  • Louvre to Install Anti-Ramming Barriers by Year-End, Says Minister

Louvre to Install Anti-Ramming Barriers by Year-End, Says Minister

On Friday, France’s culture minister announced that anti-ramming devices will be installed around the Louvre Museum by the end of the year, following a high-profile theft that has renewed concerns about security at the iconic site.

The plan comes after four suspects used a truck equipped with a hydraulic lift to breach a first-floor gallery during operating hours on October 19. They then used cutting tools to steal jewelry valued at approximately $102 million.

After reviewing an initial security assessment, Culture Minister Rachida Dati emphasized the urgency of implementing immediate measures. She stated, “For over two decades, there has been a long-standing underestimation of intrusion and theft risks at the Louvre. We cannot afford to continue like this.”

The report highlighted issues such as outdated security equipment and ineffective intrusion response protocols. Dati noted that while the museum’s internal security systems functioned properly on the day of the theft, significant security weaknesses exist outside the building.

To address some of these vulnerabilities, “anti-ramming” and “anti-intrusion” barriers are set to be installed before the year’s end, though details remain limited. Last week, Louvre Director Laurence des Cars mentioned that the first of several “anti-ramming” barriers was already being put in place outside the museum.

Authorities have arrested seven individuals in connection with the robbery, with two charged with theft and conspiracy. However, the stolen items, which include an emerald and diamond necklace once gifted by Napoleon I to his wife Empress Marie-Louise, and a nearly 2,000-diamond diadem that belonged to Empress Eugenie, have yet to be recovered.

Will Sherine Abdel Wahab Attend the Grand Egyptian Museum Opening?

Rumors spread on social media suggesting that Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab will participate in the grand opening of the Egyptian Museum on November 1st. The reports caused mixed reactions; some supporters saw her presence at the museum’s opening concert as a perfect opportunity for her to make a comeback and rebuild her confidence.

Inside the museum, visuals shared on social media showed the impressive interior, fueling excitement among fans. Conversely, a segment of her followers expressed skepticsm about her ability to perform at her best, citing the personal struggles she faced recently, including mental health challenges during her marriage and divorce with Egyptian star Hussam Habib.

Nevertheless, reliable sources informed Erem News that these rumors are unfounded. They confirmed that Sherine Abdel Wahab’s name was not on the guest list for the event. The official preparations for the opening event are actively underway, scheduled from November 1st to 3rd, with the museum opening to the public on November 4th.

Images promoting the upcoming opening featured Sherine Abdel Wahab, shared from her social media, reinforcing the anticipation for the museum’s launch.

  • Two Suspects Nabbed in Louvre Jewelry Theft

Two Suspects Nabbed in Louvre Jewelry Theft

French officials have announced the detention of two suspects believed to be involved in the theft of valuable crown jewels from the Louvre, an audacious robbery that captivated global attention. Authorities reported deploying a hundred investigators to apprehend those responsible for the daylight heist on October 19, during which they made off with jewelry valued at approximately $102 million within minutes.

Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau confirmed that the arrests occurred Saturday evening, with sources close to the investigation revealing to AFP that one of the suspects was about to depart from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. She further stated that one individual was preparing to fly to Algeria. The second suspect was detained shortly thereafter in the Paris area. Both suspects are being held on charges of organized theft and conspiracy.

During the break-in, the perpetrators used a stolen moving truck’s extendable ladder to access a first-floor gallery. They cut into the display with specialized tools, dropping a diamond and emerald-encrusted crown as they fled on scooters. Despite the chaos, they managed to steal additional pieces, including a necklace adorned with emeralds and diamonds, which historically was a gift from Napoleon Bonaparte to his wife, Empress Marie-Louise.

The daring theft has sparked widespread media coverage and ignited discussions in France about the vulnerability of cultural sites. The Louvre’s director acknowledged that the criminals exploited a blind spot in the museum’s external security camera coverage. However, law enforcement utilized other security footage from public and private cameras across Paris and neighboring regions to track the suspects. Investigators also collected multiple DNA samples and fingerprints from the scene.

This incident marks the latest in a series of art and artifact thefts across France. Less than a day after the Louvre heist, reports arose of a regional museum in eastern France that was burglarized, with thieves smashing a display case and escaping with gold and silver coins. In another recent case, the Natural History Museum in Paris was broken into last month, with thieves stealing gold nuggets worth over $1.5 million. A Chinese woman has been detained and charged in connection with that theft.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviews scale model of the Dubai Arts Museum (DUMA). — Dubai government

Dubai is gearing up to introduce another iconic feature to its skyline—an attraction that will float on water.

The Dubai Arts Museum (DUMA), announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s vice president and prime minister, and Dubai’s ruler, is planned to be built on an island at the center of Dubai Creek.

Unlike traditional museums fixed on land, DUMA’s design integrates the creek’s waters into its architecture. Designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the project seeks to blend sleek modernism with Dubai’s lively cultural scene.

Sheikh Mohammed called the project “a reflection of Dubai’s artistic soul and cultural spirit,” underscoring its importance in fostering the city’s creative scene.

Positioned on the creek, DUMA isn’t just a museum; it’s a bold statement of Dubai’s desire to redefine how art interacts with urban environments.

The development is a joint effort between the government and private enterprise, with Emirati businessman Abdullah Al Futtaim and his son Omar leading the initiative. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted their role as “a shining example of how private business can significantly contribute to Dubai’s cultural and creative economy.”

The museum will feature both modern and classic artworks, with architecture designed to function as a welcoming public space, a scenic promenade, and a cultural hub where residents and visitors can enjoy unique views of Dubai Creek.

Construction is expected to start later this year, with a timeline to complete the project within three years.

  • Louvre Returns to Public After Major Jewel Heist

Louvre Returns to Public After Major Jewel Heist

The Louvre Museum in Paris reopened to visitors on Wednesday, three days after closing due to the theft of valuable royal jewelry, an AFP journalist observed.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. GMT), the museum’s doors opened for the first time since the incident, although the Apollo Gallery—where the theft took place on Sunday—remains closed. Despite the security breach, the museum’s main halls buzzed with activity once again.

The daring daylight heist unfolded shortly after the museum’s opening on Sunday and resulted in estimated losses of approximately 88 million euros ($102 million). The Paris prosecutor described the theft as “unmatched,” yet it pales in comparison to the damage inflicted on France’s cultural heritage.

Investigators are actively pursuing leads, operating under the assumption that an organized crime group used a ladder on a truck to access the building, during which they dropped a diamond-studded crown as they fled the scene. They managed to steal eight priceless artifacts, including an emerald and diamond necklace once gifted by Napoleon I to Empress Marie-Louise, and a diadem once owned by Empress Eugenie, adorned with nearly 2,000 diamonds.

On the day following the theft, disappointed tourists were turned away at the museum’s entrance, and it remained closed on Tuesday in accordance with its usual schedule. However, by Wednesday, visitors were welcomed back amid a sense of relief.

One visitor named Fanny, who traveled from southern France with her daughter, expressed her wishes: “We really hoped it would be open. We had booked for today, and we wouldn’t have had another chance to come.”

With nine million visitors last year, the Louvre remains the world’s most visited museum, renowned for its extensive collection of art and historical artifacts.

The theft has reignited debates over the security measures within French museums, especially after two other institutions were targeted last month. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez stated that the investigation “is advancing,” with over a hundred law enforcement officials involved.

He also expressed confidence: “I am certain we will identify the perpetrators.”

Museum director Laurence des Cars has not publicly commented since the incident but is scheduled to testify before the Senate’s culture committee later Wednesday. Des Cars, who broke a glass ceiling as the first woman to lead the Louvre in 2021, is expected to be questioned about the security protocols at the Apollo Gallery, which houses the royal jewelry collection.

In response to criticism that the display cases used to protect the stolen jewelry were fragile, the museum asserted that they were upgraded in 2019 and that security has significantly improved since then.

  • Latest in Museum Heists: The Most Unique Robbery Cases

Latest in Museum Heists: The Most Unique Robbery Cases

The recent theft at the Louvre in Paris marks the latest in a series of high-profile museum robberies targeting priceless art and artifacts.

Previously, the most infamous incident was the 1911 theft of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Initial suspicions pointed to poet Guillaume Apollinaire and artist Pablo Picasso, but the real culprit was Vincenzo Perugia, an Italian glazier familiar with the museum’s layout. He concealed the masterpiece in his Paris residence for two years before trying to sell it to a dealer in Florence. The plan failed, resulting in Perugia serving seven months in jail.

In 1972, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts was robbed during a holiday break. Three masked thieves exploited a temporarily deactivated skylight—usually alarmed but unmonitored during repairs—and stole 18 artworks, including pieces attributed to Rembrandt, Brueghel the Elder, Rubens, and Romantic artists like Corot and Delacroix. Only one artwork and a piece of jewelry have been recovered so far.

Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum faced a dramatic heist in 1990 when two masked men impersonating police officers tricked staff and stole 13 masterpieces, including works by Degas, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Manet. The stolen collection is valued at over half a billion dollars and remains missing despite a reward offer.

In 2003, a thief with expertise in security systems pilfered Benvenuto Cellini’s “Salt Cellar,” a golden sculpture from Vienna’s Museum of Fine Arts. The thief used scaffolding from ongoing renovations to access the piece, which was later found nearly intact in a forest near Vienna after he demanded a ransom. The perpetrator was sentenced to five years in prison.

Oslo’s Munch Museum was targeted in 2004 when two armed robbers, disguised in masks, snatched “The Scream” and “Madonna” in just 50 seconds before escaping. These works were later recovered damaged, with three individuals convicted.

Paris’s Museum of Modern Art lost five valuable works in 2010, including pieces by Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Modigliani, and Leger, during a security breach exploited by a thief who intended only to steal a Leger painting but took advantage of system failures to pick up multiple artworks. The thief was sentenced to eight years.

Germany’s Dresden Castle’s Green Vault was robbed in 2019, with jewels valued at over €113 million stolen. Although much of the treasure was recovered, some items, including a diamond-encrusted sword, are still missing, and five criminals involved in the heist were convicted in 2023.

  • Bosnian Jewish Community Raises Funds for Gaza Amid Heritage Preservation

Bosnian Jewish Community Raises Funds for Gaza Amid Heritage Preservation

Bosnia’s national museum has defended their decision to donate proceeds from displaying a treasured Jewish manuscript to aid the people of Gaza. The museum announced that ticket revenue from viewing the Sarajevo Haggadah, a priceless medieval religious manuscript, would be donated to support Palestinians suffering from what they described as “systematic, calculated, and cold-blooded terror” carried out by Israel.

This move faced swift backlash earlier this month, with Jewish organizations abroad condemning what they called the politicization of a symbol of heritage and coexistence. However, museum director Mirsad Sijaric, 55, reiterated his support for the decision and shared that he had received many messages of support from Jewish individuals worldwide.

“Yes, we chose a side,” Sijaric stated to AFP. The museum’s donation will also include sales from a book about the Haggadah. Sijaric emphasized that the action was not an attack on Jewish people but a stand against the violence occurring in Gaza. “Pretending to be neutral is siding with evil. In my opinion, this is pure evil, and it must be opposed.”

The Haggadah’s illuminated parchment pages, dating back to around 1350, depict the creation of the world and the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Originally produced near Barcelona, the manuscript was brought to Sarajevo by Jews expelled from Spain in 1492. Remarkably, it survived Nazi occupation and was preserved through intense shelling during the Bosnian War in the 1990s.

Jewish community leader Jakob Finci found the decision “bizarre” and “a bit offensive,” arguing that it tarnishes Sarajevo’s reputation and undermines the Haggadah’s role as a symbol of Sarajevo’s diverse and multiethnic character. The Haggadah, stored securely in a glass case in a specially designed room, continues to be a testament to the city’s multicultural fabric, which includes nearly a thousand Jewish residents.

The museum’s leadership acknowledges the controversy, with Sijaric stating, “I’ve heard a lot of criticism… but no praise.” The manuscript has been more accessible since a 2018 renovation funded by France, and it remains a significant attraction for visitors and scholars alike.

Some visitors see the gesture as a way to show solidarity with Palestinians. Italian Egyptologist Silvia Einaudi commented, “I think it’s a way to support Palestinians in Gaza.” French visitor Paul Hellec added, “Gaza, why not? It’s a difficult topic right now, but many other places are suffering too.”

The Gaza conflict was ignited in October 2023 when Hamas launched an attack on Israel, resulting in over 1,200 civilian deaths. The situation remains dire, with ongoing hostilities and a high number of casualties on both sides. Due to restrictions and access issues in Gaza, the exact figures are difficult to verify independently.

    • Student-led protests resulted in the overthrow of Hasina’s government on August 5, 2024.
    • The former prime minister fled to India after protesters seized control of the Dhaka palace.
    • Sheikh Hasina, aged 77, has refused to comply with court orders to attend her ongoing trial.

Dhaka: The once heavily guarded residence of Bangladesh’s ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is being transformed into a museum, serving as a lasting reminder of her authoritarian tenure.

Images capturing crowds celebrating with flags atop the Dhaka palace following Hasina’s helicopter escape to India marked the height of student-led protests that toppled her administration on August 5, 2024.

A year later, amidst ongoing political chaos in Bangladesh’s population of approximately 170 million, officials hope that the expansive Ganabhaban palace will serve as a message to future generations.

Graffiti condemning her regime remains untouched on the walls, with messages such as “Freedom” and “We want justice” still visible.

Hasina’s leadership was characterized by widespread human rights violations, including mass detentions and extrajudicial killings of political opponents. The United Nations estimates that up to 1,400 individuals were killed during July and August 2024 as she desperately clung to power.

Despite being summoned, Sheikh Hasina continues to defy court orders to appear at her trial on charges related to crimes against humanity, which she denies.

Another slogan—“Killer Hasina”—appears among the remnants of her legacy, protected for posterity.

Muhammad Yunus, 85, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate leading the caretaker government until the 2026 elections, stated that converting the palace into a museum would “preserve memories of her misrule and the people’s anger as they removed her from power.”

A symbol of trauma and suffering

Mosfiqur Rahman Johan, 27, a rights activist and documentary photographer, was among the thousands who stormed the opulent palace, recounting how crowds danced in her private chambers, feasted from the palace kitchens, and swam in the lake she once used for fishing.

“It will visualize and symbolize the past trauma, the pain and the resistance,” he said.

“Ganabhaban is a symbol of fascism, representing an autocratic regime.”

Constructed by Sheikh Hasina’s father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman—the founding leader of Bangladesh—the palace served as her official residence during her 15-year rule.

Tanzim Wahab, the museum’s curator-in-progress, told AFP that exhibits would include artifacts of those killed during protests. Personal stories will be shared through photographs and films, while plaques will list the names of individuals slain by security forces during her lengthy regime.

“The museum’s deeper purpose is to reflect on years of misrule and oppression,” Wahab explained. “That’s one of the most critical aspects of this project.”

The museum will feature interactive displays, animations, and documentation of the cramped detention cells where her opponents were held in inhumane conditions.

“We want young people to engage with this as a platform to discuss democracy, fresh ideas, and how to build a new Bangladesh,” Wahab added.

    A symbol of dictatorship

This initiative aligns with interim leader Muhammad Yunus’s efforts to strengthen democratic institutions before the elections—although progress has been slow amid political infighting, according to Human Rights Watch, which issued a warning ahead of the revolution’s anniversary.

“The interim government seems stuck, managing an unreformed security sector, sometimes-violent religious hardliners, and political factions more interested in revenge than protecting citizens’ rights,” HRW said.

While the palace is preserved as a historical site, many other symbols of Hasina’s rule have been dismantled. Statues honoring her father have been toppled, and portraits of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman were shredded or set ablaze.

Protesters even used excavators to demolish the house of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman—turned into a museum by Hasina—symbolizing a rejection of her legacy.

“When dictatorship falls, its remains must go too,” said Muhibullah Al Mashnun, a 23-year-old student involved in tearing down the house.

He believes removing these symbols is essential for Bangladesh’s progress toward a better future, calling them “statues of dictatorship.”

  • Essential Tips for Launching Your Two Point Museum Experience

Essential Tips for Launching Your Two Point Museum Experience

Running a museum isn’t just about showcasing intriguing exhibits; it requires a great deal of effort, especially in Two Point Museum, where you’ll manage a range of specialized museums throughout the game.

With themes like space, the supernatural, and many others, you’ll have a lot to juggle in Two Point Museum, which can feel daunting at first. However, by curating a diverse array of exhibits, decorating thoughtfully, and hiring a few experts, you’ll quickly get your museum flourishing.

    Optimize Exhibit Placement

While variety is essential, organization is key! Just like real-life museums, it’s crucial to group similar exhibits together to enhance visitor satisfaction. As your museums expand, ensure that guests can easily navigate between related exhibits, allowing them to enjoy more of what your establishment has to offer.

Start by constructing rooms designated for specific types of exhibits, incorporating walking paths, decor, and convenience stations like bathrooms or snack machines. This way, when guests enter a room filled with familiar themes, they’ll enjoy themselves more and may even be inclined to donate on their way out.

When placing information stands and decorations, consider the directional arrows shown in the game, which indicate which exhibits will be influenced by those items. The more exhibits you can cluster around items that boost buzz or knowledge, the more effective your placements will be.

    Promote Your Museum

While word of mouth is helpful, one of the most effective ways to increase visitor numbers is to launch targeted marketing campaigns for your museum. With your marketing-trained staff, you can run different campaigns aimed at various types of visitors over specific periods to draw them in.

Marketing campaigns will cost money, but they can significantly boost attendance. More sophisticated campaigns might raise the likelihood of certain visitors coming in by as much as 50%, making them worthwhile—especially after you’ve refreshed your museum or added new attractions.

    Constantly Send Out Expeditions

Having a well-organized museum means little if visitors don’t have enough exhibits to explore. Museums lacking in items will not only attract fewer guests but also struggle to maintain high satisfaction ratings. Thus, it’s essential to regularly dispatch staff on expeditions to acquire new pieces for display.

You can send staff from the helipad located behind the museum to explore different areas, providing the necessary team members and supplies. Expeditions vary in length, with longer ones offering greater experience for your staff, enabling further development in their roles.

Although enhancing existing exhibits and their zones is beneficial, visitors expect a lot of variety for their admission fee. The more exhibits you offer, the longer guests will stay, increasing the chances of donations or purchases before they leave.

Ensure Staff Training From The Start

After expeditions, staff will gain valuable experience, so monitor their progress and aim to send those close to leveling up. Filling their experience meter unlocks an extra trait slot, allowing them to expand their abilities.

Regular training helps staff acquire additional traits throughout their tenure. Experts can enhance skills relevant to expeditions, while customer service personnel can refine their interaction skills. Keep track of individual progress and encourage training whenever opportunities arise.

Keep An Eye On Expedition Risks

Adventure is part of the expedition experience, so it’s vital to consider potential risks before assigning teams. Preparing appropriately by selecting staff skilled in unique areas—like flying for sky-bound trips—can help navigate potential hazards smoothly.

Your crew may encounter unexpected events during their journeys, requiring your input on how to proceed. Careful decisions can yield favorable outcomes, but remember that poor choices may lead to setbacks.

    Cater To Younger Guests

While adult visitors make up a significant portion of guests, children often accompany them. Engaging young visitors with interactive displays and special zones will make their experience more enjoyable.

To create appealing areas for children, consider adding more engaging items. Items like plush toys or themed gifts can attract kids and their guardians, boosting potential sales.

    Manage Ghosts Effectively

In the Wailon Lodge museum, you’ll likely capture ghosts during your expeditions, which can be both exhibits and guests. It’s important to cater to their needs to prevent any disturbances.

Be mindful of the decor in ghost rooms to keep your spectral guests content, as their preferences vary by historical period. Keeping them satisfied not only avoids issues but enhances visitor experiences when they interact with these haunted displays.

    Strengthen Security Measures

As your museum becomes more popular, the likelihood of encountering thieves increases. Ensure you have adequate security systems in place to monitor the premises and catch potential criminals in the act.

Security personnel are also crucial for emptying donation boxes, ensuring that guests can contribute without obstruction. The more protective measures you implement, the better your chances of safeguarding valuable collections.

    Leverage Sponsorships

For immediate financial gains, consider partnering with sponsors to showcase specific exhibits in return for monetary support. These deals can enrich the museum’s offerings while providing extra revenue.

However, weigh the potential downsides, as sponsored displays can sometimes compromise visitor experiences. Strategically choose where to place these exhibits to mitigate any adverse effects.

    Use Kudosh Thoughtfully

Kudosh serves as a premium currency in Two Point Museum, allowing you to unlock extra items. These are available alongside the standard cash transactions you perform, so keep an eye out for opportunities to spend responsibly.

Once you buy access to an item with Kudosh, remember that you’ll still need to purchase it with regular cash for placement in your museum. Be strategic to maximize the benefits this currency offers.

Stay Informed about Point of Interest Unlocks

As you embark on expeditions, familiarize yourself with the unlock goals associated with Points of Interest (POIs) on the maps. Advancing key milestones will open new opportunities for exploration, allowing you to access deeper locations on the maps.

Keeping track of specific unlock goals will help your gameplay, ensuring you stay on top of necessary achievements while enjoying the game’s expedition features.

    Don’t Overlook Botany

Although it may not have its designated museum, Botany is an important skill to develop. Many POIs will require botany expertise, and neglecting this can hold up your progress.

Botanical knowledge is also needed to maintain exhibits, which provide resources for your workshop. Monitor plant needs for climate conditions to support your gardens effectively and ensure that botany experts are on hand for maintenance.

    Monitor Buzz Levels

Buzz is a key factor in your museum’s success; patrons won’t feel inclined to donate if they find exhibits lackluster. Understanding how to enhance your exhibit’s Buzz score is essential since visitors prioritize high Buzz content.

To boost Buzz effectively, engage with exhibits that offer Buzz bonuses. Consider the underlying factors that contribute to the overall Buzz score for each exhibit to optimize your museum’s appeal.

By being attentive to these strategies and techniques, you’ll create a thriving institution that delights your visitors and secures its spot in the spotlight!

  • Top Strategies for Earning Staff XP in Two Point Museum

Top Strategies for Earning Staff XP in Two Point Museum

Your employees are the heart and soul of Two Point Museum. Without them, exhibits would deteriorate, thieves could easily steal items, and the museum would quickly fall into disarray. While having a sufficient number of staff is crucial to manage your expanding museum, it’s equally important that your long-term employees are skilled and trained to work efficiently. To achieve this, they need to advance and increase their Rank.

In Two Point Museum, your staff members gain experience points (XP) slowly, so if you want to unlock their next skill slot more quickly, here are some effective strategies to speed up their progress.

    Maximize Staff Productivity

Your staff earns XP gradually every time they complete tasks in the museum. Whether they are selling tickets, cleaning facilities, analyzing artifacts, or performing any job-related duty, they accumulate XP. Therefore, you can boost their growth by ensuring they work more and spend less time walking around or waiting.

The most efficient way for staff to gain XP is to have them work with their assigned project devices, such as a Deconstructor, Workstation, Marketing Desk, or Camera Booth. These tools provide a steady stream of XP instead of just a small amount with each guest interaction.

Make sure you have the right number of staff in each role to cover all stations without having extra employees who aren’t busy. For instance, if you have two Ticket Booths but only need one, reduce it to one and assign the other assistant to a different task. This lets the ticket seller serve a constant flow of guests, earning XP consistently rather than having both assistants handle the queue quickly and then experience idle time.

However, keep in mind that employees do need breaks eventually, and you should also ensure you have enough staff available for Expeditions. Overworking your team could lead to resignations, costing you both the investment in their training and the XP they’ve earned.

    Harness the Power of Expeditions

Expeditions can take your staff away from the museum for extended periods, sometimes lasting months. However, they offer a significant XP bonus to anyone who returns safely. Before sending your staff on these journey, make sure they possess enough skills for the more challenging Expeditions. Once your employees reach around Rank 10, Expeditions will be the most efficient way to gain XP.

Consider bringing along the XP-dition Journal, which boosts the total XP earned by your team by fifteen percent. Just be sure you don’t need other items for the trip!

You can also utilize Expeditions to help lower-Rank employees improve their skills. Allow them to accompany higher-Rank staff on challenging missions, benefiting from the seasoned members’ experience to navigate dangerous events. You can also use Rank Cheese to count your group’s total Rank as ten higher, which can help when facing extreme challenges.

    Special Locations for Staff XP

Each map features a unique location that can provide XP to Experts tied to that map’s theme, allowing them to level up faster. Some locations may require the Expert to be at least Rank 5 before they can visit. This helps in getting them to Rank 10, equipping them for advanced Expeditions or ensuring they can maintain things properly at home.

The After-Life Academy in the Netherworld offers several hundred XP per visit to any staff member, regardless of class. However, each course costs $25,000, so while it might be the fastest way to boost a character’s level, it can significantly deplete your museum’s funds unless you’re generating substantial income.

Understanding the Importance of Staff Rank

When staff members embark on an Expedition, their total Rank determines which events may occur. Additionally, some locations are only accessible to those with sufficient experience.

A character’s Rank is also crucial because it allows access to additional Skill slots. Although Rank itself doesn’t influence daily tasks, having more Skills can greatly enhance their efficiency in specific areas. Each character begins with one Skill slot and earns another for every five Ranks they achieve.

These Skill slots can be filled by having the employees train in the Training Room. Keep in mind that studying does not yield additional XP, so you can’t gain twice from the same effort. Furthermore, obtaining new Skills will increase their salary expectations, making them less tolerant of subpar conditions until they receive a raise.

    Stylishly Dressed Five

Have 5 visiting children wearing different themed onesies at the same time.

This may be easiest in sandbox mode, where theming isn’t as crucial. You’ll need to set up various onesie stands in your gift shop, each with different themed onesies. Guardians can buy them for their kids, and this achievement unlocks as soon as the fifth child dons a unique themed onesie.

    Plant Food

Have a guest interact with a Chomper Pit exhibit.

Your guests won’t suffer harm from the Chomper Pit, nor does it appear to impact their museum experience.

    Fully Designed Contraption

Work on enhancing your custom contraptions at Bungle Wasteland to elevate their level.

    Expert Opinion

Max out a staff member’s training.

    All for All

Show an exhibit from 6 different themes in one museum.

Place one exhibit from each of six museums into your inventory and display them all in one location to unlock this achievement (and likely confuse some visitors).

    Mega Museum

    Achieve a level 50 museum.

Continue adding well-decorated and informative exhibits to your museums, especially in sandbox mode where it’s simpler to fit multiple items within a space.

    Name Game

Give a fish exhibit a custom name.

After constructing an aquarium in your marine life museum or sandbox mode, click on it to access a menu where you can change the aquarium’s name.

    Map Explorer

Unlock 25 expedition points of interest (POIs).

When sending your staff on expeditions, choose a location to send them called Points of Interest, or POIs. As you train your staff and unlock new areas, you’ll reveal more of these locations. Unlock access to 25 unique POIs to achieve this trophy—regardless of which museums they belong to.

    Tour de Force

    Create a 5-star tour.

Set up a tour stand designated for your museum, allowing chosen staff members to conduct guided tours for visitors seeking insights into the exhibits. These tours are rated by quality, so aim to create the best experience possible to earn this achievement.

    Healing Journey

Heal an injury or illness by sending staff to Remedial Springs.

When staff return from expeditions, they may bring back treasures but could also be injured. For those who need a little extra care, send them to Remedial Springs for quicker healing to unlock this trophy.

    Perked Up

Add 3 perks to a single exhibit.

Exhibits possess varying numbers of perk slots based on their rarity, and more slots mean you can enhance exhibits further. Finding one that can accommodate three perks requires excellent quality finds from expeditions, but think of the excitement it will generate!

    Straight to Jail

Apprehend a thief stealing an exhibit.

Having solid security will be essential, but you can catch thieves in the act if you see them taking your exhibits. Ensure you have a security guard—either human or robotic—on hand to capture the thief.

    Byte at the Museum

Employ 10 Robo-staff members (Janitors or Security Guards) in a single museum.

Once you’ve developed robotic staff members in the workshop by upgrading your machines, you’ll be able to create various types of employees instead of hiring. Fill ten staff roles at any museum with robots you’ve made at the workshop.

    Built on Sand(box)

Construct a level 10 museum in Sandbox Mode.

From the game’s main menu, you can opt for Sandbox Mode instead of the regular campaign, allowing complete customization of your museum. Although this mode tracks the quality of your exhibits, maintain upgrades to reach level 10 for this achievement.

To make this easier, set your Sandbox run with the maximum starting funds since the game focuses on your earned results rather than your initial budget.

    Product Placement

    Earn $10,000 from sponsored exhibits.

    Comprehensive Curator

Collect 100 Shiny Stickers in the Sticker Book.

Advancing through standard gameplay objectives while enhancing your museums will reward you with various stickers, representing milestones like unlocking certain exhibits or encountering specific visitor types. Once a sticker is collected, you can unlock its shiny counterpart by meeting additional objectives. Gather 100 unique stickers across multiple museums within the same save file.

    Thaw & Order

Have a donation stand vandalized by a Defrosted Cave-Person.

After using the Time Portal to introduce a Cave Person to the museum, their curiosity about the modern world may lead to mischief. This trophy activates automatically the first time they damage a donation stand.

    The Anomalonians *

Activate the final Astral Anomaly exhibit.

On reaching the Space Museum, Pebberly Heights, as part of the campaign, you’ll encounter various unique universe-themed requirements. Completing this task signifies the campaign’s conclusion; however, you may continue playing in any museum afterward.

    Prehistory Mystery *

    Activate a Prehistory Mystery exhibit.

The assembled exhibits and taxidermy creatures collected on expeditions aren’t suddenly coming back to life to frighten visitors, are they?

    Ex-plorer *

Lose a staff member during an expedition.

Expeditions come with risks—sending your team to dangerous areas without proper training increases the chances of a staff member not returning. You can purposely send untrained staff to high-risk locations to trigger this event.

  • Revamp Your Furniture at Two Point Museum: A Quick Guide

Revamp Your Furniture at Two Point Museum: A Quick Guide

Decorating your own museums in Two Point Museum is already a blast. You can mix and match wallpapers, flooring, and various decorations, but why limit yourself to just the basics? You have the opportunity to take customization to the next level and make each item truly your own!

There are several ways to alter the colors of your furniture and displays in Two Point Museum. Items marked with a round paint palette icon can be adjusted to fit the overall theme of your museum.

Utilize Sliders for Customizing Furniture and Decorations

The initial levels in your Prehistory museum provide plenty of tips on how to arrange your exhibits to boost the decoration score, which your visitors will certainly appreciate. With numerous themes and a variety of furniture pieces unlocked through the campaign mode, you’ll find yourself customizing the colors of certain items to better fit their surroundings in no time.

You can personalize your furniture and decorations in Two Point Museum before and after setting them up. Fortunately, once an item is placed, you won’t incur any additional costs for customization, giving you full freedom to express your style across every corner of your museum.

If you’re changing colors before placing a piece, look for the orange palette icon on the item in your catalog. Not every piece will have this icon, meaning they are fixed in their appearance. However, any item with this icon can be customized. Click into the customization menu to select the color using a circular hue selector and then adjust the saturation meter to achieve the exact shade you want.

In addition to changing colors, many decorations offer other customization options. By interacting with the blue paintbrush icon in the bottom right corner of any item in the menu, you can modify things like rock formations, exhibit designs on banners, the number of animal prints, and much more.

Changing the type of plushies displayed in a gift shop by customizing the theme in Two Point Museum.

If you want to modify an item you’ve already placed—perhaps due to a change in theme or a desire for a new layout—you can easily do so. Just hold to pick up an item, which will open a small menu on your screen that shows details about that item.

At the bottom of this menu, you’ll find several icons for selling or storing the item. Select the Customize Furniture option from this row. This will bring up the same hue selector for recoloring as you would use for items before placement. After adjusting the color, you can return the item to its original location with a fresh look.

Interestingly, customizing furniture or decor doesn’t seem to influence your guests’ opinions. They care more about how well the items are arranged and maintained rather than if the colors are coordinated.

  • Maximizing the Marketing Office in Two Point Museum

Maximizing the Marketing Office in Two Point Museum

In Two Point Museum, a significant portion of your revenue stems from donations made by visitors. To make an exhibition successful, it’s essential to draw in guests who are willing to contribute generously. While having a large museum with diverse exhibits attracts broad interest, achieving that is more of a long-term ambition. For now, your best strategy for maximizing the potential of your current collection lies in the Marketing Room.

Continue reading to discover how the Marketing Room functions and to master its effective use for your museum.

Running a Marketing Campaign in Two Point Museum

Each Marketing Room in your museum can manage just one 90-day Marketing Campaign at a time. If you have several Marketing Rooms, you can run a campaign in each, though this can become costly due to staffing and promotional expenses, so make sure your budget allows for it.

For a Marketing Campaign to be effective, it must be overseen by an Assistant with one or more levels of Marketing skills. While some Assistants may start with this skill, many will need training. The greater the Marketing level of the Assistant, the more successful the Campaign they manage will be.

When launching a Marketing Campaign, the total cost and effectiveness depend on whether you opt for a Basic, Standard, or Elaborate Campaign. Higher-priced Marketing Campaigns offer larger bonuses – details below.

You have the option to set the Campaign to automatically repeat once it ends. If selected, you’ll incur charges for each new campaign on commencement, and the Marketing Room will continue the same Campaign until you disable this feature.

Marketing Campaign Types in Two Point Museum

Every time you initiate a new Marketing Campaign, you can select one of three types using the tabs at the top of the Marketing menu:

    • A Guest Campaign, which targets increasing foot traffic or drawing visitors interested in specific themes.
    • A Subcategory Campaign, designed to boost the excitement around a collection of Exhibits.
    • An Exhibit Campaign, aimed at enhancing the appeal of a particular type of Exhibit.

    Guest Campaigns

    Campaign

    Basic ($5,000)

    Standard ($7,500)

    Elaborate ($10,000)

    Museum Campaign

Increases the chance of new visitors being the selected type (max chance 35%)

Increases the chance of new visitors being the selected type (max chance 50%)

If a Marketing Room isn’t running an active Campaign, it will conduct a Background Campaign, functioning like a Basic Museum Campaign at no cost. Therefore, paying for one is pointless!

    Subcategory Campaigns

Your campaign can focus on a wider Theme or a specific subcategory within that Theme.

    Campaign

    Basic ($5,000)

    Standard ($7,500)

    Elaborate ($10,000)

    Basic ($5,000)

    Standard ($7,500)

    Elaborate ($10,000)

All copies of the chosen Exhibit receive a 20% Buzz bonus. New visitors have an increased chance of their favorite subject being that of the chosen Exhibit (max chance 20%)

Tips for Using Marketing Campaigns in Two Point Museum

When executing Marketing Campaigns, aim to capitalize on your museum’s strengths rather than attempting to compensate for weaknesses. Since bonuses are based on percentages and odds, you’re more likely to recoup your investment if you attract a lot of donations from the visitors your Marketing team brings in.

As a rule of thumb, concentrate on Campaigns that enhance a larger number of Exhibits in your museum. Regularly organize Campaigns around the main theme of your Exhibits. You can explore subcategories and specific pieces only if they have high Buzz totals or if your collection is significantly skewed toward a certain subcategory. Even those without direct interest will be impressed by the Buzz and more inclined to donate.

Once you have several Marketing Rooms functioning, assess Guest Campaigns to boost attendance. Focus on what your museum does best: If you offer many Interactive Displays, for instance, target Families since children are likely to enjoy these Exhibits and leave positive feedback. If your offerings are rich in information, attract Professors, Yetis, and Goths.

If you cater to Cheesemoongers, you can easily provide a Dream Visit by serving the Melted Cheese Medley in your Cafeteria, resulting in an excellent Museum Rating!

  • Unlocking the Silverbottom Reunion Achievement in Two Point Museum

Unlocking the Silverbottom Reunion Achievement in Two Point Museum

Long before your team in Two Point Museum began searching for new artifacts, Twiggy Silverbottom and her cousins ventured into the uncharted areas of Two Point County. Unfortunately, one by one, they met their demise, and now their spirits linger in many places you’ll explore.

If you manage to locate all four ghosts and place them together in a Polterguest Room, you’ll earn the Silverbottom Reunion Achievement/Trophy, along with a new exhibit that’s bound to attract visitors to your museum.

Where to Find the Silverbottom Ghosts

Twiggy and her cousins—Bish, Bim, and Biff—can be found haunting each of the four exploration maps on Earth within Two Point Museum. They never traveled to space, so there’s no need to search for them in The Known Universe.

    Bim Silverbottom

Bim resides in the Withering Way within the Bone Belt. To retrieve his spirit, you’ll need a Prehistory Expert and a Janitor, both at Rank 5, along with a Supernatural Expert of any level. At $20,000 per attempt, Bim is the most expensive of the Silverbottom ghosts to recover.

Before you head out, avoid scheduling your trip during Seismic Season. This time brings a risk of Cave Collapse events that could lead one of your staff to share Bim’s fate. If your team’s Rank totals 30 or greater, you can prevent this event, but achieving that can be a challenge.

Bring a Curse Counter to keep your staff from becoming possessed by the more malevolent spirits in the Withering Way.

    Bish Silverbottom

Bish can be found haunting the wreck of the SS Silverbottom beneath the Two Point Sea. He resides in the second of two locations associated with the ship, known as Silverbottom Salvage. The wreck itself is home to several Pirate Spirits, including the notorious Captain Dreadge.

Rescuing Bish from his watery resting place costs $10,000 and requires both a Marine Life Expert and a Supernatural Expert. Your team should have both the Pilot Wings and Survival skills to avoid danger from drowning. If you can spare a skill slot for Happy Thoughts, it can help counter Seasickness.

Alternatively, you could hire Experts with the Sea Legs trait, though you would need a bit of luck for both experts to have it.

Unless the combined Rank of both characters is 20 or greater, bring a Curse Counter to prevent one from being possessed; this will save you a trip to Curses, Curses, Curses for healing.

    Biff Silverbottom

Biff, sporting his magnificent mustache, is located deep within Bungle Burrows. You’ll need to progress far in the Bungle Wasteland story to access the Cryo Labs. A visit to the Labs costs $6,000, but you’ll likely need to make at least two trips since your first visit will always reward you with the blueprint for the Air Commissioner.

However, the Cryo Labs are the least hazardous among the Silverbottom haunt locations. With your Science Expert and Assistant, you should be easily able to achieve a combined Rank of 10. If the Expert possesses the Survival Skills to counter the Blizzard event, you can ensure an XP bonus! Additionally, you can use First Aid Kits or Rank Cheese to manage negative events if your team’s skills aren’t at the desired level.

    Twiggy Silverbottom

It remains uncertain if Twiggy truly made it to the afterlife during her journey or if she became lost before her death, causing her spirit to wander. Regardless, you’ll need to visit The Resting Place in the Netherworld to bring her back. This journey is perilous, so ensure all three team members have at least Rank 5—preferably more.

Attempting to rescue Twiggy’s spirit costs $17,500 and requires two Supernatural Experts and a Janitor. Having them at Rank 5 ensures they each have two skill slots. Make sure the chosen Janitor has two levels of Happy Thoughts while the Supernatural Experts have two levels of Analysis and Spirit Whispering, respectively.

Advanced training in these three skills will help mitigate the risks of The Resting Place.

With this configuration, all that’s left is Hellhole Repellant or Rank Cheese to ward off a potential Hellhole Holdup; and as long as you avoid going during Nightmare Season, extracting Twiggy from the Netherworld should be safe.

How to Set Up the Silverbottom Ghosts for an Exhibit

The Silverbottoms gain Buzz Bonuses for being in the same Polterguest Room, so having all four together in a fully-decorated room can yield a total Buzz of 340—making it a prime attraction, especially for Supernatural Enthusiasts. This group of ghosts tends to be quite relaxed and will accept any decor.

As long as there’s some form of entertainment—ideally at least one TV, bookshelf, gramophone, or another object for each of them in addition to regular decorations—they’re easy to manage.

The Silverbottoms require a Polterguest Room that’s at least 20 squares total. A room size of 5×4 is sufficient, but feel free to go larger if you like; just ensure the space complements the preferences of any new roommates.

Even better, each of the Silverbottom ghosts offers a unique bonus that can be utilized as soon as you rescue them!

    Silverbottom Bonuses

    Ghost

    Ability

    Twiggy Silverbottom

Guests who visit Twiggy’s room tend to stay at the museum longer.

    Biff Silverbottom

Cleans any messes in his Polterguest Room without needing to call a Janitor.

    Bim Silverbottom

Boosts guest happiness as if they had interacted with a Customer Service-trained Assistant.

    Bish Silverbottom

Ghosts in the same room as Bish experience a slower loss of Peace.

  • Quick Cash Strategies in Two Point Museum

Quick Cash Strategies in Two Point Museum

Two Point Museum Guide: Maximizing Your Revenue

In Two Point Museum, like in any management simulation, you’ll need to juggle your expenses and income wisely. Your museum’s funding will come primarily from donations, rather than ticket sales, so managing your budget effectively is crucial. High staff costs can make it tricky to maintain a sustainable income, but with some strategic planning, you can encourage more generosity from your visitors.

If you’re struggling to secure the necessary funds for your next project, check out these tips to boost your financial standing.

    Group Exhibits Together

Guests donate based on their experience, so it’s essential to create an environment that maximizes both excitement and knowledge. To accomplish this, focus on fulfilling their entertainment, food, and overall needs, which will encourage them to stay longer, enjoy more exhibits, and contribute to donation bins.

Tip: Pack as many exhibits as possible into each room while maintaining walkways and pleasing decor. A moderately sized room filled with engaging exhibits and informative displays will attract more donations than a larger space with exhibits spread too far apart.

    Guided Tours

Creating guided tours that highlight closely grouped exhibits with a common theme can significantly enhance guest satisfaction. Visitors prefer shorter walking distances, so grouping high-quality exhibits together allows for smooth, efficient tours. Notably, donations from these tours are collected immediately, eliminating the need for a security guard to handle funds!

    Expand the Gift Shop

A well-sized and adequately staffed gift shop can be a significant profit center. Guests are inclined to spend considerable amounts here, so ensuring that it’s easily accessible and that checkout lines move swiftly is vital.

Tip: A larger gift shop can accommodate more customers at once. Aim for one checkout counter for every ten guests, plus an extra or two for good measure to avoid long waits.

If sales are slow, consider lowering prices to encourage more purchases. Customers who feel they’ve bagged a good deal are likely to spend more time in the museum overall.

    Sell Old Exhibits

As you advance in the game, you may find yourself with surplus copies of common exhibits obtained from expeditions. If you’ve maxed out the knowledge on these items, selling them for quick cash can finance further expeditions for more valuable artifacts.

Alternatively, wait for a collector to visit. Display anything that might pique their interest, as collectors purchase at a premium—often double the regular selling price.

    Explore Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorships can provide crucial financial support, but you’ll need to know where to look. Go to the Finances Menu and click on the Sponsors Tab. Here, you’ll find two sponsorship options at a time, along with the chance to declare bankruptcy if you’re in a tight spot.

A sponsorship will require you to display a specific exhibit in exchange for a monthly bonus and extra cash for each visitor to that exhibit. However, be aware that some sponsored exhibits may have drawbacks, like creating litter or displaying advertisements that might annoy your guests. Weigh the financial benefits against these potential issues.

    Adjust Ticket Prices

Raising or lowering ticket prices can have significant impacts on your revenue. Lower prices may encourage guests to stay longer and spend more overall, while increasing prices could provide quick financial relief if you’re facing losses. However, be sure to adjust prices back down once your situation stabilizes—unless guests still view the higher price as a fair deal!

    Consider Taking Out a Loan

Loans are available in the Finances Menu and can provide a lump sum of cash quickly. Keep in mind, though, that repayments start right away, and higher loans usually come with higher interest rates. It’s essential to have a solid plan for using the funds wisely rather than blowing it all at once.

Tip: Use loans strategically for significant projects like new exhibits or expanded gift shops to ensure that the potential earnings outweigh the interest costs.

In summary, effective budgeting and strategic planning are vital for your museum’s success. By grouping exhibits, expanding sales opportunities, exploring sponsorships, adjusting ticket prices, and managing loans, you can ensure a thriving museum experience for both you and your guests.

  • Unlocking the Museum Garden Tent: Code for Indiana Jones’ Chest

Unlocking the Museum Garden Tent: Code for Indiana Jones’ Chest

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle offers more than just a primary adventure; it’s filled with engaging side quests that will keep you intrigued. Fieldwork missions enhance the narrative and often involve assisting important characters, while Discovery goals require you to find hidden collectibles. Additionally, the Mysteries present a series of puzzles that test your problem-solving and observational skills.

In the Vatican, you can tackle several Mysteries, including one called A Date To Remember located in the Museum Wing. This mystery revolves around a shipping container that requires a combination code to open. It might look challenging initially, but by gathering the right clues, you’ll find it’s much easier than it appears.

How to Start the A Date To Remember Mystery

To kick off the A Date To Remember mystery, head to the communication tent in the restricted area of Belvedere Courtyard and take a look at the Shipment Report.

Once you accept the quest, you’ll need to access the Museum Wing, which is initially off-limits. It’s vital to progress in Gina’s Fieldwork mission, A Nun In Trouble, as she will grant you access to the museum. After entering, follow the marker to the museum’s garden, where a tent contains a locked chest that needs a combination to open.

If you’ve picked up the Blackshirt Disguise from the washing area beneath the balcony where you first met Gina, sneaking into the tent will be a breeze. Just be cautious of the captain, who can see through your disguise.

A Date To Remember Clues and Notes

The clues for the puzzle can be found on a nearby desk along with its drawer. They consist of the Code Lookup Table, the Secret Delivery Letter, and a Calendar Page for October 1937.

The Secret Delivery Letter reveals that the shipment was dispatched on October 15 and includes the cryptic code DICE, specifying that the shipment arrived on a Wednesday. To decode DICE into a numeric key, you can refer to the Code Lookup Table, which matches days of the week with numbers.

Keep in mind, if you calculate the code using the delivery date, you will come up with 4718, which has already been tested and is incorrect. The right method is to relate DICE to the date it was sent, October 15. According to the Calendar Page, October 15 is a Friday (Venerdi in Italian).

    The Shipment Container Solution

By revisiting the Code Lookup Table and correlating "DICE" with Friday, you will discover the correct combination code is 6380. Enter this code to unlock the Shipment Container, revealing a pouch of Lira, an additional letter, and the Vatican Mystery exploration guide.
