How to Overcome The Red Death in Vampire Crawlers by Completing and Solving

Vampire Crawlers features many enemies similar to those in Vampire Survivors, with the Red Death being the most memorable. In this universe, the Red Death is the classic Grim Reaper figure. It initially appears as an obstacle that signals the end of your run, indicating you’ve completed the current dungeon and can move on.

However, you can choose to fight the Red Death as an optional boss. Be prepared—this won’t be easy—and you’ll need to meet certain conditions before the fight begins. Here’s everything you need to know about how to face and defeat the Red Death in Vampire Crawlers.

    ### How To Fight The Red Death

To trigger the fight against Death, you must finish any dungeon while having at least one Revival (shown as a cake icon in the top right corner). When you meet this requirement, you’ll see a second option on the Stage Completed screen: Revive. If you select this, a battle against the Red Death will begin.

To have at least one Revive, you should increase your Revival stat in one of the following ways:
    – Play as Krochi, who starts with a full Revive and gains a small percentage each time you use a Wild Card.
    – Upgrade your Revival Power Up, which grants one Revive.
    – Use the Tirajisú card, which boosts your Revival by ten percent (but it gets destroyed after use).

The first two methods are the easiest for securing at least one Revive, but if you combine Wild Cards effectively, Tirajisú can provide a significant boost.

Before starting the fight, it’s recommended to have certain items equipped: Draw, Bracer, Clock Lancet, and a few Wild Cards not destroyed after use, plus some Tomes—especially if they contain Gems that reduce Mana costs. Gems that boost your combo or mana regeneration between turns are also helpful.

    ### How To Defeat The Red Death

Fighting the Red Death is about endurance and avoiding mistakes, as it can wipe you out with a single hit. It attacks with 333 damage when all six of its eyes are open. If your character isn’t built with multiple Hollow Hearts or similar upgrades, a single hit will likely end your run.

The Clock Lancet is crucial here: when only one eye remains open, use it (or a card with its Gem) to freeze the Red Death. This prevents it from attacking and resets its eye countdown.

To stay prepared, make sure you have:
    – Increased hand size.
    – Bracers equipped.
    – Draw cards.
    – Tomes that provide Mana, allowing frequent use of Clock Lancet.

Using Crawlers that draw when you play cards of specific colors can also help, especially if you’ve unlocked slots via Power Ups. Playing as Krochi is advantageous for a Revive boost.

Your main strategy should be to maximize damage, keep your Wild Cards active to sustain your combo, and use Tomes to replenish Mana as needed. Always pay close attention to the eyes on the Red Death. Adjust your combo timing according to how many eyes are left to avoid losing momentum when you need to freeze it.

Remember, don’t use the same card more than four times in a single turn—that will break your combo and trigger the Trickster enemy.

This fight tests your endurance because the Red Death has one million HP. Consistent damage output and staying alive longer will eventually wear down its health, especially if you’ve increased your damage through extra projectiles and boosts.

    ### Final Blow and Rewards

Keep attacking until you deal the final hit. Afterward, you’ll see an opportunity to collect extra coins from your relics. Keep fighting and stay ready for the moment to land the finishing blow.

Once you defeat the Red Death, you might be surprised to see a shovel for completing the level. Interacting with it causes another Red Death to appear and eliminate your character. You can restart the fight if you wish.

Interestingly, defeating the Red Death doesn’t grant any achievements or in-game messages—it’s a hidden challenge. However, your reward is unlocking the last character, MissingN0, who becomes available at the Inn after the fight.

  • How to Complete Every Red Zone in Pragmata with Solving Skills

How to Complete Every Red Zone in Pragmata with Solving Skills

The combat in Pragmata is already tough on its own, no matter which difficulty level you pick. Along the way through each area, called sectors, you’ll find optional combat challenges known as Red Zones, marked as hazards on your map.

Use your Red Zone Keys to unlock each Red Zone and earn various rewards. Be sure to upgrade your gear before taking on these challenges—it’s important, especially since you’ll also unlock rows on the Cabin Bingo Board by completing them.

    What Are Red Zones?

In the Mass Array Production sector of Pragmata, you’ll encounter a path blocked by a red transparent screen that prevents further progress until you obtain authorized access. Behind these barriers are Red Zones—optional combat challenges scattered throughout sectors on the moon.

You can see Red Zones on your map for each sector; they are marked as dangerous areas if you choose to enter. When you find a Red Zone and try to interact with the lock on its side, the game gives you information about that Red Zone and checks if you’re eligible to enter. It also warns you that it’s a tough fight.

To access a Red Zone, you need to find a Red Zone Key to open the barrier. These keys might be discovered while chasing rewards shown on Diana’s Item Scanner or when you scan the immediate area with the Unit Printer, as the game labels Red Zone rewards as collectibles.

Once inside, you’ll face waves of challenging enemies, which become tougher as you advance in the game. Properly preparing your loadout before entering is vital. After using your ammo, you’ll need to find additional supplies, such as weapon mods and items dropped by enemies, to stay stocked up.

Enemies will drop weapons and mods that can help, often providing some of the best options for your fight, which can guide your choices if you decide to return later.

The door to each Red Zone locks behind you once you enter, so you’ll need to clear all enemies to escape or face the consequences.

After defeating all enemies, you can open chests containing rewards like Pure Lunum, Mods, Upgrade Components, and more. These are essential for upgrading your equipment, making Red Zones valuable even beyond the challenge.

Clearing certain Red Zones also unlocks new sections on Cabin Bingo Cards. Each card has areas blocked off with the same red transparent barrier, and completing Red Zones within those areas allows you to reveal and unlock those parts of the Bingo Board.

How Do You Get Red Zone Keys?

You’ll need lots of Red Zone Keys to access these high-risk, high-reward challenges. You can acquire them mainly through two methods:

    – Finding them around sectors freely—many are left unguarded for players to discover, often obtained as rewards for difficult story encounters.
    – Purchasing them with Cabin Coins from the Cabin Bingo Cards—most cards include at least one Red Zone Key, making it easy to stock up.

All Red Zones and Their Rewards

The game features multiple Red Zones across different sectors, each with unique enemies and rewards. Here’s a brief overview:

    – Shopping District (Mass Array Production Sector, at the Entrance Station): Enemies include Walkers, Watchers, Spiders, and a Crusher.
    – Business District (Mass Production Array Sector): Hostile enemies such as Spiders, Crushers, Walkers, and Creators, with rewards like the Pocket Refinery Mod and Pure Lunum.
    – Terra Dome Entrance (Sector locations vary): Details vary, but enemies and rewards are typically noteworthy.
    – Eco Modeling Lab (Terra Dome Sector, Envirolytics Station): You’ll face Bots, Watchers, and Crushers. Rewards include Pure Lunum, Collateral Damage Mod, and unique upgrades hidden in the area.
    – Terrarium (Terra Dome Sector, Meteorology Lab): Encounter unspecified enemies, with potential rewards hidden within.

To succeed in each Red Zone, study the enemy types, prepare your loadout accordingly, and bring enough supplies—ammo, mods, and upgrades. Clearing these zones will not only grant rewards but also help reveal new areas for exploration and further unlocking on your Cabin Bingo Cards.

US and Iran Set to Restart Nuclear Talks Amid Conflicting Demands

    • Negotiators from Iran and the US to address nuclear tensions in Rome.
    • Conflicts over uranium enrichment throw discussions into uncertainty.
    • Iran asserts it will hold the US accountable for any Israeli incursions.

DUBAI: On Friday, Iranian and American negotiators are set to continue discussions in Rome, aiming to find common ground on Iran’s nuclear program, despite severe warnings from Tehran’s supreme leader that achieving a renewed agreement may be impossible due to conflicting demands.

The outcome is critical for both nations: President Donald Trump is focused on limiting Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons that might provoke a nuclear arms race in the region, while Iran seeks relief from the crippling sanctions impacting its oil-dependent economy.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, will engage in a fifth round of talks, facilitated by Omani mediators. This comes amidst both Washington and Tehran publicly adopting a hardline approach regarding Iran’s uranium enrichment activities.

While Iran maintains that the discussions are indirect, US officials have stated that these talks—including the latest round on May 11 in Oman—have included both direct and indirect elements.

Araqchi, who arrived in Rome with two of his deputies, shared on X: “…Zero nuclear weapons = we have a deal. Zero enrichment = we do NOT have a deal. It’s time to make a decision.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt informed reporters on Thursday that Trump believes the negotiations with Iran are “progressing in a positive direction.”

Both Tehran and Washington have expressed a preference for resolving the deadlock through diplomacy. However, they remain significantly divided over several key issues that negotiators must navigate to reach a new nuclear agreement and prevent potential military action.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Tuesday that the goal is to form a deal allowing Iran to maintain a civilian nuclear energy program without uranium enrichment, though he acknowledged that accomplishing this will be challenging.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has final authority on Iranian matter, dismissed US demands to cease uranium refinement as “excessive and outlandish,” indicating that the negotiations are unlikely to be successful.

One significant point of contention is Tehran’s refusal to export its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, a potential component for nuclear weapons, or to engage in discussions about its ballistic missile program.

Iran claims it is willing to accept some restrictions on enrichment, which it argues is solely for civilian energy purposes, but it demands firm assurances that Washington will honor any future nuclear agreement.

Since February, Trump has intensified a campaign of “maximum pressure” on Tehran, having abandoned the 2015 nuclear agreement during his first term in 2018 and reinstating sweeping sanctions that continue to cripple the Iranian economy.

In response, Iran has escalated its uranium enrichment beyond the limits set by the 2015 agreement.

Wendy Sherman, a former US Undersecretary of Political Affairs who was part of the negotiating team for the 2015 agreement, remarked that convincing Iran to dismantle its enrichment program is unrealistic—an essential aspect of Iran’s sovereignty.

“I don’t think we can achieve an agreement with Iran where they completely dismantle their program and abandon enrichment, even though that would be the ideal scenario,” she told Reuters.

The consequences of failure in the negotiations could be severe. While Tehran insists that its nuclear activities are peaceful, its main rival, Israel, does not accept this narrative, asserting that it could never allow Iran’s clerical regime to acquire nuclear weapons.

A source informed Reuters that Israel’s Minister of Strategic Affairs and the head of its foreign intelligence service, Mossad, will also be present in Rome for discussions with the US negotiating team as they engage with Iran.

On Thursday, Araqchi warned that if Israel were to strike Iranian nuclear installations, Washington would bear legal responsibility, following reports that Israel might be planning military action.

Although rising tensions between the US and Iran over enrichment issues have cast doubt on the nuclear negotiations, three Iranian sources indicated on Tuesday that the clerical leadership lacks a clear alternative if efforts to resolve the standoff fail.
