How to Complete the Shattered Rise Prophet Boss in Saros Would you like a more creative or descriptive version?

In Saros, you’ll face many enemies determined to take you down. Just one strong hit can push Arjun off course, so stay alert and move quickly.

The first boss you’ll meet is a serious threat, and we’re here to help you understand how to beat it. Recognizing its attack patterns and knowing when to dodge or shield can really make a difference. Check out this guide to prepare for this tough challenge on Carcosa. It may take a few tries, but you’ll eventually succeed.

How To Open The Overlord Gate

As you get closer to the signal in the Shattered Rise, you’ll come across a large sealed gate. You won’t be able to open it in this area when you first arrive, so you’ll need to head up along the side path. Keep exploring this area until you unlock the teleporter, which will send you back to this gate. When you return, interact with the glowing tank on your right to break the seal on the gate.

Tip: Before moving forward, open the containers nearby. They contain your last bonuses before facing the Overlord.

Inside, you’ll find several enemies blocking your way. Defeat them to reveal a big hole underground. When you’re ready, jump down to confront the Overlord.

How To Beat The Prophet Boss

The Prophet is the first major boss Arjun faces on Carcosa, and it’s a tough opponent unlike anything you’ve encountered so far. The fight has three phases, each getting harder.

    Phase One Strategy

The fight begins with starfish-like enemies attached to the walls, protecting the Prophet’s core. You need to defeat these enemies to get the Prophet’s attention. When it opens at the center, it will shoot projectiles at you. Use these enemies to boost your shield, then attack the Prophet. When vulnerable, the Prophet will send diagonal waves of corrupted projectiles, plus a straight wave. Dash through these attacks to stay safe and keep firing at the Prophet’s core.

    Phase Two Strategy

Once you weaken the Prophet enough, you move into the second phase, which isn’t too different from the first. At this stage, the Prophet releases smaller enemies onto the ground. These foes spray corruption along the floor, so eliminate them quickly. After clearing the ground enemies, focus again on the walls. Sometimes these ground enemies drop aether, so pick it up when you can.

To dodge the corruption, jump over it and dash to avoid the patterns. Keep reducing the Prophet’s health until it hits zero, which triggers the final phase.

    Phase Three Strategy

The last phase is the most dangerous. The arena becomes a single lane filled with constant waves of projectiles. The Prophet repeats its corruption attacks, and the floor pulses with rings of dangerous projectiles. This phase tests your skills, requiring you to predict the attack patterns, leap side to side, and keep your distance so you have time to react.

Warning: Do not try to block the attacks—they will just cause you to fall to corruption. Instead, stay mobile, jump, and dash to avoid damage.

Keep firing at the Prophet. Landing perfect reloads will boost your firepower and improve your reload speed, helping you defeat it faster. Aim to get a perfect reload every time to maximize your chances. When the Prophet finally falls, follow the path behind it to unlock the next area.

  • What Does The Prophet Do in No, I’m Not a Human? Completing and Solving Explored

What Does The Prophet Do in No, I’m Not a Human? Completing and Solving Explored

In No, I’m Not a Human, there are ten endings to discover, some more difficult to find than others. You will always encounter the strange, bald prophet who visits on specific nights, but unlocking the ending associated with him can be easy to miss.

It’s straightforward to follow his first instruction, but things become less clear afterward. No worries—we have a full guide here to help you achieve the “Embrace The Inevitable” ending.

First Step: Let The Cat In
The Prophet, sometimes called the Egg Head Guy, appears on the third night and tells you to accept the cat. To do this, invite in the Cat Lady, who shows up on the fourth night as a Visitor. Only by bringing her in can you get the cat into your house. This step is important because it allows access to the basement, as the cat pulls up the carpet.

    Don’t forget:

    • It doesn’t matter which dialogue option you choose when speaking with him; the message remains the same: “Let the cat in.”
    • Be sure to eliminate the Cat Lady as soon as possible to prevent her from killing someone. She might kill on the first night she’s in your home, but sometimes she won’t; stay alert for potential danger.

It’s also wise to order some Enerjeka from ForRest and keep it stored in your fridge for later use.

Second Step: Don’t Test For Visitors on the 6th and 7th Nights
The prophet warns that testing for Visitors on the sixth and seventh days can bring doom. If you accepted the cat, he comes back on the fifth night with your next clue: “For two days yonder… Testing portends doom.”

    • Do not conduct any tests on yourself or guests during these days.
    • The prophet mentions the radio, but you don’t have to interact with it to complete this ending.

Third Step: Dig In The Basement
The prophet will return on the ninth night if you’ve followed his instructions, asking about your basement and saying, “Something’s there, beneath the soil.”

    • On the tenth day, check your armpits in the bathroom and clean them thoroughly. You can use another energy source as long as you keep at least one dose of Enerjeka unused.
    • Head to your basement; ignore any mushrooms you see as they relate to a different ending. At the very back, you’ll be prompted to dig.

    Note:

    • Digging consumes all your energy, so ensure you’ve ordered Enerjeka beforehand.
    • After your first dig, go upstairs and drink only one Enerjeka. Then return to the basement and dig again. Repeat this process until you’ve dug three times, creating a tunnel.
    • You can explore the tunnels, but they lead nowhere—except for a dead end where you can speak with the Miner for optional extra info.

The Vigilante will attempt to test you on the tenth night. Remember, digging makes your hands dirty—don’t show them unless you wash in the bathroom first. Drinking Enerjeka will cause red eyes, so hide them if necessary.

    Next Steps: The Prophet Returns
If you’ve followed his instructions properly, the prophet will come back on the twelfth night, asking about your basement again and saying, “Something’s there, beneath the soil.”

    • On the next day (the 13th), be sure to check your hands in the bathroom and clean them to be ready for the Vigilante’s visit that night.
    • Go back into your basement, enter the tunnel, and follow the path: left, right, right, then left. You’ll meet the Miner and can jump into the hole.
    • This leads to a strange landscape where you’ll see Death moving in the sky. Speak with it when close enough.
    • Your choices here don’t matter; soon, you’ll be transported to a new scene. Head toward the house, and you’ve unlocked the “Embrace The Inevitable” ending.

    Note:
Unrelated to this ending, you’ll later encounter the Prophet again if you unlock the “Yes, I’m a Murderer” ending.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet – What We Know So Far

When discussing the top PlayStation 5 titles or the greatest video games ever created, it's likely that a release from Naughty Dog will be among the list. Ahead of The Game Awards 2024, our compilation of upcoming games was already impressive, but one last announcement that night brought yet another potential contender to the forefront—one that may challenge other big names like Ghost of Yotei and Wolverine. Given that this is a project from Naughty Dog, it quickly became one of our most awaited PS5 titles, although some folks might need a little more info to get on board. We gathered as much intelligence as possible on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and here’s what we discovered.

If you don’t currently own a PS5, don't worry! There are numerous forthcoming titles for Xbox Series X, PC, and Switch as well.

    Release Window Speculation

    Naughty Dog

While a specific release date has yet to be announced for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, we can make an educated guess about its arrival. Neil Druckmann, the head of creative, mentioned that the team has been “developing this exciting new adventure since 2020.” This indicates that the game has been in production for about four years. Considering the typical development timeline for titles created by Naughty Dog, it’s reasonable to project that the game could still have another year or two in the pipeline, likely positioning it for a 2026 release.

    Naughty Dog

As a long-standing PlayStation first-party development studio, Naughty Dog's choice to make Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet a PS5 exclusive is hardly surprising. However, considering that most of Naughty Dog's recent titles have also launched on PC, it’s likely that this one will follow suit after approximately six months to a year.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games

The announcement trailer for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet debuted at the closing of The Game Awards 2024. It begins with a quote from an Ancient Sempirian Scripture: “The suffering of generations must be endured to achieve our divine end.” The setting unfolds on a luminescent red planet adorned with a shattered moon, as a spaceship approaches.

Here, we are introduced to Jordan A. Mun, a bounty hunter who embarks on a perilous mission on the treacherous world of Sempiria. Her target is Colin Graves, a member of a group referred to as the Five Aces. This isolated planet has been silent for centuries, and no one has returned from it in over 600 years. Jordan persuades her partner to take on this risky bounty, suggesting that she has personal motives beyond just the monetary reward. The trailer concludes with a dramatic encounter featuring a giant robotic adversary wielding a massive laser axe.

For the time being, that's all we know about the narrative. The development team aims to craft a story that is not only engaging but emotionally impactful, heavy on character development.

    Gameplay

    Naughty Dog

While the earlier trailer did not reveal gameplay mechanics, we can glean some insights from what we've seen. The primary weapon showcased appears to be Jordan's crimson laser sword, which she uses to jump and strike enemies at the trailer's climax. This suggests that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will likely be a third-person action game emphasizing melee combat.

However, a moment in the trailer also shows Jordan acquiring a firearm while aboard her ship, indicating that gunplay might be an option as well. Furthermore, Druckmann has previously addressed his vision for the game: “Our narrative goals are matched only by our gameplay ambitions: We aim to provide the most profound gameplay experience in Naughty Dog's history, leveraging lessons from our previous projects and pushing our boundaries further than ever before.” While this statement is somewhat vague, it undoubtedly sets high expectations.

    Preorder

As we estimate, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is still at least a year away. We will promptly update this article as soon as any preorder information becomes available.
