Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses Get Coperni’s High Fashion Upgrade

Meta achieved an unexpected hit with its Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses, and now it's returning with a fresh take. At Paris Fashion Week, the company unveiled the Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni Limited Edition Glasses.

Introduced as part of Coperni’s Fall Winter 25 collection, these glasses mark the brand's first-ever collaboration in fashion. The collaboration combines Ray-Ban’s iconic Wayfarer style with a translucent twist on a black-grey frame.

Inspired by last year's limited-edition transparent models, the Coperni variant also features a see-through frame paired with grey mirrored lenses. To cap it off, a distinct Coperni logo is emblazoned on the arm of the glasses.

If you find these new smart glasses appealing, you’ll need a bit of luck and a sizeable budget. Only 3,600 units of the Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni Limited Edition smart glasses will be available, beginning Monday.

Additionally, they are priced higher than the standard Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which start at $299 in the U.S. The Coperni edition will cost $549 per pair. Sales commence at 1 AM (PDT) / 9 AM (CET) on Monday through Meta, Ray-Ban, and Coperni’s online shops.

    What are their benefits?

Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the standout feature of these glasses is an improved 12-megapixel sensor capable of taking photos at a resolution of 3024 x 4032 pixels, while recording video at 1440 x 1920 pixels at 30fps.

The built-in 32GB storage can accommodate over 500 photos or around 100 thirty-second video clips, with a battery life of approximately four hours per charge. These glasses are also designed for video calls and live streaming.

A noteworthy yet underrated feature of these smart glasses is the onboard Meta AI. Users can request it to scan QR codes within the camera's field of view, translate text, identify objects and music (using Shazam), provide historical insight about landmarks, take notes for future reference, and much more.

These glasses also enable control of media playback from Spotify and Amazon Music through natural language voice commands, alongside a live translation feature that supports real-time translation in English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are designed for social media sharing and maximizing the capabilities of Meta AI on a less resource-intensive device. Meta is also developing the Orion smart glasses featuring holographic displays and the Aria Gen 2 models, which will include functionalities such as heart rate monitoring intended for research applications.

During last night’s Game Awards, it was confirmed that the Illuminate have made their arrival, and they look ominous enough to make any Helldiver sweat. Of course, the defenders of Super Earth won’t show their fear; instead, they’re more likely to grab this new limited-edition Helldivers II controller and return to the fight. The good news is that this controller will be available for preorder starting at 10 a.m. ET on December 20, with an initial price of $85. It is set to officially launch on February 6, 2025.

If you missed this news, there’s no need to panic—it was announced via a PlayStation blog post and a YouTube trailer, making it easier to overlook amid all the other premieres. Keep in mind that this controller is expected to be in high demand, so securing one may prove difficult. There has been no official word on which retailers will offer it, but it’s advisable to keep an eye on the following stores if you want to snag one:

    • PlayStation Direct
    • Walmart
    • Amazon
    • Best Buy
    Featured Videos

All of these stores have offered limited-edition controllers in the past, but customers in Europe can only preorder through PlayStation Direct.

The trailer from last night showcased the newest faction in Helldivers II, including fast-recon vehicles for the whole squad, new weaponry, and a variety of additional features. The combat mechanics are also evolving, shifting from the expansive battlefields to the narrow streets and tight alleys that may lead to an even more intense experience than before. With the new update live now, you don’t have to wait before jumping back into the action.

Mod Bikes Unveils BMW-Inspired Sidecar E-Bike Edition

Mod Bikes has unveiled the limited-edition Mod Easy Sidecar Sahara, a cargo e-bike inspired by the iconic 1940s BMW R75 Sahara motorcycle. The Sidecar Sahara is set to make its debut on November 9, 2024, at the Electrify Expo located at the Circuit of the Americas racetrack in Austin, Texas.

    Mod’s Unique Take on Sidecars

    Detachable Sidecar

The e-bike takes cues from the highly sought-after BMW R 75 Sahara motorcycle, which is a prized collectible among enthusiasts. Mod Bikes stands out in the U.S. e-bike market by offering models equipped with sidecars, showcasing a variety of designs. The innovative Easy Sidecar models can easily convert from a sidecar e-bike to a standard two-wheeler in just a few minutes, making them both practical and fun for transporting pets, small children, groceries, and other cargo.

The sidecar features a detachable seat secured with a seatbelt for safety.

Key Features of the Mod Easy Sidecar Sahara

The Mod Easy Sidecar Sahara offers similarities to the Mod Easy Sidecar 3 e-bike I reviewed back in April 2024. However, Mod has enhanced this version with a dual-crown motorcycle-style front suspension system, a longer sidecar frame, two headlights, and an elevated cargo rack.

Additionally, Mod has integrated a rear doggie door into the sidecar design. Unlike the previous model, which required a person to lift a pet into the sidecar, this new door allows pets to hop in on their own, making it a more inviting setup for furry companions.

The Easy Sidecar Sahara maintains the same powertrain specifications as the standard model, featuring torque-sensing pedal assist, a robust 750-watt continuous rear hub motor capable of reaching speeds up to 28 mph, and a range of 50 to 100 miles based on riding conditions, total weight, and other factors. The bike can support up to 400 pounds, with a maximum of 150 pounds in the sidecar and an additional 65-pound capacity on the versatile Snap-On rear rack.

The starting price for the Mod Easy Sidecar limited edition is $3,899, with an introductory offer of $3,499 available until December 1, 2024.
