Feyza Civelek Leaves “Kızılcık Şerbeti” Before Season 5

Digital Phablet – Feyza Civelek Bids Farewell to Kızılcık Şerbeti

A significant cast update is underway for Show TV’s popular series “Kızılcık Şerbeti” (Cranberry Sherbet) as season five approaches. Turkish actress Feyza Civelek, who has played Nilay Ünal since the debut episode, is set to leave the show, concluding one of the most extended character arcs in the series.

Produced by Gold Film and overseen by producer Faruk Turgut, Kızılcık Şerbeti has consistently ranked among Turkey’s top-rated television dramas since its 2022 debut. The series is celebrated for examining the cultural disparities between two families with contrasting lifestyles and values. Its success has dominated Friday night ratings and garnered a dedicated international audience.

Civelek’s exit marks a major change for the upcoming season. Her character, Nilay Ünal, became one of the series’ most memorable figures through her marriage to Mustafa Ünal, portrayed by Emrah Altıntoprak. Over four seasons, Nilay grew from a young bride into a central figure within the Ünal family, engaging in many of the show’s most emotional, dramatic, and controversial storylines.

According to entertainment reports from Turkey, the new season will feature notable alterations both in storyline and cast, with fresh characters expected to join as current storylines reach their conclusion. While details about how Nilay’s departure will be incorporated into the plot have not yet been disclosed, it clearly signals the start of a new chapter for this long-running series.

Beyond her role in the show, Civelek has garnered attention in recent weeks for a magazine feature, gracing the cover of Gardrop Magazin, edited by Gülay Özdemir. During the interview, she reflected on her acting career and future ambitions.

When asked which of her television projects has been most exciting— including “Kızılcık Şerbeti,” “Adını Feriha Koydum,” “Güllerin Savaşı,” and “Sol Yanım”—Civelek emphasized that each role has held special significance for her. She stated, “I cherished every character I played; each one is extremely valuable to me.”

Looking ahead, the actress expressed her desire to continue challenging herself with diverse roles. “I aim to portray a variety of interesting characters and to do so in high-quality productions,” she shared, indicating her interest in exploring new opportunities beyond her most famous role.

Following reports that she might not return for season five, Civelek’s social media activity has sparked curiosity among fans, as she recently deactivated her accounts, fueling speculation about her departure from the series.

Civelek’s rise to national fame began with her roles in projects like “Adını Feriha Koydum,” later appearing in “Güllerin Savaşı” and “Sol Yanım,” before reaching wide recognition with Kızılcık Şerbeti. Her portrayal of Nilay was praised for blending emotional depth, humor, and intensity, making her one of the standout performers in the series.

As production continues for season five, viewers are eager to see how the storyline will unfold following Nilay’s exit and how the show will transition into its next phase. With Civelek stepping away after four successful seasons, Kızılcık Şerbeti is preparing for a new era, and fans are awaiting the direction the series will take moving forward.

  • Stranger Things Season 5 Scene Sparks Controversy

Stranger Things Season 5 Scene Sparks Controversy

Digital Phablet – The finale of Stranger Things Season 5 recently sparked discussions on social media over a particular scene where Will Byers (portrayed by Noah Schnapp) comes out as gay to his loved ones while the world faces imminent danger.

Throughout the show’s run, Will’s sexual orientation has been a topic of conversation among fans, and in the final episode, the character openly tells his family and friends that he “doesn’t like girls.” Schnapp shared with Variety, “I was initially concerned that I might need to prepare for this, but honestly, it was flawless. I had no suggestions for changes.” The 21-year-old actor also mentioned that he was “just in tears” and found the scene to be “perfect.”

Controversy Over the Final Scene in Stranger Things Season 5

He further explained, “I was so emotionally absorbed and overwhelmed that I blocked out everyone around me. I had to do that because it was so nerve-wracking knowing the entire cast was watching.” Schnapp added, “Winona was right next to me, along with the boys and Maya [Hawke]. It all felt like a blur. I don’t remember everyone’s reactions precisely, but watching it later, it felt authentic.”

The scene took multiple 12-hour shooting days and a few reshoots to finalize. However, the episode, titled “Chapter Seven: The Bridge,” which features this moment, currently ranks as one of the lower-rated episodes on IMDb, earning a 6/10 rating based on over 40,000 reviews.

Many viewers expressed disappointment, criticizing its pacing and storytelling. Some reviews on IMDb labeled it as a “disappointment,” citing bloated pacing, while others on X (formerly Twitter) declared, “Season 5 of Stranger Things is so bad—one of the worst ever.”

    Social Media Reactions and Criticism

Schnapp revealed, “I was so emotional during the shoot of Will’s big reveal in Volume 2 of Season 5: ‘It was like a 12-hour day of just that monologue.’ I was so caught up in what I was feeling that I tuned out everyone around me. I had to because it was so intense to have the cast watching.”

He also shared, “Winona was beside me, and the boys along with Maya [Hawke] surrounded me. It was all a blur. Watching it back, I think it was genuine, and it felt real.”

The scene, however, burdened with extensive filming and multiple takes, has drawn criticism from viewers, with many considering it a letdown. As of now, “Chapter Seven: The Bridge” holds a notably low rating on IMDb with mixed reviews—some calling it a disappointment due to pacing issues and uneven storyline. On social platforms, users continue to voice their dissatisfaction, with comments like, “Season 5 just doesn’t compare to earlier seasons,” and “This season has been a real disappointment overall.”

Venice Tragedy: Emily in Paris Assistant Director Dies During Season 5

Digital Phablet – One of the individuals involved in the popular series Emily in Paris passed away during filming of the fifth season in Venice.

The person has been identified by La Repubblica as 47-year-old Diego Borella, who served as an assistant director on the show. Emergency services responded to the Hotel Danieli in Venice around 7:00 PM local time (6:00 PM BST) last Thursday, but unfortunately, efforts to save him were unsuccessful, according to reports.

A statement from Paramount Television Studios expressed their deep sorrow over the sudden loss of a member of the Emily in Paris production team. The studio is responsible for producing the series for Netflix.

An official tweet from Le Parisien also reported that the assistant director working on Emily in Paris collapsed and died while preparing for a shot. Borella reportedly fainted in front of colleagues as they were getting ready to shoot a scene; despite medical personnel’s attempts to help, he passed away immediately. Following his death, filming for the show was temporarily paused.

The studio extended their heartfelt condolences to Borella’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

The romantic comedy series Emily in Paris first premiered in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It follows Emily Cooper, an American marketing expert working in Paris, portrayed by Lily Collins, as she navigates her personal and professional life.

  • Admit It — You Still Love Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser

Admit It — You Still Love Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser

It’s easy to tease Stranger Things for the lengthy wait leading up to its conclusion. By the end of season 5, which airs later this year, the beloved Netflix series will have rolled out 42 episodes over nearly a decade. In comparison, The X-Files cranked out approximately 200 episodes in less than nine years. While the pandemic and industry strikes offer valid explanations for the delays, the extended breaks in Stranger Things have left many fans feeling frustrated, to the extent where some are doubting their interest in the final season.

However, after catching a glimpse of the season 5 teaser trailer, any lingering resentment has transformed into pure anticipation. The preview is thrilling, and I’m eager for the series’ final chapter this fall.

Set in the autumn of 1987, season 5 starts more than a year after the fourth season’s events. The Upside Down has infiltrated Hawkins, but there’s more at stake. The military is now in charge of the town and is on the hunt for Eleven. They seem to be targeting the wrong individual—or entity, rather. Vecna emerges as the primary menace, and the trailer indicates that this treacherous figure will make a comeback, especially as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches. If the military can’t help confront Vecna, it’s up to the core group to once again save the world.

“Where this blood leads, I need you to fight one last time,” Hopper tells Eleven in the trailer. “Let’s end this, kid.”

The cast that fans have cherished is set to return for this final season. Winona Ryder reprises her role as Joyce Byers, alongside David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, and many others including Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers).

New faces joining the team are Nell Fisher as Holly Wheeler, Jake Connelly as Derek Turnbow, Alex Breaux as Lt. Akers, and Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay.

This concluding season will consist of eight episodes with titles like The Crawl, The Vanishing of…, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge, and The Rightside Up.

Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things has become a cornerstone of Netflix’s offerings, renowned as one of its most popular and valuable series.

The release schedule for season 5 is as follows: Volume 1 (episodes 1-4) debuts on November 26, Volume 2 (episodes 5-7) on December 25, and the finale (episode 8) will drop on December 31.

  • Yellowstone Season 6 Spoilers And Costner Update

Yellowstone Season 6 Spoilers And Costner Update

After a nearly two-year break, the second part of season 5 of Yellowstone is set to return this November. Since the show last aired in January 2023, viewers have been treated to plenty of twists and turns. The addition of a new season, along with Kevin Costner’s exit, has stirred the pot surrounding this iconic series.

Before the launch of season 5, part 2, Yellowstone director Christina Voros chatted with The Hollywood Reporter about some of the show’s most pressing issues. Given its immense popularity, Voros noted that series creator Taylor Sheridan aimed to minimize leaks as much as possible. Voros even humorously remarked that the efforts of Yellowstone to maintain confidentiality rivaled those of Marvel.

“The focus was more on safeguarding the experience for the audience rather than being secretive,” Voros stated. “We took substantial measures. I filled the role of script coordinator and personally redacted scenes for each cast member. Many actors only received the parts of the script relevant to their characters. This meant that even some of our seasoned performers, who have been on set for seven years, won’t know what happens until the premiere.”

Voros shared that she will direct the first four episodes of the upcoming season, with Michael Friedman helming the fifth, and Sheridan directing the final episode. Regarding the finale, questions linger about whether the sixth episode will conclude the season or the entire series. Initially, season 5, part 2 was promoted as the series finale, but more recent updates hinted at a potential season 6 featuring Kelly Reilly’s Beth and Cole Hauser’s Rip. Voros did not confirm or deny these rumors.

“The level of secrecy surrounding this has definitely created an atmosphere of protection for the conclusion of the show,” Voros remarked about the finale. “As for what lies ahead? I genuinely don’t know.”

With the news of Costner’s departure from Yellowstone back in June, fans are left wondering about his character, John Dutton, and his role in the forthcoming episodes. Despite his exit, the most recent trailer prominently featured him. What’s Voros’ take on this?

“His role is essential. To go into further detail might compromise the careful work we’ve done to redact the scripts,” Voros explained. “People are curious about his presence because he is the family patriarch and his character is crucial to the narrative. John Dutton remains a central figure.”

The second part of season 5 of Yellowstone will premiere on the Paramount Network at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 10.
