Tiffany Haddish Mocks Trump Over FIFA Role on Jimmy Kimmel

Digital Phablet – Tiffany Haddish targeted Trump during her guest-host debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Donald Trump’s phone call regarding the World Cup has sparked a late-night roasting. During her first appearance as guest host, Haddish delivered sharp humor about the president’s controversial involvement with FIFA, among other topics.

Haddish criticized President Donald Trump for meddling in the World Cup during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday. According to the Independent, she kicked off her week-long hosting stint by condemning Trump’s controversial call to FIFA. She is filling in for Kimmel during his usual two-month summer break from the show.

Haddish stated on the show that Trump reinstated a U.S. FIFA player, claiming it was “the first time he ever defended a Black person.” She added, “Of course, no one in the left-wing media will call her out for this wild claim.” (source: @theMRC)

Trump had reached out to FIFA President Gianni Infantino to express his dissatisfaction with U.S. star Folarin Balogun’s red card during the Bosnia-Herzegovina match. Subsequently, FIFA announced that the red card had been suspended, allowing him to participate in the knockout stage against Belgium. On Monday, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he “asked for a review by FIFA” but denied any involvement in the decision.

Haddish addressed the situation directly on the show. “One of our star players was supposed to be suspended from tonight’s game, but President Trump personally called FIFA to get him reinstated,” she claimed. She then remarked, “Which is surprising because Trump doesn’t know anything about soccer, and it’s the first time he’s ever defended a Black person!”

Despite his efforts, the U.S. men’s soccer team lost 4-1 to Belgium on Monday. Trump responded on Truth Social, saying, “Thank you to FIFA for doing what was right and reversing a great injustice.” The incident continues to be the subject of ridicule worldwide.

Haddish also took aim at Trump’s Great American State Fair, which saw low attendance due to extreme heat and canceled performances. “Trump claimed the event would be, and I quote, ‘packed to the brim,’” she said. “Honestly, there were more people at my bar mitzvah.” Starting July 13, actor Anthony Anderson will take over the guest hosting duties.

  • Did Uğur Güneş Take a Swipe at Burak Özçivit After Losing a Role?

Did Uğur Güneş Take a Swipe at Burak Özçivit After Losing a Role?

Digital Phablet – Uğur Güneş and Burak Özçivit have become the center of a casting dispute.

The controversy involves ATV’s highly awaited new series Güneşin Doğduğu Yer (The Place Where the Sun Rises), a high-budget Tims&B production scheduled to film in Adana.

Initially, filming was set to commence in mid-June, but plans suddenly shifted. Turkish media reported a delay until June 25, raising questions about the behind-the-scenes happenings.

Shortly after, reports surfaced indicating that lead actor Uğur Güneş had exited the project even before filming started. Güneş had been preparing to portray Kenan Kozan, a key character in the narrative, who is the son of Celadet and a significant figure in the Kozan family. Turkish actress Sibel Taşçıoğlu is expected to play Celadet.

Sources indicate that Güneş and the production team couldn’t agree on the final contract terms, with disagreements over conditions leading to his departure.

Not long after this news broke, another surprising development occurred.

Several outlets reported that Burak Özçivit, who recently wrapped up a six-season run on ATV’s hit series Kuruluş Osman, was in negotiations to assume the lead role. Reports suggested that Özçivit was close to finalizing the agreement to portray Kenan Kozan.

Interest in his participation grew when entertainment sources claimed Özçivit was highly impressed by the script and personally showed enthusiasm for joining the project. Although no official confirmation has been provided, these rumors quickly spread across Turkish media and social platforms.

Attention then turned to Uğur Güneş’s social media activity. After the casting change, the actor posted messages interpreted by many as references to the ongoing situation.

One social media post read: “Neither Mecca nor the dervish lodge can cleanse a violated right,” which rapidly circulated online. He later shared another message, “Doymadın doyamadın” (“You were never satisfied”), fueling further speculation among fans and entertainment critics.

While Güneş never explicitly named Özçivit, many followers saw these posts as indirect criticisms of the developments surrounding the series. Some believed the messages addressed entirely different issues. Neither actor has publicly commented on the matter.

Further, Güneş expressed his views about the industry, stating, “It’s not just about being an actor; the story is the true star.” He shared some insights about preparing for his role in Güneşin Doğduğu Yer and made comments about his colleagues, which drew notable attention.

The upcoming drama, penned by Yıldız Tunç, tells the story of Kenan, a member of one of Çukurova’s most influential families, and Tina, a German woman whose life becomes intertwined with his. It’s considered one of ATV’s largest projects for the upcoming TV season.

Currently, the project remains under scrutiny as fans await confirmation of Özçivit’s official signing and responses from either actor regarding the controversy.

Experts Warn Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria Role Could Impact Her Image

Digital Phablet – Sydney Sweeney’s Success in Euphoria Sparks Conversation About Her Image

Sydney Sweeney’s compelling and courageous performance in Euphoria has quickly placed her among Hollywood’s emerging stars. Yet, industry experts now express concerns that the intense focus on the show’s provocative content might threaten her public image if discussions shift away from her acting abilities.

Analysts warn that some scenes from Sweeney’s role in Euphoria could potentially impact her career prospects. Since the third season’s debut on April 12, Sweeney has been a prominent topic online. While branding specialists believe her current visibility benefits her, they also caution that if her portrayals are overshadowed by viral clips and controversies, Hollywood’s perception of her may change. Dave Quast, the founder of EDQ Strategies, explains that her breakout success stems partly from her fans perceiving her as a bold and daring actress on screen.

“Euphoria has clearly established Sydney Sweeney as a fearless performer, both physically and emotionally,” Quast states. “That’s a key reason she has broken through the ranks. However, the danger lies in public discussions simplifying her complex performances into mere sensational images. If conversations focus more on the sexual elements than her acting craft, it could narrow her brand’s boundaries,” he warns.

Sexuality in film and television, according to Quast, doesn’t necessarily undermine an actor’s credibility. The bigger concern, he suggests, is when audiences begin to associate an actor solely with a specific image or stereotype. “The challenge isn’t her performing in sexualized roles,” he emphasizes. “It’s making sure those moments are viewed as deliberate character choices and not the entirety of her professional identity.”

Despite these concerns, industry experts agree that Sweeney’s high profile remains a significant asset in today’s entertainment world. “Visibility is power,” Quast remarks. “She’s one of the few young actresses consistently able to generate conversations across a broad spectrum of topics. That kind of recognition has substantial commercial value.”

Sydney Sweeney in "Euphoria" Season 3

In summary, while Sweeney’s bold roles and public perception continue to place her squarely in the spotlight, industry observers advise that managing her brand carefully is crucial. Balancing her daring performances with strategic public relations can help ensure her continued success in Hollywood’s competitive landscape.

  • Top Stadium Heroes for Completing Every Role in Overwatch 2

Top Stadium Heroes for Completing Every Role in Overwatch 2

In Overwatch 2’s Stadium mode, heroes are played in a more intense way, where every build and choice can change the outcome. Building the right team with tanks that can hold the line, damage dealers who can wipe out enemies quickly, and supports that keep everyone alive becomes even more important.

We base our recommendations on how often heroes are picked and our own experience. Think of it as a way to get better without having to find out everything the hard way.

    How Our Stadium Tiers Work

Stadium mode depends on hero setups that focus on earning money, scaling abilities, and staying alive. The heroes are ranked into tiers:

    • S Tier: Heroes who dominate almost every match.
    • A Tier: Strong heroes with reliable performance but not quite as dominant.
    • B Tier: Situational heroes; require careful play.
    • C Tier: Underperforming heroes in this mode; often outshined by others.

    S Tier Stadium Heroes

Heroes in S Tier are known for their strong offense, versatility, or survivability. They are dependable picks no matter the situation.

    • Sigma: A very flexible tank with powerful skills that help both attack and defense.
    • Cassidy: High damage output, capable of quickly taking out enemy tanks.
    • Soldier: Excellent in tracking-based aim builds, very powerful here.
    • Moira: Great survivability combined with damage, life steal, and high money generation.
    • Reinhardt: His charge is both fun and effective; his shield lasts longer than most.
    • Juno: Maxing out her torpedoes and ability power makes her a big threat.
    • Kiriko: A fun healer with ninja damage builds; her teleportation ability is highly useful.
    Hero Role Why They’re Here
Sigma Tank Very flexible with strong abilities for offense and defense.
Cassidy Damage Can quickly eliminate main targets.
Soldier Damage Tracking builds make him very consistent.
Moira Support Survives well and deals damage while generating income.
Reinhardt Tank His shield and charge help control the fight.
Juno Support Her torpedoes and abilities make her dangerous in battles.
Kiriko Support Versatile healing and teleportation boost her value for offense and defense.

    A Tier Stadium Heroes

Heroes in A Tier are still solid, but they might need specific setups or favorable matchups to shine.

    • Genji: Very mobile, dangerous with weapon power and melee builds.
    • Zarya: Flexible and reliable in many matchups.
    • Mercy: A dependable healer to keep teammates alive.
    • Pharah: High damage and aerial control, but vulnerable to counters.
    • Brigitte: Strong tank or support with multiple build options.
    • Reaper: High kill potential with teleport and special attacks.
    • Ana: Good in niche scenarios but less consistent overall.
    • Winston: Struggles a bit here due to lower damage and scaling.
    Hero Role Why They’re Here
Junker Queen Tank High-impact hero with pull abilities and anti-heal tools.
Genji Damage Highly mobile with weapon and melee power.
Mei Damage Niche hero; powerful in specific situations.
Mercy Support Reliable for consistent healing.
Pharah Damage Strong in aerial positions; vulnerable to certain counters.
Brigitte Support Can build into a tough tank or a solid healer.
Zarya Tank Very adaptable and dependable across matches.
Reaper Damage Excels at multiple kills, teleporting, and using Death Blossom repeatedly.

    B Tier Stadium Heroes

Heroes here work but are often overshadowed or need perfect conditions.

    • Ana: Can be useful but easily countered.
    • Winston: Low damage output and scaling make him less effective.
    • D.Va: Lacks the durability and damage compared to others.
    • Orisa: Less impactful in this mode.
    • Zenyatta: Power split across weapons and abilities makes cohesive setup harder.
    • Lucio: Can be overwhelmed by hero damage output.
    Hero Role Why They’re Here
Ana Support Limited by counters and weaker healing compared to others.
Winston Tank Struggles due to poor scaling and damage.
D.Va Tank Less effective for survivability and damage.
Orisa Tank Less impactful than other tanks here.
Lucio Support Easily overwhelmed by damage-heavy heroes.
Junkrat Damage Good at spam and area denial but easily countered.
Zenyatta Support Distributes power among skills, making cohesive builds difficult.

    C Tier Stadium Heroes

Heroes in this tier often fail to make an impact.

    • Ashe: Slow mobility and easily countered damage builds.
    • D.Va: Lack of survivability and damage.
    • Orisa: Less threatening and impactful.
    • Winston: Poor scaling and damage output.
    • Ana: Weaker healing in this mode.
    • Lucio: Not enough survivability.
    • Junkrat: Situational, easily shut down.
    • Zenyatta: Difficult to use effectively here.
    Hero Role Why They’re Here
Ashe Damage Low mobility; damage builds are easily countered.
D.Va Tank Lacks durability and damage to compete.
Orisa Tank Less effective than other tanks.
Winston Tank Scaling and damage issues limit effectiveness.
Ana Support Weaker healing compared to better options.
Winston Tank Lacks the damage to stand out.
Junkrat Damage Easy to counter; less consistent performance.
Zenyatta Support Cohesive use is hard, and output is limited.

Who To Pick for Each Role: Tank, Damage, and Support

In Stadium mode, the best tanks are Sigma and Reinhardt. Sigma’s versatility and strong abilities help in many situations, while Reinhardt’s shield and charge make him perfect for space control and protecting teammates.

For damage, Cassidy and Soldier shine. Cassidy can quickly eliminate key targets, and Soldier’s tracking skills make him reliable.

On the support side, Moira, Juno, and Kiriko are top choices. Moira offers healing combined with survivability and damage, while Kiriko’s healing and teleportation make her valuable for both attack and defense. Juno’s torpedoes and ability power let her excel when played aggressively.

  • Colin Farrell Considers New Role at DC Studios

Colin Farrell Considers New Role at DC Studios

Colin Farrell may soon take on another character from the DC Universe.

According to Deadline, Farrell is in discussions for the lead role in Luca Guadagnino’s adaptation of Sgt. Rock, a superhero film inspired by the DC Comics character. The screenplay for Sgt. Rock will be crafted by writer Justin Kuritzkes, known for his unique perspectives.

Farrell’s interest in the project comes after Daniel Craig’s departure from the role earlier this year. DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran noted that they “had never met with Daniel” regarding Sgt. Rock and claimed there had been no official announcement about the film.

If Farrell agrees to the role, shooting is anticipated to kick off later this year. He would portray Sgt. Franklin John Rock, a World War II hero and commander of the U.S. Army’s Easy Company. The character is known for being an exemplary soldier and skilled marksman, playing a vital role in defeating Nazi Germany. Sgt. Rock first appeared in Our Army at War No. 83, released in 1959.

Currently, Farrell is known for his portrayal of Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, in the Batman crime saga. His character made an initial appearance in 2022’s The Batman and will be featured in his own HBO spinoff series titled The Penguin. Alex Welch reviewed the series for Digital Trends, stating, “HBO’s The Penguin is one of the rare franchise spinoffs that successfully establishes its own identity, thanks to the compelling performances from Cristin Milioti and Colin Farrell.”

Farrell has garnered widespread acclaim for his work in the series, earning accolades including a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Award, Saturn Award, and SAG Award.

Since The Penguin falls under the DC Elseworlds banner while Sgt. Rock is part of the main DC Universe, it is conceivable for Farrell to play both characters simultaneously without any crossover.

Farrell is also anticipated to reprise his role as the Penguin in The Batman Part II, scheduled for theatrical release on October 1, 2027.

  • Colman Domingo Confirms Marvel Talks, Wants His Own Role

Colman Domingo Confirms Marvel Talks, Wants His Own Role

Following Jonathan Majors’ departure from Marvel, Colman Domingo has emerged as a potential candidate to take on the role of Kang the Conqueror.

During a recent chat with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Domingo clarified his involvement with Marvel. After noticing his name frequently linked to Kang, he and his team decided to reach out to the studio for clarification.

“When I kept seeing it in the media and on social media, I thought, ‘Hold on. Is this actually happening? Am I being considered for Kang?’” Domingo shared with Horowitz. “I called my team and asked, ‘Are there discussions going on that I don’t know about?’ They assured me there weren’t. ‘Are you sure you’re not being secretive or something?’ They weren’t.”

Originally, Majors was positioned to be the next major antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, succeeding Josh Brolin’s Thanos. However, in December 2023, Marvel terminated Majors’ contract after he was convicted of reckless assault and harassment. This left the studio searching for a new actor to portray the villain in the previously titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

While Domingo expressed interest in joining the Marvel franchise, he made it clear he wasn’t looking to take Majors’ place. The two-time Oscar nominee is keen on creating a character that is uniquely his own, built “from the ground up.”

“I’m all about the right energy, and I want to engage in projects that resonate and bring positive energy,” Domingo explained. “I’m searching for a part that belongs to me, in whatever form that takes. It just didn’t feel right to think about replacing someone else. I want to cultivate something that is entirely my own.”

Eventually, Marvel shifted its focus from Kang to Doctor Doom and cast Robert Downey Jr. for Avengers: Doomsday.

Currently, Domingo lends his voice to Norman Osborn in the Disney+ series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
