  • Netanyahu Announces Successful Prostate Cancer Treatment

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Friday that he received successful treatment for early-stage prostate cancer, though he did not specify when the treatment took place. In a social media statement coinciding with the release of his annual medical report, Netanyahu, 76, shared that a malignant tumor was discovered during a routine checkup. He stated that targeted treatment had effectively addressed the issue, leaving no trace of the tumor.

The medical report confirmed that Netanyahu was in good health overall and had undergone radiation therapy for his early-stage prostate cancer. Neither the report nor Netanyahu disclosed the exact timing of the treatment. The Israeli leader explained that he delayed publishing the medical report for two months to prevent Iran from spreading false propaganda against Israel. In March, amid ongoing conflicts involving Iran, rumors circulated on social media and Iranian state media claiming Netanyahu had died. To counteract this, he released a video visiting a Jerusalem café to deny those claims.

In 2024, Netanyahu underwent prostate surgery after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by benign prostate enlargement. The year prior, he received a pacemaker. Upcoming elections in Israel are scheduled for October.

UK ex-doctor faces charges of sexual offences involving 38 patients

A former UK physician is facing numerous charges related to alleged sexual misconduct with 38 patients under his care, including a child under 13 years old, authorities have announced. Nathaniel Spencer, 38, who practiced in central England, is accused of multiple serious sexual offenses committed while working as a doctor in the region. These offenses include assault by penetration and sexual assault involving a minor.

The allegations against Spencer, based in Birmingham, stem from an investigation by Staffordshire Police into incidents at two regional publicly operated hospitals in Stoke-on-Trent and Dudley, spanning from 2017 to 2021. Prosecutors highlighted their extensive efforts to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully examining the evidence gathered. They determined there is enough evidence to proceed to trial, believing it serves the public interest to pursue criminal charges.

Spencer, who was a resident doctor—also known as a junior doctor in Britain—faces 15 counts of sexual assault, 17 counts of assault by penetration, and one count of attempted assault by penetration. Additional charges involve a dozen incidents involving a child under 13, including sexual assault and assault by penetration. Authorities have not disclosed the number of affected child victims.

He is scheduled to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on January 20 for his first court hearing.

  • How To Cure Sickness And Injuries in Vein Through Completing and Solving

How To Cure Sickness And Injuries in Vein Through Completing and Solving

In Vein, health problems are a tough part of survival, adding realism and tension to every choice in the post-apocalyptic world. Small issues like stomach aches or minor cuts can become serious if you ignore them. Each illness impacts you differently and needs specific treatment, so knowing how to handle infections, colds, or other ailments can help you last longer in the fight to survive. Here’s everything you need to know about sickness in Vein.

    Types of Sickness
There are various sicknesses in Vein, some easy to fix, others potentially deadly. Common problems like stomach aches and, to some extent, food poisoning, can be cured with Charcoal Tabs, while pain is manageable with painkillers. Mental health issues such as severe depression or anxiety, if severe enough, can cause death through stress or heart attacks. These are best treated with antidepressants or by taking a break to relax with a magazine. If you suspect an infection, take antibiotics or use the medical tab if available. For colds, chicken noodle soup and cold medicine help lower your temperature. Animal dewormers and flea medications give a temporary boost but don’t treat diseases; too much excitement from these meds can stress your heart, so don’t overdo it.

Choosing the doctor profession provides quick access to some medications, bandages, and bonuses to related stats.
The primary threat to your health remains zombies—they will bite, scratch, and attack relentlessly. Scratches heal over time, but sanitizing them with the right items prevents infection. If zombies or animals are particularly aggressive, a scratch can quickly turn into a wound needing proper treatment.

    Dealing with Wounds and Injuries
For deep or serious wounds, suture first, then apply sanitizer, and cover with a bandage. While bandages aren’t always needed for minor scratches or bites, they are essential for wounds to avoid bleeding out. Deep wounds require a compression bandage to control bleeding. The worse the wound, the sturdier the bandage should be. If you have a deep wound, use a compression bandage; for less severe cuts, simple bandages will do. Makeshift bandages and splints can be crafted by dismantling clothing or fabric items and finding other necessary materials, provided you have reading schematics—these spawn randomly.

    Infection Management & Medical Supplies
Many common disinfectants, like alcohol, are found in kitchens or around houses in neighborhoods. Look in places like bathrooms, hospitals, or quarantine zones to stock up on medical supplies. Disinfectants and med kits are your main defenses against infections and minor health issues.

    Types of Medications:

    • Blood Bags: Can extract and transfuse blood, providing plastic scraps when disassembled.
    • Antibiotics & Antibiotic Variants: Treat bacterial infections; stronger versions help you recover faster but won’t cure colds.
    • Antidepressants: Reduce depression and anxiety symptoms, especially useful during stressful situations.
    • Painkillers: Reduce mild to severe pain, with prescription painkillers being stronger.
    • Burn Cream & Charcoal Tabs: Heal burns and treat poisoning or stomach aches respectively.
    • Animal Medications: Dewormers, flea meds, and other animal treatments provide a temporary buff but don’t cure human illnesses.
    • Insulin: For diabetic characters, used with a syringe to decrease blood sugar.
    • Zombrin: Claims to stop zombie infections; however, it only provides a stimulation buff and doesn’t cure the infection once infected.
If your character is diabetic, starting with insulin and a syringe allows you to inject it by dragging the syringe onto the insulin vial in your inventory.

    Bandages, Splints, and Bone Treatment
Bandages and splints help treat injuries and broken bones. Dismantling fabric gives you materials for making makeshift bandages, while crafting schematics for splints spawn randomly.

    • Compression & Elastic Bandages stop bleeding.
    • Makeshift & Medical Splints treat sprains or fractures; the latter is a medical-grade item.
    • Animal splints exist but are less effective on humans.

    Disinfectants & Medical Kits
Disinfectants like alcohol (whiskey, vodka, gin) can be found with consumables in kitchens or around houses. Medical items are best located in places you’d expect, like bathrooms, hospitals, or quarantine zones.

    • Disinfectants & Med Kits help prevent infections and treat minor injuries:
      • Wipes, hand sanitizer disinfect wounds.
      • Needle & Thread is used to suture wounds if applied before bandaging.
      • Alcoholic drinks (vodka, whiskey, gin) can be used to disinfect scratches and can also be consumed for a quick boost if needed.
      • Blood test kits tell you your blood type.
      • First aid, clinic, military, and survival kits contain a variety of medical items to treat injuries.

Handling Serious Conditions & Infection Outcomes
Most ailments are manageable, but once you see “Sick?” in your medical tab, it’s time to treat the condition. If it states you’re sick but not critically, use the appropriate methods to fight the sickness. If the screen reads “Sick?” indicating zombie infection, there’s no cure—you’re infected and will get worse until death. Upon dying from the infection and respawning, your zombie self will be waiting where you died, so plan accordingly if you have stored items or made arrangements for your gear.

  • Where to Find All Required Rooms for Completing Medical Merchandise in Arc Raiders

Where to Find All Required Rooms for Completing Medical Merchandise in Arc Raiders

While your main goal in Arc Raiders is to loot items and upgrade your equipment, you also have a side task of completing quests for different traders in Speranza. These quests make up most of your progress in the game. However, many of these quests can be frustrating because they require you to reach specific locations.

One such quest is Medical Merchandise. It asks you to find three specific rooms or buildings on particular maps and search containers inside them. Once you know the routes to these rooms, getting there becomes much easier.

Where to find the medical room in Dam Battlegrounds

The first location for this quest is in the Research & Development building in Dam Battlegrounds, marked with a red boundary on the map’s lower middle area. Since this is a high-loot zone, expect to encounter many players. Luckily, if you follow the correct path, you won’t spend much time inside the building.

Start by heading to the southern edge of the building, near the red boundary. Find the stairs that lead to the top floor through a back entrance. Take these stairs up and go into the first room you see at the top. Exit through the door on your right.

Once you exit, turn left and go straight down the hallway. Be prepared for turrets and other enemies guarding the area, so be ready to fight. When you reach the hallway’s end, the medical room will be on your left. Search containers inside to complete this part of the quest.

Where to find the hospital in Buried City

This part is the easiest. The hospital is clearly visible on the Buried City map, marked with a red loot icon. Enter the building, which is easy to spot. Head upstairs and loot containers in any room. Loot three containers, and the quest step will be done.

Where to find the exam room in Spaceport

The last location is inside the Departure Building at Spaceport. It can be tricky because the exam room doesn’t look like an obvious medical room. To find it, enter the Departure Building through the main entrance. You’ll see a broken staircase leading up to the first floor.

Once there, turn around and walk straight down the hallway, then turn right into another corridor. In the darker section of this hallway with a roof overhead, look for an open room ahead. Enter this room, then go into the room on the left—the exam room.

The exam room is right next to a hospital room, making it easier to identify. Look for experiment benches with white chemical bottles in the center; that’s the key indicator. Once you locate it, you’ve found the final location for the Medical Merchandise quest.

  • Where to Farm Rusted Shut Medical Kits in Arc Raiders: Completing and Solving

Where to Farm Rusted Shut Medical Kits in Arc Raiders: Completing and Solving

To improve your experience in Arc Raiders, make sure to upgrade all the stations in your Workshop. One of the most important is the Medical Lab, which allows you to craft strong healing items using scrap you collect while playing. To do this, you need to gather different items of varying rarity, including the Rusted Shut Medical Kit.

At first glance, the Rusted Shut Medical Kit might seem like a useless item, but it’s actually a key resource for upgrading your Medical Lab to Level 3. During your gameplay, aim to pick up at least three of these kits.

Where to find Rusted Shut Medical Kits?
You can locate these kits at places that focus on medical supplies. Although they appear in several spots across two main maps, the best locations to find them are:

    – Hospital, Research, and Plaza Rosa in Buried City
    – Testing Annex in Dam Battlegrounds

Among these, I recommend checking out the Hospital in Buried City first. This is the only dedicated medical location in the game right now, so the loot isn’t split with other types of supplies as it is in other areas.

Located in the northern part of the map, the Hospital is a large building with three floors you can explore. Two of these floors contain loot. Keep in mind, many players also go there, so you might run into other players or find the location already looted.

If you don’t find what you need at the Hospital, your next best bet is the Testing Annex in the southeastern part of Dam Battlegrounds. While this location shares its loot pool with the Commercial Goods category, I’ve had a good chance of finding at least one Rusted Shut Medical Kit each time I’ve checked there.

Most of the lootable areas where these kits appear are on the second floor, particularly on the western side of the building. Inside, there’s a corridor filled with shelves, medical tables, and drawers—ample spots to search through, as shown in the picture above. The building is also conveniently located near the Red Lakes Balcony Lift, which can help you escape quickly.

Be careful—this area sees a lot of chaos, with Leapers and Rocketeers often hanging around the Testing Annex, so stay alert.

Additionally, several other locations in Buried City can have Rusted Shut Medical Kits, like Research, Piazza Arbusto, and Plaza Rosa. Of these, Plaza Rosa and Research are more likely to have the kits, but they are harder to find. Only visit these if you’re already passing through or have completed visits to the other sites.

Once you find a Rusted Shut Medical Kit, it’s a good idea to store it in your Safe Pocket. Since these kits are not very common, you’ll want to keep it safe from enemies or accidental drops to ensure you can use it when you need it most.

  • Trump, Oldest U.S. President, in ‘Excellent’ Health: Doctor

Trump, Oldest U.S. President, in ‘Excellent’ Health: Doctor

Donald Trump is in “excellent overall health,” according to his doctor, following his second medical exam of the year. The 79-year-old — the oldest person ever elected president in U.S. history — was examined at Walter Reed Military Hospital outside Washington, D.C., earlier today.

When asked about the results upon returning to the White House, Trump gave a thumbs-up. His physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, confirmed in a White House statement that Trump “continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.”

The doctor noted that Trump’s cardiac age, which is a measure of cardiovascular health based on an ECG, was roughly 14 years younger than his actual age. Trump is able to maintain his busy daily routine without any restrictions.

A series of routine tests were performed, and Trump received both an updated COVID-19 booster shot and his annual flu vaccination, Barbabella added.

This exam follows just three months after the White House revealed Trump was diagnosed with a vein condition, amid concerns about frequent bruising and swollen legs. Despite already having a standard annual checkup in April, the White House recently described Friday’s visit as an “annual” physical.

In a brief statement Thursday, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he was planning a “semi-annual” checkup. He said, “I’m in great shape, but I’ll let you know. So far, I feel very good physically and mentally.”

He went on to compare his health to that of past presidents, saying he underwent a cognitive assessment during his last checkup — which he claimed he aced, scoring perfectly. Trump asserted that neither Barack Obama nor George W. Bush had taken such an exam, but he had. He added, “Biden wouldn’t have gotten the first three questions right.”

Trump has faced repeated questions about transparency regarding his health, especially considering public interest in the well-being of the president. In September, he dismissed false social media rumors claiming he had passed away.

Back in July, the White House announced Trump had a chronic but benign vein disorder called chronic venous insufficiency, which was linked to bruising on his hand and swelling in his legs. The hand issue was attributed to aspirin he takes daily for cardiovascular health. Despite appearances at public events with heavy makeup concealing the bruising, White House officials maintained he was in good health during his last checkup, with normal heart function and no signs of systemic illness or organ failure.

LONDON: A married Pakistani doctor, Dr. Suhail Anjum, allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a nurse in an operating room while a patient was under anesthesia, a medical tribunal has said.

Dr. Anjum, 44, and the nurse involved have not been publicly named, but they were found in a “compromising position” by a startled colleague who walked into the operating theater at Tameside Hospital.

The hospital’s lead anesthetist had requested another nurse to observe the male patient during the procedure so he could take a short break. Instead of returning promptly, Dr. Anjum went to a nearby operating theater at the hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, where he was found having sex with “nurse C.”

Andrew Molloy, representing the General Medical Council (GMC), stated that Dr. Anjum was overseeing five cases in operating theater five on September 16, 2013, and he left during the third case.

Shortly after, “nurse NT” entered theater eight and encountered Dr. Anjum and nurse C in a compromising situation. Molloy described her account, saying she saw nurse C with her trousers around her knees and her underwear visible while Dr. Anjum was tying his trousers.

Nurse NT was visibly shocked and quickly exited the theater. Dr. Anjum returned to theater five but was absent for approximately eight minutes before coming back.

Molloy clarified that no harm was caused to the patient during Dr. Anjum’s brief absence and the procedure continued without further issues. The nurse reported the incident to her supervisor.

Prior to the GMC hearing, Dr. Anjum admitted to the allegations, acknowledging that he engaged in sexual activity with nurse C and was aware she was nearby when he left his patient. He conceded that his actions could have compromised patient safety.

He disclosed that he left Tameside Hospital in February 2024 and returned to his homeland, Pakistan. Nevertheless, he expressed a desire to restart his medical career in the UK and assured that such an incident was a “one-off mistake” and would not happen again.

During the tribunal, Dr. Anjum described the incident as “shameful” and admitted to letting everyone down—including his patients, colleagues, and the hospital’s trust.

He explained that he felt he was unfairly asked to have the anesthesia nurse cover for him and acknowledged the uncomfortable position he caused for nurse NT.

He emphasized that his foremost concern was the patient, lamenting that his departure without informing staff deeply affected him.

With remorse, he said, “I hold myself to very high standards because I am passionate about my work. I don’t know how this happened, but I sincerely wish I could undo it. I apologize to everyone affected and hope for a chance to make amends.”

Dr. Anjum cited personal stress stemming from the premature birth of his youngest child in January 2023 as a contributing factor.

He detailed the trauma of his wife’s difficult delivery and their subsequent emotional disconnection, which affected his mental health, personal life, and professional performance.

The Manchester hearing continued on Friday, with the panel considering whether Dr. Anjum’s conduct warrants finding his fitness to practice impaired due to misconduct. A decision is expected within a few weeks.

  • Decline of the Y Chromosome: Are Men at Risk of Extinction?

Decline of the Y Chromosome: Are Men at Risk of Extinction?

Although this may sound alarming, it’s important to delve into the science behind the Y chromosome’s decline and assess whether it truly signals the end of the male gender.

The Y Chromosome: A Pillar of Male Biology

The Y chromosome is crucial for male development. It carries the SRY gene, which initiates the formation of male characteristics, such as testes and male hormones. This chromosome is unique to males, passed nearly unchanged from father to son, which has made it a valuable tool for tracing paternal lineage and studying human ancestry. Besides sex determination, the Y chromosome also influences male fertility; genetic conditions linked to it can impact a man’s ability to have children, highlighting its role in reproduction.

    Google DeepMind

    The Y Chromosome’s Decline

Over the past 166 million years, the Y chromosome has been losing its genetic material. It originally contained over 900 genes but now retains only about 55 active ones. This gradual loss is due to the Y chromosome’s limited ability to undergo genetic recombination, which accelerates its decay. If this trend continues, the Y chromosome might disappear completely within the next 11 million years.

    Surviving Without the Y Chromosome

The potential loss of the Y chromosome does not necessarily spell the end for a species. In fact, two rodent species, the mole voles of Eastern Europe and the spiny rats of Japan, have already lost their Y chromosomes and continue to thrive. In these rodents, genes formerly on the Y chromosome have moved to other chromosomes, enabling the continuation of male offspring.

A 2022 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences revealed that the spiny rat evolved a new male-determining gene located near the SOX9 gene on chromosome 3, replacing the lost SRY gene. This adaptation offers a potential model for how humans might develop a new sex-determining mechanism if the Y chromosome were to disappear.

The Future of Humanity: Will Men Survive?

The disappearance of the Y chromosome could have significant implications for the future of humanity. Unlike some reptiles that reproduce asexually, mammals—including humans—require both sperm and eggs for reproduction. If the Y chromosome were to vanish without a replacement system, it could pose a threat to the survival of men and, consequently, the human species.

The evolution of a new male-determining gene, as seen in spiny rats, suggests that a similar adaptation could occur in humans. However, this process carries risks. If different human populations develop distinct sex-determining systems, it might lead to the emergence of separate human species, each with its own unique chromosomes.
