How Many Chapters Are in 007 First Light and Completing the Game?

“007 First Light” is the latest game from IO Interactive, telling the story of how James Bond became the secret agent known worldwide through books and movies. In this game, you’ll explore exotic places, take on various villains, use impressive gadgets, and jump into intense gunfights.

Mixing the open-ended gameplay of Hitman with the action and adventure style of Uncharted, “007 First Light” offers a straightforward but highly fun experience from beginning to end. However, at a price of $70, it can be hard to decide whether to buy a new game right when it releases. If you’re wondering what kind of content “007 First Light” offers and how long it takes to finish, here’s what you need to know.

    ### How Long Does It Take To Beat?

If you’re only interested in the main story, it will take around 12 to 14 hours depending on your skill. Your speed can vary more if you choose a higher difficulty level like Purist, which is the hardest setting. This mode makes enemies tougher and requires more precise combat skills.

Most players will likely finish the campaign in about 15 hours or less on normal difficulty. As you progress, unlocks like the TacSim mode become available. This mode functions as a challenge replay, where you complete specific objectives in combat and stealth scenarios to improve your score. Doing well here grants new cosmetics, gear, and weapons for continued play. It’s a fun way to keep busy if you enjoy the game’s stealth and combat parts.

    ### How Long Does It Take To 100%?

There are two ways to get all the achievements in “007 First Light.” If you’re only going for the trophies, it will add about 4 to 5 extra hours. Collecting all trophies isn’t too difficult; many can be earned in one playthrough, especially if you follow guides for finding collectibles.

The other way involves completing all challenges, including TacSim challenges and special actions during fights. These are relatively simple but will take around 10 to 15 more hours. Each level has optional challenges, like taking alternate routes or causing specific events, which aren’t needed for trophies but are necessary if you want to fully complete the game.

    ### How Many Chapters Are There?

“007 First Light” has 17 main chapters. Their lengths can vary from just a few minutes to about 15-20 minutes, depending on how much you explore. You can return to any chapter or sub-chapter through the main menu if you want to replay certain parts without spoiling the story.

Here is the list of main chapter titles:

    1. Against The Odds
    2. In His Majesty’s Secret Service
    3. The Needle’s Eye
    4. The Heart Of The Matter
    5. A New Home
    6. A Night Out
    7. A Matter Of Considerable Delicacy
    8. All The Time In The World
    9. Out Of The Ashes
    10. The Past Never Dies
    11. Uninvited
    12. Knightfall
    13. Going Old School
    14. Time To Die
    15. Man Of The Hour
    16. Wave Of The Future
    17. For England

This provides a solid overview of the game’s length, content, and structure, helping you decide if it’s worth your time.

Ultima Grip Inside the camp of knights, beyond the siege camp after defeating enemies, found on a table when a wooden box is dropped and pushed to a cloth-hanging wall. Improves the recovery timing after dodging and parrying.
Ultima Blade In the castle’s top section, after navigating through a garden and chapel, climb into a space where you see a body and a table. Slightly increases guard damage with a two-handed stance.
Location Unknown (Missing part, update pending) Effect unknown.

Each part found is added to your inventory under Longsword. You can review and swap parts at any time to suit your playstyle or the challenge you’re facing, enhancing specific combat aspects or defense.

  • Essential Parts to Upgrade First in Ride 6 for Completing and Solving

Essential Parts to Upgrade First in Ride 6 for Completing and Solving

When you’re ready to start quick races and multiplayer modes in Ride 6, choosing the right bike is essential. The game feels very realistic from the start. To succeed, you’ll need to spend your credits on upgrades that make your bike more competitive in races.

At the beginning, there are several upgrades that can help you race better and stay with the pack. These upgrades are just the basics, and as you progress, you’ll want to do more or buy new bikes. When you’re just starting out, it’s best to save your credits for these initial upgrades.

    Upgrade These Bike Parts First

Once you’re ready, head to the garage to modify your stock bike. Upgrading parts will also change your bike’s rating, showing how competitive it is.

Besides cosmetic changes, you can customize specific parts to prepare your bike for different types of races. When starting out, focus on upgrading these specific components first.

    Parts Description
Exhaust Upgrading the exhaust is the first step. It improves acceleration, top speed, handling, and braking. Aim for brands like Yoshimura or SC Project. Save at least 1,500 credits for one of these.
Tires Upgrading tires gives you the best value early on. High-quality tires boost acceleration, handling, and braking — crucial skills for winning races.
Braking System If you’re having trouble with handling, upgrading your brakes can help. Proper brakes are tough to master, but an upgrade makes it easier. The second brake kit is better if you have enough credits and find braking challenging.
Camshaft Upgrading this part increases both your acceleration and top speed, helping you catch up when other racers get ahead on straightaways.
Piston For better powertrain performance, start with the piston. Follow with connecting rods and air filters for maximum effect. Upgrading the control unit also boosts speed and acceleration. This helps you stay competitive on longer straight sections.
Carburetor/Injector If your goal is faster acceleration, upgrading the carburetor or injector is a good choice. It offers a slight increase in top speed but mainly improves your acceleration.
Rims Rims are less important but can still slightly affect acceleration, handling, and braking. Only consider upgrading rims after you’ve improved the other parts, since the performance gains are minimal.
  • Top Locations for Completing Simple Gun Parts in Arc Raiders

Top Locations for Completing Simple Gun Parts in Arc Raiders

In Arc Raiders, you’ll gather many materials to survive against aggressive robots and hostile Raiders. These include quest items, weapons, light bulbs, and almost everything else you come across, as each has a purpose and will be used at some point.

One of the most important materials is Simple Gun Parts. These are key for crafting, upgrading, and fixing many of your weapons. Because of this, you’ll use them often. It’s crucial to keep a good supply of Simple Gun Parts and know where to find more when your stock runs low.

Where to Find Simple Gun Parts

You can get Simple Gun Parts in several ways and locations. The most common method is simply looting—they’re fairly common and can be found on all five maps. Although they are marked as a Security item, Simple Gun Parts can appear at any point of interest, but your chances are higher in areas designated for this loot type.

Some prime spots to farm for Simple Gun Parts include:

    • Launch Tower at Spaceport
    • Control Tower at Dam Battlegrounds
    • Security Wing at The Blue Gate

Among these, the Security Wing at The Blue Gate is the best if you’re specifically hunting for Simple Gun Parts in the wild. This underground section spans multiple rooms over two floors. Focus your search in the breachable room on the first floor, which has lockers and containers to check, and in the second-floor rooms, where loot is usually scattered around. The Security Wing also features the Red Room, which often contains plenty of materials and gear.

The Launch Tower is a decent location too. When searching here, pay attention to the blue cabinets and red lockers, as they frequently contain useful items. There’s also a lot of electrical equipment near computers and stations, which can include loot as well.

The Control Tower may also drop Simple Gun Parts, but this depends on whether you have a key to the locked room at the top. Keep in mind, Control Tower is a PvP zone where hostiles Raiders are common, especially if you’re playing in teams of two or three.

The most reliable way to find Simple Gun Parts is by defeating enemies like Wasps, Hornets, and Turrets. These enemies often drop one or two Simple Gun Parts, so targeting them and looting their corpses is a good strategy. You can also sometimes find Simple Gun Parts in Security Breaches, but this method isn’t as consistent unless you’re familiar with all the spawn points across each map.

Alternative Methods for Obtaining Simple Gun Parts

Another way to get Simple Gun Parts is by buying them from Celeste. You can purchase up to five each day for seven seeds each, which is a smart way to quickly build your stockpile.

You can also recycle specific weapons and materials you’ve collected to get Simple Gun Parts. The items suitable for recycling include:

    • Anvil I-IV
    • Arpeggio I-IV
    • Burletta I-IV
    • Ferro III-IV
    • Hairpin III-IV
    • Il Toro I-IV
    • Kettle III
    • Rattler III-IV
    • Stitcher III-IV
    • Complex Gun Parts
    • Heavy Gun Parts
    • Light Gun Parts
    • Medium Gun Parts
    • Unusable Weapons

Recycling any of these typically yields between one and five Simple Gun Parts, depending on the item’s level and condition. It’s best to recycle weapons when their durability is low and you no longer plan to repair them. Keep in mind, recycling outside of raids yields more materials than doing so during a session.

Unfortunately, you can’t craft Simple Gun Parts directly, so your options are to find, recycle, or purchase them. By searching enemy corpses, especially those of ARC enemies, and buying from Celeste daily, you’ll steadily build a strong supply to upgrade your weapons.

  • Where To Find Tokabi and All 6 Mech Parts in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Where To Find Tokabi and All 6 Mech Parts in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been released, and now there’s a new dangerous planet for you to explore. While most of your time will be spent solving puzzles or defeating bosses, occasionally you’ll need to complete tasks in a central hub called Sol Valley.

One of the main quests here begins after you find all five Teleporter Keys. Once you have them, you’ll discover that parts of a G.F. Mech are scattered around, and it’s your job to find each piece. This quest activates right after the fight with Varmis, when you’ll be told to visit Tokabi first and then gather the six hidden Mech Parts.

Here’s where to find Tokabi, the six Mech Parts, and how to handle the mini-boss called the Behemoth at the end of this quest.

Where to Find Tokabi in Sol Valley

After defeating Varmis, MacKenzie will call to say you can’t move the Mech Part because a sand-crab swallowed it. He’ll suggest you find Tokabi, who is camping somewhere in the desert, but won’t give you a specific location.

Luckily, Tokabi isn’t far and is easy to find if you know what to look for. Leave the sandpit where you fought Varmis and head south toward the Flare Pool. As you go, watch for a column of black smoke rising from rocks—that’s where Tokabi’s camp is. Once there, get off Vi-o-la and talk to Tokabi to start a cutscene, which ends with him giving you a Teleporter Chip.

Return to MacKenzie afterward and speak with him to get six Teleporter Pods. These let you move the Mech Parts back to MacKenzie in Valley Green.

Note: Tokabi appears three more times in Sol Valley. Visiting him is optional, but it will give you a Missile, a Shot, and a Power Bomb expansion. To see these, you’ll need to leave Sol Valley entirely between visits to reset his location.

Tokabi Alternate Location 1 – Missile Expansion

After delivering the Teleporter Chip, go south along the wall to the Volt Forge. You’ll see another black smoke column from rocks near this area. Approach Tokabi there to trigger a cutscene and receive a Missile Expansion.

Tokabi Alternate Location 2 – Shot Expansion

Once again, after returning the Teleporter Chip, head near the Volt Forge and approach the black smoke. Tokabi will move north near the Great Mines. Approach the debris nearby in G.F. Debris among the rubble to trigger another cutscene and earn a Shot Expansion.

Tokabi Alternate Location 3 – Power Bomb Expansion

The final Tokabi spot is just north of Fury Green. Make sure to leave Sol Valley and re-enter another area to reset his position. When you get close to Tokabi here, a cutscene will play, granting you the Power Bomb Expansion.

Where to Find All 6 Mech Parts

    1. Mech Part 1

Located southeast of the Fury Green entrance in a ruined facility with a crash truck. Defeat enemies nearby, then use the Psychic Lasso to pull the truck free from the wall. Interact with the remains to place the first Teleporter Pod.

    2. Mech Part 2

Found at the northern edge of the Ice Belt. Jump on psychic platforms on the right, go inside, and walk past a large elevator. Use Psychic Grapple to ascend stairs, then back outside by a ledge—here you’ll find this mech part.

    3. Mech Part 3

Located northeast of the Rings of Stone Shrine. Nearby debris features a big hole, Shren nests, and a mech arm. Use the Thunder Shot to electrify the arm and cause it to fall, then interact with it to retrieve the Mech Part.

    4. Mech Part 4

In the G.F. Debris south of Chrono Tower, climb onto crates forming a staircase. On the roof, you’ll find this piece sitting there. Use a super missile on the boulders blocking your way, then go inside the nearby door, switch to Morph Ball, bomb rocks, and proceed through the lava-filled course to find this part.

    5. Mech Part 5

Easiest to find near where you defeated Varmis. Approach the crate there to warp this piece away.

    6. Mech Part 6

At the Lava Lake Bridge area, inside the Flare Pool. Cross the hill, then go back toward the entrance. Destroy the large rocks blocking your way with a Super Missile, then enter and roll through the Morph Ball tunnel while avoiding lava. Use grapple points at the end to disable the lava via a Boost Ball hologram, then proceed to the top of the rocks to scan the Mech Part.

Final Mech Part in the Flare Pool

This last piece is located in the Flare Pool, not Sol Valley. Head to the Lava Lake Bridge room, go down the hill on either side, then return. Fire a Super Missile at the boulders blocking the entrance to gain access, then bomb the rocks in Morph Ball mode to reveal a hole. Roll through the course, avoiding lava, and reach the ridge above your scan point.

Once you see the Mech Part, destroy the surrounding enemies, then switch to Ice Shot. When the Behemoth mini-boss appears, it will launch fireballs from its mouth. Freeze its mouth with Ice Shot, then shoot the glowing eyes around its mouths. Repeat this to destroy all four eyes.

After two eyes are destroyed, the Behemoth becomes more aggressive, charging with flaming shockwaves—look for it turning around and raising its backside before attacking. Focus on freezing its mouths when possible to avoid damage from the fireballs and keep shooting the eyes until all are down.

Destroying all four eyes triggers a cutscene where the Behemoth collapses and knocks down the final Mech Part. Afterward, head back to Fury Green to continue the story.

  • Top Locations for Completing Complex Gun Parts in Arc Raiders

Top Locations for Completing Complex Gun Parts in Arc Raiders

In Arc Raiders, you’ll spend a lot of time gathering materials, battling other players, and fighting off ARC enemies roaming the map. While exploring, you’ll find all kinds of loot, and some rare items are worth saving for later use.

One such item is Complex Gun Parts. These are used to craft and upgrade legendary weapons like the Jupiter, Equalizer, and Aphelion. Here’s everything you need to know about finding, crafting, buying, and recycling these parts.

Where to Find Complex Gun Parts
If you’re hunting for Complex Gun Parts typically, there are several key locations. Since this item is classified as Security material, it can spawn in any place marked with a double chevron icon. The best spots to look include:

    • Launch Tower in Spaceport
    • Lobby in Stella Montis
    • Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds
    • Security Lockers (any map)

The Lobby in Stella Montis and Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds are especially good, as Stella Montis offers some of the best loot drops in the game, thanks to numerous containers and higher-tier materials. When searching in the Lobby, focus on the breachable side rooms labeled “Security” along the walls.

Pro tip: Farming for Complex Gun Parts during a Night Raid or an Electromagnetic Storm increases your chances of finding them.

If you prefer a more relaxed approach, the Launch Tower in Spaceport is worth checking out. While I have found many Epic items there, it’s not a reliable spot for Complex Gun Parts. Still, it’s worth visiting for the loot-filled towers, especially if you’re passing through.

Finally, my favorite method is looting Security Lockers. These large metal chests, accessible after upgrading your Security skill, often contain Complex Gun Parts. I recommend hitting all the towers and small bunkers around Spaceport’s perimeter, as nearly every one contains a Security Locker.

How to Craft and Buy Complex Gun Parts
You can buy Complex Gun Parts from Celeste. She sells one per day for 60 Seeds, which isn’t cheap but can boost your stock if you have plenty of Seeds.

You can also craft them if you find the corresponding Blueprint. To do this, use the level 3 Refiner, which will cost you 2 Light Gun Parts, 2 Medium Gun Parts, and 2 Heavy Gun Parts to make one Complex Gun Part. This method can be expensive if you don’t have many materials saved up.

Getting the Blueprint isn’t guaranteed, but farming in lockers, breachable metal containers, and locked rooms during Night Raids greatly improves your chances. The Blueprint’s drop rate gets a buff during Electromagnetic Storms and Night Raids, so playing during these events is the best way to hunt for it.

What Recycles into Complex Gun Parts
The last way to get Complex Gun Parts is by recycling certain gear items when out of a raid. Recycling these items will yield one Complex Gun Part each:

    • Aphelion
    • Equalizer
    • Jupiter

However, this method is not highly recommended. Since these are some of the rarest weapons in the game, only consider recycling them if the weapon is broken and you can’t repair it. Even then, it might be better to keep the weapon instead of breaking it down for materials.

  • Where to Find Apollo’s Espresso Machine Parts for Solving in Arc Raiders

Where to Find Apollo’s Espresso Machine Parts for Solving in Arc Raiders

Many people enjoy drinking coffee because it boosts energy and has a pleasant taste. In a world like Arc Raiders, which is post-apocalyptic, coffee has become a rare luxury. Coffee beans are hard to find since they often need special underground farms, and coffee machines are uncommon too.

When survival is the main priority, items like coffee are not usually a top concern. However, a warm cup of coffee can lift spirits and improve morale. Someone has found a semi-functioning coffee machine, and Apollo can fix it, but he will need some special parts to get it working.

Where to Find the Espresso Parts

Espresso is part of one of Apollo’s quests. You unlock this quest after finishing the earlier quest from Celeste called Bees. To do this, you need to go to the Buried City and complete the quest all in one go, or you’ll have to restart.

The espresso parts required for this quest are different from the Coffee Pot Trinket, which you can possibly find in loot containers throughout the game.

To find the parts, head to the street between Corso da Vinci and the Santa Maria Houses, just below the broken highway. Look for the café on the corner near an alleyway.

Enter the café, go behind the counter in the ground-floor room, and interact with the machine at the corner of the counter, near the broken air conditioner on the wall.

The espresso machine parts will drop from the machine once you interact with it, and your quest objective will update. Collect the parts and deliver them to Speranza when you’re ready. Then, speak with Apollo at his shop to finish the quest.

Pro Tip: Store any quest items or trinkets in your Safe Pocket to prevent losing them if you get killed, which could reset your progress or force you to collect the items again.

After collecting the parts, return to Speranza. The quest completes once you hand over the espresso machine parts. As a reward, you’ll receive a Coffee Pot Trinket and three Adrenaline Shots. These shots are very helpful as they fully restore your stamina and boost stamina regeneration temporarily.

  • Where to Find EMP Parts in Borderlands 4 While Completing the Game

Where to Find EMP Parts in Borderlands 4 While Completing the Game

The Mole’s Gambit is the last mission in the Electi faction storyline in Borderlands 4. It’s pretty simple, but some parts might confuse you during your first playthrough. After traveling all across Carcadia Burn to find a traitor within Electi, it’s now your job to stop them before they return with reinforcements.

This guide will walk you through the entire mission. It starts in Carcadia Burn, and once finished, you’ll move on to a new area for more adventures.

    How to Destroy the Relays

When you return to Carcadia City after your mission with Levaine, meet her in the Leaders Chamber to begin the last part of the story. She’ll send you to destroy the relays you set up earlier for Willem. Turns out, those relays are decoys designed to disable the city’s defenses.

Sometimes, Levaine may stand to the left of where she should be, making the objective marker disappear. If this happens and you can’t talk to her, just restart the game. She should be back in the right spot afterward.

You don’t need to remember exactly where all five relays are, because you can find them easily by sticking to the walls of the search zone. Exit the Leaders’ Chamber and stay along the right side when you reach the area. As you go along the walls, you’ll spot the first three relays. Then, cross the street and go back the way you came to find the other two. Each relay is marked with an objective indicator when you get within about 30 meters.

    Relays Locations

    • Up the stairs in the alley past the open plaza on the right from where you enter the search zone.
    • On the second floor of the storage awning in the next section.
    • At the end of the road, near a broken chain-link fence around the corner.
    • Heading back toward the Leaders’ Chamber, near a burning barrel and some concrete bags, just before jumping to the area above.
    • At the building with red triangles, past a barbed wire fence, and up the stairs.

Important: The relays can only be destroyed with melee attacks. They are immune to all other damage types.

    Getting the EMP Parts

Your next stop is the Marrow Narrows Ripper Camp just north of Carcadia. Here, you’ll gather parts to build Yorick’s makeshift EMP device. Return to the Leaders’ Chamber and exit through the back door near the vending machines. Use the ramp in the corner to glide down to the coastal flats below. From there, drive west to the camp, but approach from the far side since that’s the entrance.

Clearing out the Rippers isn’t mandatory for collecting parts, but it makes things easier. Extra Rippers will spawn each time you grab a part, so dealing with them helps prevent getting overwhelmed.

    EMP Parts Locations

The camp is roughly circular, with cranes and containers around the edges:

    • The detonator is on a platform in the southwest corner. Beware, a Ripper will pop out next to it when you pick it up.
    • The antenna is on a red crane in the northwest corner, accessible by jumping across hanging containers.
    • The casing is on the ground in the northeast corner. It stands out because it glows green, not teal, which means you might mistake it for trash or environmental debris.

    Finding Leader Willem

Once you have the parts, your next move is to find where Willem is assembling his synthetic army. To do this, intercept an Order convoy heading southeast. The easiest way is to fast travel to the Rustical Hurl silo (if you’ve claimed it), then use the zipline or drive up the hill and follow the road northeast. The convoy will appear shortly.

Eliminate all enemy waves and hack the console on the trailer bed to discover Willem’s location. Then, head east and south to The Excrucible, a heavily guarded area with Order troops, including Bulkheads and a Menacer hover-tank. Make sure your fire answers both shields and armor.

Note: The Menacer usually has an Invulnerability Orb that must be destroyed first before it can be damaged.

Grapple up to the upper level through the broken platform on the east side. Fight your way to the main entrance and follow the path to the synth storage unit. Assemble the EMP device inside by placing the three parts in order; this will start charging it.

    Using the EMP Device

Once assembled, you need to survive for 90 seconds against an endless wave of synths. They keep spawning as you defeat them, so you can fight aggressively for extra XP and loot or play it safe to ensure success. When the timer finishes, all remaining synths are destroyed automatically, and your path to Willem is clear. Head into the next room to stock up at the vending machines, then drop into the boss room to face Willem.

    How to Defeat Leader Willem

Willem alternates between jumping onto the deck above to snipe and returning to the ground to attack with mid-range elemental weapons. He isn’t particularly dangerous unless swarmed by his synth minions. Stay near the room’s entrance side and keep firing at him. Kill synths when they get too close or if you need to fight for survival. Using Shock damage quickly disables his Shield, while Corrosion or Cryo weapons break through his Armor.

Pro Tips: Torgue Sticky Rounds are effective—load him up and detonate them all at once for significant damage.

After defeating Willem, collect his loot. The door behind him leads back to the facility entrance. From there, you can choose to restart the fight with Moxxi’s Big Encore or return to Carcadia City to finish the mission. You won’t need to go back immediately; just talk to Levaine in the Leaders’ Chamber to hand in your mission and claim your rewards. You can either take the longer route, doing other missions and collecting items along the way, or fast travel straight back for your XP and gear haul.

A woman sits at the terrace of a closed ice-cream shop following a major electricity outage, during the 78th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France May 24, 2025 — Reuters

French authorities are probing a suspected arson incident believed to be the primary reason behind a significant power outage that affected the Alpes-Maritimes region in southern France, including Cannes, which is currently hosting its iconic annual film festival.

A spokesperson from the French national gendarmerie mentioned, “We are examining the possibility that a fire was intentionally set,” and noted that no arrests have been made thus far.

Earlier on Saturday, local officials reported that the western part of the Alpes-Maritimes region, which encompasses Cannes, was experiencing a major electricity outage while RTE France was actively working to restore power.

Despite the outage, the Cannes Film Festival confirmed that the closing ceremony would proceed as planned on Saturday evening.

“The Palais des Festivals has activated an independent power supply, ensuring that all scheduled events and screenings, including the Closing Ceremony, will continue as originally scheduled under normal conditions,” the festival stated in a release.

  • Unlocking Superior Cradlecoffin Parts in Synduality: Echo of Ada

Unlocking Superior Cradlecoffin Parts in Synduality: Echo of Ada

Synduality: Echo Of Ada places you in control of a Cradlecoffin, a special machine designed to navigate the harsh surface of Earth after a catastrophic rainfall event has devastated humanity. In this versatile mech, your mission is to collect AO crystals to fund your operations, gather materials, and, if the mood strikes, challenge other players.

The Cradlecoffin serves as your primary tool, and it’s vital to keep it in top shape. While it may not offer the extensive customization options typical of mech games, every choice you make holds significant weight since a mishap could lead to major setbacks. Here’s what you need to know about customizing your Cradlecoffin.

    What Are Cradlecoffins?

The term “Cradlecoffin” might sound grim, but these machines allow humanity to venture outdoors without putting themselves at risk. Interestingly, there are no humans inside a Cradlecoffin; instead, it’s operated by your Magus, an AI companion that helps you during missions. The name comes from the compartment in the back of the mech where the Magus controls it.

This “coffin,” as referred to in-game, is also the vulnerable part of the Cradlecoffin, taking significant damage when targeted.

While Cradlecoffins are marketed as all-weather vehicles, they have notable weaknesses. They are particularly vulnerable to rain, which can greatly diminish their resistance and overall durability. Submersion in water is also a critical flaw, leading to immediate destruction. These machines are specifically designed for surface exploration.

Cradlecoffins operate with a battery, thus they cannot be deployed indefinitely. Although spare batteries exist, they are extremely rare outside of certain single-player missions and cannot be kept. While Cradlecoffins are formidable, they require careful management; they are not invulnerable and can be easily lost.

What Parts of the Cradlecoffin Can Be Customized?

In a mech game, you might expect a wide range of customization options, but that’s not quite the case here. There are six customizable components of the Cradlecoffin, with only three being physical parts. They are:

    • Body – Determines most of your durability and weather resistance, along with cargo weight and battery life.
    • Arms – Provide additional durability, influence reload times, and affect other skills.
    • Legs – Enhance durability and influence movement capabilities, including quickstep distance.
    • Weapon Slot 1 and 2 – These two slots allow you to equip any weapons you choose.
    • Excavator – Used for mining AO crystals, with better variants yielding higher-purity crystals.

The arms also dictate the type of weapons you can wield, either energy or live ammunition, or both. Unfortunately, there are no options to change colors, name your mech, or customize weapons, which limits personalization. Losing your mech results in the loss of all your equipment, making it less appealing to see someone else using your customized parts!

You can access customization through the sortie menu, allowing you to modify your loadout and view all your stats more comprehensively.

There are two slots in your garage to build your Cradlecoffin, but you can’t use the same parts at the same time unless you have duplicates.

How to Increase Your Cradlecoffin Stats

Once you access the Cradle Customization menu, you’ll see a 3D representation of your mech accompanied by charts and bars showing various stats. While the output will be considerably high (often maxing out around 10,000), other stats will be relatively lower. To increase these stats, you need to acquire new Cradlecoffin parts.

Each component of the Cradlecoffin comes with set stats. While durability may decrease over time, the stats cannot be improved beyond their initial values. Therefore, the only way to enhance your stats is to obtain new parts, which involves some effort.

There are five primary methods to acquire new Cradlecoffin parts:

    • Purchasing them in the Item Shop after completing relevant requests, usually at a capped green rarity.
    • Crafting them after unlocking crafting recipes through requests, though you won’t be informed until after completion.
    • Receiving them as rewards for completing requests.
    • Obtaining them from the Drifter Pass, Synduality’s battle pass.
    • Looting them from defeated players.

Importantly, you can’t find parts randomly; the best pieces will typically be awarded to you. However, if you lose these valuable parts, they are gone for good, and you may have to rely on lesser components from the Item Shop. Some parts can be crafted, but these options are often costly, require rare materials, and take real-time to complete. Losing crucial parts may force you to start over unless you have stockpiled some backups.

Newer parts generally serve as upgrades to previous ones, making the loss more painful. If you’re concerned about losing a part, consider insuring it. While this won’t return the item, it will refund much of its monetary value.

Keep in mind that certain rare parts, like those from the Daisyogre, are expensive to insure, so refrain from using them until you can afford the insurance.
