Digital Phablet – Show TV has officially announced the premiere date for its upcoming series, ‘Delikanlı’ (The Young Man), starring Mert Ramazan Demir.

The show, celebrated for its high production standards and deep storyline, is penned by Aybike Ertürk and her team. It marks a new chapter for Mert Ramazan Demir, who previously captured audiences with ‘Yalı Çapkını’ (The Seafarer), as he takes on a radically different role as ‘Yusuf’.

A strong competitor is arriving in the Monday night lineup—“Delikanlı” has generated significant excitement. Under the direction of Zeynep Günay and Recai Karagöz, written by Aybike Ertürk, and produced by OGM Pictures, insiders suggest that the first episode is set to air early next week on Show TV, with initial plans for Monday.

The latest updates point to the debut happening on Monday, April 6th. Will “Delikanlı” topple the reigning champion, “Uzak Şehir,” which has dominated for two consecutive seasons?

Melis Sezen will star as ‘Hazan,’ and the storyline promises to explore the gritty struggles for strength and survival amid an impossible love. Featuring star actors like Salih Bademci and Mina Demirtaş, “Delikanlı” is gearing up to offer a fresh perspective in the competitive Monday night slot. Here’s a look at the series’ plot, cast, and other details.

Yusuf (Mert Ramazan Demir), raised in the outskirts of Istanbul, is a cherished village youth dedicated to keeping his family united and standing against injustice. His greatest desire is to lead a modest, peaceful life with his childhood love, Hazan (Melis Sezen). Yet, fate unexpectedly pulls Yusuf into the depths of the underworld, where ruthless power struggles and stark class conflicts await.

Years later, Yusuf, who seems to have erased all traces of his past and adopted a new identity, finds everything has changed. Torn between the love he carries in his heart and a burning desire for revenge, he must confront long-buried secrets, wounds of the past, and sudden new feelings.

The official launch date of “Delikanlı,” a series already making waves with its trailers, is scheduled for Monday, April 6th, at 8 PM. Nora produced by OGM Pictures, this series is set to stake a strong claim in the fierce Monday night competition. Fans are already buzzing across social media with anticipation for Demir’s compelling portrayal of Yusuf, as the trailers have captured widespread attention.

One common question circulating is whether the plot is inspired by real events. While OGM Pictures typically produces content based on true stories—such as “Yalı Çapkını,” “Camdaki Kız,” and “Masumlar Apartmanı”—”Delikanlı” remains a work of fiction, scripted by Aybike Ertürk and her team.

Given the series’ focus on justice in the outskirts of Istanbul, class struggles, and the harsh realities of underground life, it presents a setting that feels both authentic and familiar. Yusuf’s journey from a humble neighborhood boy to a central figure in dangerous power plays unfolds within a narrative full of depth and social insight. It offers an “authentic” storytelling style, examining social dynamics and human psychology, all within a universe of past wounds and revenge, blending familiar streets with a world of dark secrets.

Cast of Delikanlı:

• Mert Ramazan Demir as Yusuf
• Melis Sezen
• Salih Bademci
• Mina Demirtaş

The series quickly gained attention through its trailers, which have already topped social media trends. Its debut episode is set to broadcast on Monday, April 6th, at 8 PM, promising a powerful entry into the competitive landscape of Turkish television.

Questions about whether the series is based on real events are common. Despite OGM Pictures’ reputation for producing inspired-by-true-story dramas, “Delikanlı” is entirely a fictional creation crafted by Aybike Ertürk and her team.

Because the series tackles themes of justice, class divisions, and the brutal underground world on the peripheries of Istanbul, it offers viewers a setting that feels remarkably genuine and relatable. Yusuf’s transformation from a neighborhood youth to a key player in the game of power, all within a realistically portrayed universe, explores social and psychological themes deeply while taking audiences through familiar streets and hidden worlds of dark secrets.
