    ### How to earn the FOXHOUND title

Getting the FOXHOUND title is especially tough. It’s not just about finishing the game quickly; you must do it flawlessly. That means no alerting enemies, no kills, and completing the game in under five hours. Rushing straight through isn’t enough—you need to be stealthy and strategic.

It’s best to play the game at least once before attempting a FOXHOUND run. Many players find it helpful to finish the game multiple times on Extreme Difficulty. This helps you memorize the locations and patrol routes for better planning.

It’s important to familiarize yourself with the areas where enemies can be avoided entirely without defeating anyone. Some sections require knocking out guards, but others can be bypassed completely. Skipping fights can save time, especially if patrol routes are predictable.

You’ll also want to make consistent use of the best camouflage available. Good concealment allows you to avoid enemy detection more easily, especially on higher difficulty levels where enemies are more alert. Proper camouflage gives you more options for routes and allows you to move faster without risking detection.

  • Where to Find and Catch a Tsuchinoko in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Where to Find and Catch a Tsuchinoko in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you can catch many creatures like frogs, rats, snakes, and even those Snake is willing to eat. But the most difficult to find is the Tsuchinoko.

This creature is a chunky, snake-like figure from Japanese folklore. While some believe they’ve seen one in real life, there’s no proof it exists outside stories. In this game universe, however, you can catch a Tsuchinoko if you know where and how. It’s only possible in certain locations and with a specific method, which we’ll explain.

    How to Catch a Tsuchinoko

To catch a Tsuchinoko, you need to use a mousetrap. These traps are located inside enemy buildings and bases. Here are some spots where you can find them:

    • Bolshaya Past Base – Under a bed in the main building and in the wooden shack.
    • Ponizovje Warehouse – On the second floor.
    • Graniny Gorki Lab B1: East – Inside a prison cell.

While exploring, you’ll see Snake placing down a mousetrap. To do this, equip the trap, aim at the ground, and press the ‘fire’ button to place it. After setting traps, you’ll return to the area later, often finding a caught creature, which might be the Tsuchinoko.

In the Tikogornyj area, if you previously captured one but lost it when your gear was taken, you can tranquilize the Tsuchinoko there too.

    Where to Find a Tsuchinoko

The Tsuchinoko can appear in a few key locations:

    • Bolshaya Past South
    • Graniny Gorki South
    • Sokrovenno
    • Tikogornyj (only if you had one earlier and lost it when gear was taken)

The Best Spot to Catch One

The top place to find a Tsuchinoko is Graniny Gorki South, which you reach right after the warehouse. The strategy is simple: place the mousetraps in that area, go into the warehouse, then come back to check the traps. This quick turnaround often results in catching something by the time you return.

You can also collect mousetraps by crawling over them, though the Tsuchinoko probably won’t be your first catch. Keep placing traps, then crawl over and pick them up repeatedly until you finally trap the creature. Doing so will earn you the “Believe It Or Not” achievement or trophy.

  • Where to Find Night-Vision Goggles in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Where to Find Night-Vision Goggles in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you frequently explore the jungle at all times, wander through caves, and walk along underground tunnels. Because of this, you often encounter darkness. There are a few ways to see in these dark places, but one main method is using Snake’s cigar to create some light. Still, options like this are limited, and the best tool for night visibility is definitely night-vision goggles. These goggles are designed specifically to help you see in the dark, unlike a cigar. However, you don’t start with the goggles—they are found somewhere in the game. Here’s exactly where you can find them.

    ### Where to Find the Night-Vision Goggles

The goggles are located inside the cave system you enter after defeating Ocelot. This location makes sense because the area is very dark, and the goggles are needed most there. Unfortunately, they aren’t lying right at your feet when you drop down into the cave. Instead, you need to reach the central chamber of the cave, where two waterfalls are located. Be sure to get to the bottom of these waterfalls, not the top.

In the waterfall room, there is a small pathway. If you have your in-game compass active, it will show that the path is to the northwest. Follow that pathway carefully, but don’t drop down it yet. Instead, stay close to the right wall and keep moving forward until you reach a small crawlspace. Crawl through it to enter another area, which has another crawlspace. Crawl through this as well to continue.

This will lead you to a hidden little area where a small Kerotan frog is nearby. Right beneath this frog, you will find the night-vision goggles. Once you pick them up, returning to the rest of the cave won’t be too hard, as long as you don’t run into too many bats along the way.

  • How To Defeat The End in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater through Completing and Solving

How To Defeat The End in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater through Completing and Solving

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has plenty of boss fights, even though the game can be finished in a relatively short time. Every boss battle is unique and requires different strategies to succeed without getting hurt.

The End is the boss fight that demands the most patience. This makes sense because it’s a sniper battle, which naturally requires a lot of waiting. To win this fight, patience is key, and if you play your cards right, you can leave the fight with more rewards than you started with.

    ### How to Avoid The End’s Attacks

The End will hide in various spots around the area to take shots at you. He’s hard to spot, but you can notice a faint glint reflecting off his rifle scope, which tips you off to his position.

You’ll get an audio warning before he fires, so you can dodge his shot, though there’s always a chance he might hit you anyway. Checking your map helps because it marks the locations where he might be set up. This allows you to plan your route more carefully. Stay behind cover and move slowly and quietly.

The End fires tranquilizer darts, meaning if you get hit, you’ll need to use health supplies to recover or focus on stamina maintenance, which involves eating food. Both options help keep you in the fight longer without taking damage.

    ### How to Defeat The End

There are different ways to deal with The End. You can try one of these methods:

    – Shoot him when you first spot him near the dock. Using the SVD rifle at that long range is a good choice.
    – Take him out from a distance by shooting him with a powerful sniper.
    – Sneak up close to him and silently take him down.
    – Or, you could wait for him to die naturally of old age—yes, really.

Sniping him from afar is the most straightforward method, but it can take just as long or longer than sneaking up on him because he’s very good at hiding. Tracking him down can be time-consuming, and you might spend a lot of time searching without him noticing you.

Pro tip: firing into the air can reveal your position quickly, making it easier for The End to spot you, but it also helps you locate him by forcing him into a visible position. This method is risky because it exposes you to danger regularly.

    ### How to Sneak Up on The End

The fight can happen in multiple areas. If you enter an area and see The End’s health bar still visible at the top of your screen, you’re in the right place. He’ll move around these spots, and your goal is to follow and sneak behind him.

Using tools like the directional microphone or thermal vision will make tracking him easier. Explore the surroundings to find good paths to approach him quietly. Use the routes to get behind him without raising suspicion.

Once close, sneak up behind him, draw your weapon, and aim at his head. If successful, he’ll drop his Moss Camo suit—the best camouflage in the game—and you can deal heavy damage. Repeating this process quietly and non-lethally will also reward you with his non-lethal sniper rifle, the Mosin-Nagant.

    ### How to Wait for Old Age

Another option is to wait for The End to die of old age. The fight can be extended by simply waiting. As soon as the encounter begins, you can wait seven real-world days for him to pass away naturally. You can do this either by waiting in real time or by adjusting your system clock forward by the right amount of time.

He won’t be a threat anymore, but you also won’t receive any special rewards for killing him. Dead is dead, and this is the easiest way to bypass the fight altogether.

  • How to Complete All Trophies & Achievements in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

    Endless Battle

    Collect all trophies and achievements.

There’s not much to explain. Do everything, and you’ll earn this trophy. Plus, you’ll feel proud of completing everything, which is its own reward.

    Young Gun

    Stun Ocelot

The simplest way is to throw a stun grenade at him as soon as he takes cover. This makes it hard for him to move away, even if it temporarily blinds you, too.

    Pain Relief

    Win against The Pain

The Pain is one of the easiest bosses. It just takes patience. Keep healing yourself and slowly lower his health until he’s defeated.

If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It

    Win against The Fear

The Fear can be tricky due to all the traps around. Watch for The Fear above and traps below, and you’ll mostly stay safe.

    The End

    Win against The End

This boss fight is long and requires patience. Move carefully through the area to find him, or wait a couple of weeks for him to die on his own.

    Houston, We HAD A Problem

    Win against The Fury

The Fury can destroy you quickly if you’re not careful with cover. Stay out of sight, and shoot when you can to quickly get back into protection.

    River Of Pain

    Win against The Sorrow

All you need to do is walk to the end of the River during The Sorrow fight. The game will say Snake is dead, but use a Revival Pill, and you’ll find he’s fine.

    Grounded

    Win against The Volgin

Get close to Volgin, attack him with CQC, then shoot him when he’s down. He would do the same to you.

    Shagadelic

    Win against The Shagohod

Your RPG will work well here. Aim for the weak points, and this fight won’t be too hard.

    The Patriot

    Win against The Boss

The Boss attacks in different ways. Counter her melee attacks with CQC at the right times, and seek cover when she shoots. Attack her when she’s not aware, and the fight becomes easier.

    Mama Said

Knock out a guard with CQC

Sneak behind a guard, grab, and knock them out. This only requires stealth.

Tell Me Where The Bomb Is

    Interrogate an enemy with CQC

Don’t knock them out immediately—grab and interrogate an enemy to see some relevant info. You can then knock them out afterward.

    Like He Just Doesn’t Care

    Hold up an enemy

Approach an enemy quietly with your gun drawn, and tell them to freeze. They will surrender.

    Don’t Touch The Sides

Remove a bullet with a knife

If you get shot, sometimes a bullet remains in your body. Use your knife in the Cure menu to remove it.

    Ocelot Always Get His Man

Spot Ocelot when Snake shakes the President’s hand

During the cutscene with Snake and the president, Ocelot appears in the background. Take a quick look for this trophy.

Eat a snake of any kind

Eat a tranquilized snake or kill one and consume it.

    Foodie

Add any item to your Food Collection

After eating anything, check your Food Collection from the main menu to record it.

A Good Man Is Hard To Find

    Reach a 100% Camo Index

For this, sneak up behind The End and aim your weapon during his boss fight to unlock his camo.

    I Can Totally See You

Achieve at least 90% Camo Index

Keep collecting camo as you go. Use the best ones and go prone when needed. This will make it easier to reach 90% or higher.

Kill Ocelot while he’s unconscious after his first appearance, using an explosive barrel or shotgun.

    Taste The Poison

Throw a poisonous creature at an enemy

Capture a poisonous animal (like snakes or a scorpion), equip it in your weapons, and throw it at an enemy.

Listen to Para-Medic talk about movies after saving

Para-Medic will often start talking about movies automatically when you save by calling her on the radio.

    Friendly Fire

    Call in fire support

    Use a Healing Radio frequency

These secret radio frequencies restore your stamina once per playthrough, allowing healing when needed.

    Beekeeper

Use bees to harass an enemy

Find beehives hanging from trees. Fire at one above an enemy, and the bees will attack them.

    Just Because

Destroy an armory or supply storehouse with TNT

Scattered around the game, these storehouses contain useful supplies. Loot them first, then blow them up.

    Mostly Dead

    Use the Fake Death Pill

Take the Fake Death Pill. You can wake yourself with another pill afterward.

    You Snooze, You Lose

Hold up The End to make him drop an item

This is needed for the 100% Camo Index. Use a trail to sneak up on him with your weapon out, then hold him up.

    The Early End

Kill The End before the boss fight

Right after encountering The End at the dock, he’s leaving in a wheelchair. You can kill him now, but it means missing his camo in that run.

    Mud Scientist

Get dirty while wearing the Scientist uniform

Wear the Scientist uniform and crawl through mud to complete this.

    War Has Changed

Start a game in New Style

Similar to the Kerotans, find and shoot all the camouflaged ducks. It’s easier to do on a second game run since progress carries over.

    Like A Boss

Finish the game on any difficulty

The only requirement is to complete the entire game.

    Peace Walker

Complete the game without killing anyone

It’s quite manageable, especially on Very Easy difficulty, and is a straightforward achievement.

  • All Food Collections in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Complete Solving Guide

All Food Collections in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Complete Solving Guide

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is mainly a stealth game, but it also includes survival elements. Healing your character isn’t as simple as pressing a button—the same goes for managing your stamina.

To keep your stamina up, you’ll need a steady supply of food, unless you’re playing on the easiest difficulty. You’ll be responsible for gathering your own food, which comes in different types. Each kind restores stamina differently and can cause various reactions in Snake.

    ### How to Collect Food
There are two main ways to get food in the game: finding packaged, processed foods like Ramen and Rations lying around, or catching fresh food yourself, which could be animals or plants.

To catch animals or harvest plants, you usually need to shoot them. Shooting an animal with a lethal weapon will give you its meat. Using a non-lethal weapon allows you to trap the animal in a cage instead. You carry up to three cages at a time, which you can use to trap animals or toss animals at enemies. If you have dead animal meat, it will spoil over time, and eating spoiled meat can make Snake sick.

    ### Where to Collect Each Type of Food
The game features five main categories of food, with a total of 48 different items ranging from common to rare.

    #### Where to Find Snakes
There are 12 types of snakes throughout the game:

    – Tsuchinoko: Rare; found in several locations like Bolshaya Past South, Chyornyj Prud, and Graniny Gorki South. Must be caught with a mousetrap; only one per playthrough.

  • How to Complete the Boss in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with Solving

How to Complete the Boss in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with Solving

The final boss in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is The Boss, the legendary soldier who taught Snake much of what he knows. Facing her can be pretty intimidating because she’s been overpowering Snake in story scenes throughout the game. But now, it’s your turn to control Snake for this showdown.

This fight remains challenging. It involves sneaking around, blending in with camouflage, and engaging in close-quarters combat (CQC). Plus, there is a time limit, so you need to act quickly. Here’s how to beat her.

    The Boss’s Attacks

The Boss doesn’t possess superpowers like some enemies. She only has a couple of moves:

    • Shooting you with her Patriot weapon
    • Charging at you for CQC

Here’s how to handle each attack:

Attack How to Deal With It
Shooting at You When she fires, run away and hide behind a tree or crawl through the flowers, hoping she loses sight of you.
CQC (Close Quarters Combat) Let her charge and grab you, then wait for the slow-motion moment before pressing the CQC button. Timing is tricky, and sometimes you might need to counter more than once.

    How to Defeat The Boss

The fight takes place among white lilies, which serve as perfect camouflage for her outfit. Staying hidden is key, so make sure to equip the best camouflage for this area—like Snow camo if you have it.

Once you’ve got your camo, crawl among the lilies to stay out of her sight. She’ll eventually retreat behind trees and peek around, searching for you. This is your chance to sneak into a better position and take a shot.

Using thermal goggles can help locate her because her camo makes her hard to spot. It’s easier to stay hidden when you’re crouched or standing behind trees rather than prone. Wait until she is looking away or is behind cover, then move into position to shoot her.

After you shoot her, she may charge at you again. When that happens, you’ll need to counter her CQC attack by pressing the CQC button at the right moment as the game slows down. If successful, you’ll knock her down, which damages her stamina and gives you an opportunity to shoot her multiple times while she’s on the ground. Take advantage of these moments to deal extra damage.

Firing at her while she’s searching, countering her CQC, and shooting her when she’s down are the key ways to hurt her in this fight. Once her health or stamina runs out, the showdown will end. If you beat her without killing her, you can pick up the unique Snake camo she leaves behind.

  • How To Defeat Volgin in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing and Solving

How To Defeat Volgin in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing and Solving

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater features complex characters, but Colonel Volgin’s moral standing is quite straightforward. He is the game’s clearest villain—an evil person who commits murder, abuse, and is generally a terrible human being. It’s satisfying to have the chance to take him down.

However, fighting him isn’t easy because he is a huge man with lightning powers. The battle also has a time limit because the C3 explosive you planted is about to go off. So, you must defeat him quickly. Here’s all the essential information to help you succeed.

    Volgin’s Attacks

Volgin has several attacks he’ll try during the fight. Here’s an overview of each one and the best way to handle them:

    Attack Description and Tips
Close Range Punches and Charges He charges at you with punches. Dodge by running out of his way before he gets too close.
Single Line of Lightning He unleashes a slow-moving lightning attack that follows you slightly. It’s easy to dodge—just run away.
Rapid Fire Bullets He sweeps and fires a barrage of bullets. When he’s about to shoot, dodge left or right. Keep moving to stay ahead of the bullets.
Bullets Everywhere (Phase Two) He gathers many bullets around him and fires them all at once. Go prone to make the bullets fly over your head.
Multiple Lines of Lightning (Phase Two) He upgrades his lightning attack with a second line. It’s harder to dodge but going prone usually works.
Lightning on the Floor (Phase Two) He lays down lines of lightning just above the ground that can shock or cause you to trip. Rolling over the beams helps to avoid them.

    How to Defeat Volgin

In the fight, CQC (Close Quarters Combat) is your strongest tool—especially when he’s not electrified or swinging punches. When he’s vulnerable, run up and press the CGC button to throw him to the ground. This action lowers his stamina and leaves him open to more attacks.

Keep this in mind: Ocelot might seem to have his own health bar, but don’t worry about him. Sometimes, he distracts Volgin to help you.

When you see Volgin on the ground, you can finish him off. Use a gun with a “DMG” symbol if you want a lethal kill. For a non-lethal option, choose a weapon marked with “ZZZ” or “STN.” You can also roll onto him to cause non-lethal damage—though it might look funny, it works effectively.

Be cautious with your ammo, especially if you’re using a gun, because Volgin’s electrical attacks can damage your bullets. Only equip your gun when you’re ready to shoot, then quickly unequip after firing.

This CQC and shooting approach works in both phases of the fight. Keep doing it until he runs out of health or stamina. If you drain his stamina, you’ll earn the Cold War camo.

Because of the countdown timer, you need to be quick and aggressive. Finish the fight before time runs out to emerge victorious.

  • What Is the Snake vs. Monkey Minigame in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Completing and Solving?

What Is the Snake vs. Monkey Minigame in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Completing and Solving?

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn’t a super serious game, and that’s actually a compliment. It combines genuine emotion with wild characters and crazy situations, and that mix makes it one of the most fun video game series out there.

Alongside the main story, there’s a mini-game called Snake vs. Monkey. It takes place separately from the main events and plays quite differently. It’s a good way to take a break from all the action—whether the story is dark or funny.

What Is The Snake Vs. Monkey Minigame?

The Snake vs. Monkey minigame is a race against the clock across seven different levels. There’s a quick intro explaining what’s going on, then you can pick five of the levels to play, with the other two unlocking as you make progress in the main game.

In this mini-game, your goal is to find and catch the monkeys hiding around each level. These levels are borrowed from the main campaign, and the monkeys range from running openly to hiding in sneaky spots.

    How To Capture Every Monkey

Usually, you can find the monkeys just by walking around each level. When you spot one, you can use your EZ-Gun or throw a Stun Grenade to make it stop moving. Then, walk up to the monkey to capture it.

It’s important to note that if a monkey sees you, it will try to run away. While it’s still pretty easy to catch it, things can get a little chaotic if multiple monkeys start running at once.

Some monkeys will be harder to find than others. When that happens, use your Directional Microphone. Point it around the area, and you’ll hear clues that guide you to the missing monkeys.

  • How to Overcome Sorrow in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

How to Overcome Sorrow in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

During Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you face each member of the famous Cobra unit in boss battles. One of these is The Sorrow. His encounter is quite different from the others because it’s not really a fight. You can’t hurt The Sorrow in any way, and he doesn’t really hurt you either. Since he’s already a spirit, he isn’t suited for actual combat.

This makes the encounter seem easy, but it’s actually tricky. There’s a secret to getting through it and continuing the game. Finding out what that is can be tough on your first try, but you can learn the trick here.

    How to Defeat The Sorrow

The encounter takes place on a river where you walk past ghostly figures. These figures are actually all the people you’ve killed during the game. The Shadow, The Fear, The End, and The Fury appear no matter what—you defeating them non-lethally or not, they explode afterward. The rest are people you actively killed.

As you walk past them, The Sorrow occasionally shoots ghostly projectiles at you. If one hits, it might give you a jump scare, but it won’t kill you. The main goal is to reach the end of the river.

Once you reach the end, Snake suddenly falls dead, making it seem like you’ve failed. But this is part of the process. When on the death screen, open your items and use the “revival pill.” Doing this will bring Snake back to life and trigger a cutscene. That moment means you’ve defeated The Sorrow. When you regain your items, you’ll also earn the Spirit camo.

This fight isn’t as complex as others, but figuring out how to survive it can be confusing.

    | You don’t have to reach the end of the river to finish the encounter. You can drown yourself and then use the revival pill to end it early. However, doing this won’t earn you the unique camo. |

  • How to Heal and Solve in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

How to Heal and Solve in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Healing in Snake Eater isn’t as simple as pressing a button to use a healing item. It involves multiple mechanics working together, and the injuries you sustain in combat will affect how you need to heal. Your ability to regenerate health normally depends on having enough stamina, which decreases when healing. If your stamina runs out, you won’t be able to heal or perform other stamina-dependent actions.

Keeping a steady food supply helps maintain your stamina, making healing easier when needed.

To heal, you’ll need to access the Cure section in the Survival Viewer, which becomes available after reaching a certain point in the game.

While damage reduces your overall health, certain types of injuries cause additional effects that aren’t fixed by stamina-based healing alone. These require specific items to treat properly.

Here’s a look at some healing items and their functions:

    – Disinfectant: Cleans a wounded area.
    – Styptic: Stops bleeding.
    – Splint: Stabilizes broken bones.
    – Bandage: Covers wounds and supports bones.
    – Suture Kit: Closes open wounds.
    – Serum: Cures poisoning.
    – Antidote: Treats food poisoning.
    – Cold Medicine: Heals colds.
    – Digestive Medicine: Eases stomachaches.
    – Survival Knife: Removes bullets and arrows.
    – Cigar: Eliminates leeches.
    – Ointment: Heals burns.

Sometimes, you might need to use several healing items on the same injury. In cases where you lack the right items to fully heal a wound, you may need to partially treat it or heal separate aspects step-by-step.

Very rare Life Medicine can restore overall health rather than specific injuries. Save these for when your health is critically low.

  • How to Overcome Pain in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing & Solving

How to Overcome Pain in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing & Solving

After beating Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you explore dark caves until you finally face The Pain. He’s the first member of the Cobra Unit you go up against.

The Cobra Unit is known for its dangerous members, and The Pain is no exception. Being able to control hornets makes him particularly threatening. It’s a tough fight, but here’s all the important info to help make it easier.

    The Pain’s Moves

The Pain has different offensive and defensive moves, all involving hornets. Here are the main ones and how to handle them:

Move What It Is and How to Deal With It
Hornet Armor When his body is covered with hornets, he can’t be damaged. To get rid of them, shoot with the M37 shotgun or throw a smoke grenade.
Aroma Jar He throws a bottle that breaks and releases an aroma attracting hornets. Stay away from him when this happens.
Hornet Grenade Hornets combine into balls heading toward you, acting like grenades. Run away or shoot them before they reach you.
Mimic Sometimes, there are two versions of The Pain on a rock. Shoot at the wrong one, and he stays protected. Guess the right one to make him vulnerable. It’s hard to tell which is real.
Tommy Gun Hornets summon a Tommy Gun that fires bullets. Dodge the bullets by moving around.
Bullet Hornets Later in the fight, hornets shoot like bullets. You can’t stop these; just dodge.

Most of these attacks can be avoided by diving underwater, as he struggles to attack you there.

    How to Defeat The Pain

There are two ways to finish him: lethal or non-lethal.

    • Lethal approach: Use weapons marked with a ‘DMG’ symbol to drain his health.
    • Non-lethal approach: Use ‘STN’ and ‘ZZZ’ weapons to deplete his stamina bar.

In either case, your main task is to shoot him repeatedly. The tricky part is finding the right moment to unload your shots.

When hornets are protecting him, you can throw smoke grenades or use the M37 shotgun to disperse them, creating an opening for attack. Otherwise, sneaking around underwater works best. Swim close to make him lose sight of you, then pop up to shoot. Weapons like handguns and the AK-47 can fire from the water, which helps with quick hits.

Note: Swimming underwater drains stamina quickly, so stock up on food. Frogs and crabs found in the caves can serve as useful snacks.

Once you’ve drained his health or stamina, the fight ends. If you choose the non-lethal route, you unlock the Hornet Stripe camouflage.

  • How to Defeat Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing and Solving

How to Defeat Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by Completing and Solving

After getting hit by Snake multiple times early in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Ocelot makes another appearance when you reach the crevice. This time, you can’t just rely on Snake knocking him out in a cutscene. You have to fight him directly in the game’s first boss battle.

This fight is a straight-up gunfight that tests your shooting skills. There’s no complicated trick to guarantee victory, but knowing some key details can help you succeed against the young Major. Here’s what you need to know.

    Ocelot’s Attacks

Since Ocelot is just a regular human, he doesn’t have any special powers like some other bosses. Instead, he simply shoots at you.

He doesn’t stand still and fire. Instead, he runs around his area, trying to get into good positions to shoot over or around your cover. He can also fire ricochet shots, where bullets bounce off rocks and trees before hitting you.

Visual aid: There’s an image of Ocelot spinning his revolver.

To defend yourself, use the environment—rocks and trees—as cover. You don’t need to press your body against them; just crouch down and move around, keeping the cover always between you and Ocelot.

The Ocelot Unit, watching the fight, usually doesn’t intervene since Ocelot wants to handle the fight alone. But if you do something they consider cheating—like using a rifle or grenades—they might step in, though this rarely causes major issues.

    How to Defeat Ocelot

Like with other bosses, you can reduce Ocelot’s health or stamina to end the fight. Whichever you choose, it’s important to plan your shots carefully. You should avoid shooting him when he’s aiming directly at you, as you’re more likely to get hit.

    When to Attack Ocelot

Visual aid: An image shows Snake in cover with a hornet’s nest above.

The best times to attack are:

    • While he’s reloading:
Watch his ammunition bar under his health meter. When all the bullets turn grey, he’ll go off to reload. You can shoot him while he’s running or reloading openly. The game shows a cutscene for reloading at first, but soon he’ll reload without it, giving you a clear window for attack.

    • When he’s grabbing his hat:
Shooting Ocelot can knock his hat off. He will eventually pick it up. When he does, he leaves himself open to attack—so strike then.

    • When he’s distracted by hornets:
Several hornet nests are nearby. Shooting them down when Ocelot is close will distract him. This creates an opportunity to shoot him, but his men may shoot back at you for doing this.

    Tips for Success

    • Shoot him during his reloads, especially when he’s reloading out in the open.
    • Knock off his hat to leave him vulnerable.
    • Use hornet nests as distractions to get free shots.

When either his health or stamina is fully depleted, the fight ends immediately. If you deplete his stamina, you’ll unlock the Animals camo.

  • Essential Tips for Completing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Essential Tips for Completing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is finally available, letting players relive what many consider the best Metal Gear Solid game. This remake features improved gameplay features, beautiful visuals, and the same voice cast we’ve come to love over the years. If you enjoyed the original, this version will definitely satisfy that nostalgia.

However, whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the series, you might notice some changes in this remake that could throw off even veteran players. There are several things to watch out for before you begin your covert mission into the USSR’s Tselinoyarsk.

When starting your first game, you’ll be asked a simple question: “Which METAL GEAR SOLID (MGS) game do you like?” with eight options. Your choice will determine the equipment you receive in the game, but the description doesn’t detail what each item does or its advantages. Some options provide much better benefits than others, so you might want to pick the answer that best matches your preferred playstyle.

    All Question And Answers Rewards

    Answer Equipment Bonus
I’m playing the MGS series for the first time! MUMMY (Uniform Camo) Prevents Snake from Bleeding
I like MGS 1! AUSCAM Desert (Uniform Camo) Doubles Snake’s recovery of LIFE gauge
DPM (Uniform Camo) Reduces damage taken by 1/3
I like MGS 2! DESERT TIGER (Uniform Camo) Suppressors won’t deteriorate
I like MGS 3! FLECKTARN (Uniform Camo) Batteries won’t run out when used
I like MGS 4! BROWN (Face Paint) Underwater or gas O2 won’t deplete

I like Peace Walker! BANANA (Uniform Camo) Food tastes better to Snake
I like MGS V! NATIONAL FLAGS (Face Paint) N/A
I like everything in the series! GRENADE (Uniform Camo) Grants Snake infinite grenades

Completing the game on any difficulty will unlock the other equipment for future uses in New Game Plus, but wearing these items may prevent you from earning certain in-game titles tied to difficulty levels.

    Your Difficulty Choice Is Permanent

After selecting your approach and style, you’ll choose a difficulty level—this decision cannot be changed later. The options include:

    • Very Easy: Focus on story.
    • Easy: Good for beginners.
    • Normal: Recommended for first-time players; balanced challenge.
    • Hard: For those familiar with the series looking for a challenge.
    • Extreme: Best for series veterans; very difficult.

If the difficulty feels too tough or too easy during your run, your only choice is to finish or restart with a different setting. Most players should aim for the normal difficulty, but checking out a detailed guide might help you pick the best one.

    Dragging Bodies Is Beneficial

Taking out enemies has its advantages. When enemies are knocked out or killed, their allies might discover the bodies, raising suspicion and alerting the area. To prevent this, you can hold the “Square/X” button to drag bodies to concealed spots like tall grass, lockers, or containers. Hiding bodies keeps areas quiet and can also yield extra supplies—enemies often drop items like ammunition, food, grenades, or equipment when moved.

    Exploration Is Crucial

Staying in one spot isn’t always efficient. Exploring every corner of each zone rewards careful players with useful gear—such as weapons, camouflage, and face paints. Collectibles like Kerotan Frogs and GA-KO Ducks unlock potent camouflage options, making subsequent runs easier even on the hardest difficulties. Always take your time to look around; many rewards are found off the beaten path.

Be Mindful of Your Camouflage Index

Your Camouflage Index, visible on the far right of your LIFE Gauge, indicates how well you blend into your environment. Moving around causes it to fluctuate in real-time. If it gets too low, enemies will spot you more easily. Using the Survival Viewer, you can review all camouflage options and their effectiveness for your current surroundings. Hiding in tall grass or against structures boosts your concealment. Regularly swapping camouflages and face paints to match the environment is vital; staying out of sight reduces the risk of detection.

    Prioritize Being Non-Lethal

While combat might seem tempting, a non-lethal approach offers significant benefits. It can unlock special equipment, unique uniforms, and titles, like ones preventing leeches or reducing weapon sway. Defeating certain bosses non-lethally can also give you powerful items or weapons. Performance in non-lethal runs can earn you in-game titles and achievements, some requiring you not to kill any human enemies throughout the game.

    Manage Your Stamina

Stamina affects many aspects of your gameplay:

    • Recovery rate of LIFE gauge.
    • Hand stability when aiming weapons.
    • Grip strength when hanging.
    • Oxygen capacity when submerged or in gases.

You must monitor and recover stamina by eating food, with preferred tasting foods giving better boosts. Be wary of spoiled food, which can harm your health and stamina recovery—discard rotten food immediately. Certain ailments like leeches or wounds can drain stamina if left unchecked; they can be cured with items like cigars or medical kits.

    Patience Is Key

Stealth is the cornerstone of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Patience and careful observation of enemy patrols will greatly improve your success. Enemies follow specific patterns, allowing you to strategize your movements. By studying their paths, you can sneak past patrols, land quiet takedowns, or set up sleeping darts at just the right moment. Moving slowly and deliberately will help you avoid detection and conserve resources, especially if you’re playing on lower difficulties where Sensor Items can make sneaking easier. Use all tools at your disposal to stay hidden and eliminate enemies quietly.

  • Completing Every Difficulty in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Completing Every Difficulty in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is finally here, bringing one of the series’ best games to modern consoles with stunning graphics and improved stealth gameplay. Moving through the jungle as Naked Snake has never felt more realistic and immersive, making it a great way for new players to experience the game or for longtime fans to revisit Kojima’s classic.

Before starting your mission, it’s helpful to understand how each difficulty level affects gameplay, what rewards are offered, and how it impacts your experience. Whether you’re new to the series or a seasoned veteran who’s played every game dozens of times, knowing this will help you pick the difficulty that’s right for you.

    Difficulty Overview

The difficulty setting in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater changes how tough certain parts of the game are. You can choose one that matches your skill level or your preferred challenge, which makes it easier for beginners to learn the mechanics without feeling overwhelmed.

Adjusting the difficulty can change Snake’s health bar size, increase enemy damage, or deactivate some gadgets—depending on how hardcore you want the game to be. But, before we go into details about each difficulty, a few important points should be noted, as they greatly influence your decision.

    You Cannot Change Difficulty Later

Once you pick a difficulty, you are locked into it until you finish the game. If it turns out to be too easy or too hard, you can’t switch it on the fly. You’ll need to start a new game if you want a different challenge.

While that might seem limiting, it makes sense since difficulty affects many game aspects. Changing it mid-game could disrupt the balance, so it’s best to choose carefully from the start.

New Game Plus Allows You To Select a New Difficulty

If you finish the game on a certain difficulty but want a different challenge on your next run, you can change the difficulty when starting a New Game Plus. This feature even applies if you haven’t completed the game on certain difficulties yet, providing a flexible way to replay the game at different levels of challenge.

Starting New Game Plus with a harder difficulty can make those challenges more manageable, so you might want to save the tougher modes for those subsequent playthroughs.

    Very Easy Difficulty

If you just want to enjoy the story without much trouble, Very Easy is the way to go. There are no special unlocks for this mode, so it’s mainly for those who are new to the game or series. Enemies deal almost no damage, have a hard time spotting you, and Snake’s health is doubled. You’ll also start with a special weapon—the EZ Gun—and have access to sensor devices like the active sonar, anti-personnel sensors, and motion detectors.

    Overview:

    Aspect Details
Snake Changes Health doubled, starts with EZ Gun (infinite suppressed tranquilizer)
Enemy Changes Significantly less damage, much lower detection abilities
Sensor Items Active Sonar, Anti-Personnel Sensor, Motion Detector
    Rewards None

    Easy Difficulty

A step up from Very Easy, Easy offers more challenge but remains accessible. Snake’s health increases by 1.5 times, enemies do less damage and are a bit harder to detect, but you still have access to sensor tools and handy gadgets.

This setting suits players who want a balanced experience without feeling overwhelmed, especially if you’ve played similar games before. It’s great for those new to the series or anyone wanting to just breeze through without much fuss.

    Overview:

    Aspect Details
Snake Changes Health increased by 1.5x
Enemy Changes Damage decreased, detection capabilities slightly reduced
Sensor Items Same as Very Easy
    Rewards None

    Normal Difficulty

Normal is the default experience, offering no adjustments. Nothing is altered for Snake or enemies, making it the intended challenge for the game. You’ll have access to all sensor items and gadgets, and there are no additional unlocks for completing it.

Completing the game on Normal in under 5.5 hours without using life medicine or special items awards you the “DOBERMAN” title, but there are no trophies tied to this difficulty.

    Overview:

    Aspect Details
    Snake Changes None
    Enemy Changes None
    Sensor Items Available
Rewards DOBERMAN title for fast, no-heal run

    Hard Difficulty

Hard increases enemy damage and detection skills, but Snake’s own health remains unchanged. Some sensor items become unavailable, which makes stealth more challenging.

Completing the game on Hard within five hours while losing no more than five life bars and avoiding life medicine or special items unlocks the “FOX” title. No trophies are awarded for this mode either.

    Overview:

    Aspect Details
    Snake Changes No changes
Enemy Changes Greater damage output, better detection
Sensor Items Limited (some become unavailable)
Rewards FOX title for fast, low-damage completion

    Extreme Difficulty

Extremely tough, this mode is for expert players. Snake’s health is reduced, and enemies dish out even more damage with improved detection—making stealth trickier. This mode is recommended only for experienced players or those testing their skills on their second or third run.

To unlock it, you must beat the game on Hard. Completing Extreme in under five hours, with minimal damage, no alerts, no continues, and without killing human enemies earns the “FOXHOUND” title and a special trophy.

    Overview:

    Aspect Details
Snake Changes Health reduced to 2/3 of normal
Enemy Changes Significantly higher damage, better detection
    Sensor Items None available
Rewards FOXHOUND title and trophy for excellent performance

    European Extreme Difficulty

The ultimate challenge unlocks after finishing Extreme once. It’s identical in terms of enemy strength and Snake’s health, but one critical difference: getting detected results in an immediate Game Over. This mode tests your perfect stealth skills, as any alert ends your run.

Like Extreme, completing it within five hours, with minimal damage, and without alerting or killing anyone earns the exclusive “FOXHOUND” title and trophy. It’s for players confident in their stealth mastery.

Choosing the right difficulty depends on your experience level and how much challenge you want. Remember, you’re locked into your choice unless you start a new game, but you can switch challenges in New Game Plus for future attempts.
