  • Completing Time: The Girl Who Solves Its Secrets

Completing Time: The Girl Who Solves Its Secrets

In Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll find a total of 22 shrines. Some require combat skills, while others challenge your gathering speed and efficiency. A few involve memorizing the sequence of glowing mushrooms—don’t worry, we have a guide for that!

Then you have the tile puzzle shrines. If you’re familiar with gaming, you’ll easily recognize the concept: you need to activate tiles one by one to reach a target. However, stepping on the same tile twice leads to failure. Here’s how you can conquer every tile puzzle with ease!

    Sed’nas Shrine Tile Puzzle

The Sed’nas Shrine is likely your first encounter with tile puzzles, located in the East Dryridge Desert. You can find it to the northeast of Haniwa Village.

As a beginner-friendly introduction to tile puzzles, Sed’nas Shrine’s solution is quite straightforward.

    • Stage One: Move left one tile, then north one tile. Next, activate all remaining tiles until you reach the goal.
    • Stage Two: Go north one tile, then right one tile, and south one tile. Activate the remaining tiles toward the teleporter. At the teleporter tile, move right, wrap around these tiles to the left, and activate all remaining tiles until you reach the green tile.

    Lun’ii Shrine Tile Puzzle

    Lun'ii Shrine

The Lun’ii Shrine is located far west in Scorchrock Mountain, near the center of the area.

This one is considerably more challenging.

    • Stage One: From the starting point, move all the way to the right past the teleportation tile. Once you hit the rightmost tile, go north, then curve left, followed by going north again, and then right. Move north again to the top-left corner and activate all necessary tiles to reach the second teleportation tile. You’ll be sent back to the first teleportation tile, located next to the green tile.
    • Stage Two: This stage isn’t as tricky as it seems. Activate tiles in a zigzag pattern to cover them all, then move along the left tiles, leading you via “ramps” to the first teleportation tile. After teleporting, follow the only available path to finish.
    • Stage Three: Rotate your camera 180 degrees for a better view of the puzzle. With this perspective, go two tiles north, one tile right, and one tile north. Wrap around this square area and activate the last few tiles to reach the teleportation tile. Once you reach the other teleportation tile, the route to the green tile will be clear!

    Dahl Shrine

    Dahl Shrine

The Dahl Shrine is located in Crickneck Canyon. To get there, head west from Crickneck Canyon’s tower, continuing until you’re about halfway to the western edge of Crickneck.

    • Stage One: Start by moving south one tile and then to the top-left tile. Stay along the edge of the area while navigating and once completed, activate the remaining tiles to reach the green tile.
    • Stage Two: Move three tiles left, three tiles up, one tile right, one tile up, two tiles left, then reach the first teleportation tile. The pathway to the green tile from there is straightforward.
    • Stage Three: Rotate the camera 180 degrees to face the puzzle better. From this angle, go two tiles up, one tile right, one tile up, wrap around the square area, and activate the remaining tiles leading to the teleportation tile. Once you teleport, the route to the green tile will be clear!

Completing Time: The Girl Who Solves Its Secrets

As the saying goes, having the right tool for every job is essential. This is especially true for gathering and crafting in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. For combat classes, choosing the best weapon is key. While your arsenal will evolve as you make progress, certain powerful versions are crucial if you want to enhance your capabilities.

We’ve put together examples for each category, and our guide on the best weapons and tools in Fantasy Life i reflects those resources. Here are our top recommendations.

For every Legendary Recipe, the ultimate version is the True [Item] of Time. This is different from the basic [Item] of Time. Notably, True Recipe variants can be obtained from the Plundered Panther, located in Monster Villages in Ginormosia.

Currently, we believe the Plundered Panther only provides the True Recipe versions of Legendary Recipes after you complete the main storyline. If you’ve experienced something different, please share!

  • The Girl Who Completes Time: A Tale of Solving Moments

The Girl Who Completes Time: A Tale of Solving Moments

Just because you’ve finished the main storyline of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time doesn’t mean your adventure is over. In fact, there’s still plenty left to explore! Some challenges can only be tackled after the main quests are complete, and certain goals, such as mastering all Lives, typically aren’t achieved until the credits roll.

One major task that you’ll want to save for after finishing the game is the deactivation of Sealed Areas. Throughout your journey, you’ll come across several of these barriers, but you’ll need Dark Fire to break them and access the rewards behind them. We’re currently documenting each Sealed Area, collaborating with the community to help you decide which ones to tackle first.

This guide is still being developed!

    How to Break Purple Seals

Purple Seals are those annoying purple barriers you’ll encounter in The Depths, certain caves, and other select locations in Fantasy Life i.

For example, you’ll first spot one while navigating through The Depths (B1), right on your way to a key plot point. Once you interact with a Purple Seal, you’ll find out that you cannot pass through at that moment.

In reality, you won’t be able to breach these barriers until you’ve completed the main story. You’ll need to speak with Edward back at Base Camp to obtain your first Stone Slate after finishing the main storyline.

Once you’ve beaten the game, head over to Fort Gardhart. Shadow-type monsters will appear there, which have a chance of dropping Dark Fire. Use Dark Fire to start breaking those seals, but keep in mind that each one has its own Dark Fire cost, which can get pretty steep!

You can refresh a room’s Shadow monsters by leaving and re-entering. This is effective in most areas of Fantasy Life i, making it particularly useful for gathering Dark Fire more efficiently!

Another method to acquire Dark Fire is through random drops in Treasure Grove stages. However, this also only occurs post-game. While we prefer farming it from Shadow monsters, this is another (though time-consuming) option.

    All Sealed Areas

Fantasy Life i image of a Purple Seal.

This is a work in progress. The community is uncovering these areas gradually, and we’ll continue to update the list as we unlock more Purple Seals. Just keep in mind that farming for Dark Fire can take a lot of time!

Exploring Treasure Groves in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

When it comes to challenges in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, few features compare to Treasure Groves. These aren’t just tough endgame content; they offer a unique gameplay experience that requires you to prepare more than for other parts of the game.

This guide will help you understand what Treasure Groves are, how to access them, and what to expect when you dive in, whether solo or with friends.

    Unlocking Treasure Groves

To start, the earliest you can unlock Treasure Groves is at the end of Chapter 4. You must engage in the Farmer Life, which means you’ll need to plant Treasure Grove Saplings and wait for them to grow before you can enter a Grove.

The cool part? You’re in charge of growing these Treasure Groves yourself. It adds an interesting twist to the optional dungeon elements commonly found in RPGs!

    Finding Treasure Grove Saplings

You have two main ways to acquire Treasure Grove Saplings in the game. The first method is to get them as rewards for defeating Mimics.

    How to Obtain the Saplings

Mimics can be spotted throughout Ginormosia. They’re not particularly rare enemies and have an Area Encounter tag, which makes finding them easier.

Tip: From our experience, acquiring the Sapling can be a bit tricky. We suggest leveling up an area to boost the chances of receiving one as a drop.

Another option is to purchase Treasure Grove Saplings from the Traveling Merchants, who are also found in Ginormosia. Availability is random, so ranking up an area could help improve your odds.

You can locate Traveling Merchants by looking for backpack icons at campfires. They appear at these locations periodically, so if you don’t see one right away, don’t worry; they’ll show up eventually.

    Planting the Saplings

Once you obtain your first Treasure Grove Sapling and head back to your Base Camp, you should receive a tutorial on how to plant it. Just find a spot on your farm, plant it, and you’ll have your very own Treasure Grove!

What to Expect in Treasure Groves

Treasure Groves provide a unique and layered experience. Each Grove has a grid-based map, representing different stages that lead you deeper into the game’s history.

As you venture deeper, the encounters will become increasingly challenging. Starting with the initial stages can be a smart strategy unless you’ve powered up your character significantly.

Inside the Groves, you’ll face monsters as well as gathering tasks related to all three main resource types. So, it’s wise to enter with at least one Combat Life unlocked, along with skills in Woodcutting, Angling, and Mining.

    Advancing Through the Groves

If you ever find yourself stuck at a particular level—especially in the tougher final stages—don’t hesitate to exit the Treasure Grove.

A key strategy is to develop your battle skills and gathering abilities; the better equipped you are, the better your chances of making it through. Craft your gear and consider bringing along friends with diverse skill sets to enhance your team.

Completing a Treasure Grove rewards you with a Goddess Fruit. These valuable items can be exchanged at Marco’s Shop back in Base Camp. The Fruit Exchange section offers plenty of impressive items.

Additionally, Treasure Groves are a great way to grind for resources while enjoying the adventure they have to offer. Happy exploring!

  • Completing the Girl Who Solves Time’s Secrets

Completing the Girl Who Solves Time’s Secrets

If you need any of the four elemental Mana resources in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, your best bet is the Angeltrees that correspond to the game’s main elements. Harvesting these trees is the most reliable way to collect the Mana you require.

    Locations of All Angeltrees

    Tree Location Directions
Fire Angeltree Capital of Mysteria This is the first tree you can access. Head west from Mysteria into the plains. Cross the bridge into the northern area of the zone, then take the smaller bridge to your left. Climb the hill, and you’ll find the Fire Angeltree.
Wind Angeltree Lulab Forest To reach the Wind Angeltree, you need to first visit the Spirit Village in Lulab Forest. After that, head deeper into the forest. Check your map—look for a crowned symbol on a tree in the northernmost section, which marks the location of the Wind Angeltree.
Water Angeltree Tropica Isles You can only access the Water Angeltree once you reach Tropica Isles. Travel to the central small island amidst the larger stretch of islands. Don’t forget to explore the surrounding islands, as they host various valuable resources, including crowned-tier fish.
Earth Angeltree Swolean Island After you can access Swolean Island, enter the Cave of Trials. To find the Earth Angeltree, take the northern exit and you’ll emerge back outside on Swolean Island, where the tree will be right in front of you.

Completing the Mystery of the Girl Who Steals Time

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is an RPG that offers a vibrant world filled with economic opportunities. Like many RPGs, it has its own currency, called Dosh. Mastering how to accumulate Dosh is vital to avoid running into budget constraints, especially since you’ll need around 10,000 Dosh for an early quest. Although this amount is manageable, you’ll likely need hundreds of thousands more to unlock everything the game offers.

    Sell Your Loot

Don’t hesitate to sell your extra resources. While it’s common in many games to hang on to items "just in case," it’s usually unnecessary. Most resource-related items can be easily collected, so you’ll often find yourself with more than you need. If something appears particularly valuable, you might want to hang on to it, but almost everything can be found again.

    Tackle Regular Quests

Throughout Eternia Village and beyond, you’ll encounter various standard quests. These quests usually ask for specific crafting or gathering tasks and often yield decent rewards, like 300 or 500 Dosh. Though these amounts might seem small initially, they add up. Some quests can even reward you with thousands of Dosh.

    Pursue Dangerous Monster Icons

In Ginormosia, the map highlights areas marked with monster icons, indicating tougher enemies. Defeating these foes not only raises your area’s Area Rank but can also net you a good amount of Dosh. While the rewards may not be enormous, these battles tend to be quick.

In addition, quests requiring you to find specific monsters in the Past often lead to extra Dosh from their drops, giving you two forms of income in one effort.

    Boost Area Ranks

As you earn points in a zone, you can upgrade that area. This advancement comes in levels, requiring increasingly more points each time. Upgrading raises the levels of monsters as well, so it’s best to do this when you’re prepared to face stronger foes.

Upgrading also enhances the quality of resources you gather and treasure you find, meaning you’ll earn more when you sell your items.

    Craft Valuable Items

If you’re into Crafting Lives, you’ll find they don’t just help you create gear or fulfill townsfolk requests. They let you make a wide array of items to sell, some of which can be very lucrative. With the right levels and gear, you can earn thousands of Dosh from crafted items.

    Start Every Life

Each Life has its benefits, and simply starting one earns you 1,000 Dosh. Although you could skip introductory quests you’ve already completed, they often add depth to the game. Completing them will give you 12,000 Dosh fairly quickly, a significant amount for beginners.

    Recruit Buddies

Once you unlock Buddies in the game, they can help speed up your Dosh-gathering. Each Buddy has their own Life, enabling them to assist with various tasks. They can also provide bonuses for resource gathering and even help with crafting, making your overall experience smoother.

    Try Online Play

Engaging in multiplayer mode can turbocharge your efforts. With more players, tasks can be completed more swiftly, yielding quicker rewards. While some story quests are off-limits in co-op mode, many core features of Fantasy Life i are perfectly suited for teamwork, turning your friends into invaluable allies!

  • Completing Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Solves Time

As you embark on your journey in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, the myriad choices can feel a bit daunting as you take on the role of a versatile time-traveling hero. While the game offers a variety of tutorials that help explain the different systems, there’s a ton to explore, and you’ll need to dive in yourself to truly grasp everything.

Having invested many hours in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, we’re excited to share some insights that we wish we had at the start of our adventure.

    Embrace a Gathering Life…

A new Woodcutter in Fantasy Life i.

Gathering Lives are among the best options in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. You’ll find gathering nodes—such as trees, rocks, and fish—scattered throughout most areas outside of towns. Furthermore, you’ll need various materials for other lives as well.

For this reason, we highly recommend picking a Gathering Life early in your adventure.

Ultimately, the decision is yours, but we started with Woodcutter, which allowed us to make good money from items like Elder Pine Logs right off the bat.

    …But Don’t Forget About a Combat Life

The player prepares to battle Red Wolves near the capital in Fantasy Life i.

That said, it’s crucial to choose a Combat Life as well. Even if you decide not to engage in Gathering or Crafting at first, having combat skills is essential.

Combat is a must in Fantasy Life i, and you’ll face numerous scripted encounters, along with some boss battles later in the game.

While you could fight in your Brand New Life, the disadvantages make it one of your worst options. You’ll lack skills and weapon specialties; avoid this route!

    Talk to the Towers

Googlina in the West Skyridge Desert in Fantasy Life i.

The towers in Fantasy Life i are more than just landmarks; they are interactive characters. The vast world of Ginormosia is dotted with towers that help unveil different parts of the map. Unlike typical open-world games, these towers converse with you.

Engage with the towers frequently using the ‘Talk’ function to gather tips on shrine locations and other helpful hints. Plus, you need to chat with them to raise the enemy level in a zone.

    Increase Enemy Levels When Ready

Area Rank for the South Greatgut Plains in Fantasy Life i

As you complete tasks, you’ll earn points that allow you to raise the enemy ranks in each area. By doing so, you’ll reap greater rewards, including:

    • Lumber
    • Fish
    • Ore
    • Vegetables
    • Treasure

While the risks might be worth it, keep in mind that many enemies will attack you on sight. You’ve got to either be stealthy or prepared to face multiple defeats while maximizing each area’s benefits.

Thus, always monitor your Combat Life level before upping the Area Rank. Remember, your Gathering Life levels also need to be sufficient to make the most of these resources.

    Don’t Forget to Climb

The game introduces the climbing mechanic early on, but its importance may not be evident right away. You might go a while without realizing you can climb ledges marked with the “look” prompt, no matter how high they are.

Climbing is crucial for reaching the highest points in Ginormosia. The sooner you embrace this skill, the more opportunities you’ll have!

Explore Caves, Even If You Aren’t a Miner

Great Copper Deposits in Fantasy Life i.

Caves are mainly sources of ore, which might lead you to overlook them at first if you’re not focused on the Miner Life. However, these caverns often hide treasure chests and valuable gathering items like mushrooms and shells.

The general rule of thumb: always enter any cave you find while exploring.

Progress Through the First Three Chapters Quick

The daily quests screen in Fantasy Life i.

Many systems within Fantasy Life i become available only after completing the first three chapters. It’s only then that you’ll genuinely explore various mechanics, like time travel and building your own town.

We can’t emphasize enough how much more awaits you once these initial chapters are completed.

Additionally, you’ll face strict caps on enemy levels, gathering nodes, and Life Quests that you can complete if you limit yourself to the early game stages.

While it’s important to elevate your Combat Life level and engage in some gathering, pushing through those first three chapters is vital to unlocking the game’s true potential.

Multiplayer Mode Won’t Be Available at First

Speaking with a fellow villager in your custom town in Fantasy Life i.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that multiplayer options unlock only after you start building your town in late Chapter 3. If you’re eager to team up with friends who have also bought Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll need to make it through several hours of gameplay first!

This adds further incentive to clear those early chapters, as your co-op gameplay can only commence once you’ve grasped the basics.

Remember, you can’t tackle story quests in multiplayer mode, nor can you take Phantoms beyond Ginormosia. These quests are meant to be a solo experience to maintain gameplay balance.

    • The second Leafe is at the northern edge of the western zone.
    • For the third Leafe, head to the southern edge of the zone in the rocky area.
    • Leafe four can be found at the northeast corner near East Dryridge Desert, in another rocky section.

    • Now, head northwest from the bell. The fourth Leafe is at the end of a small peninsula, right by a cat.
    • Finally, once more using the tower as a landmark, go due east until you spot a couple of small islands connected by bridges; the Leafe is located on the left island.
  • The Girl Who Completes Time by Solving Its Mysteries

The Girl Who Completes Time by Solving Its Mysteries

As you build your character and embark on a new adventure in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll have the chance to design your digital identity to fit your vision. However, as you dive deeper into the game, you may find yourself craving a fresh look that reflects your evolving journey.

Fortunately, you can update your appearance eventually; the downside is that you have to wait a bit. Here’s what you need to know about changing your character’s look and personalizing your outfits.

When Can You Change Your Appearance?

After you complete the Chapter Three quest titled ‘Digging Up Secrets of the Past’ and meet the famous miner, you’ll acquire the Sturdy Wheelbarrow. At this point, you’ll be prompted to head back to the Base Camp in present time.

When you arrive, you’ll find your little pals have been busy and have built a new Guild structure for you to check out. While you won’t be able to use the services right away—since you’ll need to cure your Strangeling and establish a home first—you will gain the ability to change your appearance afterward.

    How To Change Your Appearance

To change your look, go to the Guild in Base Camp and talk to Boyle on the left side. This will open up the opportunity to fully customize your character again, just like during the initial creation process. You can modify your name, physical features, and even your voice.

You can also update your Island Name with Boyle.

    How To Change Your Outfit

If you’re looking to switch up your character’s outfit, you’re in luck; you’re not limited to the best gear you own. You have the freedom to express your style however you wish.

From the main menu, select ‘Outfits’ and create a new look for each Life you’ve unlocked. You’ll still benefit from the stats of the armor and items you currently have equipped, while the Outfits feature allows you to alter your appearance for a fresh look by mixing and matching garments.
