  • Deniz Baysal Files for Divorce After Seven Years of Marriage

Deniz Baysal Files for Divorce After Seven Years of Marriage

Digital Phablet – The divorce dispute between Deniz Baysal and Barış Yurtçu has escalated into a contested legal case.

Turkish actress Deniz Baysal and musician Barış Yurtçu are reportedly ending their nearly seven-year marriage following Baysal’s petition for divorce filed at the Istanbul Courthouse, as reported by several Turkish media outlets.

The couple, who tied the knot on September 6, 2019, in a highly publicized wedding in Çeşme, had recently been the subject of breakup rumors. These rumors intensified after it was confirmed that official legal actions had commenced.

The divorce paperwork was reportedly submitted earlier this week. According to Turkish entertainment journalist Birsen Altuntaş, whose reports are widely cited domestically, Baysal filed for divorce at the Istanbul Courthouse earlier this week. She cited “differences in opinions” and “lack of attention” as primary reasons for ending the marriage. Reports also indicate the couple is no longer cohabitating, having separated their household arrangements.

Initially, Baysal hoped the divorce could be settled amicably. However, sources reveal that Yurtçu did not agree to the divorce, shifting the case from an uncontested to a contested legal matter. Consequently, unless the couple reaches an agreement, the case is expected to proceed through the Turkish courts.

Additionally, Baysal has obtained a confidentiality order to prevent speculation and protect the privacy of the legal proceedings during this process. Neither Baysal nor Yurtçu has publicly made statements regarding the reported court filing.

The divorce case follows weeks of mounting speculation about their relationship. Earlier this month, Yurtçu shared a heartfelt video reflecting on trust, heartbreak, and emotional pain, which many fans perceived as a personal message. Despite this, both continue to follow each other on social media and display their wedding and vacation photos, leaving the rumors unconfirmed by the celebrities themselves.

Just a few months prior, Baysal publicly spoke about her marriage, describing their occasional disagreements as normal and healthy, with “sweet arguments” that could add excitement to their relationship, provided they remain respectful.

Throughout their marriage, Baysal and Yurtçu were celebrated as one of Turkey’s most admired celebrity couples, often expressing mutual support while maintaining successful careers in television and music. Baysal remains a prominent figure in Turkish entertainment, known for roles in series like Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları, Söz, Teşkilat, Kaçış, Ne Gemiler Yaktım, and most recently Taşacak Bu Deniz. Yurtçu is the lead vocalist of the Turkish pop-rock band Kolpa and continues to perform with the group.

At this stage, the legal proceedings are based on publicly available information, and neither Deniz Baysal nor Barış Yurtçu has issued an official statement regarding their divorce.

  • UK Defence Minister Healey resigns over PM Starmer’s security failures

UK Defence Minister Healey resigns over PM Starmer’s security failures

British Defense Secretary John Healey walks along Downing Street to attend a cabinet meeting the day before the State Opening of Parliament in London, May 12, 2026—Reuters/File.

    – Healey resigns over delayed and contested Defense Investment Plan (DIP).
    – Resignation follows Streeting’s departure earlier in May.
    – Military officials push for increased defense funding.

Healey stepped down Thursday amid disagreements over military spending, accusing Prime Minister Keir Starmer of failing to allocate sufficient funds to safeguard the nation during a period of rising threats. His surprise departure included a pointed public letter, intensifying pressure on Starmer, who is facing potential leadership challenges and highlighting the government’s dilemma on how to boost defense budgets without additional revenue.

For months, the UK’s defense and finance departments have been in negotiations over how to meet escalating demands for military expenditure, delaying the release of Britain’s Defense Investment Plan (DIP), initially slated for last year.

Defense leaders emphasize the necessity of the plan to address growing security challenges, such as frequent Russian incursions into British waters. Meanwhile, the government struggles with debt reduction efforts amidst the highest tax rates seen in decades.

Healey’s outspoken resignation adds to a series of political shakeups. Starmer has already faced the resignation of Wes Streeting from the health ministry in May, with another politician, Andy Burnham, seeking to re-enter frontline politics and possibly challenge the leadership.

“Inadequate resource commitments from the Treasury threaten our ability to defend the nation during this dangerous time,” Healey wrote in his letter to Starmer.

The UK’s defense sector has voiced frustration over the DIP’s delay, which hampers their capacity to plan long-term investments. The situation is compounded by the U.S. moving away from European security commitments and recent conflicts involving Israel and Iran exposing deficiencies in Britain’s naval preparedness, with ships unable to swiftly respond to regional crises.

The DIP aims to outline funding allocations for military equipment and operations to prepare the armed forces for active combat. Starmer indicated that the plan would be released before the NATO summit starting July 7.

Healey criticized the current financial package, stating, “The DIP funding you provided — which I only saw fully this Monday — falls well short of what’s needed for national security in this perilous period.” He warned that inadequate funding forces decisions that could compromise military readiness and personnel safety, ultimately making the country less secure.

  • How To Dispatch Missions at Greymane Camp in Crimson Desert Using Completing and Solving

How To Dispatch Missions at Greymane Camp in Crimson Desert Using Completing and Solving

As the Greymanes begin to grow again in Crimson Desert, Bustling Hill becomes available as the 45th main quest in Chapter 3’s “Pioneering” sub-chapter. At first, you’ll only have two faction members at the Greymane camp to assign, but this quest marks the first time the game lets you manage the camp mission system directly.

This guide will walk you through every step of the Bustling Hill quest, from accessing the mission menu to passing the time while your teammates handle tasks for you.

How to Start the Bustling Hill Camp Expansion

Once you finish reading the letter from the dragon head at Howling Hill during the previous quest, “A Gentle Touch,” the Bustling Hill quest begins automatically. Your goal is to send Greymane members to complete the Howling Hill Camp Expansion mission. Marius plans to expand the camp’s capacity while Kliff oversees larger strategies.

Inspecting Howling Hill to Dispatch Allies

First, open your map and navigate to the Howling Hill camp. Zoom in and hover your cursor over the camp until a panel appears on the left side. When the prompt shows at the bottom of the map, press Triangle or Y (or double-click on PC) to view camp information.

Make sure you’re properly hovering over the camp—your map icon for Howling Hill should appear slightly raised. If nothing happens, move your cursor a little and try again. After a quick zoom-in transition, a new interface will appear with four tabs at the top-left corner. Use R1 or RB to switch to the “Missions” tab, where you’ll see the “Howling Hill Camp Expansion” listed as the only available mission.

    Choosing and Sending Your Teammates

Select the “Howling Hill Camp Expansion” to view full details. This mission requires exactly two comrades, which is perfect since Luke and Ronald are your only available Freeswords at this point.

Before dispatching, take a moment to review each teammate’s skills. Luke has the Construction skill, which directly improves the effectiveness of this type of mission. Pairing skills with mission types makes a noticeable difference in results.

Once you’ve chosen your teammates, send them off by pressing F (keyboard) or Square/X (controller). The mission will now run in the background, allowing you to continue exploring or completing other tasks.

Waiting for the Mission to Complete

The Camp Expansion takes about 18 in-game hours to finish. An in-game day is roughly two hours in real life, so this isn’t an instant process. You can speed up the wait by:

    • Resting at camp: Sleep in your tent at Howling Hill to skip up to 12 hours.
    • Resting at a bonfire: Any bonfire in the world can be used for rest if you’re away from camp.
    • Playing normally: The mission continues even while you do side quests, trade, or explore.

Remember, the maximum rest duration is 12 hours, so multiple rests or combining resting with active gameplay may be necessary to cover the full time.

When the timer ends, you’ll get a pop-up notification confirming the mission’s completion. Your allies return to camp, and you can go back to Howling Hill to see the expanded camp in action.

How to Dispatch Missions in the Future

Completing Bustling Hill unlocks the full mission dispatch system in Crimson Desert, allowing you to send allies on various missions for faction experience, money, and materials.

You have two main options for managing missions:

    • Via the map: Open the map, hover over locations, and select “Inspect” to view available missions nearby. This is useful when exploring and wanting quick access to local missions.
    • Via Ross at camp: Return to the Greymane camp and find Ross on the west side of the main road. As the Base Camp Dispatch Coordinator, talking to him provides a comprehensive list of current missions, making it faster to dispatch efficiently.

Keep an eye on missions related to the “Grounds of the Sunrise” storyline, as they influence your camp’s progression throughout the game.

  • How to Catch a Pokémon on a Friend’s Island in Pokémon Pokopia

How to Catch a Pokémon on a Friend’s Island in Pokémon Pokopia

When you add Drifloon as a friend in your town and give him a doll, you unlock the ability to visit Dream Islands. While on a Dream Island, you’ll find many items you can bring back to your town.

Each Dream Island has different things to collect, including building materials, collectibles, and event items. One thing you’ll find on all of them, however, is Stardust. So, what exactly is Stardust, and how do you use it in Pokemon Pokopia?

    How to Get Stardust

Star Pieces are made from Stardust. This special material can only be found on Dream Islands. No matter which Dream Island you visit, Stardust is scattered around the edges, especially near or on the beaches. You can also find some in underground areas while exploring the middle of the island.

Since you’ll need a lot of Stardust to make Star Pieces, and you can only visit Dream Islands once per day, it’s a good idea to gather as much as you can each visit.

    How to Get Star Pieces

Star Pieces are crafted at a workbench. The first time you collect Stardust, you’ll learn how to make Star Pieces. It takes 99 Stardust to craft one Star Piece. Crafting is the only way to get Star Pieces. Although 99 Stardust might seem like a lot for one Star Piece, each visit to a Dream Island usually yields around 50 Stardust, so it adds up fast.

What to Do with Star Pieces

Once you craft a Star Piece, you can use it in a couple of ways. If you’re playing multiplayer and visiting friends’ towns, you can invite a Pokémon from their town to visit your town. To do this, travel to your friend’s town, talk to the Pokémon you want to move in, and give them the Star Piece you made. In return, your friend will give you a special gift named after them.

When you receive this gift in your town, open it near an empty lot, and you’ll befriend a Pokémon of the same species that was in your friend’s town. The Pokémon will then move into your town.

Don’t worry—you’re not stealing a Pokémon from your friend. The Pokémon that joins you will be a duplicate of the species, not the specific Pokémon your friend owns.

Star Pieces are also used to create Rare Pokemetal. A Pokémon with the Rarify ability can take a Star Piece and transform it into Rare Pokemetal.

  • Hiding from Sniffer in Chapter One of Reanimal: Completing the Challenge

Hiding from Sniffer in Chapter One of Reanimal: Completing the Challenge

In Reanimal, a scary game from Tarsier Studios—the creators of Little Nightmares—you play as two orphaned kids trying to save their friends from mysterious monsters. The story starts with you controlling the male orphan, who is in a small wooden boat. He practices steering and accelerating in open waters, guided by buoy lights, toward a girl orphan floating nearby. Once you rescue her, you continue navigating through narrow rocky passages, using her lantern to look around while steering carefully to avoid damaging naval mines outside an abandoned factory in a forested waterway. After docking on a beach, you control the male orphan and explore the area, finding a key inside suitcases on the beach to open a door leading inside the factory.

You then enter a sewer system, crawling through grates and moving past dark tunnels until reaching the factory’s upper levels. Outside, you witness a shadowy figure closing a garage door—later identified as Sniffer, the first antagonist—who is dangerous and will attack if he catches you. You slip inside the factory, climbing ladders, crossing high platforms, and solving puzzles involving rotating pipes and power boxes. During this exploration, you find collectibles like masks and posters, and encounter another child who warns you to leave. Moving through broken floors and dark rooms, you rescue the female orphan, using teamwork to cross hazardous areas.

Progressing further, you climb a high wall with the mechanic’s help, and encounter a boy who tells you to leave. You then find a missing rail cart wheel by a desk, which you attach to restore the cart. As skin suits—hostile enemies—begin to chase you, you work quickly to escape back outside, pushing the cart along the tracks to leave the factory behind.

Next, you head into the train yard, entering through a crack in the wall near a bathroom where you grab a toilet plunger to retrieve a key. You avoid Sniffer, who is actively hunting you, hiding behind suitcases and crates while carefully moving in crouch mode to stay hidden. Reaching the train, you use levers with your partner to start moving the train out of the yard. Sniffer chases you, forcing a frantic escape by running across bridges and through the environment until you finally get outside with the rail cart wheel.

In the following chapter, “Into the Forest,” you jump down onto the ground and follow a path through woods, using the orphan’s flashlight to see in dark areas. You’re chased again by skin suits, which you outrun by taking alternate routes, including across logs and fences, until you reach a clearing with Sniffer’s ice cream van, which begins chasing you downhill. You and your friend manage to escape by jumping over a ledge, but Sniffer captures your other friend, ending the first chapter of Reanimal.

  • How To Escape From Jail In My Winter Car Through Completing and Solving

How To Escape From Jail In My Winter Car Through Completing and Solving

Driving in My Winter Car can be tricky, especially with your first vehicle, the Sorbett. It’s not built for snowy conditions, making it easy to lose control and accidentally harm others. Of course, you wouldn’t want to hurt anyone, but mistakes happen. Unfortunately, that can lead to serious consequences.

My Winter Car has a prison system, and this guide explains how it works and how you can get out if you end up behind bars.

Note: The game is still in Early Access, so details here might change later.

    How the Prison System Works

The game has an invisible Wanted system that activates when you perform certain actions. You won’t know you’re being hunted until it’s too late. For example, you might be sleeping at home when suddenly, you hear knocks at your door — it’s the police.

When you open the door, two officers will show up. They’ll serve you an arrest warrant, which you must read and sign. Then, you’ll find yourself locked in a jail cell.

Important: Once you’re wanted, escape is impossible. Police will be stationed at all exits, blocking every way out.

How Do You End Up in Jail?

There are a few actions that can land you behind bars:

    • Punching an unconscious NPC
    • Not stopping during police traffic checks
    • Crashing your vehicle into another car and causing the driver’s death
    • Hitting a pedestrian with your car
    • Ignoring unpaid fines

While these are documented in the game’s wiki, actually triggering them can be tricky, as NPCs often don’t react much, and killing someone with your car isn’t easy.

How to Get Out of Jail

After signing the warrant, you’ll spawn in a cell. On the upper left of your screen, you’ll see your usual stats plus a new one: Jail Days. To get out, you need to serve your sentence.

One in-game day equals about two real hours, so plan accordingly. The length of your sentence depends on how serious your crimes are. You can be arrested for multiple crimes, which all add up.

Warning: If your sentence exceeds ten days, it’s basically a game over.

In your cell, there’s not much to do — just a radio and a TV that’s not very entertaining. You can sleep or wait for your sentence to end. Alternatively, you might consider starting a new game.

Use MWC CheatBox to Exit Jail Quickly

If you’ve played for a while and don’t want to wait out your sentence, there’s a shortcut. By installing the MWC CheatBox mod, you can access a setting that instantly releases you from jail. This is a handy way to skip the time and continue playing without losing progress.

  • How to Get the Corris Rivett by Completing Reijo’s Quest and Solving Mysteries

How to Get the Corris Rivett by Completing Reijo’s Quest and Solving Mysteries

In My Winter Car, your journey begins with a simple vehicle: the Sorbet 1600 LTD. This is your basic, everyday car used for traveling around town and completing tasks. But if you’re a car enthusiast, you’ll probably want to find a project car as soon as you can. That’s where the Corris Rivett comes into play.

The Corris Rivett is in poor shape, and it’s up to you to gather the right parts and repair it. Here’s everything you need to know about locating, purchasing, and restoring the Corris Rivett in My Winter Car.

How to Get the Corris Rivett from Reijo

First, you need to notify Reijo, the seller, that you’re heading over so he can be there. His phone number is posted on the noticeboard at the PSK gas station nearby, but to save a trip, you can call him directly at 08 609 553 using the phone in your apartment.

When calling Reijo, use the keypad on your keyboard. Make sure not to hang up before he finishes talking, as this will prevent the location from being marked on your map, and you won’t be able to buy the car. Dial the number, be patient as he speaks for a while, and wait for the call to end. Once the call is over, the location of Reijo and the Corris Rivett will be marked on your apartment map.

Travel to the marked location during the day — Reijo isn’t available at night — and you’ll be able to purchase the car for about 500 MK. Right now, it’s mainly just a frame with some rough parts lying around, so your task is to rebuild it to your specifications.

Where to Find Parts for the Corris Rivett

Rebuilding your project car takes some time, money, and effort. Parts can be sourced from a few key places: the magazine in PSK, the AMIS magazine found in your parents’ garage, and your local mechanic, Fleetari.

Here’s what parts are available at each location:

    Ordering Parts via Classified Ads

Anything else you need can be found in the classified ads magazine at PSK. Purchase the magazine there, then take it home and access it on your phone.

To order a part, pick up the receiver and open the magazine. Find the part you want and enter the corresponding number using your keypad. Wait for the call to end, and eventually, the item will arrive in your PSK mailbox. Pay for it at the counter when you pick it up and take it home to finish your car build.

You can only hold one of each Mega Stone, so if you already have a Greninjite, you won’t be able to get another.

Any Pokémon Mega Evolved with Mega Stones earned from ranked battles don’t count towards your Mega Evolution Pokédex completion.

  • The Surprising Collapse of Trump and Musk’s Alliance

The Surprising Collapse of Trump and Musk’s Alliance

Trump and Musk: A Growing Rift

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a recent private meeting at the White House, President Donald Trump expressed confusion and frustration regarding Elon Musk’s criticism of his expansive tax and spending bill. According to two officials close to the situation, Trump refrained from confronting Musk directly, aiming to maintain the billionaire’s political and financial support as the midterm elections approached.

By Thursday afternoon, the atmosphere had shifted significantly. Trump had not had any communication with Musk since the latter’s public criticisms, which one aide referred to as a "completely irrational" outburst on his social media platform, X.

Musk had derided Trump’s tax proposal as financially reckless, labeling it a "disgusting abomination" and vowing to oppose any Republican who backed it. This particular piece of legislation aligned closely with many of Trump’s priorities, yet it would also add an estimated $2.4 trillion to the nation’s already staggering $36.2 trillion public debt, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

In private discussions, Trump had deemed Musk unpredictable. By Thursday, he felt it was time to be more assertive.

While alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the Oval Office, Trump described his disappointment in Musk to reporters. Musk quickly retaliated on social media, escalating the conflict that soon ensued.

On his platform, Truth Social, Trump suggested that cutting Musk’s government subsidies and contracts would save the U.S. billions. Musk, in turn, hinted at the possibility of forming a new political party and shared a post from Ian Miles Cheong, a vocal supporter, calling for Trump’s impeachment.

Previously, their alliance had been unprecedented in Washington, where a sitting president granted a billionaire entrepreneur considerable access and influence. Musk had notably donated nearly $300 million to fund Trump’s campaign and other Republican initiatives last year.

Musk had been playing both roles of insider and provocateur, contributing to policy discussions while promoting Trump’s agenda to his massive online following, casting doubt on federal spending through his self-proclaimed Department of Government Efficiency.

Just a week prior, Trump had honored Musk with a farewell event, declaring that "Elon is really not leaving." Yet, Musk had not only distanced himself; he now emerged as a top critic. Following Trump’s Oval Office statements, a third official expressed surprise at Musk’s sudden change of heart, admitting it "caught the president and the entire West Wing off guard."

Musk did not respond to requests for comment, nor did his super PAC, America PAC, or spokesperson Katie Miller.

The White House later described the rift as an "unfortunate episode," attributing Musk’s dissatisfaction to the exclusion of his desired policies from what they referred to as the One Big Beautiful Bill.

    From Partners to Opponents

The fallout from the Trump-Musk breakup had immediate consequences. Tesla’s stock plummeted by 14%, creating uncertainty among Trump’s Congressional allies who were rallying to push the massive spending bill that faced pushback from a handful of Democrats and outspoken Republicans.

The split poses risks for both leaders. For Trump, losing Musk’s endorsement complicates his reach to tech donors, social media influencers, and younger male voters—audiences that are now more challenging to engage. This potential disconnect could hinder his fundraising efforts prior to the upcoming midterm elections.

For Musk, the stakes are arguably higher. This fracture may intensify scrutiny of his business dealings, potentially jeopardizing government contracts and inviting regulatory investigations that could threaten his companies’ profitability.

Many of Musk’s associates were taken aback by the rapid decline in their relationship, especially since recent conversations had portrayed a sense of enduring partnership.

The underlying tensions had been brewing for weeks, particularly surrounding Trump’s decision to withdraw the nomination of Jared Isaacman, Musk’s choice for NASA administrator. Musk was reportedly displeased about this decision.

Isaacman, a billionaire entrepreneur and close ally of Musk, was perceived as crucial for advancing Musk’s vision for space exploration. Following the nomination’s cancellation, Isaacman expressed gratitude to Trump and supporters, although the decision was seen as a clear snub to Musk, exacerbating their rift.

In the weeks leading up to this fallout, White House officials had already started to limit Musk’s influence by gradually diminishing his control over staffing and budget matters. Trump had emphasized that department heads would retain the ultimate authority over agency operations.

Simultaneously, Musk began signaling that his time in the government might be coming to an end while expressing frustrations about not being able to implement spending cuts as vigorously as he wished. His criticisms of Trump’s bill amplified, yet many within the White House assumed they wouldn’t significantly sway the legislation’s course, although there were concerns that Musk’s threats to withdraw political funding could have repercussions for the midterms.

Despite this, one official downplayed Musk’s impact on the president’s legislation, stating, "We’re very confident. No one has changed their minds." However, there was confusion within the White House over how a relationship that had just been lauded in the Oval Office could deteriorate so quickly.

The future remains uncertain, and aides have arranged for a call between Trump and Musk in hopes of mending the rift.

  • Trump Imposes Travel Ban on Iran, Afghanistan, and 10 More Nations

Trump Imposes Travel Ban on Iran, Afghanistan, and 10 More Nations

Sure! Here’s a rewritten version of the content in American English, made unique:

Trump Signs Travel Ban Affecting Twelve Countries

WASHINGTON: On June 4, 2025, President Donald Trump reintroduced a travel ban impacting nationals from twelve countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, and Yemen, marking a revival of one of the most contentious policies from his initial term.

The decision followed a disturbing incident in Colorado, where a makeshift flamethrower was used during a protest supporting Jewish individuals. U.S. officials traced the attack back to an individual who was allegedly in the country without legal status.

Under the new guidelines, individuals from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen face a complete travel ban into the United States. Additionally, a partial ban applies to travelers from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela, although some temporary work visas from these nations may still be granted.

The White House confirmed that the restrictions will take effect on Monday. "The recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, has highlighted the significant risks associated with allowing improperly vetted foreign nationals to enter our country," Trump stated in a video message from the Oval Office shared on X. "We don’t want them here."

    Athletes Exempt from Restrictions

Notably, the ban will not apply to athletes participating in the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, nor to those competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, according to Trump’s order.

In a separate announcement, Trump also imposed restrictions on visas for foreign students intending to enroll at Harvard University, intensifying his efforts against what he perceives as a strongly liberal institution.

He likened the revised travel ban to the significant restrictions he imposed during his first term, which disrupted travel worldwide. Trump claimed that the previous measures had prevented terror attacks similar to those experienced in Europe. "We will not allow what occurred in Europe to take place in America," he said. "We cannot have unrestricted migration from countries where safe and reliable vetting is not possible."

Venezuela responded by asserting that the U.S. is not a safe destination. Diosdado Cabello, the Venezuelan Interior Minister, warned his fellow citizens against traveling to the United States, stating, "It presents a significant risk for anyone, not just Venezuelans."

However, Trump’s latest travel ban is likely to face legal challenges, consistent with many of the sweeping actions he has taken since returning to office.

    Details of the Travel Ban

The White House announced the ban shortly after Trump had addressed about 3,000 political appointees from a balcony at a "summer soiree." The announcement was made without any reporters present, a departure from Trump’s customary practice of revealing policy shifts during Oval Office signing ceremonies.

After the Colorado attack, speculations regarding a new travel ban circulated, with Trump’s administration pledging to pursue "terrorists" in the U.S. on visas. The suspect, Mohammed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national, is accused of throwing incendiary devices at a gathering advocating for Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

U.S. Homeland Security officials reported that Soliman was in the country illegally after overstaying a tourist visa, despite having applied for asylum in September 2022. White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson remarked on X that "President Trump is honoring his commitment to shield Americans from harmful foreign actors seeking to enter our country."

The travel ban was based on specific risks posed by each listed country, highlighting the goal of protecting the U.S. from "foreign terrorists and other national security threats." Notably, Egypt was left off the travel restrictions list.

For nations like Taliban-ruled Afghanistan and conflict-ridden Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen, the proclamation pointed out their lack of "competent" authorities for passport processing and vetting. Meanwhile, Iran, noted as a "state sponsor of terrorism" amid ongoing nuclear negotiations with the U.S., was included in the list.

Jamal Abdi, President of the National Iranian American Council, criticized the ban, saying, "Once again, families will be separated, missing weddings, funerals, and the births of their children," adding that individuals from many other countries might also face challenges with visa overstays.

US Prosecutors Increase Scrutiny on Indian Tycoon Adani: WSJ

Adani Group Under U.S. Investigation for Alleged Sanctions Evasion

U.S. authorities are looking into whether businesses belonging to Indian billionaire Gautam Adani imported Iranian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) into India via Mundra port, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The investigation revealed that certain tankers traveling between Mundra, located in Gujarat, India, and the Persian Gulf exhibited behaviors typically associated with vessels attempting to skirt sanctions, as stated by industry experts.

The U.S. Department of Justice is scrutinizing the operations of various LPG tankers that have transported cargo for Adani Enterprises, as reported by WSJ, which cited anonymous sources familiar with the situation.

A spokesperson for Adani Group strongly denied any intentional involvement in sanction violations or trade linked to Iranian LPG. They added, "We have no information suggesting that U.S. authorities are conducting any investigation on this matter."

Neither Gautam Adani, the Justice Department, nor the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn responded promptly to requests for comments from Reuters.

In May, former President Donald Trump emphasized that all imports of Iranian oil or petrochemical products should cease, warning that any entities that purchase from Iran would face immediate secondary sanctions.

This investigation into Adani’s actions follows months after U.S. prosecutors indicted him and his nephew, Sagar Adani, alleging they engaged in bribery to secure power supply contracts and misled U.S. investors during fundraising efforts in the States.

The Adani Group has labeled these allegations as "baseless" and expressed its intent to pursue "all available legal options."

Fukushima’s Soil Recycling Challenge: Japan’s Tough Choice

Iitate, Japan: In an effort to minimize radiation levels throughout Japan’s northern Fukushima region after the catastrophic nuclear incident in 2011, officials removed layers of contaminated soil from extensive areas.

Now, as a new generation of farmers strives to revitalize a region once celebrated for its exquisite produce, authorities are grappling with what to do with the massive amount of soil—enough to fill over ten baseball stadiums.

    Why was the soil removed?

The earthquake that struck on March 11, 2011, was Japan’s most powerful on record, sending a massive tsunami crashing into the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, leading to a catastrophic meltdown. Soil extraction was part of extensive decontamination measures that involved high-pressure water jets being used on buildings and roads.

While most areas in Fukushima have gradually been deemed safe, many former residents are hesitant to return due to ongoing concerns about radiation or have settled in other locations entirely. However, new residents like 25-year-old kiwi farmer Takuya Haraguchi have begun to move into the area.

“I want people to understand what Fukushima is truly like these days,” he expressed to AFP.

Where is the soil being stored?

Approximately 14 million cubic meters of soil are currently being held at temporary storage facilities located near the Fukushima Daiichi plant. The government has assured the residents that a permanent storage solution will be established elsewhere in the country by 2045.

For the time being, the large mounds of soil are securely contained within guarded sites, layered with clean soil and artificial coverings to prevent runoff contaminating the environment.

What are the plans for the soil?

The government aims to repurpose the soil for construction projects, specifically for building road and railway embankments. They are committed to ensuring that this work takes place outside of Fukushima to limit the additional strain on the region, which previously supplied power to Tokyo and neighboring urban areas.

So far, there have been few willing partners in other regions of Japan, and some local officials speculate that a portion of the soil might remain in Fukushima itself. The prime minister’s office recently announced intentions to symbolically recycle some of the soil, intending to use it for flowerbeds to demonstrate its safety.

    Is the soil safe?

According to the environmental ministry, around 75% of the stored soil has radiation levels equivalent to or lower than a yearly exposure to a single X-ray for those who might stand on or work with it. To hermetically seal the radioactive material, Akira Asakawa, a ministry official involved in the Fukushima soil initiative, recommends using asphalt, agricultural soil, or other materials.

Initial tests by the government involved constructing roads and fields using the contaminated soil as a fill material, which did not show increased levels of radiation, nor was there any runoff of radioactive substances to adjacent areas, Asakawa noted.

    What criticism has been raised?

In 2022, there was significant backlash from local communities regarding the national government’s proposal to transport the Fukushima soil to a popular park in Tokyo and other nearby locations. That proposal has not advanced, and suitable alternative sites have yet to be confirmed, despite public empathy for Fukushima’s residents.

The environmental ministry plans to enhance its outreach efforts this year to better communicate the safety measures being implemented in relation to this plan.

Did Elon Musk Really Get a Black Eye from His Son?

Sure! Here’s a unique version of the content rewritten in American English:

Elon Musk’s Press Conference Appearance Turns Heads

WASHINGTON: Billionaire Elon Musk drew considerable attention at the White House when he appeared with a black eye on his last day in the role under President Donald Trump.

Curiosity sparked among onlookers about the cause of his injury. Musk clarified that it was an innocent mishap involving his five-year-old son, X Æ A-12.

“I was just having some fun with little X and jokingly said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face,’” the 53-year-old entrepreneur told reporters, explaining how he got the shiner. “And he actually did! I didn’t feel much at the moment, but it seems these things can bruise up.”

The press conference was hosted by Trump to commemorate Musk’s departure from his position at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Despite his growing dissatisfaction with the role, Musk indicated he would continue to be a “friend and advisor.”

The backdrop of the event was marred by claims in The New York Times suggesting Musk had engaged in substance abuse during Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Trump remarked that he “didn’t notice” Musk’s bruise but humorously suggested: “X has that capability, if you know him.”

Musk’s son X, whose full name is X Æ A-Xii, was frequently seen at the White House during his father’s efforts to streamline government spending. He even made appearances, including sitting on Musk’s shoulders during his first Oval Office visit in February and was spotted engaged in playful antics next to Trump’s Resolute Desk.

In a playful moment, Musk took a jab at French President Emmanuel Macron related to his black eye. When Trump was asked about a video showing Macron’s wife seemingly pushing him, Musk chuckled and remarked, “Well, I’ve got my own little shiner here.”

Sporting a DOGE baseball cap and a T-shirt that read “The Dogefather,” he lightheartedly joked again when asked about his injury: “I was nowhere near France!”

Court Denies Trump’s Attempt to Exclude Harvard’s International Students

CAMBRIDGE: A U.S. court has halted President Donald Trump’s efforts to prevent Harvard University from enrolling international students.

The presiding judge stated that foreign students must be safeguarded while the legal dispute unfolds. This decision comes as Trump intensifies his criticism of elite universities over allegations of political bias.

Thousands of students donned their crimson-trimmed gowns to celebrate their graduation on Thursday.

Trump has focused his campaign against prestigious universities primarily on Harvard, threatening to withhold funding due to what he describes as liberal bias and anti-Semitic sentiments.

Judge Allison Burroughs indicated that she would soon issue a preliminary injunction to offer “some protection” to international students while both parties contest the legality of Trump’s actions.

“Our students are frightened, and we’re already witnessing transfers to other institutions,” remarked Harvard’s attorney, Ian Gershengorn, during the Boston hearing.

In a last-minute submission before the hearing, the Trump administration formally expressed its intent to revoke Harvard’s authorization to enroll foreign students, initiating the official process.

This notification granted Harvard a 30-day period to provide justification for why it shouldn’t be barred from admitting international students, who currently represent 27% of the university’s total enrollment.

Burroughs had earlier put a temporary stop to the policy and extended that suspension on Thursday while awaiting the new injunction. She expressed her intention to assess whether the actions of Trump’s officials were motivated by retaliation.

A law professor, present in the crowded courtroom, asserted that the Trump administration was exacerbating the distress experienced by students.

“Harvard is stuck in limbo. What options does an international student have?” questioned the Harvard Law School alumni, who chose to remain anonymous.

    ‘Pride and Acknowledgment’

Burroughs also noted that there existed “the looming possibility of further actions” from the government that could hinder Harvard from accommodating international students.

The Ivy League institution has persistently been a target of Trump’s scrutiny, as it publicly rebuffed his administration’s consistent demands regarding recruitment, curricula, and research priorities.

“Harvard is treating our country with immense disrespect, and their situation is only getting worse,” Trump stated on Wednesday.

Harvard’s President, Alan Garber, received enthusiastic applause when he acknowledged the presence of international students at the graduation ceremony with their families, declaring it to be “the way it should be.” He refrained from directly addressing the ongoing dispute with Trump.

Garber’s comments were met with a standing ovation, which one student described to AFP as a reflection of the community’s pride and approval.

In leading the legal resistance within U.S. academia, Garber has spoken out against Trump’s actions, which have also targeted several other prestigious institutions, including Columbia, which made significant concessions to recover $400 million in lost federal funding.

Garber has acknowledged that Harvard faces challenges related to anti-Semitism and the need to cultivate an environment where diverse viewpoints can be freely expressed.

Graduating student Uzma Farheen from India, who earned a Master of Public Health, stated that the occasion represented “a celebration of the global community.”

“We stand united in embodying what Harvard represents—truth, integrity, and inclusivity,” she expressed to AFP.

Before the ceremony—during which legendary actress Rita Moreno was awarded an honorary degree—members of the Harvard band, clad in crimson blazers, paraded through the narrow streets of Cambridge.

Hundreds of students convened in front of a large stage to listen to speeches—including one delivered entirely in Latin—on a grassy area that was closed off to the public for security reasons.

Many attendees from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government waved inflatable globes to symbolize the school’s international character.

“The past two months have been incredibly challenging. I felt very exposed,” shared 36-year-old Lorena Mejia, a Colombian graduate with a Master in Public Administration, proudly wearing robes that indicated her nationality.

Iran Might Permit US Inspectors from Nuclear Watchdog if Agreement Reached

    • Tehran and Washington have conducted five rounds of nuclear discussions.
    • Eslami states that US inspectors might be permitted if Iran’s conditions are acknowledged.
    • The Iranian president expressed gratitude to Oman for its mediation efforts.

On Wednesday, Iran indicated that it might allow American inspectors from the UN nuclear watchdog to examine its facilities if a deal can be struck with the United States.

Iran has faced long-standing accusations from Western nations of pursuing nuclear weapons, allegations that Tehran vehemently denies, asserting that its nuclear program is intended solely for peaceful purposes.

In recent weeks, Tehran and Washington have engaged in five rounds of discussions regarding this matter, marking their highest-level communications since the US exited the 2015 nuclear accord during Donald Trump’s first term in 2018.

“We have always been cautious about accepting inspectors from countries that have acted hostility toward us over time,” stated Iran’s nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, referring to personnel from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

“Tehran will reconsider permitting American inspectors through the agency if a deal is finalized and Iran’s demands are addressed,” he noted.

Since assuming office in January, President Trump has reinstated a “maximum pressure” strategy against Iran, which includes imposing additional sanctions on the nation.

On Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei announced that “consultations are ongoing regarding the timing and venue for the next round of negotiations and will be shared by Oman once finalized.”

President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is currently visiting Oman, thanked the Gulf nation for facilitating discussions between the two countries, which have not had formal diplomatic relations since 1979.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is accompanying Pezeshkian in Oman, said that “details regarding the new round of negotiations are expected to be clarified in the coming days.”

    Non-Negotiable Issues

While Iranian officials have welcomed the talks, they have consistently stated that uranium enrichment is “non-negotiable.” U.S. officials, including Washington’s representative in the discussions, Steve Witkoff, have also openly identified this as a significant boundary.

Eslami added that the topic of enrichment “has not been raised at all” and that “the enrichment percentage should not be politicized.”

“The enrichment level depends on how the uranium is used. The production of highly enriched uranium does not automatically imply military usage,” he explained to reporters.

Baqaei emphasized that “the continuation of enrichment in Iran is an inseparable part of the country’s nuclear industry and a fundamental principle for the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“Any proposals or initiatives that contradict this principle or threaten this right are unacceptable,” he affirmed.

Currently, Iran enriches uranium to up to 60% purity, the highest level achieved by any non-nuclear weapons state. Although this is still below the 90% required for a nuclear weapon, it significantly exceeds the 3.67% ceiling set by the 2015 agreement.

The European parties to the 2015 nuclear deal—France, Germany, and the United Kingdom—are considering triggering the agreement’s “snapback” mechanism, which would reinstate UN sanctions against Iran for failure to comply.

Tehran has repeatedly warned against implementing this measure.

President Macron Lightheartedly Responds to Wife’s Playful Gesture During Vietnam Visit

On May 25, 2025, as President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, arrived in Vietnam to kick off their Southeast Asia tour, a light-hearted moment occurred. In footage captured at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Brigitte was seen playfully pushing her husband in the face as he prepared to step off the presidential plane.

The incident, which caused a brief pause in Emmanuel Macron’s steps before he composed himself and waved to onlookers, seemed more humorous than serious. Brigitte momentarily disappeared behind the plane, obscuring her body language, before they descended the staircase together, with Brigitte not taking her husband’s arm.

Addressing the media in Hanoi, Macron dismissed the encounter, saying, "I was just teasing, or rather joking with my wife. It’s no big deal." He added a word of caution regarding how video content featuring him has been misrepresented by people he called "crackpots."

Macron also referred to a recent incident where a video circulated on social media showing him removing a crumpled paper from a train table during a visit to Ukraine. Some users baselessly speculated that it was a bag of cocaine. In response, Macron clarified it was merely a tissue and his office accused opponents of spreading misinformation.

An official from the Elysee stated earlier on Monday that the video highlighted a moment of relaxation and humor between the couple before their trip commenced.

US Officially Receives Qatar’s Luxury Jet for Trump

The U.S. government has accepted a Boeing 747 jet as a gift from Qatar, with the Air Force now tasked to find a quick way to upgrade it for use as a new Air Force One, according to reports from various outlets on Wednesday.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the $400 million acquisition and has directed the Air Force to expedite the modifications needed for it to serve as the official aircraft for President Donald Trump, as first reported by the New York Times.

Legal experts have raised questions regarding laws governing gifts from foreign governments, which are intended to prevent corruption and undue influence. Additionally, there has been pushback from Democratic lawmakers aiming to halt the transfer.

Qatar has responded to these concerns by downplaying the significance of the aircraft deal. Trump himself has dismissed any ethical implications, asserting that it would be “foolish” not to accept the jet.

Other media, including Bloomberg, CBS News, and CNBC, confirmed the agreement, citing a spokesperson from the Pentagon. Representatives from the Department of Defense and the Qatari government were unavailable for immediate comment.
