How to Solve Radiation Sickness in Abiotic Factors

    Radiation in Abiotic Factor

Radiation is a serious danger in both real life and in the game Abiotic Factor. You’ll encounter alien worlds filled with natural radiation, which is everywhere. You will need to use parts of aliens and their meat to survive, but these foods are often contaminated with radiation.

The radiation-laced meats are some of the best foods early in the game. But, by eating them, you risk increasing your radiation levels. You’ll also explore alien planets and contaminated areas filled with radioactive waste. If you don’t control radiation, it can damage your character and make you sick.

    How To Deal With Radiation

Radiation is one of several negative effects you will face. If you don’t handle it properly, it can lead to three stages of sickness: Radiation Tingle, Radiation Sickness, and Irradiated Status. When affected, you’ll see a warning near your health bar and in the menu under health issues.

    Tips for Reducing Radiation

Early in the game, the best way to protect yourself is by wearing a Lead Vest. You can find one in Bio Lab D or on the catwalk leading to another world through the Level Three portal. The vest reduces incoming radiation while worn.

Dealing with the last two stages of radiation sickness can be deadly, especially if you’re attacked while sick. Vomiting from high radiation levels can cause you to lose health rapidly, and if you’re alone, it might be a quick path to death.

    Radiation Debuff Details

    Debuff When It Happens Effects
Radiation Tingle Rad absorption exceeds 6 No effects
Radiation Sickness Rad absorption exceeds 35 Causes vomiting, reducing hunger and thirst by 25% each time. Effect stops after vomiting twice and can be re-triggered.
Irradiated Rad absorption exceeds 50 Causes vomiting, reducing hunger and thirst by 25% each time. Effect stops after vomiting twice and can be re-triggered.

    How to Reduce Radiation

The quickest way to lower radiation is by taking Iodine Tablets. They remove 10 radiation points and give a Rad Resistance buff that reduces incoming radiation by 50% for a few minutes.

You can find these tablets frequently in First Aid Kits or at specific locations like the Portal Entrance to A2 on Level Three.

    Renewable Radiation Removal Options

Another way to cure radiation is by crafting Pentetic Acid Syringes. These syringes also remove 10 radiation and grant Rad Resistance. They are renewable once you reach First Aid level four and craft them using only four ingredients that respawn regularly.

    Ingredients for Pentetic Acid Syringe

    • Hydrochloric Acid – found in Bio Lab D, gyms, locker rooms, data farms, and supply rooms
    • Enethiol – available in Bio Lab D, supply rooms, and boxes in Office sectors
    • Salt – located in Bio Lab D, kitchen areas, and cabinets
    • Metal Scrap – found in filing cabinets, from dismantling vents, or destroying security robots

    Fishing for Radfish

The second renewable method is fishing for Radfish in radioactive waste areas like Manufacturing West. After catching it, you can butcher the fish at the Chef’s Counter. This process yields one Green Fish Liver and two Rad Fish Fillets.

Green Fish Liver acts like Iodine Tablets, removing 10 radiation points and providing Rad Resistance. Rad Fish Fillets can be cooked into two meals: Radfish Chowder and Rad Rice Bowl. Both foods boost Rad Resistance and restore hunger and thirst.

    Additional Notes

While Iodine Tablets aren’t as renewable as Green Fish Liver, you can stockpile them early from Medkits in the Office area and in the Portal World Rise. Rad Fish Fillets serve as a good food source that also helps with radiation management, but for ongoing prevention, Iodine Tablets, Green Fish Liver, and Syringes are your best options to remove radiation completely.

  • Completing Your Journey: Solving Night Owl Condition in Umamusume

Completing Your Journey: Solving Night Owl Condition in Umamusume

As a coach in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, your role is to inspire, care for, and guide your Umamusume’s training so she can fulfill her racing ambitions. While training is crucial to her success, it goes beyond simply raising her stats.

Various factors can influence an Umamusume’s training, resulting in both positive and negative effects known as Conditions. Some Conditions can enhance her performance, while many have detrimental impacts. If these negative Conditions are left unaddressed, they can hinder her progress over time.

    What Are Conditions?

Throughout Career Mode, your trainee may encounter Conditions, which are status effects that can arise after completing a Training Routine, attending Support Card events, or finishing a race. Negative Conditions are more likely to occur when your Umamusume is low on Energy.

Conditions fall into two main categories: Positive and Negative. They primarily impact training results by either boosting gained stats or increasing the likelihood of training failures. In cases of negative Conditions, you may need to prioritize Rest or seek help from the Infirmary instead of continuing training.

It’s possible for an Umamusume to have multiple Conditions simultaneously, especially negative ones, if you don’t address them promptly. Therefore, it’s best to manage these effects as quickly as possible.

Positive Conditions provide benefits until they expire or a new Condition replaces them due to an event.

    All Positive Conditions

There are several Positive Conditions that an Umamusume can have, granting temporary boosts during training:

    Condition

    What It Does

    How To Obtain

Random chance after Training or Support Card events.

    All Negative Conditions

There are several Negative Conditions, most of which you’ll encounter during the Training phase of Career Mode. Many stem from failing a Training session, and the risk of these failures rises as your Umamusume’s Energy decreases.

Whenever you plan to train, you can check the Failure Chance for each training routine and decide whether to proceed.

Often, a Negative Condition can be resolved by allowing your Umamusume to Rest or taking her to the Infirmary. However, some Conditions may require multiple visits to fully recover.

  • Eliminating Tarr in Slime Rancher: A Complete Guide

Eliminating Tarr in Slime Rancher: A Complete Guide

As you manage your ranch and nurture your cherished slimes in Slime Rancher, a persistent danger is always present: the Tarr. These menacing slimes pose a threat to the slimes you’re raising, devouring them, creating more Tarr, and even attacking you.

You definitely don’t want these troublesome slimes hanging around your farm or out in the wild. So, where do Tarr come from, and how can you eliminate them? We’ve got all the details you need right here.

    Where Do the Tarr Originate?

Tarr are generated when Largos consume foreign Slime Plorts. For instance, if a Pink Slime eats a Rock Slime plort, it becomes a Largo, a hybrid that shares traits from both types of slimes. But if that Largo consumes another kind of Slime Plort, it transforms into a Tarr Slime.

To prevent the formation of Tarr on your ranch, keep your various Slimes and Largos secure in corrals so they can’t escape and interact with other types of Slimes (and their Plorts). This might entail investing in High Walls or an Air Net.

Tarr can also emerge while you’re exploring beyond your ranch, as wild Slimes will naturally consume other Plorts, becoming Largos and risking transformation into Tarr. Stay alert and consider eliminating them or retreating to safety.

    How Do the Tarr Behave?

The Tarr are troublesome for several reasons, but their greatest threat is that they consume your Slimes, replicating themselves in the process and causing even more mayhem on your ranch. They will also devour your chickens, ruin your crops, and can even attack you.

They can rapidly devastate your entire ranch, so if an outbreak occurs, it’s essential to address it promptly!

What Are Effective Ways to Eliminate Tarr?

You can use your Vacpack to capture Tarr and throw them into the sea or an incinerator, but the simplest method to manage them is to spray water on them. A single splash from your Vacpack can stop Tarr from multiplying, and if you hit them repeatedly with water, you can destroy them.

Is It Possible to Prevent Tarr in Your Gameplay?

The only way to permanently stop Tarr from appearing in your game is to start a save file on Casual Mode, which allows for a more relaxed gameplay experience without Tarr Slimes.

Currently, it seems there’s no way to change your Game Mode after starting a game, so be sure to make a careful choice when you begin your save file.
