Digital Phablet – The hottest Turkish series, “Yeraltı,” is gearing up for an emotionally charged finale packed with shocking plot twists and farewells.

The countdown is officially on for one of Turkey’s most talked-about TV dramas. The hit series “Yeraltı,” produced by Medyapım and exclusively aired on NOW TV, will conclude its current season on May 20 with its much-anticipated 16th episode. Since its debut earlier this year, this series has emerged as one of 2026’s breakout Turkish dramas, thanks to its dark tone, gripping storytelling, and standout cast performances.

Scripted by Berna Aruz and directed by Murat Öztürk, the show quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. The media has described it as one of the season’s most successful and socially relevant productions. It combines elements of crime, romance, revenge, and underground power struggles, creating a gritty universe that viewers find irresistible week after week.

“Yeraltı” centers on Haydar Ali Aslan, portrayed by Deniz Can Aktaş, a man whose life takes a drastic turn after his family is murdered. After seeking revenge and serving time, he is released only to find that the woman he has loved forever is now married to someone close to him. This emotional turmoil intensifies as he gets entangled deeper in Turkey’s underground crime scene.

One of the show’s key drivers of popularity has been the chemistry among its three leads. Deniz Can Aktaş plays Haydar Ali Aslan, while Devrim Özkan portrays Halide Ceylan, a woman torn between love, loyalty, and familial duty. Uraz Kaygılaroğlu appears as Bozkurt Hanoğlu, a character known for being unpredictable and dangerous. Turkish audiences have especially praised the intense emotional dynamics exhibited by the trio throughout the season.

Beyond its compelling characters, “Yeraltı” features Sümeyye Aydoğan, Burak Sevinç, Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, Ekin Mert Daymaz, Ülkü Hilal Çiftçi, Emir Benderlioğlu, and Hülya Gülşen. The series has garnered attention for its cinematic action sequences, dark visuals, and emotionally intense storytelling. Many Turkish entertainment critics have likened its atmosphere to classic mafia and underground crime dramas.

Interestingly, the upcoming finale will not only deliver major narrative twists but will also serve as a significant farewell. Veteran actor Cemal Hünal, who made guest appearances as the character Kartal, will be leaving the series. Reports from Turkish media indicate his exit will be shocking and dramatic, sparking widespread speculation among fans eager to see how his storyline concludes.

Cemal Hünal continues to be one of Turkey’s most recognized faces in film and television. He rose to fame with the romantic classic “Issız Adam,” and over the years, has starred in projects like “Ulak,” “Diriliş Ertuğrul,” and “Hudutsuz Sevda.” His role in “Yeraltı” this season has added extra anticipation among fans.

According to Turkish media, the finale will feature intense confrontations, emotional revelations, and pivotal decisions likely to overhaul the series’ trajectory before the next season. The excitement is palpable, with fans counting down the days across various social media platforms.
