How To Open the Axum Observatory Door in Subnautica 2 by Completing and Solving

Opening the Axum Door in the Subnautica 2 Observatory is the biggest step you’ll take to complete the current early access content. It’s not a simple task and will require a lot of effort and resources.

The first step is to turn on the Karakorum Power Plant. Before doing that, you need to find and clean the Angel Comb at the plant’s center, then repair the turbine.

Cleanse the Power Plant Angel Comb

The Angel Comb is located about 1,760 meters east-northeast (75 degrees) of the lifepod and 425 meters deep. To cleanse it, you must remove the Canker Blooms infecting it, similar to previous Angel Comb encounters.

These Blooms will close up as you approach, so you’ll need to upgrade your Sonic Resonator to a Feedback Resonator at the Modification Station. This upgrade allows you to shoot from afar, preventing the Blooms from closing. Near the Angel Comb, there are two Canker Blooms, but you should wait until you clear the three Bloom Nodes before destroying the blooms closest to the comb.

There are three Bloom Nodes to cleanse, each infected with two Canker Blooms. When a Node is cleansed, it opens, signaling you can move to the next one. The nodes are located at:

    • Under the Observatory Tower: 1,175 meters east of the lifepod, in a cave beneath the main tower. Two Blooms here.
    • Near the Base of Power Plant’s South-southwest Arm: 1,516 meters east-southeast (100 degrees), 305 meters deep, near a research table. Watch out for marine life here, including the Leviathan periodically passing through. You need upgrades for your Tadpole to reach this point.
    • Northeast of Angel Comb: 2,150 meters east of the lifepod, at 320 meters deep in a wreck site. Follow the Titan Rockbore roots northeast from the Angel Comb, and swim up into a cliffside cave.
    • Cicada Wreck Site: Located at 2,150 meters east of the lifepod and 320 meters deep. Swim through the wreck inside a cliff to find this node and Blooms.

You can follow the purple Titan Rockbore roots to locate these nodes. Once all three are cleaned, remove the two Canker Blooms near the Angel Comb.

Repair the Karakorum Power Plant Turbine

After cleansing the Angel Comb and interacting with it, look along the southeastern cliff wall about 400 meters deep to find the turbine control center. Enter through the hole on the left and interact with the panels to activate the Heat Pipe. When the Heat Pipe starts moving, exit the control center and swim up to another station at 200 meters depth.

At this second control center, you’ll see three terminals. Scan each terminal with your PDA, then return to the back left. Interact with every dial and lever until they turn green, then press the central button to turn the system green. Do the same for the right terminal afterward.

Before pressing the main button on the right, scan the Turbine itself, located about five meters in front of you. Once scanned, you’ll learn what materials are needed for repairs. The required items are:

    • 10 Titanium Ingots
    • 10 Strontium
    • 10 Mangalloy Ingots

All these items can be crafted at your base using a Processor. You’ll need to gather:

    • 60 Titanium
    • 10 Atacamite
    • 10 Troilite
    • 20 Celestine

Once crafted, return to the Turbine to repair it. Use the materials to fix all parts of the Turbine at the processor.

Restore Power to the Power Plant

After fixing the Turbine, return to the upper control room to turn on all terminals. The power plant will start powering up, and you’ll receive a notification from your PDA indicating that power has been restored.

    Open the Axum Observatory Door

Now that the power is on, go back to the main Observatory Tower and approach the Axum Door. Interact with it, and it will open. Inside, scan the Orrery to gather information.

After scanning, your PDA will send some data to NoA. Before leaving, swim up through one of the three central holes in the room; you’ll find yourself in a second chamber with another interactable plant. Interact with it to reveal additional information and a tease of upcoming content. At this point, you’ll be informed that the Early Access phase is complete, for now.

  • How to Find and Opening Hernand Castle Chest in Crimson Desert: Completing and Solving

How to Find and Opening Hernand Castle Chest in Crimson Desert: Completing and Solving

After starting your journey in Crimson Desert and exploring the map, you’ll notice many icons appearing on your minimap, especially in the main cities. These icons point you to various traders selling gear, but many also mark locations for free loot.

One good example is the strongbox chests. Sometimes, you’ll see a large chest icon near certain buildings. When you arrive, like at Hernand Castle, you’ll need to complete a small puzzle to unlock the reward inside.

How to Find the Hernand Castle Strongbox

If you haven’t found the strongbox yet, start by teleporting to the Abyss Nexus in the city. Before heading toward the strongbox, make sure you have a mask and at least one key. After spawning at the teleport point, follow the path heading up to the castle on your left.

Keep following this route until you enter the castle. Inside, take the right entrance into the hallway. Once inside, take the first right to find some stairs. Climb these stairs and continue upward until you reach a secluded room at the top. Use a key to open this room and access the strongbox.

How to Solve the Hernand Castle Strongbox Puzzle

When you approach this strongbox, you’ll see musical keys you can press for interaction. To unlock it, you need to press these keys in a specific order to play a tune. You can listen to the correct melody by interacting with the playback device located on the right side of the strongbox.

As you rotate the device, the tune plays repeatedly, allowing you to study it. If you’d prefer, you can just press the keys in this sequence to solve the puzzle immediately:

    • Row one, key one
    • Row two, key four
    • Row two, key three
    • Row two, key four
    • Row one, key three
    • Row two, key one
    • Row one, key three

Once you’ve successfully completed the puzzle, you can loot the box if you have a mask. Inside, you’ll find a Lavish Meal recipe. Wait for the theft meter to decrease, then exit the castle.

    Additional Tips

There are many other items in the small cabinets within this room, so it’s a good idea to gather everything you can.

  • Smart Home Was Open but Turned Into a Toll Booth

Smart Home Was Open but Turned Into a Toll Booth

I was raised with the belief that purchasing a product meant acquiring the actual item. A laptop came equipped with specific features. A car came with its hardware. Printers were still a hassle, but at least they posed a one-time challenge.

I began to notice a change when my subscriptions shifted from primarily media services to attachments on physical devices. It was one thing to pay monthly for movies, music, or cloud storage, but it was another to see that same approach extend into gadgets, vehicles, fitness equipment, and smart home devices that already carried a price tag.

Then I heard about stories like the smart bed that lost functionalities during an AWS outage. That moment made the entire model feel less modern and more bizarre. Increasingly, products now come with an asterisk: pay once for the hardware, then shell out again for features, remote access, cloud backups, AI functionalities, or premium controls that supposedly complete the experience.

Once the screen becomes central to almost everything, it ceases to be a neutral surface. Reports from Parks Associates reveal that over 61% of U.S. internet households primarily use their smart TV for streaming. Roku announced in early 2025 that it served over 90 million streaming households, nearly half of all broadband homes in the U.S., while Google claimed that Google TV and Android TV reached 270 million monthly active devices late last year.

The battle isn’t just over the hardware sitting on the shelf; it’s over the software layer that determines what we see first, what gets recommended, and which services are integrated seamlessly. This is also where ongoing revenue streams are generated. Hardware might be sold outright once, but access, visibility, and premium features can generate continual income.

In March, European broadcasters explicitly urged regulators to consider smart TV platforms and virtual assistants from firms like Google, Amazon, Apple, and Samsung as potential gatekeepers under strict EU tech regulations. Their concern wasn’t just about shiny gadgets but about access, discoverability, and ensuring consumers can freely move between services without being steered into a single company’s ecosystem.

The screen sitting front and center stops being just a neutral device. It heavily influences what content is prioritized, how effortlessly it can be accessed, and what options quietly fade away. The dominance of this interface is shaping the entire smart home experience.

The core promise remains familiar: less friction, less clutter, less effort. Say the word or tap the screen, and the system handles the rest. However, this convenience can morph into subtle coercion. The simplest choice is usually the one already aligned with the platform owner’s services, defaults, recommendations, or paid upgrades.

The trick isn’t to lock every door; it’s often enough to make a single path feel effortless while making alternatives seem somewhat inconvenient. Basic options stay available, nudging users toward subscriptions, add-ons, or deeper integrations. Over time, users often stop actively choosing and instead drift toward the preferred options—what initially seemed neutral can start to feel anything but.

Cable companies succeeded with a simple model: control the central box, offer convenience as a paid service, and subtly influence what viewers find, pay for, and stick with. Today’s smart homes are reviving a similar approach with sleeker hardware and better interfaces. The “box” can be a TV operating system, a voice assistant, or a home dashboard, with the middleman learning how to appear more friendly.

While paying for software, cloud storage, or other essential services makes sense, I find it harder to accept that hardware I already own should constantly require permissions, upgrades, or recurring payments. The promise was a seamless experience, but increasingly it feels like just another way to charge twice.

When major players push the same agenda, convenience can serve as blinders, distracting from the creeping subscription costs, loss of control, and ongoing data collection. Regulators might address these issues later, but in the meantime, I’m often left paying extra to unlock the full potential of hardware I already purchased.

  • How to Complete the Lighthouse Vault in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

How to Complete the Lighthouse Vault in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

At Squibbly’s Point Lighthouse, near the new POI Squibbly Shores in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 2, there’s a secret vault filled with loot that needs a keycard to open. Find the keycard first to access the rare treasures inside.

The only way to get into the vault is by fishing for the keycard, so be ready to put in some effort. Here’s what you need to know about locating the keycard and the hidden vault at Squibbly’s Point Lighthouse in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 2.

How to Open the Lighthouse Vault

If you go to Squibbly’s Point Lighthouse, you’ll see a secret vault inside, near the lighthouse machinery. When you approach it, it will tell you that a keycard is needed to open the door. Luckily, the keycard can be found nearby.

To find the lighthouse keycard, look for a blue fishing spot. It looks similar to a regular fishing spot but shines with a blue color and has a faint rainbow effect over it. You can spot it from above while gliding over the water around Squibbly’s Point Lighthouse.

How to Fish for the Keycard

Grab a fishing rod from the barrels around the area—there’s one on each pier and near the water’s edge on the eastern side. Throw your hook into the special blue fishing spot and wait for the indicator to show that something has bitten. Reel in to see if you’ve caught the keycard.

Important Tip: If you miss the first bite, you might reel in a chest of loot instead of the keycard, so try again.

Once you get the keycard, head back to the lighthouse. Inside, interact with the vault to use the keycard and unlock it. This will reward you with top-tier loot, including two rare or better weapons, a lot of gold, ammunition, and health items.

More vault locations will be added later in the season, with one planned for the Ice King. Keep an eye out for those upcoming spots.

  • How to Open the Puzzle Chest in Hubble Castle Using Completing and Solving in DQ7 Reimagined

How to Open the Puzzle Chest in Hubble Castle Using Completing and Solving in DQ7 Reimagined

“Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined” features complex puzzles, and one of the trickiest is the statue crossing puzzle found in the Grand Conjuratorium. This puzzle has confused many players since the game’s original release on PlayStation, but it’s actually quite straightforward once you understand the pattern.

The key to solving this puzzle lies in walking through doorways in a specific sequence to reveal hidden platforms, which in turn unlock treasures. Interestingly, this same puzzle appears twice in the game: once in the Conjuratorium itself and again in Hubble Castle’s Water Tower. In both locations, following the same pattern will unlock a hidden chest or access a new area containing valuable items.

If you’ve been struggling to figure out this riddle, here’s how to solve it:

How to Solve the Statue Puzzle

The only clue you get comes from a woman in a previous version of the game’s region. You’ll find her on the second floor of the Water Tower (located east once you enter the castle).

    Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

    1. Stand underneath the statue on the left side of the room.
    2. Walk straight through the center of the room and exit through the east wall.
    3. Move around to the top outside of the room.
    4. Walk through the center again and exit through the bottom wall.

By following this pattern in the Water Tower, you will open the chest in the middle of the room. When performed in the Grand Conjuratorium’s entrance hall, this same steps will lift a walkway to the stairs, granting access to a new area filled with more treasure.

    Extra Tip

The secret area in the Grand Conjuratorium contains a tablet fragment and a statue. Speaking to the statue will grant you a more powerful version of The Great Leveller—an upgrade that becomes especially useful after completing the story events at Hubble, making the trip well worth it.

  • How to Find and Open the Power Rod Room in Arc Raiders Using Completing and Solving

How to Find and Open the Power Rod Room in Arc Raiders Using Completing and Solving

Power Rods are among the rarest and most valuable items in Arc Raiders, classified as epic-tier gear. The game makes them special by limiting their drops, tying them to multiple systems, and making their use strategic. Without a clear plan, using a Power Rod can seem like a mistake later. Although they might look like just high-end crafting parts, their importance runs much deeper.

These items are situated at the intersection of game progression and high-stakes exploration. Experienced players often think twice before spending one. If you find yourself with a Power Rod and aren’t sure what it’s for, or if you’re trying to figure out how best to use it, this guide will explain their significance and how to handle them without wasting this rare resource.

How To Find And Open The Power Rod Room

Power Rods can be used to unlock a specific loot room in Damn Battlegrounds. The door to this room is inside the Power Generation Complex, located on the southeast end, and is marked by a large locked door.

Tip: Using a Power Rod on this door consumes the item, so it’s important to plan your run carefully before attempting to open it.

A better way to reach the Power Rod room is from the Red Lakes area to the south. Approach the Power Generation Complex via a rope entrance, which usually has less player traffic. Inside the complex, look for a large industrial hallway that leads deeper into the structure — this signals you’re near the locked door. Be aware of environmental threats like turrets, and try to unlock the door quickly before moving inside. It’s recommended to keep the Power Rod in your safe pocket to avoid losing it if you die en route. Once the door opens, you gain access to a loot room containing high-value items.

    Visual Aid:
A good vantage point is approaching from the south side, climbing into the complex using a rope, then heading down the industrial hallway to locate the locked door. The loot room inside contains weapons, shields, armor, and medical supplies, with loot quality improving at night, especially rare weapons and blueprints.

What Are The Other Power Rod Uses?

Beyond opening the loot room, Power Rods have multiple uses in crafting and repairs. Because of their importance in gear progression, it’s often worth saving a Power Rod for crafting better equipment, as the loot from the locked room doesn’t always offer a great trade for an epic item.

At the Gear Bench Level 3, Power Rods are needed to craft the Heavy Shield. They are also required for the blueprint-locked Snap Hook, and once crafted, they are used to repair the Snap Hook.

Additionally, Power Rods can be recycled or salvaged if they’re no longer needed. Recycling them yields Advanced Electrical Components, while salvaging provides both these components and ARC Circuitry. These materials are crucial for higher-tier crafting, making Power Rods useful even when broken down.

  • How to Open the Cargo Door in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by Completing and Solving

How to Open the Cargo Door in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by Completing and Solving

After the destruction spreads across Kinglor Forest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, So’lek must reclaim the land and find those who disappeared in From The Ashes. The terrain is mostly covered in flames and ash, but we’ll guide you through navigating the Na’vi homeland.

From the mountain peaks to underwater tunnels, So’lek is clever and strong. Finding missing members of his new family takes time, but it’s worth it to stop the RDA from harming the planet further.

    Where To Find Teylan

When you start this mission, the first spot is in a smoky area. You need to clear out the RDA presence there, especially the Prometheus and Poseidon operations, which you can track under the “Sabotage The RDA” section in your quest log.

Once these are done, head east to Dawn’s Glade, which is north of Sister’s Steps. You’ll recognize it by a burning Mangkwan Raider camp.

How To Defeat Mangkwan Raider Hayn

After investigating the fire and calling out for Teylan, you’ll meet a Mangkwan Raider named Hayn, who won’t talk. She’s alone, so she’s fairly easy to take down. Use your best weapons and shoot her until her health drops.

When she’s defeated, approach her to perform a finisher and get a token as proof of your kill. Then, continue your search of the camp, following the trail of white flowers heading north.

Where To Find The First Zeykoma Fruit

Follow the white flowers along the cliffside into a cave. Turn left at the ledge, where a large fruit is blooming. Interact with it to permanently increase your maximum health.

After that, Teylan contacts you to confirm he’s alive. He’s tracking the Mangkwan to the shoreline, near a large facility that needs to be taken down.

Where To Find The Cargo Ship

Travel east until you reach the water. Priya and Teylan will notify you, and you’ll encounter Frontiers Port Echo. Teylan is headed for the bridge, so you should hurry to meet him there.

Navigate around the port walls to reach the water at the back. Climb onto the docks and hide while planning your approach.

Stealth can be tricky because of defenses, so use powerful arrows to quietly eliminate enemies if you’re confident. Otherwise, explore the base with your Na’vi senses to open the cargo door yourself.

Teylan mentioned a backup tunnel underneath the ship, which is highly recommended!

How To Open The Cargo Door

Swim around the ship’s southwestern side and dive when you see an RDA lift. Look for an opening in the maintenance tunnel to sneak inside undetected.

Climb along the piping, and use the lift to move up the tunnel. Proceed to the control room, where you can override the system and open the cargo door. After that, leave the office and make your way to the bridge just outside.

Watch out for patrols on the deck below! It’s best to deal with them carefully so you aren’t caught before reaching the checkpoint.

Once on the bridge, climb the pipes and disable power boxes as needed. You’ll see a broken hellhound — a sure sign you’re on the right track.

Enter the bridge to reunite with Teylan and grab the RDA Knife, which has a charge that can overload certain doors and mechanisms.

How To Get To The Engine Room

From the control room, turn left, slide down the elevator shaft, and drop into the next area through a vent. Here, sabotage the two engine terminals and throw grenades into the hatches above them, making sure to break both terminals first to prevent the sprinkler system from shorting your knife’s charge.

You can turn off the water by operating a valve at the back of the room, behind the terminals. Eliminate the RDA reinforcements and blow up the remaining engine.

Head through the back doors to enter the cargo hold and escape. More enemies will come, so deal with or slip past them quickly.

How To Open The Cargo Hold Door

Arrive at the cargo hold, where a large door blocks your escape. Use the nearby console by climbing up the rampart to open it. Be aware of AMP suits and hellhounds patrolling the area. You can fight them directly or quietly take them out with your knife.

How To Defeat Mangkwan Raider Uknam

Once the door opens, Uknam rushes out with a battle cry. She’s easy to deal with — use your firearms to weaken her, then leap across crates to stay on high ground. When her health is low, perform a finisher to take her down and get her Mangkwan token ring. Continue to the next doors to leave the facility.

How To Escape Frontiers Port Echo

To escape, destroy all fuel silos, electrical systems, and parked aircraft scattered around the port. Teylan has directed the hellhounds to attack the RDA instead of So’lek, giving you an advantage.

The fuel silos are in the north, and vehicles and systems are spread throughout. Take cover during alerts, focus on your objectives, and shoot electrical panels on the control tower and nearby structures to disable them.

Once everything is destroyed, reunite with Teylan in the port, call down Iley, and fly back with him to the new resistance headquarters for regrouping.

  • How to Open Locked Chests in Where Winds Meet by Completing & Solving

How to Open Locked Chests in Where Winds Meet by Completing & Solving

In the game Where Winds Meet, you get to explore a vast open world and live out your martial arts dreams in this Wuxia action RPG. You can learn fighting skills that help you defeat any enemy, whether big or small. Your main goals may be to seek revenge for fallen loved ones or choose to commit crimes—your decisions shape your story.

One challenge you’ll face are locked treasure chests. These can be tricky for beginners, but there are multiple ways to open them. Finding treasure can be a game-changer, enhance your exploration, and even save your life.

    Where To Find Locked Chests

Once you reach Kaifeng, you’ll discover a new city filled with many hidden treasures, most behind locked chests. You can find these chests guarding the riverbanks or along lesser-used roads with traveling merchants. You’ll know a chest is locked when it shines with a gold glow and can’t be opened without a lockpicking mini-game.

    How To Lockpick Chests

To unlock a chest, you’ll need to play a puzzle mini-game. Be careful not to get seen while lockpicking. If NPCs notice you, they might tell you to leave or even fight you. When you’re in position and interact with the lock, the puzzle begins.

The lockpicking puzzle involves aligning pieces of the lock’s tumblers to form a picture. The difficulty increases with your level. When all pieces seem to fit together, listen for a soft click—it confirms you’re on the right track. When the picture aligns perfectly, the chest unlocks. Be quick to loot the contents before anyone catches you!

    You might see patterns like:

    • The Tiger
    • The Serpent
    • The Dragon
    • The Horse

If you’re stuck, look for hints or clues left by other players around the area to solve the puzzle.

Note: If sneaking isn’t your style, you can also eliminate NPCs guarding the chest. Just be aware that this might increase your bounty, leading to future trouble.

    Opening Guarded Chests Without Lockpicking

For heavily guarded chests or dangerous locations, you can avoid lockpicking altogether by using a martial arts ability called Celestial Seize. This technique allows you to remotely retrieve items from the chest, confusing the guards.

To learn Celestial Seize, head to Qinghe at Heaven’s Pier and complete the Foul Play quest. During a drinking contest, you must steal a vial hidden on some crates. Successfully doing this unlocks the martial art, which you can then use at your discretion.

Warning: Not all locked chests can be opened this way. Some will require the mini-game, especially if the chance to use Celestial Seize is zero percent.

  • How to Find and Opening All High Security Lockboxes in Outer Worlds 2

How to Find and Opening All High Security Lockboxes in Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 isn’t a traditional open-world game. Instead, it features several large zones that you can explore at your own pace, but with more linearity than many RPGs. Still, each area is big enough to hide plenty of collectibles, and some are worth hunting down completely.

In every zone of The Outer Worlds 2, you’ll find High Security Lockboxes. These small chests are added to your ship once discovered, but opening them is no simple task. They form part of a long quest that takes the entire game to complete, making it an exciting interstellar treasure hunt with top-tier rewards.

    ### What Are High Security Lockboxes?
High Security Lockboxes are special chests that contain valuable items. Before stepping off the ship’s hold onto Paradise Island, Valerie will stop you to explain that there are two of these lockboxes stored there, both holding rare items and requiring specific keys to open. Valerie kindly gives you your first Advanced Decryption Key to access one of them.

These lockboxes aren’t just the initial two found on the ship—they appear throughout the game. In total, there are 17 High Security Lockboxes. The first two are already on the ship, leaving 15 for you to find. Each one has a unique piece of armor, helmet, or weapon inside, making them well worth the effort. Some items can significantly change your gameplay style or improve your current setup.

    ### How to Open High Security Lockboxes
Once you find a lockbox, you’ll need an Advanced Decryption Key to open it. Each lockbox requires a different number of keys—anywhere from four up to nine, depending on its complexity. You can find these keys all over the game world—by exploring, buying from merchants, completing quests, or even pickpocketing NPCs. Since they are everywhere, prioritize the lockboxes you want most, as it’s unlikely you’ll have enough keys to open all of them.

You can also cycle through your collected lockboxes on the ship’s hold by pressing the blue buttons beside them, avoiding wasting keys on items you might not want.

    > Currently, The Outer Worlds 2 does not have a New Game Plus mode, so there’s no benefit to saving or carrying over items after a new game. Focus on what benefits you now.

    ### Every High Security Lockbox and Its Contents
There are 15 lockboxes to discover, each holding a specific weapon or piece of gear. The contents are consistent, so once you know what’s inside, you can decide which lockboxes to pursue based on your preferences. Items inside are always the same regardless of the order in which you find the lockboxes.

    #### Lockbox #1 and #2 – Valerie’s Mod Kit and Auntie’s Acidic Dematerializer
These are the two lockboxes initially on the ship. Valerie provides an Advanced Decryption Key for the first, but you’ll need to find the others for the second.

    #### Lockbox #3 – Manager’s Tasking Hat
Located in the basement of a house in Fairfields during the quest “The Mystifying Case Of The Midnight Marauder,” this lockbox holds the Manager’s Tasking Hat helmet.

    #### Lockbox #4 – Native Species
Found in the northern part of Paradise Island during “The Lab That Shouted Loudly And Incoherently,” this lockbox sits beneath an Alpha Raptidon and contains the Native Species armor.

    #### Lockbox #5 – Tactical Trajectile Defense Dome
Located on the first floor of the Ministry of Accuracy in Paradise Island, near Inez, this lockbox includes the Tactical Trajectile Defense Dome helmet.

    #### Lockbox #6 – Dead Man’s Jacket
Inside the Automech Repair Center at Euphoria Coast, after completing certain quests to unlock a specific shield, you can find this lockbox on a shelf containing the Dead Man’s Jacket armor.

    #### Lockbox #7 – Remote Detonator
Sitting in a large house in Westport’s sunken area, just off Zeb’s house and guarded by Crabbles, this lockbox stores the Remote Detonator sniper rifle.

    #### Lockbox #8 – Murder’s Best Friend
Buried deep in the Raptidon Den on Paradise Island’s northwestern section, this lockbox holds the Murder’s Best Friend knife.

    #### Lockbox #9 – Auto-Hacker 5000
Found inside the Vox Relay, specifically in the operations floor on the eastern side, this lockbox contains the Auto-Hacker 5000 submachine gun. Note: after completing the main mission, this area becomes inaccessible, so missing this lockbox is possible.

    #### Lockbox #10 – Bowlzerker
Located in Golden Ridge at Guardian Estates, this lockbox inside a smaller room in the east-side station contains the Bowlzerker helmet.

    #### Lockbox #11 – The Lonesome Ranger
In the southwest refugee camp of Golden Ridge, as part of the Arbitrary Measures quest, you’ll find this inside a building containing a terminal, holding The Lonesome Ranger helmet.

    #### Lockbox #12 – A New Point Of View
Positioned atop the highest point in Golden Ridge, accessible by following the tracks south from the Decommissioned Autonomous Extractorium and using double jump, this lockbox is guarded by Mantisaurs and contains the A New Point Of View helmet.

    > At this location, you’ll also find the last few AutoDoc Compression Coils, part of the Hazard A Gas quest.

    #### Lockbox #13 – Scrutinizer’s Eyepiece
In the N-Ray Range, not inside the underground, but in the waiting room initially locked, this lockbox can be accessed by progressing through the underground elevators. It contains the Scrutinizer’s Eyepiece helmet. There’s also a mural piece in this station area.

How to Open Otto’s Room in The Outer Worlds 2: Completing & Solving

After you send the Vox Relay and escape Paradise Island in The Outer Worlds 2 to explore other planets, you’ll face two options: go to Dorado, which takes you to the next main story location, or visit the ACS Free Market. The market is operated by Sub Rosa, a black market organization that operates on the edges of the Arcadia system, trading with any side willing to make a deal. The market has a mysterious past that most people there aren’t keen to discuss, but some may still ask questions about it.

How to Start The Last Voyage of the ACS Free Market Quest

When you arrive at the ACS Free Market, you’ll notice tons of strange advertisements. There, you’ll overhear a conversation between Stallworth, a member of the Order, and Seybold, a Sub Rosa guard. Seybold refuses to share information with Stallworth because she’s associated with the Order, which makes her hesitant to speak openly.

You don’t have to worry about her secrecy. You can approach Stallworth, chat with her, and even agree to help her find information. She claims it’s just for cataloging, since the market’s history is pretty unclear. Since no one else is willing to talk, she wants you to investigate for her.

    Gathering Information for Stallworth

To begin your investigation, Stallworth recommends checking out several spots:

    • The saloon
    • The bazaar
    • The Sub Rosa headquarters
    • The wrecks around the ship

These locations will give you clues, but progress might be slow. Here are some more direct avenues to explore:

    Interviewing Prospero

The first person to talk to is Prospero, who’s in the 2nd Choice Saloon in the bazaar. It’s best to speak with Tristan and the bartender first to keep things quiet and avoid drawing too much attention. Prospero claims he knows about the station’s tragic history but will only tell you if you bring him his favorite drink: Glacial Age Icebery Aged Whiskey.

If you have the right skills, you can bypass this requirement, but the easiest way is to find the whiskey nearby—behind the bar, sitting untouched. Once you grab it, bring it to Prospero, and he’ll share some dramatic but somewhat truthful details about the market’s past.

    Searching the Sub Rosa Terminal

Next, you can investigate the Sub Rosa headquarters, located beneath the saloon. The entrance is through a locked door next to the bar—originally sealed, but accessible after completing Tristan’s first quest. You can also access a section earlier by sneaking through a vent in the toilets, which leads behind the door. The guard below is asleep, so you can move freely once inside.

Access the terminal inside and retrieve data, which reveals that the ACS Free Market had taken out an insurance policy—possibly indicating someone planned to profit from the ship’s destruction. Plus, there’s a strange, unrelated entry about Milverstreet worth checking out.

    Getting Otto’s Information

Otto is another key source of insight. He’s located in the bazaar, on the right side as you enter from the landing pad. His shop looks rundown, and he seems a bit odd compared to other vendors. You can ask him about the ship, though he’s pretty guarded. Using Engineering skills, you can get him to open up, or you can explore his personal room to find out more.

Otto’s room is hidden behind a wall hole near the start area, and to open the safe, you need the N-Ray Scanner from Golden Ridge. The puzzle involves activating power boxes in a specific order, linked by invisible lines unless you use the scanner. There are three power lines that must be carefully traced to unlock the safe, which contains valuable items like an Advanced Decryption Key and Otto’s journal—detailing the ship’s history.

Note: You can attempt the puzzle without the scanner, but it’s much harder to get right.

    Returning to Stallworth

Once you gather all this info, go back and speak with Stallworth, who is waiting in the same spot as before. She reveals she’s been collecting this intel for the war effort against Auntie’s Choice. You can choose to betray her by killing her, object to her motives, or agree to her plans to increase your standing with the Order. That’s the end of the quest.

  • How to Complete the Underground Door in Keeper and Solve Its Secrets

How to Complete the Underground Door in Keeper and Solve Its Secrets

Exploring an abandoned island as a wandering lighthouse with no one to talk to but an emerald-feathered bird makes “Keeper” a very unique game. It features a series of puzzles that you need to solve to reach the mountain’s peak and stop the Wither once and for all. Like all puzzles, some may be challenging.

Luckily, we’re here to help you understand how to advance smoothly through the game. If you’re stuck on the decorated door puzzle beneath the giant tree guardian, we can guide you through it. Here’s how to solve the winding gears puzzle on the door.

Where to Find the Winding Door Puzzle
Use your focused light beam on the winding knots beneath the tree guardian to open up new areas of the underground caves. As you explore, a door will seal behind you, trapping you in a room filled with glowing mushrooms and a large puzzle door with a shining blue eye. Although this is the way forward, it’s currently inaccessible because it’s missing two of three gear handles needed to turn the icons on the door. Use your light on the knot door to the right and pass through to search for the missing handles.

Where to Get the First Handle
The first handle is located down the path to the right. Dash through the vines and wade into the water to find two knot doors. The door on your left shows the icon you need, and it has a handle lodged inside. Send Twig out and rotate the handle around the icon until it reaches the bottom. Twig will then bring back the handle, hanging it on your railing.

Where to Get the Second Handle
The second handle can be found by breaking through the vines on the left. Make your way back to a wall puzzle, where Twig needs to fly out and operate a lever. Move the lever in this sequence: left, down, left, up, and left. This action will free the handle, which Twig will carry back to you.

    Puzzle Door Solution
Return to the large door and send Twig to place the two missing handles into the gears. Once attached, you’ll need to rotate the gears to unlock the door. Here’s how to wind each gear:

    • Top Gear: Rotate so the point faces downward, like an arrow.
    • Middle Gear: Turn it so the flames point toward the eye at the center of the door.
    • Bottom Gear: Wind it into an S-shape from top to bottom.

When winding the gears, listen carefully. You’ll notice the winding slows down and becomes tight when you’re close to solving the puzzle—that’s your cue.

Once the gears are correctly wound and the door opens, you can move on to the next area.

  • How to Find and Open Golden Chests in Borderlands 4: Completing and Solving

How to Find and Open Golden Chests in Borderlands 4: Completing and Solving

The golden chest has returned in Borderlands 4 and works similarly to earlier versions. If you have some golden keys, you can open the golden chest in major hub towns to get valuable items.

Because of the open-world design in Borderlands 4, there are now several golden chests scattered throughout the game. The process to unlock them is the same as before, so experienced players will find it familiar. For newcomers or those who haven’t played Borderlands in a while, here’s a quick explanation of what the golden chest is and how to unlock it.

    What Are Golden Chests?

Golden chests are a special, reusable source of loot in Borderlands 4. In each main hub town, you can spend golden keys to open these chests, which always drop high-quality gear. Items from these chests are at least of Epic quality. Similar to Borderlands 3, there’s a decent chance of getting Legendary items from the world loot pool when opening these chests.

All types of items you normally find in red chests are available here—guns, shields, ordnance, and class mods. Items from the golden chest always match your character’s level. This makes it a good way to gear up while leveling or to improve your gear after reaching the level cap for endgame challenges.

    Golden Chest Locations

    Town Location Map
The Launchpad The Howl, The Fadelands
Carcadia Ruined Sumplands, Carcadia Burn Map
Belton’s Bore The Low Leys, Terminus Range Map
The Lockaway Carcadia District, Dominion Map

    How To Get Golden Keys

Golden keys are earned using Shift Codes. Gearbox sometimes posts these codes on social media, which you can redeem in-game for free golden keys and cosmetic items. Keep in mind, golden keys are single-use for your entire account, so use them wisely.

If you want to collect more keys, check out the Borderlands 4 Shift Codes guide for all active codes and tips on how to redeem them.

  • How to Open the Locked Door in Jova in Hell Is Us Using Completing and Solving

How to Open the Locked Door in Jova in Hell Is Us Using Completing and Solving

Hell Is Us prefers to keep things unclear. While some storylines and puzzles are fairly simple, there’s satisfaction in solving them without much help. Usually, you’re never completely at a standstill, because the game provides tools to assist, most of the time anyway.

Some puzzles can be a bit more difficult because you might not have a clear starting point. The Enlightenment Mystery is one such challenge. Depending on when you start collecting clues, you might feel more lost than expected. You can’t finish it all on your first try, but the rewards are worth the effort.

How to Start the Enlightenment Mystery

When you enter the Acasa Marshes, its many secrets become yours to uncover, including the Enlightenment Mystery. The problem with this puzzle is that it involves exploring the entire marsh, including areas you don’t have access to until later in the game.

There’s a helpful clue in the marshes around the village. If you have the right password, you can go further into the mystery earlier than expected.

The main goal is to open a special door in the area. Go to Jova’s town and find the well at the center. Climb down into the sewers and navigate around until you find a large, locked wooden door with five symbols around it. You’ll need more clues to open it, so let the hunt begin!

    Getting The Symbols Notebook

To solve the puzzle, you need to find the symbols scattered across the marshes and use them to unlock the door. But without knowing where these symbols are or how they look, it’s tricky. There’s a useful hint in the marshes near the village.

Leave Jova from the north and head for the small outpost. From there, you should see some ruins to the east, behind a fence. Along the path, you’ll spot a sparkle on the ground—the clue. Before approaching it, eliminate the Lymbic Entities that emerge from the marsh—they’re easy to defeat since they’re regular enemies.

Picking up the item gives you the Notebook – Symbol Research. Its pages show the same symbols found on the door beneath Jova’s well, along with descriptions. These symbols are:

    • U-shape
    • Lightbulb
    • Cartwheel
    • V-shape
    • Eye

The notebook also describes whether the symbols are dotted or solid, which becomes clearer once you start matching them in the game.

    Finding The Five Symbols

In the marshes, five locations contain torch setups with a symbol beneath each. Activating the correct torch in each spot opens the door in Jova if done correctly. Here’s where to find each one and which torch to activate.

Tip: These locations are dark, so turn on your flashlight to see better.

Symbol #1 – Near ON Peacekeepers

Travel to the southern monument. At the base, stairs lead inside, where you’ll find stranded ON Peacekeepers and a locked Lymbic Door. Opposite the door are the torches. This first symbol is the Lightbulb. You need to activate the Solid Lightbulb—the one on the left with smooth rings around the shape. Light it up to complete this part.

Symbol #2 – Beneath Pathem Abbey

Next, head under Pathem Abbey. You can access this only after reaching Act Two, which happens after placing the Keystone of Grief in the Lymbic Forge. When it’s unlocked, find the torches near the area where Jaffer might be present. Here, the symbol is the Cartwheel, and the required torch is the Dotted Cartwheel, located to the right of the exit. Light it to finish this step.

Symbol #3 – Vigil Training Grounds

Located northeast of the marshes, near the Hermit and the crash site, these grounds need to be unlocked by solving the Martial Lineage mystery—hit the four pillars in the correct order, counter-clockwise. Inside, find the torches with the U-shape symbol. Activate the Dotted U-shape on the left wall to proceed.

Symbol #4 – Cave Beneath Observation Post

This cave is in the marsh outside Jova, near the ON Outpost, and next to the place where you first found the Symbol Research notebook. Although you usually get the password for the gate here as part of the story, you can open it anytime. Inside, find the vault with the V-shape symbol. Activate both v-shaped torches—solid and dotted—located here to continue.

    Symbol #5 – Jova Sewers

In the sewers under Jova, beneath the locked door and near the initial discovery point, you find the last torches. The final symbol is the Eye, and you need to activate the Solid Eye torch on the left. Doing so triggers a rumble, indicating the symbols are correctly aligned.

    Entering the Door

Once all five symbols are correctly activated, a rumbling sound confirms the puzzle is solved. Head back to the door—you’ll see it open, revealing plenty of items inside, including the Twin Axes of Grief, the Polearm of Ecstasy, and the Crucible of Fire passive relic.

With that, the Enlightenment Mystery is complete.

  • How to open the Senedra Forest locked door in Hell Is Us by completing and solving

How to open the Senedra Forest locked door in Hell Is Us by completing and solving

Hell Is Us makes several daring decisions, such as depicting the brutal and unforgiving realities of war. One of the most important gameplay choices is leaving most of the discovery and exploration up to you. There are no quest markers or maps—just notes and your instincts guide you.

Early in the game, you’ll come across the Forlorn Fate Good Deed mission. In this task, two people are trapped and locked in, with no obvious way to free them. Since people can’t stay locked up forever, you need to find the key quickly, which involves a lot of traveling.

    ### How to Start the Forlorn Fate Good Deed

After entering the trenches in Senedra Forest, you can explore different locations, including the area near the cave’s entrance. Instead, follow the trenches until you’re walking above them, heading east. Along the way, defeat the Lymbic Entities, and you’ll encounter smaller sections of trenches that are cut off from the main ones. Proceed down these trenches to find a small room with a locked door, similar to the one in the earlier ruins from the Secrets of the Ram Mystery.

The doors are locked, and inside, you’ll hear someone calling out for help. Though you can’t respond, they will share information. They were locked in by someone helping them, but that person took the key with them. They fled back to Talju to find a map they had forgotten, and they are part of the Vanderlyn group. For now, that’s all you know, and it will be a while before you can do anything about it. So for now, just leave them be.

    ### Where to Find the Map for the Locked Door

To open this door later, you need to reach Talju, which becomes accessible after progressing far enough in the story. After you go beneath Lake Cynon to the Lymbic Forge and place the Keystone of Grief, you’ll start Act Two. This unlocks exploration of Hadea and allows you to find the remaining Keystones.

Head to Talju to find a mechanic named Boru Joven in the garage area. Talk to him to get a map of the town, which makes navigating much easier. Equip this map to your quick slots, and you’ll see the Vanderlyn Trust offices marked on the southwest side. This is your destination.

Make your way there, fighting enemies and unlocking shortcuts. Inside the building, you’ll discover the Symbol – Flame, which is used to open the locked door back in Senedra Forest, as well as the Map – Senedra Forest. Both are located in the same area, so no extra searching is needed.

With these items, you can leave Talju and return to the locked door in Senedra Forest, using the Symbol – Flame to open it.

    ### Returning the Map and the Key

Once you have the map and key, go back to the door and insert the Symbol – Flame to unlock it. Inside are two survivors, relieved to be freed. They mention they are not from here and are unsure how to navigate the mountains south of Hadea without their guide.

Fortunately, you found the map they were seeking in the Vanderlyn Trust building. Offer it to one of them in exchange for their thanks, the Cufflinks Research Item, and complete the Forlorn Fate Good Deed.

    ### Changes Based on Story Progress

As you progress through the story, the survivors’ desperation increases. The more Keystones you’ve collected and placed, the more distressed they become, crying out for help when you approach the door. If you gather all Keystones before freeing them, they will die, and the Good Deed will fail. Make sure to open the door before that happens, as failed Good Deeds don’t count toward your trophies or achievements.

    ### Additional Tips

    – When the survivors mention they don’t know how to pass through the mountains, it’s crucial to give them the map you found. If you skip this step and continue the storyline, they will leave without your help, and you won’t receive any reward or closure. Avoid this by offering the map immediately.

    – After completing the Good Deed, consider returning to Gildas at the Watcher’s Nest in Vyssa Hills for extra rewards.

    ### Note on Rewards

The rewards you get vary with each Good Deed, but it can be tricky to determine if you’ve submitted multiple ones at once. Pay attention to what you receive for each completed deed.

  • How To Open Every Vault in Hell Is Us: Completing and Solving

How To Open Every Vault in Hell Is Us: Completing and Solving

In Hell Is Us, exploration is key, and you need to find your way around on your own. This isn’t just about completing your current objective—there are many historical items scattered throughout that reveal more about Hadea’s past and help you understand why the country is the way it is today.

One of the main places where history is stored is the Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge. These are sealed rooms containing valuable loot and important historical documents. To access them, you’ll need to find the right password. The passwords are always related to a combination of the eight emotions featured in the game. Inside each vault, you’ll find unique items, including Amine Prisms, new weapons, lore objects, and most often, Glyphs and Relics.

There are six Vaults in total across the game. Sometimes, you’ll see their locked entrances early on before you have the means to open them. Unless you look up their passwords below, you’ll have to work to unlock them through your research.

Unlike other locked doors, Vaults don’t require solving complex puzzles. They are tied to your research progress. Many collected items are Research Items, which you can give to Tania at the APC to learn their historical importance. As you research more, Tania will eventually tell you the approximate location and password for each Vault.

You’ll receive the Vaults in a specific order, based on your story progress and how many Research Items you’ve gathered. To naturally get access to every Vault, you’ll need to find all Research Items. If you already know the password, however, you can access the Vaults in any order at any time.

There are six Vaults positioned around Hadea. Most are easy to locate, especially with Tania’s directions, since they use symbols for emotions. Here’s what each symbol looks like:

    • Rage: a vertical symbol with smaller horizontal lines.
    • Terror: a hollow rectangle with a snake-like shape inside.
    • Grief: a curved line with teardrops hanging from it.
    • Ecstasy: a circle topped with a star shape.
    • Loathing: a large U-shape with diagonal lines at the bottom.
    • Vigilance: an eye with a diagonal line through it.
    • Admiration: the shape of the number 8.
    • Amazement: a wide-open eye shape.

Here’s where to find each Vault and their passwords:

Vault of the Copse – Senedra Forest
Located at the hilltop near a small OMSIF camp, close to the Caddell Treasure Hunt site. Hidden in a small cave among the trees.
Password options: Terror, Admiration, Rage, Amazement

Vault of the Knoll – Vyssa Hills
Found behind a waterfall in the early parts of the area, accessible by reaching the higher ground and dropping into a hidden cave at the water’s edge.
Password options: Admiration, Amazement, Ecstasy, Rage

Vault of the Mere – Lake Cynon
Hidden along a quiet water path after dropping from the overlook where your vehicle is parked. Follow the water’s edge to find the cave at the end of this secret route.
Password options: Vigilance, Grief, Loathing, Ecstasy

Vault of the Prairie – Jeljin
Located in a tunnel beneath the chapel, accessed from a fenced dig site nearby. The entrance is straightforward and not very secretive.
Password options: Grief, Loathing, Ecstasy, Terror

Vault of the Beck – Marastan
Situated in the ruins of the Raveta estate, across a small bridge at the back of the site. You’ll find the cave entrance there, outside the main city.
Password options: Amazement, Vigilance, Admiration, Loathing

Vault of the Mire – Acasa Marshes
The last vault requires you to unlock the gate at the northeastern OMSIF Outpost using the code 151991. Inside, find the cave at the back of the area, accessible through a ruined gate marked with the Blue Mantle of Sorrow. The password for the vault door is: Rage, Ecstasy, Terror, Grief.

Once you’ve accessed all these locations, you’ve uncovered every Vault of Forbidden Knowledge in the game.

  • How to Solve Pentos’ Tomb in Hell Is Us

How to Solve Pentos’ Tomb in Hell Is Us

Hell Is Us encourages players to explore its world on their own, solving puzzles with limited hints provided within the game. It challenges you to think carefully when navigating, and that approach applies to the main story as well. For example, your search for Vitalis, the blacksmith of Jova, takes you all the way to Vyssa Hills without any objective marker guiding you.

After meeting Vitalis, you’re instructed to find the hideout of The Vigil, a secretive order, with a journalist helping you gain entry. Getting into the hideout isn’t easy; more mysteries await inside. Here’s everything you need to know to access Watcher’s Nest and solve its puzzles.

    ## How to Reach Watcher’s Nest

Start by heading along the path upward toward the time loop. Follow it left until you encounter a large wooden frame you can pass under. Continue on this trail, fighting enemies along the way. Soon, you’ll find a turn-off to the east, where you’ll meet Tania Alver, a journalist.

Tell her the password, and she will give you an Emblem – Candle, one of the items needed to access Watcher’s Nest. You will need two emblems in total; her friend Agatha has the second. They became separated when Agatha took a left path to distract the enemies. Leave Tania and take the downward-left route, where you’ll find Agatha dead, killed by Lymbic Entities. Take her ID card and the Emblem – Book.

You don’t have to go back to Tania afterward, but it’s nice to reassure her. She can also point you to follow the path toward the windmill, which is the easiest route from here. Continue along this trail, avoiding unnecessary detours into the mines. You may also encounter Atticus further along, but he’s not essential for reaching Watcher’s Nest.

    ## Opening Watcher’s Nest

When you reach the entrance, you’ll face another Hollow Walker. While they look like most Lymbic Entities, they are linked with two Haze enemies, which you must defeat first. Once defeated, insert the emblems into their respective slots beside the door, and it will open.

The inside of Watcher’s Nest is empty of enemies, putting the focus on your mental challenge. Save your progress and prepare to face the upcoming puzzle. Proceed further, especially after passing the polygraph machine.

    ## Puzzle in Watcher’s Nest

This area contains many items, computers, whiteboards, and marked walls. One of the first notes explains the importance of wall grooves, which align with details like a name, a title, a symbol, and a date. The key phrase to remember: “Through his name, his title, the symbol of his Order, and the date of inception of his Order, shall the path be revealed.”

You need to find and activate wall grooves matching these clues. The act of activating is beyond your immediate reach, so proceed further into the tomb, climbing through a hole in the wall to reach the burial chamber. There, you can collect four Ceramic Flowers, which are used to solve the puzzle.

The placement of these flowers is flexible; order doesn’t matter as long as all are placed correctly. Begin by placing the first flower on a plaque indicating the name “Algea,” who was the Warden of Grief—this groove is near a small alcove behind the whiteboard.

Next, find the symbol for Grief, which looks like a curve with a teardrop, and place a Ceramic Flower there. This symbol can be found in the circular room at the entrance, on the Lymbic Sphere.

Now, locate the date of the Order’s founding, 1513, on a plaque in this room. The grooves for the year are on a large heraldry wall; the right side represents 1513, so place the final Ceramic Flower here.

Other placements, like the symbol of the Vigil (depicted as a shield with an emblem), and the Order’s sigil on the wall, are also part of the puzzle. It’s okay to place flowers in any order, provided they are in the correct spots.

Once all flowers are correctly placed, a rumbling sound indicates the puzzle is completed. Return to Pentos’ tomb and pull the lever to open it. Inside, you will find the Mark of the Betrayed relic and the Blue Flower Scroll—necessary for progressing further.

    ## Meeting Gildas

After exiting the tomb, you hear a sudden flush, signaling the presence of Gildas Brom—the last member of The Vigil. Engage in conversations with him; he provides deeper insights into the game mechanics, such as the Guardian Detector, which shows the locations of remaining Timeloop Guardians, and the Amine Prism – Sigma, key to closing Timeloops like the one in Vyssa Hills.

You can also talk to Gildas after completing Timeloops or deeds, earning extra rewards like glyphs, relics, and more Prisms.

    ## Finding The Eternity Computer Password

One of the next steps involves a computer that is protected by a password, which isn’t accessible until Act 2. Its password is hidden in an area you can’t reach until after completing initial events at Lake Cynon.

Although you could technically access the second computer if you have the password, the game does not allow you to do so early. Once you reach Act 2, follow the Keystone of Ecstasy back to Vyssa Hills, where you will find a locked area beyond the serpent statue near Vitalis’ grave. Inside, you’ll find a corpse holding the Key – Mine, which opens locked doors earlier explored.

Proceed through the mines until you reach a large red chamber with enemies. Defeat them and investigate the corner of the room for another corpse with a note titled Cryptic Maxim. The note reads:

_”As the hours of the day slip by,
As the months of the year pass,
    And the seasons turn,
In the four corners of Hadea,
    Our Vigil Endures.”_

This cryptic message, beginning with “Eternity,” indicates that the computer password is derived from these lines, resulting in “241244.” Enter this code into the computer in Watcher’s Nest to receive additional lore and unlock further secrets.
