How to Get a Horse in Conan Exiles: Completing and Solving Tips

The world of Conan Exiles Enhanced is huge, and walking everywhere on your own can be exhausting. Luckily, you can improve your travel by finding a mount to ride through the wilderness. It takes some time to get one, but once you do, your adventures will change completely.

We’ll guide you through how to find the perfect mount and tame it so you won’t have to walk anymore. Choose the type of mount you want and learn how to acquire it, so long journeys filled with danger become much easier.

Where to Find Horses in Conan Exiles

Mounts are pets you can ride, mostly horses in Conan Exiles Enhanced. Young horses, called foals, can be tamed after you reach level 15 and unlock the Stablemaster skill.

These foals can be picked up and brought home to train. They look similar when young, but their coat colors change as they grow into one of four different types. You can also use special foods like Tainted Fodder or Sorcerous Pet Food to turn a foal into a black or white horse before it matures naturally.

You can find foals in these three locations:

    • Past The Pitfall Pass: Look around the K5 and K6 grids on the map for various foals.
    • The Northern Aqueduct: Foals are found northeast and southeast of the large aqueduct.
    • Circle of Swords: In grids B10 and C10, you might find foals here.

    All Mounts in Conan Exiles

Horses are the most common mounts, but you can discover others as you explore. Here is a list of all the mounts available:

    Base Game Mounts

    • Horse
    • Black Horse (Exclusive to the Riders of Hyboria DLC)
    • White Horse (Exclusive to the Riders of Hyboria DLC)
    • Undead Horse (Available through the Battle Pass: Age of Sorcery DLC)
    • Wight Horse (Available through the Battle Pass: Age of Sorcery DLC)
    • Camel

    Isle of Siptah Mounts

    • Grey Rhino
    • Purebred Grey Rhino
    • Savage Grey Rhino
    • Killer Grey Rhino
    • Wartorn Rhino
    • Undead Rhino (Exclusive to Black Lotus Bazaar)
    • Kambujan War Rhino (Exclusive to Black Lotus Bazaar)

Most mounts can be purchased from merchants. Keep in mind, you’ll need to keep them in your inventory until you have a stable set up at your base to safely store them.

Good news: mounts don’t count toward your total companion limit, and you can rename them anytime. To ride your mount, you’ll need to craft a saddle at a Saddler’s Worktable. Saddles come in simple or decorative styles. Once equipped on your mount, it will follow you around and can carry extra items while you ride across the Exiled Lands in style.

Feeding your mounts can also help them unlock special buffs the next time they level up.

  • How To Get a Horse in Palia: Completing and Solving the Quest

How To Get a Horse in Palia: Completing and Solving the Quest

In Palia, you’ll spend a lot of time walking around because the maps are quite large, and traveling between different regions takes some time. That all changes once you get a horse, but how do you find your own noble steed?

Here’s how to get your first horse, and what you can do to obtain even more beautiful ponies for your account. Whether you prefer a regal, thoroughbred look or a mystical flaming horse that resembles a phoenix, we’ll guide you to your perfect horse.

    How to Unlock Horses

Once you reach the Royal Highlands, head down the path from Lochland Dock to the Lonely Glen. In the top left corner of the I6 area, you’ll see Hassian standing next to a horse trapped in amber.

Use your pickaxe to free the horse, then look around for Dawnspur Lilies nearby. You’ll need to gather three of these golden flowers and bring them to the horse.

When you approach, the horse will eat the flowers and become energized. Hassian will then challenge you to try riding your new horse. To do that, open your inventory and go to the tools menu — specifically the saddle icon. Select your new horse as your mount to start riding.

Important: You don’t need to be current with the main story to unlock horses, so feel free to get your mount as soon as you can!

    How to Ride Your Horse

After unlocking your horse, exit the tool menu and open the tool wheel. Your horse will appear at the bottom just like any other tool. When you select it, your horse will materialize beneath you, and you’re all set to ride.

Horses follow the game’s default movement keys, and the camera switches to follow your horse. You can change these controls in the settings if needed. To make your horse move faster, hold down the forward key. Tapping the backward key will slow your horse gradually, or holding it down will bring your horse to a stop.

Horses also have a stamina bar that limits how long they can run. When stamina runs out, travel becomes slower. To restore stamina, steer your horse into glowing gold orbs on the road — these will top up your horse’s energy, allowing you to keep running without stopping.

    How to Breed Horses

Once you’ve unlocked horses in the Royal Highlands, you can find your new steed at the barn. If there’s no space in the stable, you’ll need to make room and retrieve a horse from the retirement section.

You can breed horses as you upgrade your ranching skill, which unlocks the ability to breed different types. While you can mix traits from various breeds, crossbreeding different horse types isn’t possible. For example, a Dawnspur can only breed with another Dawnspur, and not with a Phoenixfire or Akwindu type.

Can You Ride the Horses You Breed?

Yes, you can ride the horses you breed at your barn. However, riding certain special horses — like Phoenixfire or Akwindu breeds — requires a special license. These licenses must be purchased with Palia Coins, which you can buy with real money. There are bundles available to help you get started, and each breed needs its own license for riding.

That said, all standard Dawnspur horses you breed can be ridden without a special license. You just need to progress through Binnie’s quests in the Royal Highlands to unlock this feature fully.

Tip: Even if you can’t ride Phoenixfire or Akwindu horses without a license yet, you can still breed them in hopes of getting the perfect mount before deciding to purchase a license.

    Finding All Horse Archery Locations

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, there are ten locations dedicated to Horse Archery. The minigames start off easy in the initial provinces, but as you advance, the targets will become trickier to spot. Here’s how to locate each Horse Archery spot:

4 Yamashiro Much of Yamashiro is occupied by a village in Kyoto. Travel to the northwest of this village to easily access the Horse Archery area.
5 Iga There’s a river cutting through Iga, with a village on the left bank. Follow the smaller river that flows west through the village to locate this Horse Archery spot.
6 Omi Head south of Azuchi City where you’ll find a large area of water. The Horse Archery location can be found south of this water.
7 Omi The second spot in Omi is located to the southeast of Takashima Shores, near Lake Biwa.

By visiting these spots and honing your skills in Horse Archery, you’ll enhance your gameplay experience in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Happy hunting!

  • Unlocking Horses in Roblox: A Guide to Dead Rails

Unlocking Horses in Roblox: A Guide to Dead Rails

In Dead Rails on Roblox, how fast you can move is crucial, especially when trying to escape from zombies, vampires, or other foes. A fantastic way to boost your speed in these tense situations is to locate a horse. Riding one can help you reach your destinations much quicker when you’re off the train.

Before you can hop on a horse, you need to find one, but you’ll also require a saddle to actually use it. Below, we’ll go over everything you need to know about horses and how to utilize them in Dead Rails.

    How to Tame a Horse

Generally, there are several ways to acquire a horse in Dead Rails. Some methods are straightforward but require in-game currency, while others are free yet involve more danger.

To control a horse, a saddle is also necessary, which can be challenging to obtain. Let’s dive into the details of each method.

    Finding a Wild Horse

The player character shows a black horse next to the train in the desert in Dead Rails.

One of the safest ways to find and tame a horse is to look for it in the desert. Often, you can spot these animals in herds.

However, getting close and saddling a horse can be tricky because they tend to run away. A good strategy is to corner the horse so it can’t escape. You might be able to guide it into a building or even up against your train. Just make sure to move in a way that keeps it from bolting in the opposite direction.

Once you get close, pull out the saddle and interact with the horse to put it on. Now you’re ready to ride.

This method makes it much easier to move between locations and escape from threats more efficiently.

Additionally, you can ride a unicorn to bring it to the Sheriff’s office for a higher payout. A living unicorn nets you $250, compared to just $150 for a dead one.

Finding a Horse on the Farm

The player character shows a barn in the middle of the desert in Dead Rails.

You can also locate a horse in barns on farms, which can sometimes be found in the desert. These farms are easy to spot, thanks to the tall wheat fields and red barns nearby. Once you find one, eliminate any enemies first, then check the barn. While there’s no guarantee of finding a horse, it’s a common occurrence, and you might even come across one already saddled.

    Stealing from Bandits

The player character shows bandits on horses while being in the train in the desert in Dead Rails.

The riskiest method to acquire a horse is to steal one from bandits. This approach requires you to confront the entire gang to get what you want. Bandits, much like horses, are relatively easy to find in the desert, so just keep an eye out for their camps. Be cautious, as they might even ambush you.

When fighting bandits while mounted, be careful to avoid killing the horse. If you defeat an enemy on a horse, you can then approach and ride it, as it will already be saddled.

    How to Get a Saddle

The player character shows a General Store in Dead Rails.

There are two main ways to get a saddle. As previously mentioned, one option is to find it in a barn on a farm; this is the most cost-effective method. The other way is to purchase a saddle for $50 at the General Store. However, finding this item isn’t guaranteed, so you may have to check multiple stores before acquiring it.

Remember, you won’t find the saddle for sale at the first outpost you visit.

  • Cleaning Your Steed: A Guide for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Cleaning Your Steed: A Guide for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Acquiring a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 involves more than just picking one and jumping on. You must purchase a horse—or discover Pebbles early in the game—and ensure it’s well cared for.

Regular grooming is essential for your horse and its saddle. If you neglect this duty, your horse will accumulate dirt and grime from your adventures, leading to unwanted attention from NPCs. A horse that doesn’t smell great, paired with a poorly kept rider, can make it difficult to excel in skill checks.

    How to Wash Your Horse

To clean your horse, you should visit a horse handler. These can be found in both regions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Talk to the merchant you may have previously purchased a horse from, and select the option to wash your horse. The service starts at 200 Groschen, but you can negotiate the price just like any other transaction. We successfully got the wash for 165 Groschen.

Washing your horse will take one hour in-game. It might be wise to postpone this task if you’re currently engaged in a time-sensitive quest.

How to Find Horse Traders and Grooms

Unfortunately, horse traders are not as plentiful as other merchants in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, there are two dependable locations to find them.

Firstly, if you’re in the Trosky region, you can visit the horse trader at the Nomad Camp located in the west. He can wash your horse for you.

Alternatively, you can head to the city of Kuttenberg and look for a horse handler in the southwestern part of town. He goes by the name of Groom and will be seated at a table near a few other horses.

  • Upgrading Pebbles: A Guide for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Upgrading Pebbles: A Guide for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

    Quick Links

Having a reliable horse significantly impacts your experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. At the beginning, Pebbles may seem unremarkable—slow, weak, and lacking stamina. You might feel tempted to purchase a superior horse, but that’s not necessary.

The reason is simple: Pebbles has the potential to become one of the best horses in the game. By unlocking a special perk known as Good Old Pebbles, you can greatly enhance his abilities. This will save you from spending a fortune in Groschen to acquire a better horse; by sticking with Pebbles, you’ll find he performs just as well if not better.

How To Unlock Good Old Pebbles Perk

The Good Old Pebbles perk is somewhat unique in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as it’s a hidden perk that only becomes visible once you’ve attained it.

To unlock this perk, you need to spend a considerable amount of time riding Pebbles. In our experience, it became available around level 14 of the Horsemanship skill—roughly halfway through the storyline in the Kuttenberg region.

Once you’ve unlocked the Good Old Pebbles perk, you’ll receive a notification in the top right corner of your screen.

Many players believe that you need to ride Pebbles for approximately 30 to 40 kilometers to unlock the perk. You can track this distance by accessing your player screen and navigating to the Statistics section, where you can see how far you’ve traveled on horseback.

To activate the Good Old Pebbles perk as quickly as possible, prioritize riding Pebbles whenever you can. Avoid running or fast traveling; opt for horseback travel instead.

    Pebbles’ Increased Stats

After unlocking the perk, you can view Pebbles’ upgraded stats by interacting with him. His new stats are as follows:

    Category Stat
    Stamina 216
    Capacity 358
    Speed 53
    Courage 12
    Value 5040

You can compare these stats against any other horse you encounter while exploring the different regions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. After the upgrade, very few horses can match Pebbles in performance.

  • How to Saddle Up Your Horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

How to Saddle Up Your Horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, whether you’re riding Pebbles or another horse, your priority is to keep your steed fast and comfortable. Once you have a horse, the next step is to get a saddle that fits.

Acquiring a saddle is pretty straightforward, but placing it on your horse can be a bit tricky. After you’ve obtained a saddle, there are a few steps to help you equip it. You can dress Pebbles with the saddle and some additional gear, which will allow you to carry extra items.

    How to Get a Saddle

First, you need to visit a horse handler or a saddler to purchase a saddle. In the Trosky area, you have two options.

The first is Horse Handler Mikolai, located in the Nomad camp to the west of the region. Alternatively, if you’re on the other side of the map, you can find Saddler Matthew at Trosky Castle.

Both of them offer saddles for sale, but make sure you have enough Groschen on hand, as they can be pricey. High-quality saddles often start at around 500 Groschen.

Saddlers are marked with a small white horse head icon on the map.

How to Put a Saddle on a Horse

The horse inventory in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Now that you have your saddle, follow these steps to equip it on your horse:

    1. Open your inventory and locate the saddle.
    2. Select it by clicking or pressing the appropriate button (square on PlayStation or X on Xbox) to transfer it to your horse.
    3. Next, navigate to the horse section at the top of the screen.
    4. Find the saddle in your horse’s inventory and select it to equip it. Once it’s equipped, you’ll see a gray shield symbol next to it.

Your saddle should now be properly equipped on your horse, ready for Henry to ride more comfortably as he explores the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
