Bill Maher Urges Americans to Preserve July 4 Celebrations from Trump

Digital Phablet – Bill Maher encourages Americans not to let Trump overshadow Independence Day celebrations.

Prior to the nation’s 250th birthday, Bill Maher urged viewers not to allow President Donald Trump to dampen their spirits, emphasizing that no political party “owns the right to be enthusiastic about the country.”

During his “New Rule” segment on Friday’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” the comedian voiced his frustration with individuals boycotting July 4th because Trump is the sitting president.

“Everyone needs to get a little more excited about America’s birthday,” Maher said. “Come on, our big 250th is approaching. It’s on July 4th for our public school kids. And honestly, I see that as a significant issue.”

He added, “The problem is there’s a bit of a stain on it because, as you know, who is president now. And he’ll probably make the anniversary about himself, which many on the left fear.”

Maher highlighted that the core concern was whether Americans “will help him do it.”

“We shouldn’t. This nation is the focus of the celebration. He isn’t an American—he’s America’s temporary caretaker,” Maher explained. “America’s worker. And the message should be that America isn’t actually his to own, and no side has exclusive rights to be enthusiastic about the country. So, I don’t support this attitude of, ‘Well, we’re having a party, but if Trump’s attending, I’m not.’”

Maher jokingly criticized this mindset, calling it “so high school” that it should “be in the Epstein files.”

“Go to the celebration. It’s a grand event,” Maher teased. “You probably won’t run into him. This country is 3.8 million square miles—excluding Greenland.”

He continued: “Look, I’m not claiming Trump doesn’t want to blur the line between himself and the nation. He’s as confident as—well, you know. Wannabe authoritarian types behave this way—they try to conceal the distinction. Don’t be an accomplice to that.”

Despite this, Maher reminded everyone that there’s still much hopeful about the country, noting that Trump’s attempts to “act like a king” have been repeatedly thwarted over the last decade.

“America may currently be the country Donald Trump presides over, but it’s also everything that prevents him from becoming the king he dreams of,” Maher said. “So this Fourth of July, let’s celebrate the brilliant American concept of checks and balances, which—yes—is under threat and taking on water, but is still afloat.”

  • How to Solve No Good Deed in Ready Or Not: Boiling Point

How to Solve No Good Deed in Ready Or Not: Boiling Point

Boiling Point adds three new missions in Ready or Not. These are tough situations where you’ll need to make your way through by taking out enemies and saving innocent civilians caught in the chaos. One of the assignments is called No Good Deed, set in an amusement park on a pier.

This mission is anything but fun, as things can escalate quickly. Enemies are armed with chemical weapons that threaten your team. Here are some helpful tips for completing No Good Deed in Ready or Not: Boiling Point.

Note: This guide assumes you’re playing on normal difficulty in online multiplayer.

    No Good Deed Mission Objectives
Your main goals are to restore order and rescue all civilians. Specifically, you need to eliminate seven hostile targets and save eleven civilians. There’s also a side task to report the chemical weapons: head into a room inside an arcade, find a table with some items, and interact with them to complete this secondary objective.

Points of Interest in No Good Deed
The map shows various locations where enemies and civilians can spawn, though these spots change each time you play. Refer to these as rough guides, especially since some locations are usually consistent:

    • The big slide on your left, mostly civilians.
    • The Shark Mouths game area, often a mix of threats and innocence.
    • The small pathway after the Shark Mouths, with a hostile sometimes present.
    • The Photo Booth on the right, which may hide a civilian.
    • The northern pathway, usually hosting a civilian and a hostile.
    • The Arcade on the right, no civilians, but multiple enemies and the side objective.
    • The Haunted House beyond the Arcade, potential enemy spawn point.
    • The Wheel at the north end — often a civilian nearby.
    • The Carousel at the northeast corner, possible civilian presence.
    • The Bumper Cars, a good place for several civilians.
    • The Ice Cream Store, watch for suspects inside.
    • Classic Burgers and the Gift Shop to the east, with civilians and some hostiles.
    • The connecting path between the burger joint and ice cream shop, typically guarded by a hostile.

    Locating the Chemical Weapons
The side objective is always in the arcade, on the east side of the park. When you approach the main entrance, a civilian will faint from toxic fumes; do not worry, they don’t count against your score. Carefully enter the arcade, which has certain connecting doors. Proceed into the central room with the counter and windows. Moving skillfully through side doors, use your lockpick to get inside.

Inside, you’ll encounter a room with a desk containing explosives and bags. Interact with it by pressing F to report, and this will complete the side objective.

    Tips for No Good Deed
Instead of your usual helmet, equip a gas mask. This is especially useful during the arcade section, where the gas is strongest. Without a mask, you’ll need to move slowly and retreat when you start inhaling fumes to avoid losing health. The gas mask allows full movement and safe passage through contaminated areas.

The map has many obstacles, like moving rides and structures, including the carousel. Take your time; rushing increases the risk of missing targets or getting shot.

In the haunted house, expect darkness and possible enemies lurking inside. Use flashlights or night vision if available to see clearly.

    Secure the Area First
In all situations, try to neutralize enemies before attempting to rescue civilians. Going in guns blazing or getting distracted by civilians can get you shot or cause civilians to be harmed during the chaos. Use commands like repeatedly pressing F near civilians can make them kneel, expose their backs, and allow you to restrain them safely.

Their father-son relationship is central to the story. Although there’s some romantic interest between Captain Amelia and Doppler, it’s not the main focus.

  • Keeping Cultists Alive: Solving Challenges in No, I’m Not A Human

Keeping Cultists Alive: Solving Challenges in No, I’m Not A Human

In the game “No, I’m Not a Human,” there are ten different endings to unlock, with some being more difficult than others. One ending that all players will encounter at some point, even if not fully achieved, involves the cultists who visit your house regularly.

These cultists are connected to the “May Death Cleanse Us of Our Sins” ending. However, keeping them alive long enough to see this ending can be challenging. Here’s what you need to understand:

    ### How to Join the Cultists’ Ritual

On the eighth night, the Cult Leader will always come to your house. Regardless of your response, he will leave behind three cultists with you. Be careful not to invite any guests that could replace these cultists, as they will mention it if you do.

The Cult Leader comes back on the tenth night, and by that time, all three cultists must still be alive and with you. He returns again on the eleventh night, offering you the chance to join their ritual.

When the Cult Leader asks you to join, accepting will unlock the “May Death Cleanse Us of Our Sins” ending. If you refuse, the game continues as normal. But keeping all three cultists alive throughout is crucial.

Beware: FEMA might visit on the tenth night before the Cult Leader does. If FEMA takes away a cultist before the Cult Leader’s visit, it will ruin your chances of the ending.

The good news is that the cultists count as people in your home, so you don’t need to worry about the Pale Man while they’re present. However, if even one cultist is lost or taken by FEMA before the Cult Leader’s return, he will declare all are dead and remove any remaining cultists.

    ### How to Keep the Cultists Alive

First, you need to get the cat. Inviting the Cat Lady on the fourth night is necessary because she’s a visitor, and you’ll need her cat. Kill the Cat Lady as soon as you can to get the cat, which you must then use to order two cans of Cat Food from ForRest. Save this food for later.

Next, save your FEMA notices. These notes can be given to guests to prevent FEMA from taking them at the next visit. If you accidentally use a FEMA notice, some guests might bribe you to let them in. Keep track of guests who are willing to bribe, so you can refuse or accept as needed.

When the cultists arrive by the ninth night, if you’re certain no other visitors are in your home, you don’t have to do anything special. If you suspect a visitor might be one of the cultists, use some Cat Food to prevent anyone from dying that night. It’s best to reserve this for the later nights, but using it on the ninth night can help you identify and eliminate potential visitors.

After the cultists arrive, starting from the ninth night, hand out at least two FEMA notices to guests who are not cultists. This ensures they won’t be taken away on the tenth night. Use the Cat Food to keep everyone alive on the ninth and tenth nights, protecting you until the eleventh night when the Cult Leader can be persuaded to let you join the ritual. Alternatively, if you already have enough guests for FEMA, you can refuse admission to everyone else to prevent losing anyone.

Remember not to invite anyone in who intends to sit in the same spot as the cultists or would replace a cultist, as they could interfere with your plan.

  • What Does the Mushroom Man Do in No, I’m Not a Human? Completing and Solving

What Does the Mushroom Man Do in No, I’m Not a Human? Completing and Solving

There are ten different endings in “No, I’m Not a Human,” and figuring out how to unlock each one can be quite tricky. Since the game relies heavily on luck—such as which visitors arrive and what circumstances unfold—it becomes even more challenging to intentionally trigger the endings you want.

To unlock the “Shroom or Doom” ending, you need to perform the mushroom ritual, which involves following the instructions given by the Mushroom Man, also known as the Mushroom Eater. Here’s what you need to do:

How To Perform The Mushroom Ritual

Get the Cat into Your House
Before talking to the Mushroom Man, you must allow the Cat Lady into your house on the fourth night. She is a guaranteed visitor, but you will need to kill her the next day. Letting her in is the only way to get a cat inside. Having the cat in your home causes it to scratch up the carpet, revealing a basement door that is essential for this ending.

Wait for the Mushroom Man to Visit
The Mushroom Man has a chance of appearing on the sixth night, during which you’ll see the city burning through your peephole, and no other visitors will knock on your door. If he shows up, it’s definitely him knocking on the sixth night. After his visit, a piece of paper appears on your bedside table containing poem clues that guide you through the ritual.

    How To Get The Mushroom

The day after the Mushroom Man visits, go into the basement. On your left, you’ll find a mushroom growing among the potatoes. Interact with it and mention that you put it in the fridge. Then, head upstairs, go into your kitchen, and select the mushroom from the fridge to eat it. Continue with your day as usual and wait until the next daytime.

    Where To Find The Apple

The day after you eat the mushroom, return to the Hall (the room with the crucifix). On the shelf beside the toy, you’ll see an apple had appeared. Click on it to eat it automatically. Afterward, wait for the next day.

    Where To Find The Clock

The day after eating the apple, go into your Bedroom. A clock will appear above your bed. Click to set the time to 12 o’clock. This is the final step indicated by the poem’s clues.

Once you complete these steps, the Mushroom Man will visit you that evening to applaud your adherence to the instructions. The following night, he will ask if you’re willing to go to Mushroom Land. Agreeing to go will trigger the “Shroom or Doom” ending. Declining will allow the game to continue normally without this ending.

    Additional Notes

The Mushroom Man’s appearance used to occur only after unlocking some other endings, but this was changed with a game patch. After he visits, a note appears on your bedside table with instructions in poem form, which you must follow precisely to progress. If you fail to follow his guidance, he will return later to scold you for ignoring his warnings.

    Outdated Drivers

Keeping your system updated is essential for gaming. Old drivers can lead to:

    • Incompatibility: Many games require up-to-date graphics and audio drivers.
    • Performance issues: Bottlenecks due to outdated software can ruin your gaming experience.

    Operating System Version

Ensure your operating system supports the games you want to install. Problems may arise when:

    • You are on an older OS version: Many new games drop support for older operating systems.
    • Missing updates: Failing to install the latest OS updates can result in incompatibility.

    Security Software

    Firewall and Antivirus Interference

Security software can block downloads or installations, recognizing them as potential threats. To mitigate this, consider:

    • Temporarily disabling the firewall: Just make sure to re-enable it after the download.
    • Whitelisting the game launcher: Allowing the game launcher through security settings can facilitate smoother installation.

    Local Policies and Restrictions

    Administrative Rights

Your user account may have restrictions that prevent game installations. Check whether you have:

    • Administrative access: Without this, you may run into permission errors.
    • Group policy settings: In professional or school environments, policies may restrict downloads.

    Game Client Limitations

    Specific Client Requirements

Different games require unique launchers (e.g., Steam, Epic Games Store). Issues you might face include:

    • Client not installed: Ensuring you have the necessary launcher for the game is key.
    • Regional restrictions: Some games may not be available in your area.

    Outdated Game Launchers

If your game client is outdated, you may experience:

    • Inability to connect: Newer game titles may not be compatible with older versions of launchers.
    • Limited features: Outdated clients can lack essential functionalities needed for installing new games.

Addressing these various factors can improve your experience when attempting to download games on your Asus laptop. Whether it’s optimizing hardware configurations, ensuring sufficient storage, or troubleshooting connectivity, taking the right steps will pave the way for a more enjoyable gaming journey.

  • Why Not Change Background Asus Laptop?

Why Not Change Background Asus Laptop?

Customizing the background of your Asus laptop can be an exciting way to express your personality and enhance your user experience. However, there are some considerations you might want to think about before making that change. From aesthetic concerns to performance implications, here are several reasons that might make you rethink altering your laptop’s background.

    Aesthetic Considerations

    Stay Professional

    • Work Environment: If you’re using your Asus laptop for work, a professional background can be essential. An overly whimsical or personal background may not convey the right message to colleagues and clients.
    • Presentation Quality: Your background can affect how your presentations are perceived. A clean and straightforward image can improve focus on your work rather than distracting viewers.

    Clarity and Readability

    • Text Contrast: Background images that are too busy can make on-screen text difficult to read. Selecting a simple image or solid color can enhance readability and help you focus on your tasks.
    • Visual Noise: An overly complex background can lead to visual clutter. Opting for minimalistic designs can create a more calming and organized workspace.

    Performance Implications

    System Resources

    • Resource Usage: High-resolution backgrounds can take up valuable system resources. If your laptop is already running slowly, a demanding background might exacerbate performance issues.
    • Battery Life: Lively backgrounds with animations or high-resolution images can drain battery life more quickly, especially on devices with lower specs.

    Compatibility Issues

    • Software Conflicts: Certain backgrounds, especially animated ones, may interfere with specific applications or cause glitches. It’s wise to use backgrounds that are compatible with your operating system and software.

    Personal Usage

    Mood and Productivity

    • Emotional Impact: Your background can influence your mood. Choose a background that is inspiring or uplifting, but avoid images that evoke negative feelings or distractions.
    • Focus Factor: A background that captivates too much attention can detract from productivity. It’s crucial to select images that enhance your focus rather than serve as a distraction.

    Cluttered Desktop

    • File Organization: If you frequently save files on your desktop, a cluttered background can make it hard to locate important documents. Opting for a simpler background can help keep your digital space organized and efficient.

    Practical Considerations

    Customization Guidelines

    • Resolution Compatibility: Ensure that any image you select is optimized for your screen resolution. An improperly scaled image can look distorted and unappealing.
    • Ownership: Always verify that you have the legal right to use any image to avoid copyright issues. Opt for images in the public domain or those licensed for personal use.

    Frequency of Change

    • Habitual Customization: Changing backgrounds frequently may lead to confusion. It’s essential to find a balance between customization and maintaining a coherent workspace.
    • Familiar Environment: A consistent background can help create a sense of continuity and familiarity, enhancing your overall usage experience.

By understanding the implications of changing your Asus laptop’s background, you can make informed decisions that align with your personal and professional needs. Whether you prioritize aesthetics, performance, or organization, the choice ultimately lies in what enhances your experience the most. Keep these factors in mind to strike the right balance between customization and functionality.

Why Not Canʼt Play Any Game On My Asus Laptop?

If you’re an avid gamer and find yourself struggling to play any games on your Asus laptop, you’re not alone. Many users encounter issues that prevent them from enjoying their favorite titles. Let’s explore the primary reasons this might occur and some solutions to get you back in the game.

    Common Reasons for Gaming Issues

    • Graphics Card: Integrated graphics on lower-end models may not support recent games.
    • Processor: A slow or outdated CPU can bottleneck performance.
    • RAM: Insufficient RAM (below 8GB) can hinder gaming performance, especially for resource-intensive titles.

    2. Software Problems

Software-related issues can also impair your gaming experience. These can stem from various sources, including drivers and operating system settings.

    • Outdated Drivers: Not having the latest graphics drivers can lead to compatibility issues with new games.
    • Operating System: An outdated OS may lack important updates or features needed for gaming.
    • Background Applications: Programs running in the background can consume resources and degrade performance.

    Quick Fixes

    Check the System Requirements

    2. DirectX and Windows Updates:

      • Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX and check for Windows updates.

    Clear Out Unnecessary Files

Too many unnecessary files can slow down your system.

    • Disk Cleanup: Use this feature in Windows to remove temporary files.
    • Uninstall Unused Programs: Free up space and resources by getting rid of applications you don’t use.

    Game Compatibility Issues

Not all games are compatible with every laptop. Some factors to consider include:

    1. DirectX Compatibility

Some games require specific versions of DirectX. If your system doesn’t support the required version, you may need to update your drivers or your operating system.

    2. Game Settings

Certain games offer different modes or settings for performance.

    • Windowed vs. Full-Screen Mode: Sometimes, switching between these can help improve gameplay.
    • Graphics Quality: Adjust settings to find a balance between aesthetics and performance.

    3. Software Conflicts

Ensure that no conflicting software is affecting your gaming experience:

    • Antivirus/Firewall: Occasionally, security software may mistakenly block game files.
    • Game Launchers: Make sure that your game launcher (like Steam or Epic Games) is also updated.

    Conclusion

Addressing the issues preventing games from functioning on your Asus laptop can often be straightforward. By focusing on hardware specifications, updating your software, optimizing system performance, and ensuring compatibility, you’ll be better equipped to enjoy your gaming experience. Remember to keep an eye on both your hardware and software to maintain optimal performance over time.
