  • How to Complete the Dissolution of Time Incantation and Solve in Hades 2

How to Complete the Dissolution of Time Incantation and Solve in Hades 2

If you’re after Entropy in Hades 2, you’re close to reaching what is considered the technical end of the story. By this point, you should have completed multiple runs through both the Olympus and Underworld routes and unlocked the Dissolution of Time spell.

When you unlock this spell and Disintegration of Monstrosity, each will require a special ingredient to cast. These ingredients are different, and you’ll need to finish Disintegration of Monstrosity before you can complete Dissolution of Time.

How to Cast Disintegration of Monstrosity and Unlock Entropy

As mentioned earlier, the special item needed for Dissolution of Time—Entropy—can only be obtained after casting Disintegration of Monstrosity. Every time you’ve tried to defeat Typhon, he’s never truly been defeated, and there’s a good reason for that.

To finally defeat him for good, you must cast Disintegration of Monstrosity and then fight Typhon one last time. To do this, you’ll need the following items:

Image Item Needed How to Get It
4x V-lens Each time you defeat Typhon, you get one V-lens. You need four to proceed.
Z-sand 1x Z-sand Collected each time you defeat Chronos. While one Z-sand is enough for the spell, you’ll need five for Dissolution of Time. So, you’ll need to defeat Chronos at least six times.
Gigaros 1x Mystery Item (Gigaros) This turns out to be Hades’ spear. After defeating Chronos multiple times and chatting with Zagreus, he will eventually suggest how to beat Typhon. He’ll leave Hades’ spear in his room for you to collect after your sixth run with Chronos.

Once you gather everything to cast Disintegration of Monstrosity, cast it and then do a surface run back to Olympus.

Gaining the Mystery Item for Dissolution of Time

Obtaining Gigaros will reveal the mystery item for Dissolution of Time: Entropy. When you reach Typhon again, this final battle will be different—you will defeat him once and for all. After this defeat, Typhon will drop his essence, Entropy.

How to Cast Dissolution of Time

Now that you have Entropy, you likely also have enough Z-sand, since by this stage, collecting five is straightforward. With everything in hand, you can cast Dissolution of Time.

Once cast, things play out similarly to your previous fight with Typhon. Finish one last run in the Underworld to face Chronos for the final time. This run will be distinct from earlier ones, indicating you’re nearing the story’s conclusion.

After defeating Chronos with Dissolution of Time active, you’ll be taken directly to the ending scene. You’ll see the ending credits of Hades 2, but the game isn’t truly over if you want to keep playing. Plenty of post-game content remains for you to explore.

The Godskin Apostle serves as a formidable obstacle on your journey. This powerful enemy wields a sickle and employs black flame incantations to damage players. The key to overcoming the Godskin Apostle is to keep your distance, striking only when an opportunity arises.

Once the Apostle’s health dips below 40%, he transitions to a more aggressive second phase, where he becomes more violent in his attacks and extends his upper body.

Be cautious and evade when the Godskin Apostle slams his weapon into the ground; this move indicates an area-of-effect attack.

While Scouring Black Flame has a longer range than the Black Flame incantation, the latter offers higher raw damage output. Ultimately, choosing between them comes down to personal preference, especially since Scouring Black Flame excels against larger, less-mobile enemies.

You can access this area right after you exit Stormveil Castle, following your victory over Godrick the Grafted.

Head west and descend to find the Site of Grace. You will need to summon Torrent to use the Spiritspring Jump to scale the cliff.

Once you reach the cliff, turn around, and you will spot the Malefactor’s Evergaol encircled by stone snakes.

A nearby stake of Marika will assist in respawning should you fall in battle.

Adan, the Thief of Fire, is a human NPC wielding the Flame of the Fell God along with a whip. He can inflict Blood Loss with his hits, so it’s wise to maintain your distance during the fight.

To defeat Adan effectively, utilize jump attacks (Jump + Heavy Attack) and retreat afterward. This strategy can take him down relatively quickly. Once you triumph over him, you’ll be rewarded with the Flame of the Fell God incantation.

Flame of the Fell God: Stats and Requirements

Inflicting fire damage, the Flame of the Fell God excels against slow-moving foes, such as the Erdtree Avatar. While it stands as one of the premier incantations for Pyromancy Builds, its high FP consumption may pose a challenge later in your adventure.

This incantation has a range of 4 meters (or 5 when charged) and inflicts both Holy and Stance damage on enemies. It pairs well with the Godfrey Icon talisman, which boosts its effectiveness by 15%.

Unlocking the Dragonfire Spell in Elden Ring: A Guide

Unlocking the Power of Dragonfire in Elden Ring

In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to obtain the Dragonfire incantation and strategize its use for effectively ridding yourself of enemies in both PvE and PvP scenarios.

Where to Find Dragonfire in Elden Ring

To acquire the Dragonfire incantation, you must trade one dragon heart at either the Church of Dragon Communion or the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.

    How to Obtain Dragon Hearts:
You can secure a dragon heart by defeating some of the formidable dragons scattered throughout the Lands Between. A great place to start is with the Flying Dragon Agheel, located near the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Central Limgrave, which is considered the easiest dragon to tackle.

Additionally, two other dragons worth battling are Glintstone Dragon Smarag in northern Liurnia and Decaying Ekzykes in northern Caelid. Once you defeat a dragon, you’ll receive a dragon heart as a reward, which is essential for obtaining incantations from the Dragon Communion.

    Church of Dragon Communion location

Accessing the Church of Dragon Communion:
This location is situated in western Limgrave. To reach it, venture through the Coastal Cave, which is a part of Boc’s Questline. The entrance to this cave can be found along Limgrave’s western coastline.

Finding the Cathedral of Dragon Communion:

    Coastal cave location

After reaching either site, simply exchange one dragon heart to obtain Dragonfire.

    Dragonfire Stats and Requirements

Dragonfire is classified as a Dragon Communion incantation, necessitating 15 Faith and 12 Arcane for its casting, alongside one memory slot. It consumes 28 FP and 40 Stamina when used.

    Dragonfire stats

While Dragonfire boasts significant fiery potency, it’s important to note that it cannot be cast while jumping. However, it can be executed while mounted on Torrent. To utilize this incantation, you’ll need either a Staff or a Sacred Seal.

With its damage capabilities, Dragonfire is especially effective when incorporated into Faith builds, even though it may not be the central focus of a dedicated build. It’s worth mentioning that as a standalone incantation, it lacks the long-range capabilities necessary to dominate end-game content, despite having decent scaling with Faith.

For comparison, while Agheel’s Flame may offer more damage, its slow casting time makes Dragonfire a more practical option in certain scenarios.

In summary, whether you’re looking to decimate enemies or simply wield the awe-inspiring force of dragon fire, mastering the Dragonfire incantation can definitely provide you with an edge in your Elden Ring adventures.
