating debris. Boost close to the first piece, execute a homing attack on it, and keep going until you reach Silver for a direct attack.

Between your attacks, make sure to keep your boost meter filled. Collecting rings helps, or you can bump into the scattered debris, as long as it’s not the debris Silver is controlling.

Your second chance to attack occurs when he lifts debris to form a ramp. Boost so you land on that debris, then continue until you’re back in range to hit him again.

Sometimes, Silver will float three pieces of debris above you, with one crashing down first. When this happens, rush to the spot where that debris fell to dodge the incoming pieces. He can also launch energy blasts your way as you close in, which can be dodged using the quick step method.

After hitting him four times, he enters his final phase. Silver will gather a massive pile of debris, and the perspective shifts so you are running away from it. Here, having a charged boost is crucial for survival. If you do, keep boosting while dodging the falling debris. Eventually, reach him and land one last homing attack to win the fight.

  • Mastering Perfect Chaos: Sonic X vs. Shadow Generations Tips

Mastering Perfect Chaos: Sonic X vs. Shadow Generations Tips

    Quick Links

Perfect Chaos is the second boss featured in Sonic’s segment of Sonic X Shadow Generations. Originating from Sonic Adventure, Perfect Chaos embodies the essence of the Dreamcast era in Sonic gaming.

In this guide, you’ll find out how to unlock and defeat the Perfect Chaos boss.

How To Unlock The Perfect Chaos Boss Fight

To access the fight with Perfect Chaos, you first need to complete the initial area of Sonic Generations and defeat the first boss. After that, you’ll gain entry to the second area, which consists of three stages drawn from the Dreamcast era of the Sonic series.

You must successfully complete both Act 1 and Act 2 for each of the three stages. Once you’ve done that, a boss gate will appear. To open it, you need to collect three boss keys.

Boss keys can be obtained by successfully finishing a Challenge Act in each stage, which becomes available after the boss gate shows up.

Once you have gathered all three keys, head back to the gate, and it will open up for your battle against Perfect Chaos.

    How To Beat Perfect Chaos

The battle with Perfect Chaos is fairly straightforward and resembles a typical stage. To win, simply navigate through the area and attack when prompted. You will need to hit Perfect Chaos four times to win.

There aren’t specific attack patterns to dodge since Perfect Chaos primarily targets the environment. Your biggest risk comes from the surroundings, so be cautious—miscalculated jumps may lead you into the water below.

During the initial phase of the fight, continue moving forward while avoiding obstacles. Once you reach the end, approach Perfect Chaos head-on. Sonic will climb the creature and deliver an attack once he reaches the top.

In the second phase, continue the same strategy. However, this time you’ll encounter more challenges as the environment is more fragmented. Perfect Chaos will also be actively destroying parts of the stage, so stay alert. Use the springs towards the end to launch yourself into Perfect Chaos, and execute a homing attack to deal damage.

    Tip:

Switching between 2D and 3D platforming may occur, so be prepared to adapt quickly to avoid falling off edges.

In the third segment, run directly toward Perfect Chaos while dodging debris and whirlpools of water obstructing your path. At the end of this area, you’ll need to scale Perfect Chaos once again to land another hit.

The final part is trickier but mainly requires good platforming skills. Jump between floating debris until you reach the right attacking range. Look for spots like springs and grapples that can help you avoid falling if Perfect Chaos destroys the platform you’re on. Once you’re near the end of this segment, land your fourth and final hit to defeat Perfect Chaos.
