Completing the Flight Drone MCU in Metroid Prime 4: Solving Guide

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been officially launched. Grab your arm cannon, stock up on Energy Tanks, and prepare to fight off alien threats. Players again take on the role of bounty hunter Samus Aran, exploring a strange planet filled with secrets, collectibles, and enemies to defeat.

One mini-boss you’ll face is the Flight Drone MCU. This appears after activating the Tower 2 generator in the Volt Forge area. The drone is powerful and tricky to beat if you don’t know how to handle it. Here’s what you need to do to defeat the Flight Drone MCU.

The Flight Drone MCU has an energy shield protecting its core, making it resistant to most attacks. To disable the shield and cause the drone to malfunction, you need to destroy the three floating orbs circling around its body. Unlike the Carvex fight, all three orbs must be destroyed nearly simultaneously.

When the fight starts, scan the drone and target the smaller drones flying around it. Use charged shots to take them out quickly, thinning their numbers before launching a counterattack. Clearing these drones will make the main fight easier.

The drone has basic attacks based on the position of the energy spheres. If they’re vertical, it will charge a laser beam or shoot electrified orbs. Both attacks can be dodged by sidestepping quickly.

Watch for when the energy spheres move horizontally and spin around the drone. This is your cue to enter scan mode and fire a Control Beam shot by holding and releasing the A button. This shot allows you to guide a beam around the drone, hitting and destroying all three energy spheres. Be careful if you accidentally hit a cluster of floating drones, as this will cancel your shot. If that happens, switch to Morph Ball mode and roll under the drone as it approaches.

Once all the energy spheres are destroyed, the drone will short-circuit and its shield will drop. Take this opportunity to fire missiles at the drone. After a few moments, the shield will come back, and more smaller drones will swarm the boss. Repeat the process of destroying the energy spheres and attacking until the mini-boss is defeated. The fight usually lasts for two stages. Spamming missiles during shield downtime can speed things up.

As a reward, you won’t get any special gear for defeating the Flight Drone MCU, but successfully overcoming the challenge is an accomplishment.

Spider-Man 4 Cast Welcomes Sadie Sink From Stranger Things

Spider-Man 4 is casting its net toward Hawkins, Indiana, as it welcomes Stranger Things star Sadie Sink into the fold.

According to Deadline, Sink will join Tom Holland, who reprises his role as Peter Parker.

Details about Sink’s character remain under wraps, though her part is anticipated to be “significant.” Some speculations have emerged linking her to the X-Men franchise. In December, Jeff Sneider reported that she’s in the mix to potentially portray Jean Grey within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Given her red hair, there’s also speculation about her playing a new version of Mary Jane Watson. However, none of these casting rumors have been officially confirmed.

Sink is widely recognized for her role as Max Mayfield on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, which has recently concluded production on its fifth and final season, set to debut later this year. Additionally, she will appear in O’Dessa, a Hulu post-apocalyptic musical premiering on March 20.

The X-Men are set to join the MCU soon, as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has announced that the “Mutant Era” is now underway, following the success of Deadpool & Wolverine. With Grey being a crucial character in the X-Men lore, her introduction alongside Spider-Man could be a strategic move.

As for the rest of the cast, Zendaya is expected to return as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, although she has yet to finalize her contract. It remains uncertain if other actors from the previous Holland-led trilogy, including Jacob Batalon as Ned, will reprise their roles in Spider-Man 4.

Holland’s fourth installment as Spider-Man serves as a sequel to the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the finale of No Way Home, Peter Parker uses Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) spell to make the world forget him for the greater good of the universe. Although everyone forgets Peter Parker, Spider-Man’s legacy continues, evident in the concluding scene featuring his new suit.

Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct Spider-Man 4, with Sony’s Amy Pascal and Feige onboard as producers. Production is anticipated to begin once Holland completes filming for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey.

However, following a surprise appearance in last summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Evans is confirmed to return in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The big question now is: which character will he portray? The answer may not be as straightforward as it seems.

Given the ongoing Multiverse Saga in the MCU, it's entirely possible for Evans to appear as an alternate version of Captain America or even as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, as he did in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, famed for their work on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, are set to return to the MCU to direct both Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Besides Evans and Downey, the rest of the main cast has yet to be confirmed. Reports suggest that Marvel’s new Fantastic Four members—Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—will feature in Doomsday, though no official announcements have been made regarding their next appearance following The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

James Gunn Aims to Dodge MCU’s Biggest Mistake for DC Universe

Kevin Feige Discusses MCU Future With Fantastic Four X-Men

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for a new era of superheroes, prominently featuring the Fantastic Four. This iconic team is poised to make their debut in the upcoming film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. During Disney’s APAC Content Showcase in Singapore, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that production on First Steps is nearly wrapped up. Following their introduction, Feige anticipates that this supergroup will become a significant component of the MCU, particularly in future Avengers films.

“Finally, we’re excited to bring Marvel’s First Family into the MCU,” Feige shared (via Deadline). “Filming will conclude next week, with the movie set to release next summer. After that, these characters will seamlessly transition into the next wave of Avengers films, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the future of the Fantastic Four.”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps marks the beginning of Phase Six in the MCU, featuring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Directed by Matt Shakman, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.

After introducing the Fantastic Four, the spotlight will shift to the much-anticipated arrival of the X-Men. Feige expressed his excitement about regaining the rights to the X-Men, calling it a “dream.” He hinted that fans might see some familiar mutants pop up in upcoming MCU releases. This buildup is all leading to Avengers: Secret Wars, which will usher in Marvel’s mutant saga.

“I think audiences will see some X-Men characters reappear in our next films. After that, the plot of Secret Wars will truly set the stage for a new era featuring the X-Men,” Feige noted. “It’s a dream come true that we finally have the X-Men back in the fold.”

WandaVision Creator Unveils Scrapped MCU Cameo
When Marvel Studios’ WandaVision debuted in early 2021, it generated a flurry of fan speculations, many of which proved to be off the mark. Among the most famous was the theory suggesting that the mysterious red-skinned character Mephisto would emerge as the show’s hidden antagonist. However, another widespread rumor circulating in the weeks before the show’s finale was the potential for Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, to make an unexpected cameo.

In the end, that cameo didn’t materialize, but it seems fans were not entirely off-base. In a recent conversation with Variety, Jac Schaeffer, who created WandaVision and the spinoff Agatha All Along, disclosed that Doctor Strange was indeed slated to appear in the series. When asked about any discarded post-credits scenes she had written for Marvel, Schaeffer revealed, “Yes. I’ll share this one, as it’s been a while, and the statute of limitations might be up. Originally, Doctor Strange was supposed to show up in the tag for WandaVision.”

Schaeffer elaborated on the scrapped scene, saying, “It’s Wanda sitting on the porch of that cabin, peacefully rocking in her chair. You know how Strange can create those circles to teleport someone? The circle forms around her, indicating she’s about to be transported, but she halts it, insisting that Strange must come to her instead. I loved that concept, as it portrays Wanda saying, ‘No, I won’t go where you want to teleport me. You need to come to my door.’ It was a great idea, but ultimately, another scene was chosen.”

Instead of the originally planned idea, the final scene showcases Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) residing in her secluded cabin. However, rather than her serene life being disrupted by Doctor Strange, the post-credits scene culminates in Wanda’s astral projection intensely poring over the enigmatic Darkhold tome while hearing the voices of her children, Billy and Tommy, seeking her assistance. This moment sets the stage for the plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda’s pursuit to cross into another universe to find her sons leads her down a darker path.
