    India’s Coast Guard and Navy are continuing search-and-rescue efforts off the eastern coast following the sinking of a Panama-flagged cargo ship carrying 24 crew members. Two Chinese nationals have been rescued so far, according to a senior official.

    The two rescued Chinese seafarers mentioned that the ship developed a list on Friday and sank within eight minutes, which compelled the crew to evacuate quickly, said Shyam Jagannathan, director general of India’s Maritime Administration.

    Jagannathan noted that the chances of locating survivors decrease significantly after 12 hours but emphasized that rescue operations are ongoing.

    Twenty-two crew members are still missing from the Ocean Winner. The missing include 18 Chinese nationals, three from Myanmar, and one from Bangladesh, according to the Indian Coast Guard.

    The Indian Navy is coordinating closely with the Coast Guard to find the remaining crew members. A Navy spokesperson stated that two vessels have been dispatched from Sri Vijaya Puram (formerly Port Blair) for rescue efforts.

    The Ocean Winner was transporting iron ore destined for China after departing from India’s eastern Paradip port on Friday, based on initial reports from India’s Maritime Administration.

    The ship sank roughly 240 nautical miles from Paradip, as per government sources.

    The cause of the sinking remains unknown at this time.

    The Grapple is found in the third biome, called Shattered Descent. To unlock it, you’ll need to defeat Bastion first. After that, follow the main path until you reach another Soltari station. As part of the main objectives, you’ll have to interact with a series of consoles outside, which will reward you with the Grapple. Once acquired, it becomes a permanent part of your inventory.

    ### How to Use the Grapple

    The most noticeable benefit of the Grapple is that it allows you to reach any platform marked with a blue light. You can also use it to latch onto stationary drones, which helps you access new areas or collect items that would otherwise be out of reach. This tool can also be useful for progressing through later parts of the game’s biomes.

    Another important feature of the Grapple is that you’re shielded while using it, making you temporarily invincible. This means you can grapple onto platforms or drones even during combat, avoiding enemy projectiles and attacks. In some arenas, including boss fights, you can use the Grapple to move through enemy attacks safely.

    You should take advantage of this mechanic whenever possible. It has a very short cooldown, so you can activate it multiple times without much delay, giving you a strategic edge during fights and exploration.

Experts indicate that the disruption in satellite navigation signals since US-Israeli strikes has prevented around 1,000 ships in the Gulf and Gulf of Oman from accurately pinpointing their locations—either temporarily or continuously. According to Dimitris Ampatzidis, a senior analyst at energy market intelligence firm Kpler, this figure accounts for nearly half of the vessels in that region, most of which are situated off the coasts of the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

    Satellite navigation relies on a network of satellites transmitting timing signals that allow devices to calculate precise locations. While smartphones now receive signals from four different global navigation satellite systems—American, European (Galileo), Russian (GLONASS), and Chinese (BeiDou)—most ships still primarily listen to the original civilian GPS L1 C/A signal that has been in use since the early 1990s. This makes them vulnerable because they don’t tap into newer, more robust GNSS signals like BeiDou or Galileo, leaving them at risk if GPS signals are jammed.

    The situation is even more severe for aircraft, as aviation regulations typically restrict built-in GPS receivers to only the L1 C/A signal, which is outdated by about 15 years. Jamming this signal is relatively simple; it involves broadcasting a stronger radio signal on the same frequency, creating a “wall of mush” that disrupts navigation. Spoofing, a more advanced threat, manipulates the ship’s Automatic Identification System (AIS). This system transmits a ship’s identity, destination, and position once every second. Spoofing this data can cause ships to appear on land in Iran or the UAE, creating dangerous navigational errors.

    GPS signals serve multiple purposes beyond determining location—they also synchronize onboard clocks and power radar systems, speed logs, and other critical instruments. Even if the vessels are protected from drone attacks and escorted through critical areas like the Strait of Hormuz, operating without GPS is highly risky. Due to the large size of cargo ships, electronic navigation aids have become essential. When GPS is unavailable, crews are forced to revert to outdated tools such as radar and visual landmarks.

    Both offensive and defensive jamming methods are being used in the Gulf region. Countries are intentionally targeting their own coastal areas to defend against Iranian satellite-guided drones, even if it hampers their own operations. Similar tactics were employed by Israel in 2024 and by Iran during its recent conflict with Israel last year. Even if this causes disruptions to air traffic, shipping, or everyday mobile services, nations deem it an acceptable trade-off to maintain security.

    To address these vulnerabilities, startups are developing alternative navigation technologies that leverage Earth’s magnetic field or inertial systems. However, widespread adoption for maritime navigation that bypasses satellite GPS is still in the future. For now, ships continue to rely heavily on GPS, making the disruption a serious concern for global trade and regional security.

In the background area of the canvas, you’ll find many Gestrals playing and having fun. Some are a little mischievous too—one even lost their pirate ship in a tidal wave by the waterfall.

    Learning About The Missing Pirate Ship

    Many of the Gestrals in Verso’s Drafts tend to stay close together in a few spots. You can find this group of pretend pirates south of the diving board mini-game, near the seesaw mini-game as well. They are two small Gestrals and one larger one, huddled in the water near dry land.

    When you talk to them, they say they’re on a treasure hunt. But in reality, it’s more like a rescue mission. They were playing with their toy pirate ship, and because the big Gestral didn’t realize how strong they were, they made big waves. These waves caused the ship to go flying down the water—and it’s now lost to the Gestrals.

    Finding The Missing Pirate Ship

    After chatting with the Gestrals, even though they don’t know where the pirate ship is, they give an important clue: the ship fell down the waterfall after being caught by the waves.

    There is another waterfall just south of that spot. Follow it and step down into the shallow pool of water in front of it. You won’t find the ship there—unless you look behind the waterfall.

    Behind the waterfall, you might spot some hidden items. Every game has a secret cave behind a waterfall, and Clair Obscur’s version is in Verso’s Drafts. The toy pirate ship is quite large, so once you enter the cave, you won’t miss it.

    After you retrieve the ship, go back to the Gestrals. They’ll be thrilled and will reward you with a piece of birthday cake.

    In Arc Raiders, very few survivors remain outside of Speranza. Every survivor you find helps increase humanity’s numbers against the machines. Protecting humanity is always the main goal, so it’s important to follow leads when new raiders are spotted.

    Apollo will contact you to find a family interested in settling in Speranza. You’ll need to search the Buried City for them. The quest is tough because the guidelines aren’t marked on your map, but we’ll help you locate the target and return safely. Here’s what you should know.

    Where to Find the Abandoned Highway Outpost

    Go to the Buried City and aim for the broken highway on the far west side of the map, a few clicks south. The camp is set up on the remains of the highway, so use a zipline or a grappling hook to get there quickly. Once on the highway, follow it all the way to the outpost.

    While the family is no longer there, you should search the backpack on the ground for clues. Inside, look for a red marker—similar to the ones Tian Wen points out in her quests. These red ribbons are your next clues.

    How to Follow the Red Markers

    The markers are placed on posts and cars along the highway. Follow them carefully to stay on the trail. Continue along the entire highway until you reach the final break, where it dips into the sands of the buried residences. From here, the trail gets harder to follow.

    At the end of the broken highway, head north following the red markers into the heart of the buried residences. After climbing the sand mound, turn southeast to complete your journey.

    How to Complete “A Warm Place to Rest”

    In the ruins of the buried residences, you’ll find a shallow grave. Examine it to finish the mission and then extract quickly. The nearby Eastern Metro Station is a good escape route if it’s still open. Once back in Speranza, talk to Apollo about what you discovered.

    While the family is gone, searching the grave will give you clues. After examining it, you’ll find a recovered item, and your goal is to extract swiftly. The grave area provides a nearby escape route, making it easier to return promptly.

    More Survivors and Rewards

    It’s unfortunate that the family didn’t survive, but more survivors are out there. As a reward for your efforts, Apollo will give you three noisemakers, five blue light sticks, a rosary, and a new cosmetic color. Even if the mission was tough, these rewards help keep you going.
