How to get Rope to complete the Sculptor in GreedFall 2: The Dying World

During the main quest “The Escape” in GreedFall: The Dying World, you might come across a group of bandits and hear someone calling for help. The voice belongs to a friendly sculptor trapped under rocks and unable to get out.

To finish this side quest easily and quickly, without unnecessary wandering, you need to find some rope nearby. Here’s how to locate rope and help the sculptor in GreedFall: The Dying World.

How to Get Rope and Free the Sculptor

While on the main quest “The Escape,” you are supposed to meet Ludwig’s contact, usually fishing in the Eskiara Coastal Region. But upon arrival, you find no one fishing, signs of a struggle, and tracks leading up the hill.

Instead of following the footprints right, go left toward the Ruins of an Ancient Civilization. Along the way, you’ll encounter monkey workers to defeat for loot, followed by a group of men. After dealing with them, listen for a crying voice. This triggers the “Rock Bottom” side quest, which you can track in your journal.

Climb the stone ledges on the right side of the area, follow the short path to the left, and you’ll find who the voice belongs to. It’s Eser, a man trapped in rocks after falling there accidentally.

You won’t be able to free Eser without some rope, so your next goal is to find or craft some. You can continue following the marker for the main quest to find Ludwig’s contact or head back toward the shoreline and the footprints.

Eventually, you’ll reach a wooden cabin with bandits outside. Talk to the bandit leader to explain your situation. They will ask for a favor in exchange for releasing Ludwig’s contact. Your options include requesting to see the fisherman, offering gold, attacking, asking about different topics, or leaving.

Choose to see the fisherman, and the bandit leader will agree. A cutscene begins where you talk to the fisherman inside. Ask him all you can for information, then speak again with the bandit leader.

It’s recommended to sneak in and rescue the fisherman directly, to avoid confrontation. To do this, head around to the back of the cabin, crouch behind cover, and quietly knock out guards along the way.

Once inside, the door to the cabin is locked. Knock out the guard to the right and take his key. Use it to unlock the door and go inside—here, you’ll find the fisherman and a coil of rope on a barrel. Take the rope to complete this part of the quest.

Sneak out from the bandit camp and head back to Eser to deliver the rope. You can choose to ask for a better reward or refuse to help, but helping him is usually the best option. Follow him to his camp to receive your reward, which includes +400 experience points and a Statue of the Ruins. You can also loot nearby boxes for valuables and coins.

  • Top Spots for Completing Rope in Arc Raiders

Top Spots for Completing Rope in Arc Raiders

In Arc Raiders, you need to gather supplies, fight enemies, and craft items to stay alive on surface level. This means collecting a variety of items that will help you craft gear giving you the upper hand.

One essential item to pick up is Rope. At first, it might seem simple, but it’s actually a crucial component for making the game’s two best traversal tools. Here’s everything you need to know about finding Rope, what it’s used for, and how to get it.

    Where to Find Rope

If you’re searching for Rope, keep in mind it’s categorized as a Residential and Commercial item. That means it’s more likely to appear in locations marked with person icons or arrow symbols. Focus your search on places known to have these kinds of items, which will make your farming easier. Recommended locations include:

    • Grandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, and Plaza Rosa in Buried City
    • Village in The Blue Gate
    • Cultural Archives in Stella Montis

Of these, starting in Buried City is highly recommended. The southern part of the map is great for finding Residential or Commercial items, especially around the Grandioso Apartments and Plaza Rosa. Search all cabinets, drawers, and lockers, as these are spots where Rope usually spawns. Also, check all the smaller apartments between the main locations; these often contain useful items.

Note: Be cautious around Plaza Rosa, as you’ll likely encounter enemies like Bastions or Bombardiers roaming the area.

Other good options include the Village in The Blue Gate and the Cultural Archives. The village is packed with two- and three-story buildings that often have containers filled with loot, making it a safe place for solo players since it offers good cover from enemies or rival players.

On the other hand, the Cultural Archives is more dangerous but has a high reward. This location is vast, with many breakable crates, but you’ll likely face Ticks and at least one Shredder while exploring.

    How to Buy Rope

If scavenging isn’t your style, you can purchase Rope from vendor Celeste. She sells up to five Ropes per day, each costing 10 Assorted Seeds. This can be a quick way to restock if needed, especially for casual play.

Since Rope is essential for crafting both the Zipline and Snaphook, it’s easy to run out. To stay prepared, consider buying a few pieces each day to keep your supplies topped off. Keep in mind, you need the Snaphook blueprint to craft it, so Rope might not be as important if you haven’t unlocked that yet.

Additional note: You cannot craft Rope or recycle items into Rope, so always pick it up whenever you find it in the wild.

Fast Guide to Completing Silk Rope in Grounded 2: Solving the Puzzle

Building and crafting are essential parts of surviving in Grounded 2. As you defend yourself against the bugs in Brookhollow Park, it’s smart to gather enough Silk Ropes for your crafting projects. Having a good supply of Silk Ropes on hand will save you time and effort later.

To make Silk Rope, you’ll need to collect certain materials. The area outside the Ominent Onboarding Facility in Snackbar Front has everything you’ll need nearby.

What do you need to make Silk Rope?
The first step is to craft a Wheel Spinner, a device that quickly turns Web Fiber into Silk Rope.

You can also use the Wheel Spinner to make Crude Rope from Plant Fiber.

Materials needed to craft a Wheel Spinner:

    • 4 Red Ant Parts
    • 4 Crude Ropes
    • 4 Clay
    • 3 Sap
    • 2 Acorn Tops

Once you’ve built the Wheel Spinner, start harvesting Web Fiber. This fiber can be found on spider webs around the yard, and you can locate them using the Resource Finder map tool.

    How to gather Web Fiber:

    • Hunt and defeat spiders in Brookhollow Park.
    • Attack stray webs or destroy Web Sacs near spider nests.

Warning: Destroying a Web Sac will summon a Spiderling and draw other spiders’ attention, so be ready to defend yourself. It’s advisable to wear anti-Venom armor and use mutations or smoothies when hunting spiders to increase your chances of survival against Wolf Spiders.

How to make Silk Rope quickly:
After crafting your Wheel Spinner and collecting Web Fiber, return to your base. Activate the Spinner, select the Silk Rope option, and it will start converting your Web Fiber into Silk Rope automatically.

You can also find Web Fiber stored in nearby chests, so you don’t have to carry all of it in your backpack.

    Maximizing Silk Rope production:
To gather Silk Rope efficiently, craft multiple Wheel Spinners and fill each to capacity. Each Spinner makes six Silk Ropes at a time. For example, using three Spinners can produce 18 Silk Ropes in a short period.

  • Unlocking Rope Essentials in Aloft

    Unlocking Rope Essentials in Aloft

Aloft immerses you in a one-of-a-kind adventure that lets you navigate the skies and discover numerous islands suspended in the air. Before you can fully explore these aerial realms, you’ll need to create various items to establish your home island. Crafting these items adds layers of enjoyment to the game.

One of the key materials you’ll need is rope, which can be quite a challenge to gather in the early stages of the game. Rope is essential for constructing most sailing gear, as well as weapons and other valuable tools.

    How to Obtain Rope

The primary way to craft rope is by using Mykter Fibre, which you can collect after defeating corrupted mushroom enemies on corrupted islands. If you’re playing in Peaceful Mode, it might be difficult to find these enemies, but you can still gather Mykter Fibres by taking down large corruption mushrooms and crafting rope at a workbench.

A simpler method to gather rope is by scavenging it from various islands. Rope piles can commonly be found scattered across islands that have a lot of sailing gear. You’ll need as much rope as you can get, as it’s used for a variety of crafting needs, so take some time to search thoroughly.

Look for piles of rope stacked on these deserted islands that may have once hosted flying ships. A notable location for this is the island featuring two lost knowledge anchors during the Forgotten Legacy quest.

Additionally, you can create different types of rope, such as waxed rope by combining 2 ropes and 1 wax gathered from bees. As you advance through the game, you’ll also find flax fiber, which can be used to make rope at the workbench.
