Is the Infinity Blade Returning in Fortnite OG Season 7: Completing or Solving?

Fortnite Season 7 was arguably one of the best seasons in Chapter 1. Players enjoyed an exciting storyline buildup, ongoing map updates, and the addition of more vehicles and weapons.

This classic season brought back familiar locations like Polar Peak, home to the Ice King’s lair, and Frosty Flights, where you could take to the skies in an X-4 Stormwing plane. Old weapons also made a comeback. However, one highly requested item was the Infinity Blade, leaving players wondering: “Will the Infinity Blade return in Fortnite OG Season 7?”

Is The Infinity Blade Returning in Fortnite OG Season 7?
Yes, but not just yet. Currently, the Infinity Blade is located at the Ice King’s castle, covered in snow and trapped inside an ice block at Polar Peak. It’s not accessible now, as we need the snow to melt first, revealing the ice and eventually exposing the weapon. Rest assured, it’s definitely coming back.

The Infinity Blade is kept hidden inside an ice block at Polar Peak, waiting to be uncovered.

Whether the Infinity Blade will return in the same form as in 2018 remains unconfirmed. Back in Season 7, the sword was overpowered, leading to its quick removal after a short stint.

When players picked up the Infinity Blade, they would drop all other loot, gain 200 health and 200 shields, and recover 1 HP per second. Eliminating an enemy would grant an additional 50 HP, and they would also move 30% faster. It will be interesting to see if all these features return when the weapon is finally revealed later in the season.

Fortnite OG Hit 1 Million Players in Just 20 Minutes

Fortnite OG may not be a fresh concept, as it has made appearances in the past. However, the latest launch is distinctive because Fortnite OG is being established as a permanent mode, much to the delight of long-time fans. Gamers are returning to Fortnite in droves to enjoy the nostalgia-filled experiences they cherish.

In fact, shortly after its launch, Fortnite OG attracted over 1 million concurrent players in the standard mode and an additional 270,000 in Zero Build, as reported by Polygon. To put this in perspective, that number dwarfs the peak player count of approximately 1,822 times what Concord experienced. Fortnite has always been a powerhouse, but it is currently witnessing an unprecedented influx of players. As this article is being crafted, the game boasts 3,383,844 players, with an all-time high of around 14 million concurrent players recorded just five days ago.

This surge is hardly surprising. Whenever Fortnite OG has been reintroduced, it typically results in a notable increase in player numbers, with 44.7 million people logging in throughout a single day. Whether this influx will sustain itself remains to be seen. Epic Games should seize this chance to analyze what aspects of Fortnite OG resonate with players and assess any modern updates that might have pushed older fans away.

The classic Fortnite OG mode, which revived the iconic island from Season 1, is set to make a permanent return to the game.

Epic Games shared via a post on X that Fortnite OG is “coming BACK and is here to stay” starting December 6. This means players will have the opportunity to explore the original map and loot reminiscent of Chapter 1, Season 1, originating from 2017, a time when Fortnite hadn’t yet transformed into the cultural phenomenon it is known as today.

While Epic Games has not disclosed further specifics at this time, past Fortnite OG events suggest that this revival may reintroduce a variety of weapons and vehicles. The original event began with Chapter 1, Season 5, which featured items like shopping carts, boogie bombs, and even airplanes, along with updates that brought in elements from later seasons.

The previous iteration of this event lasted roughly a month, but Epic Games later confirmed its interest in bringing it back due to its overwhelming success. During that time, the game saw an impressive influx of players, with over 44.7 million logging in on what became the “biggest day” in Fortnite’s history.

In addition to this new OG content, Fortnite has been tapping into nostalgia through its latest Chapter 2 Remix battle pass, which features classic characters and gameplay elements that hark back to 2019 and 2020. This event also includes music remixes from renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD, incorporating various iconic locations into the classic map.
