    Hosny Sherif’s Health Deterioration

Hosny Sherif’s condition worsened in recent hours. He was hospitalized after suffering a severe health crisis and received intensive care before he succumbed.

This was not his first health setback; he had experienced several health issues over the years, including a significant spike in blood sugar in 2015 leading to a coma and a suspected stroke, as well as a health crisis in 2020 that required hospitalization but ultimately improved.

    Who is Hosni Sherif?

Hosni Sherif Abbas Farghali was a singer and actor who emerged in the 1960s and 70s, then gradually withdrew from the spotlight. His name resurfaced following the success of his son, Tamer Hosny.

He started his artistic career in the 1960s, acting in several films until the late 1980s. Notable movies include Gedaan Haretna (1965), Masoud Saeed Leh, Kadabeen El Zaffa (1986), and El Gawaza Di Mesh Lazem Temmem (1988).

Throughout his career, he released popular songs like “Min Zayak Min” and “Limaza A’eesh,” and performed religious chants in the TV series El Haramlek.

He was married to Fatima El Sabbagh and had two sons, Tamer Hosny and Hossam. They separated when Tamer was seven years old, leading him to grow up mainly with his mother. Despite retiring from acting, he spent years in Syria before returning to Egypt.

He appeared with his son Tamer on a few occasions, including performing the song “Ghorba,” which was well-received. Tamer has spoken about his father’s influence on his singing development, despite their years apart.
