Who At The Main Outpost Should You Give The Ozen To in Tides of Tomorrow?

A few hours into Tides of Tomorrow, you arrive at the Main Outpost. There, you meet Kass and learn how complicated the Ozen shortage problem really is. The area is crowded with people who are desperate for Ozen, but there isn’t enough to satisfy everyone’s needs.

Deciding who gets Ozen and who doesn’t isn’t easy. Unfortunately, during this part of the game, it’s part of your job to make these tough choices. Most of the quest focuses on who you give Ozen to, and each choice has different outcomes. Here are all the options and what happens with each.

    Talk With Kass And Obin
When you reach the area, a Marauder Guard will mention what the last Tidewalker did but will let you in regardless of their behavior. You need to pass him and head over to Kass and Obin, who are arguing under the big “Ozen” sign. Listen to their conversation and contribute where you can. Afterwards, Obin will leave, and Kass will fill you in on the situation. During these dialogue moments, it doesn’t matter much what you say; just agree to help.

Who Should You Give The Ozen To?
Kass takes your Ozen for safekeeping and hands you another bottle to distribute at the Outpost. This is the first of three bottles she provides. You can choose who to give each one to. Your options include:

    • Marauder Guard
Standing next to Kass, this guard without a helmet, with plastic on his face, is one option. Giving him Ozen might upset some Reclaimers.

    • Algae Farm Boss
Near the closed Ozen shop where Kass and Obin stood, the Marauder woman in charge of the algae farm can receive Ozen. She might keep it for herself, and Reclaimers generally dislike giving her Ozen, as she’s Marauder.

    • Algae Worker
Inside the algae farm, you can find a worker near the water. If he’s already had some Ozen, he might lie about it, but most Reclaimers approve of handing him the bottle.

    • Beggar
When you reach the central area, a beggar will approach asking for Ozen for his sick daughter. If you’ve previously given him a bottle, he might claim he has two sick daughters—possibly lying. Still, as a Reclaimer, he might appreciate receiving more Ozen.

    • Chess Players
On the second level, two siblings playing chess only accept Ozen if you bring two bottles—one for each. Since Kass only gives one at a time, you’ll need to get another bottle, perhaps from the kitchen upstairs, to satisfy them. People tend to be okay with giving Ozen to Reclaimers like these.

    • Dealer
On the second floor, above the Ozen shop, a Dealer sells Ozen or might accept some for free. Since she charges high prices, Reclaimers usually prefer to keep Ozen away from her.

    • Manford
To find Manford, first talk to Zabby, who works in the kitchen upstairs. She’ll tell you about her friend. You then check on him by using the key she provides. Giving him Ozen will please the Reclaimers, especially if you bring him some.

    • Jenkins
Near Kass, stairs lead up to Jenkins, who sits on the floor upset because his Ozen was taken. Giving him more Ozen can help. However, with each Tidewalker, he might appear to be mugged again, yet he’s still a Reclaimer, so sharing Ozen is popular.

    • Yourself
You can also choose to keep the Ozen and consume it yourself. Keep in mind, though, that this decision might upset some Reclaimers and affect your relationships with them.

Note: Some options might not be available if the last Tidewalker already handed out Ozen to those characters.

If you give at least two bottles of Ozen to Reclaimers they favor, you will earn their trust, making them more sympathetic toward Tidewalkers later on.

    Debrief With Kass
Once all the bottles are given, you return to Kass. The way to reach her is blocked by a crowd, but there’s a zipline outside the kitchen on the third floor that takes you directly to her. During the final part of the level, you have a private conversation where she returns your Ozen and gives you an extra bottle. After this exchange, the level concludes.

Later, Kass may confront the angry crowd, reaching for her gun. You can choose to intervene or not. Stopping her boosts your reputation with pro-Mankind factions, whereas doing nothing will just make her shoot into the air, with little impact.

Finally, you speak with Kass again and finish by receiving your original Ozen and a new bottle. With all that done, the level ends.

  • How to Complete Eyla’s Apartment in Main Outpost in Tides of Tomorrow

How to Complete Eyla’s Apartment in Main Outpost in Tides of Tomorrow

In Act Three of Tides of Tomorrow, you revisit several locations, including the Main Outpost. The first time you came here, your task was to distribute Ozen to the residents.

This time, your goal is to find Mereid Eggs that could help create a cure for Plastemia. Your role is even more critical now. To do this, you need to reach Eyla’s apartment, use her submarine, and locate a Mereid nest. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through that.

    Go To The Elevator

When you arrive at the Main Outpost, take a moment to look around. There’s scrap to pick up and interactions to discover that you miss at the end of the level. When you’re ready to move on, head toward the elevator—it’s on the far left wall from the entrance.

At the elevator, you’ll see either an empty elevator or one that Kass is working on fixing.

    Use The Elevator

What you do next depends on the scenario you’re in.

Scenario 1: Kass is fixing the elevator

In this case, it’s simpler. Before entering, climb the ladder to the left of the elevator and go through the grate. This leads to a small area with another ladder. Climb up, pull the lever to clear the steam, then go through the grate to find a box containing some Ozen. After gathering this, climb out of the elevator and pull the switch to ascend.

Scenario 2: Kass is not fixing the elevator

If Kass isn’t fixing it, take the ladder to the left of the elevator shaft. Climb through the grate at the top to reach a small area, then use the lever to clear the steam. Proceed through the grate to find a pile of boxes. Use these to create a makeshift staircase by stacking one box next to the container, another on top, and the last beside them. Climb the boxes and then enter the elevator. Pull the switch to go up to the next level.

    Reach Eyla’s Apartment

Once you arrive at the apartment hallway, walk through the space until you see an old apartment door. The next steps depend on the scenario: Kass may be knocking on the door, or no one is there. Regardless, you’ll need to find a way inside.

Vault over the small wall in front of the door—there’s a small area you can jump into. After vaulting, go through the grate to sneak into Eyla’s apartment. Depending on the story progression, Eyla may be there, or she might not be. If she’s present, talk to her; if not, let Kass in and use your visions to see what happened to her. You can give Eyla some Ozen if you like.

    Enter The Submarine

From Eyla’s apartment, if she’s with you, simply exit through the back door with her to reach her submarine. Enter it, and you’ll set off across the water.

If Kass is in charge, go outside the back door, use your visions to determine Eyla’s location, then follow Kass to another elevator. Ride it down; at the bottom, you’ll find Eyla and her submarine. After a brief chat, you can board the submarine.

    Reach The Mereids’ Nest

In either case, the next step is underwater exploration. Dive in the submarine to search for a Mereid nest. Follow a Mereid or use your visions to track the last Tidewalker and find the nest.

Once you locate the nest, you may find a cluster of eggs or none at all. If eggs are present, you can suck them up. Doing this grants you Troublemaker points and influences the ecosystem for players in future games. If no eggs are there, Eyla will offer some for you to leave behind, or you can choose to abandon them.

    Return to Dry Land

Whether you’ve collected eggs or left them, head back to dry land. Once ashore, you’ll have a conversation with Eyla before you are free to leave and complete the level.

  • Where to Find New Outposts for Tian Wen Tagging in Arc Raiders

Where to Find New Outposts for Tian Wen Tagging in Arc Raiders

As you explore above ground in Arc Raiders, you’ll come across different machines that have taken control. These Arc units are actively attacking the raiders at the site, making it difficult to gather resources even on good days. However, the team in Speranza believes it’s time to try going topside again—to rebuild outposts and establish new ones.

With our guide, you can find each of the locations that Tain Wen asks you to mark. Doing so will help the team build new outposts over time, which benefits everyone in the fight against the machines.

    ### Where to Mark Outpost Buildings for Tain Wen

When you start this quest, Tain Wen asks you to go to four different regions above ground to mark spots for new outposts. You will need to visit the Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and Blue Gate. At each location, you’ll need to spray paint a clear mark on specific structures to help the construction crews.

Since the maps are large, it’s easy to get turned around. Here are all the spots you need to find to complete this task:

    #### Dam Battlegrounds Marker Location
At Dam Battlegrounds, go to the northern part of the map. Head to the Pattern House, which is located up a hill behind the electrical field and the northern elevator. Once there, look to the right of the front door and tag the wall with your spray. This marking will let the Speranza team know where to set up an outpost later.

    #### Buried City Marker Location
In the Buried City, look for the sunken homes buried in the sand. These are in the southeastern corner of the map. Find a garage door needing fresh paint, then spray a mark on the wall. After marking it, head to the closest extraction point to leave safely.

    #### Spaceport Marker Location
At the Spaceport, reach the Southern Trench Tower, located far to the north. If it’s hard to get there, you can deploy a zipline to cross the gap or take the stairs hidden below. Once you arrive, tag the southern tower near the eastern staircase, then head to the extraction point.

    #### The Blue Gate Marker Location
In Blue Gate, go to the tower between the Checkpoint and Warehouse Complex. There is a makeshift tower with three points you could mark, but you only need to spray paint one of them. Finish by heading back to the exit point.

After marking all four sites for Tain Wen, return to complete the quest. Your rewards include a rare firearm, medium-sized ammo, and a rare weapon mod—perfect for upgrading your gear.

  • Where To Find The Raider Flag in Formicai Outpost in Arc Raiders

Where To Find The Raider Flag in Formicai Outpost in Arc Raiders

When you start playing Arc Raiders, the game can feel overwhelming because of all the buildings and loot spots on each map. At first, it’s hard to tell different parts of the map apart, but completing quests makes this so much easier.

This is because some quests, like A Symbol Of Unification, lead you to different areas of the map while also sharing the story behind them. These quests are also useful for finding hidden weapon crates, which often contain good blueprints, and you won’t have to fight many other players for them.

    —

    ### How to Reach Formicai Outpost

When you accept the A Symbol Of Unification quest, it will direct you to the Formicai Outpost in Dam Battlegrounds. You can find this area in the southern part of the Formicai Hills on the map when you zoom in fully. To get there, you’ll need to climb a steep hill, but from the top, the outpost is clearly visible.

As you approach, there are several paths leading up to the outpost, but the area is quite dense. It’s important to stay alert for other raiders. Luckily, it’s not a heavily fought-over area, so most players you encounter will be open to teaming up.

    —

    ### How to Find and Hoist the Flag

Once you reach the top of the hill, enter the Formicai Outpost through a narrow, dark hallway. Inside, there’s a bed on the right side, with a bag placed on top of it. This bag has a yellow interaction icon, and you can take the flag by interacting with it.

After you have the flag, proceed to the circular open area of the outpost. Exit through the doorway in front of the hallway you just entered. Outside, you’ll see a pole to your left with an interaction symbol. Use it to hoist the flag and complete this part of the quest. Afterward, return to Speranza to earn the Aviator outfit and other rewards.

  • 90+ Military Outposts Built in the Disputed South China Sea

90+ Military Outposts Built in the Disputed South China Sea

Building Frenzy in the South China Sea

The South China Sea has become a focal point in international relations, particularly due to the persistent military build-up by various nations in the region. Satellite imagery reveals that over 90 military outposts have been established across approximately 70 locations within these disputed waters. Nations are transforming semi-submerged reefs and uninhabitable rocks into fortified islands, seeking to assert control over this strategically significant area.

Importance of the South China Sea

    Resource Richness

The South China Sea is not just a collection of waters; it is replete with valuable resources including vast oil reserves and abundant fishing grounds. Nations surrounding the sea aim to stake claims over islands to secure rights to exploit these lucrative resources.

    Key Shipping Lanes

This region is also crisscrossed by pivotal shipping lanes, making its control synonymous with regional and global power. The significance of these waterways in international trade and commerce has led to heightened tensions and competition among the neighboring states.

    Historical Context of Conflicts

The territorial disputes in the South China Sea have a long and complicated history, often reflecting broader geopolitical tensions. Although recent disputes spotlight the relationship between China and Taiwan, the conflicts extend well beyond this binary.

    China-Taiwan Relations

China views the South China Sea as part of its broader strategy regarding Taiwan—a territory it considers a breakaway province. Some analysts suggest that any potential military action aimed at Taiwan might be preceded or accompanied by aggression in the South China Sea.

    The Landscape of Claims

    China’s Extensive Claims

China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea are sweeping and often overlap with the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) of its neighbors. Despite the historical ambiguities of these claims, delineated on British naval maps, they are asserted with considerable vigor.

    • Second Thomas Shoal: Controlled by the Philippines but claimed by China.
    • Scarborough Shoal: De facto controlled by China, despite its lack of physical structures there.

    Vietnam’s Stake

Vietnam has established a substantial presence in the Spratly Islands, laying claim to 21 features—more than any other nation in the region. The historical context of these claims complicates the narrative, as both China and Vietnam have engaged in a long-standing feud regarding their respective entitlements to these territories.

    Philippines’ Legal Victories

The Philippines won a significant international legal victory in 2016 regarding its claims in the Spratlys, but the practical application of this ruling remains limited, highlighting the difficulties of enforcing international law in the face of regional power dynamics.

    The Role of Other Nations

    Malaysia and Brunei’s Involvement

In addition to China, Vietnam, and the Philippines, Malaysia claims five geographically proximate features in the Spratly group, while Brunei extends its claims without extensive military buildup. This proliferation of claims adds further complexity to the situation.

    Vietnam and Military Confrontations

The conflict has seen Vietnam challenging Chinese actions vigorously, especially concerning oil exploration. China’s attempts to assert its control have frequently led to confrontations, as seen during the well-publicized standoff over oil drilling operations in the Paracel Islands.

    Conclusion of Territorial Disputes

The South China Sea stands as a stark example of how historical grievances, resource competition, and geopolitical aspirations collide in a highly contested space. With numerous nations involved and ambitions at stake, the region remains a potential flashpoint for future conflicts, shaping its geopolitical landscape in the process.
