In an interview with Asmaa Ibrahim on Cairo and People TV’s “Secret Ink,” Maram Ali shared a variety of personal and professional details. She addressed recent rumors about her, expressed her views on the ongoing Syrian unrest and her artistic goals, and revealed a personal story that deeply touched her.
Maram Ali dispelled rumors about her relationship with Ahmed Fahmy, clarifying that their collaboration on the series “Two Coffee” was not romantic. She stated, “The rumors about my relationship with Ahmed Fahmy are ridiculous… I hold great love and respect for him, both personally and professionally.” She also mentioned she received this information directly from him.
She also expressed her desire to collaborate with Mohamed Ramadan, praising his determination and confidence, and welcomed opportunities to work with Ahmed El-Awady. Additionally, she hopes to work with Mona Zaki, Yasmine Abdel Aziz, and Menna Shalaby, acknowledging the significant contributions of Kinda Alloush and Jumana Murad, though she believes Kinda is more prominent in Egypt.
On a personal note, Maram Ali shared that her perspective on separation has evolved after enduring several losses, noting that she no longer fears death. She said, “Today, I am no longer afraid of parting.”
She described a poignant dream involving her father’s passing, expressing her longing for happiness to return soon. She added, “It’s been a long time since I felt truly happy, and nothing seems to bring me joy anymore. I urgently need a joyful moment, whether it’s attending a wedding or witnessing someone succeed.”
Regarding the entertainment industry, Maram Ali believes Syrian drama is on the path to a major revival. She noted that the industry experiences ups and downs, and that the audience is the ultimate judge. She emphasized, “It’s not my call… it’s the audience’s,” and confidently predicted, “This year, we will achieve great success.”
She also mentioned her plans to participate in a Syrian production, but had to decline due to a commitment to film a 15-episode series in Egypt that took longer than expected, making her unavailable for Ramadan projects.
