Serenay Sarıkaya & Mert Demir Return to Istanbul from Paris New Year Trip

Digital Phablet – Serenay Sarıkaya and Mert Demir quietly returned home after their holiday in Paris.

Actress Serenay Sarıkaya and singer Mert Demir are back in Istanbul following their New Year’s getaway to Paris, one of Europe’s prime vacation destinations. Fans spotted the well-known couple arriving at Istanbul Airport, and it’s clear they’ve been making headlines for months.

According to Nazif Şahin Karpuz from Habertürk, Sarıkaya and Demir’s flight was delayed, which resulted in a longer journey and appeared to leave both of them looking a bit worn out. The pair chose not to engage with reporters at the airport; instead, they politely acknowledged the crowd, smiled, and noted, “Thank you, we’re exhausted,” before heading on their way.

Serenay Sarıkaya is among Turkey’s top actresses, renowned for her roles in popular TV series such as Adanalı, Lale Devrі, Medcezir, and Fi. Her experience spans movies, theater, and digital media. She is selective about her projects and generally leads a private life, although her personal relationships often attract media attention.

In recent years, Mert Demir has gained recognition as a singer and musician. His music resonates with many, thanks to heartfelt lyrics and modern production. Known for his chart-topping hits and albums, Demir is a prominent figure in Turkish pop and alternative music. Like Sarıkaya, he values privacy and prefers not to discuss his personal life publicly.

Public curiosity about Serenay Sarıkaya and Mert Demir’s friendship has grown since it became known. Despite the media attention and speculation, the couple remains committed to maintaining their privacy, rarely revealing details about their personal lives or whereabouts, including their trips abroad. Their recent New Year visit to Paris was one such instance.

Their smooth return to Istanbul underscores their grounded nature—they’d rather stay out of the limelight than seek media exposure. Even in casual public encounters, such as at the airport, they remain courteous and reserved.

Both continue to focus on their careers—Serenay on her acting endeavors and Mert on his music—yet they remain one of the most discussed couples in Turkish entertainment. For now, they seem content to quietly settle back into their routines, valuing rest over public attention after the holiday festivities.

Dubai Files 2.8M Passengers During 2026 New Year Celebrations

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) reported that over 2.8 million passengers used public transportation, taxis, ride-hailing services, and shared mobility options during the New Year’s Eve celebrations in 2026, reflecting a growth of more than 13% compared to the previous year.

This increase was achieved through a comprehensive traffic management plan that involved temporary road closures and traffic control measures across the emirate. The plan was coordinated with Dubai’s Event Security Committee, government agencies, and key partners, according to the RTA.

On New Year’s Eve, more than 2.83 million people utilized various transit modes: the Dubai Metro’s Red and Green lines served approximately 1.25 million commuters, the Dubai Tram transported nearly 58,000, public buses and on-demand bus services moved over 503,000 passengers, and taxis carried about 662,000 individuals.

Marine transportation services handled nearly 77,000 travelers, while ride-hailing vehicles facilitated approximately 286,000 trips. Shared mobility services transported roughly 1,500 passengers.

The RTA emphasized that the traffic approach ensured the safe and seamless movement of the crowd to and from celebration zones, underscoring Dubai’s ability to manage large-scale events efficiently and in accordance with international standards.

  • AT&T Welcomes New Year With Price Hike For Some Customers

AT&T Welcomes New Year With Price Hike For Some Customers

Happy New Year! AT&T is kicking off 2025 with a rate hike affecting some of its customers.

As reported by Android Authority, subscribers to AT&T FirstNet will notice an increase of $3 per line in their monthly bills. This adjustment has been officially confirmed on AT&T’s website.

AT&T FirstNet is a specialized wireless broadband network tailored for first responders and public safety personnel across the United States, developed in collaboration with the federal government.

The telecom giant claims that this price adjustment is necessary to “continue delivering the excellent wireless service you expect.”

Customers who activated their service after April 15 will not feel the impact of this price rise until they’ve completed nine months with the service. During this time, they will receive a monthly credit of $3 to help offset the future increase.

Historically, AT&T FirstNet subscribers have enjoyed some of the lowest rates in the industry. However, with this recent change, their monthly charges will go up from $45 to $48, representing an approximate 7% increase.

This is likely not the only price increase that AT&T, the second-largest wireless carrier in the U.S., will implement in the coming year. Over the course of 2024, at least three price hikes were noted, including a $10 per line increase for customers on select older unlimited plans, which was announced in June.

Verizon, the leading carrier in the nation, and T-Mobile, the third-largest, also implemented price increases last year.

FirstNet service is available to numerous public safety agencies and personnel, such as law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical services (EMS), and healthcare professionals, among others.
