  • Apple Might Launch Its Own ChatGPT Rival Next Year

Apple Might Launch Its Own ChatGPT Rival Next Year

Apple is reportedly developing its own AI-driven knowledge engine designed to be integrated directly into Siri. The goal is to enable Siri to manage more complex queries that require internet research, functioning similarly to a web search tool.

The company is working on a new system, internally called World Knowledge Answers, which will enhance Siri’s capabilities for internet-based inquiries, according to reports from Bloomberg.

Currently, when users ask Siri questions that involve detailed research or complex topics, the assistant often defers to ChatGPT. Apple introduced this integration with ChatGPT last year as part of its AI enhancements.

Looking ahead, this new tool—sometimes described as an “answer engine”—might also be incorporated into other Apple services like Safari and Spotlight. The plan is to launch this AI-powered web search feature sometime next year.

Despite these developments, Apple has lagged behind competitors like Microsoft and Google, which have significantly advanced their digital assistants with features like Copilot and Gemini. The rising popularity of AI models such as ChatGPT and Perplexity has made the competitive landscape even more challenging for Siri.

Sources suggest that Apple’s new AI web search tool will not only process text queries but also interpret visual inputs. It is expected to include a summarization feature akin to Google’s AI Overviews. Additionally, Apple is working on an advanced upgrade for Siri, often referred to as an “LLM Siri” or “AI brain transplant,” with an anticipated release in 2026.

  • MacBook Pro Upgrade Coming Next Year

MacBook Pro Upgrade Coming Next Year

Remember when the first rumors about an OLED screen upgrade for the MacBook Pro surfaced? It’s been about two years since then. During that time, Apple introduced OLED panels on the iPad Pro but held off on bringing the same technology to its flagship laptops. Now, it appears the wait may finally be coming to an end, possibly next year or shortly thereafter.

According to Bloomberg, a new MacBook Pro with an OLED display is very likely in development and could be available soon. The publication suggests that the revamped model might arrive sometime between late 2026 and early 2027, potentially featuring the upcoming M6 chip.

When Apple unveiled the redesigned MacBook Pro with the notch, speculation was rampant that it would finally transition from LCD to OLED displays. Instead, Apple opted to equip these laptops with mini-LED screens, similar to those on the iPad Pro, providing impressive contrast and brightness but not the true black levels of OLED.

If the reports are accurate, MacBook Pro enthusiasts could be enjoying OLED screens by late 2026 or early 2027. It’s also worth noting that Apple is planning to release several M5-series Macs next year, according to sources, which could affect the timing of the OLED rollout.

Depending on how the launch timeline unfolds, the introduction of the M6 series might be pushed into 2027, unless Apple accelerates its plans to update its lineup within the coming year. While less likely, such a scenario isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Looking ahead, the next-generation MacBook Pro is expected to be more than just an OLED upgrade. Bloomberg has previously reported that Apple plans to redesign the chassis, which could mean a significant overhaul of the device’s look and feel. The company’s approach to the new design could be an exciting development for users eager for a fresh look.

The chip development is already underway under the code name “Komodo,” with the possibility of a future M7 (Borneo) and an even more advanced processor named Sotra. Rumors also suggest that a 5G-enabled version might be on the horizon, incorporating the same kind of cellular tech used in the latest iPhones, specifically the in-house C1 modem present in the iPhone 16e.

In summary, a true revival of the MacBook Pro could be on the horizon, with a stunning OLED display and a sleek new design. With Apple continuously working on new silicon and hardware features, the upcoming models are shaping up to be significant upgrades in both performance and aesthetics.

  • Moonlighter’s 3D Sequel Arrives Next Year

Moonlighter’s 3D Sequel Arrives Next Year

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault | Announcement Trailer

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault was unveiled during the recent PC Gaming Show. This sequel follows up on the beloved 2018 title Moonlighter, where players navigate the dual challenges of dungeon exploration and managing a shop.

The original Moonlighter catapulted developer Digital Sun into the spotlight. Since then, the studio has contributed to titles like The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story and Cataclismo, and now they are returning to their roots with support from 11 bit Studios, who also published the first game and are known for titles like Frostpunk 2. It seems that Moonlighter 2 will stay true to its predecessor’s essence while continuing the journey of Will, the lovable shopkeeper from the original.

The most noticeable changes are the shift to 3D graphics instead of pixel art and a brand-new setting. In Moonlighter 2, Will must rebuild his business in the village of Tresna after it becomes ensnared in a “mysterious dimension.” Players will venture into Vaults to defeat enemies and acquire treasures to sell in Will’s shop, all while searching for a means to escape.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. If you’re curious about additional updates from the PC Gaming Show, the creator of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds also introduced several new titles.
