How to complete Altar Teleportation and solve Romestead puzzles

Fast travel in Romestead isn’t available right from the start—you’ll have to earn it. The game revolves around using altar teleportation, a skill that lets you teleport between locations once you’ve set it up properly.

The good news is that setting it up is simpler than it might seem at first. With some knowledge, you can create a basic outpost that has only a single upgraded altar, staffed by just one person, dedicated to fast travel. This guide will explain how to unlock the Altar Teleport skill and how to build the upgraded Altar needed to use it.

Romestead is currently in Early Access, so details may change as development continues.

    How to Unlock Altar Teleportation

Altar Teleport is a Rank 2 skill located in the Mercury skill tree. It costs two Worship points to unlock. But before you can see it as an option, you must first complete the Giant Owl quest. Finishing this quest unlocks both the Carpenter building type and the ability to upgrade your Altar to Level 2—both necessary for fast travel.

After completing the Giant Owl quest and earning two Worship points, go to the Mercury skill tree and select Altar Teleport. To unlock this, you’ll need to make enough offerings to Hermes.

Once you upgrade your Altar, you’ll be able to access the Teleport button, which allows you to instantly travel to any other upgraded Altar you’ve placed.

How to Build a Level 2 Altar

A Level 2 Altar is the minimum required to use the Altar Teleport skill. You don’t need a full settlement to get one—just a small, basic outpost with these four structures:

    1. A Workbench—needed to establish a settlement flag and start a new town.
    2. A Material Storage.
    3. A Carpenter’s Workshop.
    4. An Altar.

With these structures in place, you only need to gather some accessible trees and rocks nearby, which is enough to set up a reliable fast travel point.

Importantly, you don’t need to assign someone to work at the Carpenter’s Workshop. Having it built is enough to upgrade the Altar. This means you can set up a dedicated fast-travel outpost almost anywhere on the map without it affecting your main settlement’s workforce.

How to Complete the Senor Otter Minion and Pack in FFXIV

The Make It Rain Campaign is back in Final Fantasy 14, bringing a new seasonal reward called the “An Otterly Irresistible Collaboration.” This reward truly lives up to its name, featuring an adorable Senor Otter minion and the Senor Otter Pack fashion accessory, both available as part of the event’s prizes.

The event runs from now until June 24, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. PDT / 2:59 p.m. GMT. After that date, seasonal quests won’t be available, so be sure to complete everything before then. Here’s how to get the new Senor Otter items.

‘You Otter Be There’ Seasonal Quest Walkthrough

Start the quest by talking to Ollier at (X:9.4, Y:9.1) in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald. To take part, your character must be at least level 15 and have already finished the quest “It Could Happen To You,” which unlocks access to the Gold Saucer.

After speaking to Ollier, go to the Gold Court in Ul’dah – Steps of Thal, with the nearest Aetheryte being the Gladiator’s Guild. Talk to Ollier again at (X:10.9, Y:11.0).

Following a cutscene, you’ll need to speak with Ollier again to change into a new uniform. Then, meet with Ususke at the following locations in order:

    • (X:13.7, Y:10.5)
    • (X:13.7, Y:12.7)
    • (X:10.9, Y:12.3)

You can choose any dialogue responses you prefer— they don’t affect the outcome. After the final scene, speak with Ajisai at (X:10.9, Y:11.0).

Finally, you’ll find yourself at the Gold Saucer. Talk to Ollier again at (X:5.0, Y:8.1) to complete the quest and earn your rewards: the Senor Otter minion, the Senor Otter Pack accessory, and the “Golden Globe-trotter” achievement. This quest is quick and easy, especially if you choose to skip cutscenes.

How to Obtain the 2026 Campaign Furnishings

Visit the Campaign Attendant at (X:5.4, Y:6.3) in the Gold Saucer. Under “Seasonal Event Prizes (Other),” you can buy new furnishings like the Make It Rain Campaign advertisements for 2,000 gil each, or a tabletop version for 3,000 gil.

You don’t need to complete the seasonal quest to buy these items— they’re available directly from the campaign attendant throughout the event.

What Else Happens During the Make It Rain Campaign?

During the event, players earn 50% extra MGP from various Gold Saucer activities, including Mahjong, Triple Triad, the Fashion Report, and smaller mini-games like Monster Toss. This is a perfect opportunity to boost your MGP earnings. Keep in mind, the MGP earned from MGP cards remains unchanged and won’t give additional bonus.

You can also purchase past seasonal rewards from the campaign attendant in the Gold Saucer if you missed out previously. Certain items, like the Crystal Tower striker, Monster Toss machine, and Cuff-a-Cur machine, are available at discounted prices during the event.

  • How To Beat Murto During Uninvited in 007 First Light by Completing and Solving

How To Beat Murto During Uninvited in 007 First Light by Completing and Solving

“007 First Light” has been released, so it’s time to get dressed in your best suit, prepare a laser watch, and get ready to take down some unnamed henchmen. The game covers the early years of James Bond’s career as an MI6 agent, featuring a mix of sneaky stealth and intense action scenes.

Most of your gameplay will have you sneaking around beautiful, exotic locations. But there will also be moments when you need to confront enemies directly. One of these moments is during your second fight with Murto in the museum basement during the “Uninvited” mission. Here’s how to defeat him if you’re having trouble taking him down.

    ### How To Defeat Murto

The fight with Murto is a complex game of hide-and-seek. You start unarmed, and fighting him face-to-face will only get you killed. Instead, you need to sneak around the storage room below the museum and find ways to harm him using the environment. Your success depends on the gadgets you have with you, as some work better against Murto than others.

When the fight begins, if you have the Laser Strap or Dart Phone, look to your right and up at the chandelier. Wait for Murto to walk underneath it, then use your gadget to drop the chandelier on him. This will take away one of his health bars, so don’t rush to attack him when he’s stunned.

If you don’t have the Laser Strap, go left and squeeze through a gap in the shelves to reach an area with two big lights. Wait for Murto to come in front of one, then use your watch to hack it. This will cause the light to shoot fire at him, causing damage. There are two such lights, so if he avoids one, reposition and wait for him to approach the second.

You can tell when Murto is in trap range because a yellow triangle with an exclamation point will appear over him when looking at him through your Q-Lens.

Between the traps, you’ll need to move quickly, as Murto will be searching the room at a rapid pace. Be cautious because the room is filled with motion sensors. Walking in front of them will trigger them, flash red, and cause Murto to charge toward you. These sensors can be deadly, so always stay alert.

You also have the option to hack the motion sensors to set them off intentionally, drawing Murto toward you. This tactic is helpful because the room is large and sometimes difficult to lure him into certain areas. Additionally, you can hack the radio devices around the room to play sounds that will attract Murto, but be careful not to stand too close to the radios when doing this.

Murto’s detection range is wide, so if you walk directly in front of him, he’s likely to spot you and open fire. If that happens, quickly move to another part of the room to hide until he loses track of you. To fully deplete his health, you will need to trigger three different traps with Murto nearby.

Once you’ve managed to hit all the traps and reduce his health, a cutscene will trigger, ending with Murto defeated. There’s no extra fight or phase afterward.

After beating him, head into the open room on the right outside the storage area. You will find a box in the back corner containing the Restoration Room Keycard. Use this keycard to open the door across from you, where you’ll find the Tero Murto Locket on a table.

  • How To Open the Axum Observatory Door in Subnautica 2 by Completing and Solving

How To Open the Axum Observatory Door in Subnautica 2 by Completing and Solving

Opening the Axum Door in the Subnautica 2 Observatory is the biggest step you’ll take to complete the current early access content. It’s not a simple task and will require a lot of effort and resources.

The first step is to turn on the Karakorum Power Plant. Before doing that, you need to find and clean the Angel Comb at the plant’s center, then repair the turbine.

Cleanse the Power Plant Angel Comb

The Angel Comb is located about 1,760 meters east-northeast (75 degrees) of the lifepod and 425 meters deep. To cleanse it, you must remove the Canker Blooms infecting it, similar to previous Angel Comb encounters.

These Blooms will close up as you approach, so you’ll need to upgrade your Sonic Resonator to a Feedback Resonator at the Modification Station. This upgrade allows you to shoot from afar, preventing the Blooms from closing. Near the Angel Comb, there are two Canker Blooms, but you should wait until you clear the three Bloom Nodes before destroying the blooms closest to the comb.

There are three Bloom Nodes to cleanse, each infected with two Canker Blooms. When a Node is cleansed, it opens, signaling you can move to the next one. The nodes are located at:

    • Under the Observatory Tower: 1,175 meters east of the lifepod, in a cave beneath the main tower. Two Blooms here.
    • Near the Base of Power Plant’s South-southwest Arm: 1,516 meters east-southeast (100 degrees), 305 meters deep, near a research table. Watch out for marine life here, including the Leviathan periodically passing through. You need upgrades for your Tadpole to reach this point.
    • Northeast of Angel Comb: 2,150 meters east of the lifepod, at 320 meters deep in a wreck site. Follow the Titan Rockbore roots northeast from the Angel Comb, and swim up into a cliffside cave.
    • Cicada Wreck Site: Located at 2,150 meters east of the lifepod and 320 meters deep. Swim through the wreck inside a cliff to find this node and Blooms.

You can follow the purple Titan Rockbore roots to locate these nodes. Once all three are cleaned, remove the two Canker Blooms near the Angel Comb.

Repair the Karakorum Power Plant Turbine

After cleansing the Angel Comb and interacting with it, look along the southeastern cliff wall about 400 meters deep to find the turbine control center. Enter through the hole on the left and interact with the panels to activate the Heat Pipe. When the Heat Pipe starts moving, exit the control center and swim up to another station at 200 meters depth.

At this second control center, you’ll see three terminals. Scan each terminal with your PDA, then return to the back left. Interact with every dial and lever until they turn green, then press the central button to turn the system green. Do the same for the right terminal afterward.

Before pressing the main button on the right, scan the Turbine itself, located about five meters in front of you. Once scanned, you’ll learn what materials are needed for repairs. The required items are:

    • 10 Titanium Ingots
    • 10 Strontium
    • 10 Mangalloy Ingots

All these items can be crafted at your base using a Processor. You’ll need to gather:

    • 60 Titanium
    • 10 Atacamite
    • 10 Troilite
    • 20 Celestine

Once crafted, return to the Turbine to repair it. Use the materials to fix all parts of the Turbine at the processor.

Restore Power to the Power Plant

After fixing the Turbine, return to the upper control room to turn on all terminals. The power plant will start powering up, and you’ll receive a notification from your PDA indicating that power has been restored.

    Open the Axum Observatory Door

Now that the power is on, go back to the main Observatory Tower and approach the Axum Door. Interact with it, and it will open. Inside, scan the Orrery to gather information.

After scanning, your PDA will send some data to NoA. Before leaving, swim up through one of the three central holes in the room; you’ll find yourself in a second chamber with another interactable plant. Interact with it to reveal additional information and a tease of upcoming content. At this point, you’ll be informed that the Early Access phase is complete, for now.

  • How to Complete Every Biomod in Subnautica 2

How to Complete Every Biomod in Subnautica 2

Biomods are a key way to upgrade your Pioneer in Subnautica 2, making it easier to survive and succeed in the environment. You can get them at the Bio Lab Station found at the Welcome Center or build one at your own base.

There are two types of Biomods: Active and Passive. Active Biomods need you to trigger them manually, while Passive Biomods work automatically without any action. When you start the game, you get access to two of each type, and you can pick one from each. To unlock more Biomods, you’ll need to scan different sea creatures.

All Biomods and their unlock methods include:

    • Dash: Allows you to dodge predators or hazards in any direction. No scan needed; it’s available from the start.
    • Pathfinder: Leaves a trail of scents you can follow to find your way. No scan needed; it’s available from the start.
    • Sonic Echo: Sends out a sonar pulse to locate resources nearby. You must scan the Collector Leviathan, found east of the lifepod at about 90 meters deep, to unlock this.
    • Electric Discharge: Emits an 800-volt shock to scare away medium and large predators. You need to scan Electric Geordie, located near the power plant guarded by the massive Collector Leviathan.
    • Chum Cloud: Creates a bait cloud to distract enemies. To unlock, scan Toxic Sponge, found in caves east of the lifepod at 12 meters deep, and Houndgar, near the Tadpole Pens east of the lifepod at 150 meters deep.
    • Camouflage: Lets you turn invisible when still. Locate Bullethead off to the east-northeast at 210 meters deep to scan.
    • Homing Sense: Detects nearby bases with power. Scan Surge Jelly and Hammerhead sharks, which patrol the area around the power plant, about 1800 meters east of the lifepod.
    • Threat Sense: Warns you of nearby dangers. It requires scanning Hoverthorn, swimming around the north-northeast at 120 meters deep in the area where you find the Angel Comb.
    • Dermal Garden: Slowly grows nutritious algae on your skin. To scan, find a Needler Mango on a large rock structure east of the lifepod at about 200 meters depth.
    • Water Retention: Improves water collection by enlarging your kidneys. Scan the Coral Crab near the lifepod at about 30 meters deep, where it hides in sea grass.
    • Water Secretion: Filters freshwater from seawater to fill water packets. Scan the Water Slug near the lifepod at about 15 meters deep in orange sea grass.

Only one Biomod of each type can be equipped at a time, but you can change them anytime at a Bio Lab Station. To unlock new Biomods, you’ll need to find and scan the related creatures using a Bioscanner, which requires constructing a Modification Station and a Bioscanner at your base. Remember, some scans may cause you to die immediately, so it’s best to clear your inventory of essentials beforehand. Your scan progress stays saved in the data log as long as you complete the scan before dying.

  • How to Play Schism in HoMM: Olden Era – Completing & Solving

How to Play Schism in HoMM: Olden Era – Completing & Solving

In Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, the Schism faction is best suited for players who prefer earning their army through continuous combat rather than building it slowly. This faction is made up of a group of Alvari Elves that broke apart after creating a Rift to the Abyss. They use altered cultists and summon strange creatures from other planes for battle.

Each hero has a ‘Communion’ level that increases with consecutive wins and resets halfway through each day. A higher Communion level provides temporary reinforcements during fights, which can turn the tide of battle. Without constant streaks of wins, the army is weak. Managing this momentum—keeping the win streak alive—is the main focus of playing this faction. Everything else depends on how well you maintain that streak.

Currently, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is in Early Access. The game’s updates may adjust the faction’s strength and balance over time.

    Overall Strategy Tips

On suitable maps, terrain advantage plays a major role, especially in late-game scenarios where the Law “The World Is Ours” helps even the odds. Prioritize resources like Gems and Crystal early on because they’re needed for higher-tier buildings and units. Building up your economy and army is key, but managing your win streak is crucial since each victory boosts your army temporarily. Plan your sessions so your hero fights at least once each day, choosing battles based on difficulty to maintain the streak without suffering heavy losses. Remember, every hero has their own Communion level, so even secondary heroes contributing daily counts toward your overall strength.

    Best Laws

The Laws tree in Schism pushes to develop a magical build early. Two Laws stand out: Depths of Mind, which grants extra mana every morning, and Ice Power, which increases Spell Power. Depths of Mind is more important because it allows sustained spellcasting needed for the Communion cycle. Early on, avoid investing in economic Laws unless necessary, and aim to reach the law “The Abyss Staes Back” which locks your Communion at max level for the late game.

    First Week Strategy

Days 1–2 are the most challenging, as your starting units—Ra’Shoth, Cultists, Aga’Shoth Riders—are fragile. Focus on easy battles first to build momentum. Cultists can be valuable early for their ranged attacks, so position them to deal damage while tougher units absorb hits. Days 3–4 should see you investing in the Mage Guild and Marketplace—getting access to Primal spells and trading resources like Gems and Crystal. By Days 5–7, aim to have the Arbitrators’ dwelling available by the start of Week 2, as rushing the Abyssal Envoy building too early strains your economy. When choosing between building and recruiting, prioritize recruiting units because a stronger army makes your demonology summons more effective.

    Army Composition Tips

Grand Shoths are central to your strategy. Their Summoning Rite replaces a destroyed stack with a new one at half health, permanently surviving battles. Use this ability on Grand Shoths rather than Ra’Shoth units for better returns. The key mid-game units are Arbitrators—ranged units that counteract your lower-tier units’ fragility—and Abyssal Envoys, which are immune to magic and support powerful spell strategies like Armageddon. Early, Cultists serve as ranged damage dealers, and in mid-game, Concubus units can fill gaps but should be less prioritized than Grand Shoths.

    Single Hero Tips

Playing with a single hero is tougher because every idle day halves your crucial resource pool. Consistent daily combat is mandatory. Focusing on one hero allows you to optimize their Communion and reinforcement levels more efficiently. Strong magic progression, especially Primal Magic, is essential since your hero will handle map clearing alone. Sister Keiri is particularly effective because her spells help thin your army and reduce losses early on, keeping the streak alive during the critical initial phase.

  • How to Complete the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex Horn Quest in Crimson Desert

How to Complete the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex Horn Quest in Crimson Desert

The Crimson Desert game features some of the most exciting moments, like fighting tough bosses and taming rare mounts such as the Raptor. But there’s a quest called The Sport Hunter that lets you do both at once. It takes you to the northwest part of Pailune.

We’ll guide you on how to find Moren, the Mistwood Huntmaster, and defeat him along with his strong Ibex mount. Once you finish Moren and claim your rewards, you’ll unlock the Ibex Mount in Crimson Desert.

How to Start The Sport Hunter

To begin this quest, go to the marker on your map located northwest of the Wayward Woods in Hernand. Your first step is to locate Moren, the Mistwood Huntmaster.

How to Track Moren, The Mistwood Huntmaster

When you arrive at the designated spot, use your lantern to scan the area. Shine it around until a golden trail appears, guiding you toward Moren.

Be aware: Along your trail, you may come across groups of disguised Mistwood Hunters waiting to ambush you. Tread carefully, as you’ll likely face several surprise attacks.

Follow the glowing trail as quickly as possible to intercept Moren and his creature before they slip away.

How to Defeat Moren, The Huntmaster

When you finally spot Moren, he’ll be riding his fierce Ibex and will attack with kicks and headbutts. Remember, there will also be a group of hunters with him, so clear them out first before focusing on Moren.

When his health bar turns blue, Moren will run away. You’ll need to chase him down using the same trail you followed earlier.

    Phase Two

Once you catch up with Moren again, the fight will shift into second phase.

During this phase, Moren fights both on his Ibex and on foot. Keep an eye on his position to avoid surprise attacks. Fighting him on the Ibex is recommended since his attacks are easier to dodge from that mount.

Use your bow with Infinite Arrows build to hit him from a distance. Circle around him to find openings for quick shots.

    Rewards for Defeating Moren

    After defeating Moren, you’ll earn:

    • An Abyss Artifact
    • Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex Horns

You can take these horns to any witch and exchange them to summon the Ibex as your mount. Completing this quest will also finish The Sport Hunter and the Fog over the Forest quest chain for the Longleaf Tribe.

  • How to Complete the Grey Forest Puzzle in Crimson Desert

How to Complete the Grey Forest Puzzle in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert’s vast open world is filled with hidden secrets and puzzles to discover. From intricate floating islands in the Abyss to unlocking towering spires in each main area, you’ll spend plenty of time solving these challenges.

One of the most common puzzles involves the Ancient Ruins, which appear throughout every part of the game. The Grey Forest is one such location, and it can be tricky if you don’t know what to look for or if you don’t carefully examine the area. Here’s how to solve the Grey Forest Ancient Ruins puzzle and what rewards you for your effort.

Location of The Grey Forest Ancient Ruins
To find this puzzle, head southeast to the Delesyia region. The ruins are north of the “Grey Forest” label on your map, near a triple crossroads. You’ll spot a large forest clearing with a massive sundial-like structure on the ground, surrounded by statues.

    Solving The Grey Forest Puzzle
When you arrive at the puzzle site, you’ll see a memory image of someone moving the large arrow-shaped dial on the ground. A yellow laser beam will shoot out and hit a statue nearby. The clock face on the ground displays various symbols instead of numbers, each relating to a specific statue or what the statue holds. The part of each statue that is gold indicates its connection to a symbol.

Before starting, walk around the edge of the clock face and use your powers to lift and clear away any pillars hiding the symbols.
Begin your puzzle by following the laser to the statue it hits. For example, if it strikes a figure holding a golden Vase, you need to turn the dial so the large lower square is over the Vase symbol. You do this by stabbing the podium with your sword and rotating the dial right or left.

Once the dial is over the correct symbol, release your sword. This will cause the symbols to glow and a new set of symbols to appear along with three lasers shooting out to hit three different statues. The symbols will shuffle around. Your goal is to align both the bottom square and the two medium-sized ones above it so they cover the correct symbols simultaneously.

Next, follow the laser to identify which objects each laser hits and adjust the dial accordingly. For example, if the laser hits a statue holding a golden Vase, move the dial so the Vase symbol is under the main square. Use your sword stabbed into the podium to rotate the dial until the symbols align with the lasers’ targets.

For the specific puzzle at Grey Forest, your symbols include two Harps, two Scales, one Vase, and one Horse. These symbols are located to the left of the dial after the second step. Adjust the dial so the three open squares cover these symbols correctly. The aligned view can be checked against a reference image, where the symbols are positioned properly when the squares are over the Harp, Scale, Vase, and Horse.

Once aligned, the symbols will glow again, and a small door at the base of the central statue will open, revealing an Artifact podium. Approach and interact with it to collect your reward and conclude the puzzle.

  • How to Achieve Z Rank in Zero Parades by Completing and Solving for Dead Spies

How to Achieve Z Rank in Zero Parades by Completing and Solving for Dead Spies

Zero Out The Grand Lich is the final mission in Zero Parades: For Dead Spies and is considered the most challenging. You get this mission fairly early, but you must meet certain conditions first before moving into the final phase of the game.

There are multiple ways to fulfill these conditions, and many different ways the mission can play out. Your overall performance as an agent on this mission will be scored, with the top score being Z Rank.

To start the final mission, you need to complete “Contact The Secret Prisoner” first and then talk to Melita over the payphone in Party Alley. The mission triggers automatically after these steps, though it might take some time for all pieces to fall into place. The basic steps for starting the endgame include knowing Reyes’ arrival time and destination, recruiting three squad members, and figuring out how to kill Reyes, such as by obtaining a gun.

    How to Get a Gun

There are two methods to acquire a gun in Portofire.

First Method: Buying from Goat Eyes
The easiest way is to go to Goat Eyes at Quisach Roundabout and pay him between 100 and 150 Sol. You can earn money by working at places like the Fogged Mirror (bussing tables), the Housing Campaign (sweeping), or the Old Docks (moving crates, after speaking to Lucia, Tonio, or the Boatman). After a few hours, Goat Eyes may say there’s been a problem, and the price will increase by 50 Sol. You can pay the extra or try to persuade him to honor the original price. Paying the initial price is recommended because it costs only money, which is easy to earn.

    Second Method: Building a Gun
The alternative is to craft your own firearm by getting a copy of “The Wang Guide To Improvised Firearms, Vol. 2” from the public bookshelf in Party Alley. Interact with this book in your inventory to learn how to make a gun. Then, go to the workbench at Fot 24’s back room to build the weapon, which requires passing a Technoflex check and sacrificing either a wolf cup or Reno’s model train set. Note: sacrificing a cup may lock you out of collecting all cups, and Reno’s train set can be used as leverage later. You might also consider buying the Blood Golem album from Petre in the Bootleg Bazaar for extra options.

How to Find Out When the Grand Lich Is Arriving

You can learn the Lich’s arrival time and location through two primary ways. The preferred option for earning a Z rank is through the quest “Make A Deal With Transnational Capital” by trading Ultra Violeta (UV) to Kaleidoscope for Dante. This method, while somewhat unprincipled, provides detailed intel.

Alternatively, during the quest “The Worth of a Heart,” giving the Project Autonomía Final Recording to Hauzman reveals that the Lich will arrive when the Ginkyo tree in Party Alley sheds its leaves. To get this information, trade the Red Disc to Bagman, which can lock you out of getting the reconstructed Red Disc needed for a Z rank.

    For the recommended approach:

    1. Let the Metal Stripper steal the Red Disc in the Silo.
    2. Return to the Fogged Mirror and speak to Hauzmann.
    3. Exit dialogue and go to Bagman’s Hideout (via the roof of the Housing Campaign).
    4. Force Bagman to give you the Reconstructed Red Disc through a check or take it after killing him.
    5. Return to Hauzmann and give him the Project Autonomía Final Recording, which will tell you the Lich’s arrival time.

If you don’t care about Z rank, you can skip interacting with Bagman and not need the Red Disc.

Make a Deal with Transnational Capital
Trading Ultra Violeta for Dante with Kaleidoscope allows you to learn the Lich’s destination and timing directly from Dante, who will reveal the Grand Lich’s movements. If you kill Dante here, you can also earn a special achievement. In the end, you learn through this route that Dante is actually the Grand Lich, with the person you confront on top of the War Shrine being his body double.

How to Find Out Where the Grand Lich Is Going

If you trade Ultra Violeta for Dante, Dante will reveal the Lich’s destination and arrival time, avoiding the need for the side quest “Pump and Dump the Junior Negotiator.” To trigger this, pressure Fredrik at the payphone in the Backways to give up Silhouette, which involves passing checks related to “The Gap” and dialogues with the Duchess.

If you prefer not to trade UV, you can find Silhouette at a bar in Party Alley after 10 PM and get her to tell you the Lich’s destination through a Nerve or Cold Read check.

    Assembling the Crew

You’ll need three squad members for the final mission. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, and the choices will influence the checks and the outcome of the final fight.

    • Cupbearer: Yana (Yo-Yo) or Kaleidoscope.
    • Astronomist: Karolina (Kindred) or Holocene
    • Fool: Ramses (Radian) or Pseudopod

You can find each in different locations or have them in disguise. Each member can help in specific situations and checks.

    Triggering the Endgame

Once you meet all prerequisites—know when the Lich arrives, have your squad, and possess a gun—you’ll return to Foto 24. Outside, Cascade will notice fallen leaves, leading you to Party Alley where the Ginkyo tree is shedding, signaling the time’s up.

You can’t sleep to pass time anymore. When ready, call Melita to discuss the final plan with your squad. Note: If Holocene is your Astronomist, you cannot pick Radian as your Fool, and vice versa.

Preparing your squad and choices here will impact your ending. After talking with Melita, you’ll sleep automatically, and the scene shifts to the Tram Station.

    The Final Area

Sleeping will place you at the War Memorial Shrine for your final debrief. You may spend some time with your chosen crew members—either the Fool or the Astronomist—without affecting the story, just dialogue.

Next, you’ll appear back on the Aerotram, where you’ll meet your Cupbearer. Here is the key step: place the Red Disc in the Jukebox. Doing this is necessary for a Z rank.

    Options at the final scene:

    • Play the Blood Golem album or the standard tram music for combat preparations.
    • Confront the final challenges, which may involve shooting through enemies or setting off a bomb.

Approaching the Ending: The Final Choices

You may choose to fight your way out or use the Red Disc to hypnotize everyone, causing a vegetative state, which might lead to the bleak Z rank ending. This decision impacts who survives and the final scene.

    • If you direct your squad to use the Red Disc, most will perish unless paired with specific choices like Radian surviving with Holocene.
    • If you opt for a gunfight, perform checks to kill Tesoro and the goons, then help your wounded squad members for the best outcome.

After the chaos, you’ll return to the boat, where Melita will give your final ranking based on your performance. Achieving Z rank often involves making morally questionable choices but offers the most complete ending.

    Choosing Your Squad

In the final scene with the crew, reviewing each member’s stats, strengths, and the consequences of your choices helps optimize your final mission. The method you use—whether initiating a gunfight, playing the Red Disc, or using a bomb—determines their fate.

    • Cupbearer options: Yana (Yo-Yo) or Kaleidoscope.
    • Astronomist options: Kindred or Holocene.
    • Fool options: Ramses (Radian) or Pseudopod.

Their survival depends heavily on how you handle the final confrontation and the tools you choose, impacting whether you get the sought-after Z rank and the game’s bleakest ending.

  • How to Completing and Solving Every Power Source in Subnautica 2

How to Completing and Solving Every Power Source in Subnautica 2

After the prologue of Subnautica 2, just like the first game, you’ll start on an unknown planet with only your Lifepod. It will take you some time to get used to your surroundings. As you explore, you’ll realize your Lifepod can only store a limited amount of items, and you’ll start needing a better space for your equipment and structures.

This prompts you to build a base underwater, where you can craft new structures as you unlock them. Many of these structures require power to work. You will discover three different methods to generate power throughout the game. Let’s explore how each of these options functions.

How to Unlock and Use Solar Panels

Solar panels are the first power source available once you get the Habitat Builder. You can find the Habitat Builder in the exterior facilities section. They are the easiest power source because they attach directly to your base and automatically face the sun when installed.

To craft a solar panel, you’ll need one Titanium and two Quartz. During the day, each panel produces eight units of energy in the morning. However, once the sun sets, their output drops to just one. This makes them less suitable for late-game power needs. In the early stages of the game, placing multiple solar panels can help compensate for this low evening power.

How to Unlock and Use Hydroelectric Turbines

The hydroelectric turbine is the second power option you’ll unlock as you advance the story. It is more efficient than solar panels in many ways. You need to place these turbines in active water currents, which are identified by white air flow moving in specific directions through the water.

A convenient spot for this is a current that runs out of a nearby cave, right near your Lifepod, making it an ideal location for a starter base. The turbine produces 12 units of energy when placed in a current. You’ll need Power Transmitters to carry that power back to your base. Just one transmitter can connect to multiple turbines, as long as they are within 100 meters of each other.

    Unlocking the Hydroelectric Turbine

You can find and scan the hydroelectric turbine during your early exploration in two main locations:

    1. First Location: Look 358 meters toward 30 degrees on your compass, at a depth of about 30 meters. You’ll find the turbine beside a large crate on top of a rock structure near Camp One. It’s easy to spot once you arrive.

    2. Second Location: Head 186 meters south of the Lifepod, at a depth of around 90 meters. You’ll discover this turbine near some wreckage. Moving south from your Lifepod and descending into deeper waters will lead you there.

To craft a turbine, gather three Silver, three Bronze, and three Titanium. The Power Transmitters are necessary to connect turbines to your base.

How to Unlock and Use Thermal Plants

The final power source is the thermal plant, which can generate up to 16 units of energy if placed in the right spot. These plants do not produce electricity in most biomes but work best when positioned near geothermal activity, such as geysers emitting lava.

To unlock them, you must explore an underground cave system in the desert biome east of your Lifepod or in the hot zones of the Axum biome. When placed near geysers with flowing lava, they offer the highest power output.

    Locating Thermal Plants

    1. First Location: Travel 540 meters towards 105 degrees at a depth of 143 meters. Here, you’ll find three holes that lead into an underground cave. Follow the path to the hot peak, then head east. In the blue area, find a hole that leads to an oxygen-producing plant; this is where you’ll find the first thermal plant scan.

    2. Second Location: In the same cave, look for a pathway descending below the peak on the northeast side and swim down to find the second thermal plant scan. This area is rich with geothermal activity, making it an excellent spot for these plants.

To craft a thermal plant, you’ll need three Titanium, three Copper, and three Gold. Like the hydroelectric turbines, Power Transmitters are required to connect these plants to your base effectively.

  • How to Complete the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains in Crimson Desert

How to Complete the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert features numerous puzzles scattered across its expansive world. From the complex Abyss island challenges to the various spire-locking tasks, players will encounter plenty of mind teasers in this action-adventure game.

Many of these puzzles are found in ancient ruins and crypts located throughout each region. One such puzzle is the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains, which can be found in Demeniss. Here’s where to locate it, how to solve it, and what rewards to expect.

Location of the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains

To find this puzzle, go to the Demeniss region in the east. North of the Wheelsmith Wainwright, locate a large barricaded fence and search for ruins that are overgrown with plants and vines. This isn’t the area marked with a question mark on the map but is just east of that point, a few meters away.

Approach the ruins and use your Blinding Flash ability (Left Bumper + Right Bumper) to burn away the vines until you can reach the stairs leading into the crypt below. Be cautious, as groups of mushroom enemies will rush you if you get too close. If they do, step back and use fire-based attacks to scare them off.

How to Complete the Secret Chamber Puzzle

Descend the stairs, equip your lantern, and stop once you reach the bottom. Two flame jet traps will activate, which you can dodge by crouch-walking underneath the fire. Even if you get hit, these traps deal minimal damage. Be careful in the next room because the middle of the floor gives way, revealing a spike pit. Falling into it will kill you instantly.

Enter through the door into a chamber with three connected rooms. The rooms on your right and straight ahead are empty and can be ignored. There’s also a mural of Demeniss marked with several locations. If you want to do the puzzle step-by-step, mark these spots on your map and visit them to find symbols for each one — though this isn’t necessary to complete the puzzle.

Proceed up the stairs on the left, where a zipline is located. Use it to reach the door below, carefully avoiding the spike pit again, as falling will likely kill you.

In the next room, look to your left. You’ll see a wall with three columns of nine symbols protruding from it. Your goal is to press the correct symbols, which you do by climbing onto the mural, holding the Left Trigger to latch onto it, and then performing a Force Palm strike over the selected symbol.

Doing so will press the button in, allowing you to move on to the next symbol. The order in which you activate the symbols doesn’t matter. The correct symbols to press are:

    • Grape — Top symbol in the first column
    • Pomegranate — Middle symbol in the second column
    • Horse — Top symbol in the third column
    • Bird — Middle symbol in the third column
    • Fish — Bottom symbol in the third column

Once all the correct symbols are pressed, the wall will lower, revealing an Abyss Artifact pedestal. There is also a lever nearby to open a passage back outside, but first, explore a small room in the back right corner of this chamber.

    Treasure Room Access

In that small hidden room, you’ll find a door leading to a treasure chamber. Quick movement through this door is needed to avoid a spike trap on the floor. Inside, you’ll see piles of copper, crude gold bars, a Bekker Shield, assorted vases for selling, silk, and fabric. When you’ve gathered enough, pull the lever you previously activated to open the passage back to the surface and exit the crypt.
