How to Obtain Mistril Weapons and Armor in Fields of Mistria Through Completing and Solving

As you explore the town in Fields of Mistria, there will come a point where your starting tools and armor won’t be enough anymore. As you progress, you’ll need to upgrade your equipment. The lower levels of the mines require better-quality weapons and armor, and we’ll guide you on how to find them.

Mistril is a very strong material and has a distinctive pink color that’s easy to recognize. You can only find it after breaking the Ruins Seal and entering levels 81 to 99 in the mines.

You’ll discover mistril ore like any other, with pink nodes protruding from the ground. However, be aware that it doesn’t appear in the pink geodes that produce pink diamonds, even though they look similar.

Once you gather enough mistril, you can smelt it into ingots at the blacksmith. It takes ten ore to make one ingot, and four ingots are needed to craft weapons, tools, or armor. Here’s what you need to know:

    • Use the dragon statue in the mines to buy skills that make collecting ore easier.
    • Using mistril ingots, you can craft various tools and armor sets.

    All Mistril Tools and Armor

    Mistril Tools

    Name Materials Damage
Mistril Pickaxe 4 Mistril Ingot 6 Damage
Mistril Axe 4 Mistril Ingot 6 Damage

Mistril Shovel 4 Mistril Ingot N/A
Mistril Bug Net 4 Mistril Ingot N/A
Mistril Sword 4 Mistril Ingot 24 Damage

    Mistril Armor

Mistril Armor 4 Mistril Ingot 10
Mistril Helmet 4 Mistril Ingot 10
Mistril Ring 4 Mistril Ingot 10
Mistril Boots 4 Mistril Ingot 10
Mistril Legplates 4 Mistril Ingot 10

Each piece of Mistril armor you wear will help light up dark levels in the mines! To craft these tools and armor, your smithing skill needs to be level 28, though you can start making Mistril ingots at level 8.

  • How to Completing and Solving Terrariums in Fields of Mistria

How to Completing and Solving Terrariums in Fields of Mistria

There is a lot to do in Mistria as you rebuild the town. From peaceful ranching to exploring deeper into the mines, you’ll find yourself busy trying to gather everything available. Luckily, there’s a simpler way to attract those annoying bugs and fish.

Using a terrarium, you can easily make bugs and fish come to you. Here’s what you need to know about unlocking this device, how to craft more, and how to use it to create bug pheromones and fish bait for your own use in Fields of Mistria.

    How to Unlock Terrariums

As your town’s reputation grows, you’ll receive a letter from Luc about a new project. Meet him at the Inn to find out that the capital is willing to give Mistria permission to use terrariums if you can meet certain requirements.

Luc can handle most of it, but since he’s just a kid, he’s asking for your help. All you need to do is collect and ship 20 bugs of any rarity. It’s best to focus on common bugs first and save the rare and elusive ones for later.

Once you’ve shipped the 20 bugs, talk to Adeline to receive your first terrarium and the blueprint to craft more.

    How to Craft Terrariums

Once you learn the recipe, you can craft as many terrariums as you want. You’ll need to reach woodcrafting level 10 and gather these materials:

    • 25 pieces of wood
    • 5 pieces of glass
    • 5 pieces of sod
    • 4 iron ingots

These terrariums can be placed outside your farmhouse to gradually produce bug pheromones and fish bait. Keep in mind, the item you’ll get from them will be random each time.

How to Get Bug Pheromones and Fish Bait

The only reliable way to get bug pheromones is by placing four bugs into a terrarium. Every three days, you’ll be able to collect what’s inside for your use.

Bug pheromones allow you to instantly summon bugs of the same rarity as the pheromones used, making it easier to collect them all. Fish bait works similarly, spawning specific types of fish based on their rarity. However, obtaining these resources isn’t free; you’ll need to gift bugs items like a Morel Mushroom or other favors in exchange for the serum.

Different rarities of bug pheromones and fish bait include:

    • Common
    • Uncommon
    • Rare
    • Legendary

    Additional Tips

Bug pheromones can be used anywhere bugs spawn, including the mines, to help with collection.

  • How to upgrade the Carpenter and solve greenhouses in Fields of Mistria

How to upgrade the Carpenter and solve greenhouses in Fields of Mistria

There’s a lot to do in Fields of Mistria — from your daily farm work to helping the town recover and grow after an earthquake. With some careful planning, you can handle it all. When it’s time to upgrade Ryis and Landen’s carpenter’s shop, you’ll find that you already understand how the process works.

Upgrading the carpenter’s shop not only makes Ryis and Landen more skilled but also unlocks new blueprints, like the greenhouse. Growing crops is essential for your income, and the greenhouse will help you plan your long-term farm layout.

    How to Upgrade the Carpenter

First, you need to reach town rank 75. Keep an eye on your mail for a letter from Adeline, then meet her at the carpenter’s workshop on the Eastern Road.

Ryis will mention that the idea to upgrade the shop came during the Saturday Market stalls, and he asks for your help along with Adeline. Fortunately, this time, the town’s funds will cover the tesserae costs.

    To upgrade, gather these materials:

Item Quantity How to Get It
100 Use 10 stones in the Mine’s stone refinery to make refined stone.
Glass 100 Win against Enchanters in the mines, usually found between floors 5 and 15.
Crystal 30 Find in the deep sections of the mines—hit crystals with your sword.
Obsidian 30 Found in the Lava Caves by hitting black crystals with your sword.

Once you have gathered all the materials, drop them off in the chest outside the carpenter’s shop. Talk to Adeline to start construction and trigger a cutscene. Once the process is complete, new blueprints will be available at the carpenter’s.

Tip: You can purchase raw materials from Ryis and Landen now that they have more stock.

    How to Build a Greenhouse

As a reward for your efforts upgrading the carpenter’s shop, you’ll receive a free blueprint for a small greenhouse. You can place it on your property and start building it with these materials:

Blueprint Cost Interior Space Materials Needed
    Small Greenhouse
    Available in White and Wood
    $50,000 Tesserae 5×5 plot
(25 crops, 24 with a sprinkler in the center)
Hard Wood (20), Glass (20), Refined Stone (20)

You can also build a larger version with:

Blueprint Cost Interior Space Materials Needed
    Large Greenhouse
    Available in White and Wood
    $100,000 Tesserae 10×10 plot
    (100 crops, 96 with sprinklers)
Hard Wood (40), Glass (40), Refined Stone (40)

    Best Greenhouse Layouts

The small greenhouse can hold 24 crops with a sprinkler in the center. It’s worth upgrading to the larger one as soon as possible. Inside your greenhouse, crops will grow regardless of season.

Focus on crops that produce multiple harvests, like strawberries or snow peas, which will keep growing endlessly inside the greenhouse.

The larger greenhouse allows for up to 100 crops, with most watered automatically by sprinklers in each 5×5 grid. You can decorate the interior to match your style, and placing signs can help organize what’s grown where.

If you need to move your greenhouse later, interact with the outside sign to remove it. You’ll get your materials back, but any crops inside will be lost. Harvested crops or decorations inside can be recovered.

  • How to Get Taliferro Visiting in Fields of Mistria by Completing and Solving

How to Get Taliferro Visiting in Fields of Mistria by Completing and Solving

As you build your reputation in Fields of Mistria, you’ll take on several quests to help restore and improve the town after a major earthquake. The more tasks you complete, the more the town will flourish, unlocking new rewards and areas to explore.

One key upgrade involves the weekly market, where vendors from all across the kingdom come to sell their goods. To attract more vendors, you need to increase your town’s rank and construct the right vendor stalls. Here’s what you need to know to get started.

How to Unlock the Saturday Market Upgrade

Before you can discuss upgrading the Saturday Market with Adeline, you must reach town rank 65. The best way to do this is by completing requests as soon as they appear to boost your reputation.

Tip: Focus most of your efforts on Crown Requests starting at level 60, as these give higher renown rewards.

Once you hit rank 65, check your mailbox for a letter from Adeline. She’ll want to meet with you—just find her on your map and start a conversation to begin the quest. She will then take you to Nora to talk about building new vendor stalls that will bring in more profitable vendors. To do this, you’ll need to gather specific materials to craft the stalls yourself.

How to Upgrade the Saturday Market

To improve the Saturday Market, you’ll need materials mined from various locations and some refined components that are obtainable as you advance through the main story.

Important: If you’ve unlocked this quest, you now have access to the Stone Refinery.

    Here are the materials needed:

    Material Quantity Where to Find
Crystal 20 Break crystals in the Deep Earth section of the mines with your sword.
Gold Ingot 8 Mine gold ore in the Lava Caves, then smelt it at the forge.
Hard Wood 100 Chop large stumps with an axe.
Obsidian 20 Use your sword to break black crystals in the Lava Caves.
Refined Stone 50 Use the Stone Refinery in the mines to craft these.

Take all these materials and place them in the drop box outside Adeline’s house. Afterward, talk with her again, and she will prepare the stalls for the Saturday Market, even if you do this on a Friday night.

    Where to Find Taliferro’s Stall

The first new stall belongs to Taliferro, a famous chef with a cooking challenge. You can check his requests on the cooking challenge board to see what recipes he wants you to prepare.

His stall is located on the western side of Adeline’s lawn, next to the pond. You can’t buy anything directly from Taliferro, but completing his cooking challenges will unlock new rewards and help boost your reputation.

    Where to Find Wheedle’s Stall

Wheedle, a merchant familiar if you’ve been close with Balor, has his stall on the eastern side of the manor lawn, next to the garden. You can buy various items from him, including poisons that add elemental effects to your sword, fun cosmetics like mini wings, and a special Item called Date Inspiration.

Note: Wheedle’s prices are high, but the storage chests he sells with increased capacity are worth the cost. These come in chest and ice box styles, allowing for better decoration while providing more storage space.

  • How To Take NPCs On Dates in Fields of Mistria: Completing & Solving

How To Take NPCs On Dates in Fields of Mistria: Completing & Solving

How to Start Dating an NPC

To begin dating a character in the game, make sure they are single. You can check this in the relationship section of your journal. Once confirmed, your next step is to build your relationship hearts with them.

You need to earn a total of eight hearts and see all of their heart events. After that, you will receive a letter in the mail telling you where to meet them, which will trigger the eight-heart event.

Go to the specified location to watch the cutscene. During this event, you will have the chance to confess your feelings. Choose the pink dialogue option with a heart to start a romantic relationship and establish your dating status!

Can You Date More Than One NPC?

Yes! You can date as many single characters as you want without any problems. There are no restrictions based on gender, so feel free to date anyone you like.

However, keep in mind that although you can date multiple people at once, you can only marry one partner when the time comes. Choose carefully! For a complete list of potential romantic partners, check out our guide.

Currently, marriage isn’t available in the game, but it is planned to be added in future updates.

How to Go On Dates With Your Partner

Once you’ve started dating your first NPC, Elsie will visit your house the next day to explain about dating. You can go on special dates with your partner once a week.

Dates are only available on Saturdays and Sundays because most characters are busy during the week. Also, even if you have multiple partners, you can only go on one date per partner each week.

For example, you might take Celine out for a picnic on Saturday and visit March for gem-cutting on Sunday. Each first-time date type will reward you with a special photo card to display at home—try to collect all of them! In later updates, dating will also grant more hearts than merely giving gifts.

    How to Unlock More Dates

Elsie will give you two types of dates when you first start to talk about dating. However, many more can be unlocked through your regular activities and collecting specific items called Date Inspiration items.

Here are some of the different date types you can unlock:

  • Completing the Animal Festival Dates in Fields of Mistria

Completing the Animal Festival Dates in Fields of Mistria

When you’re exploring Fields of Mistria, it’s easy to get caught up in your many activities, from farming to crafting to foraging. You might even overlook certain events or forget how they function. That’s why it’s crucial to keep track of the key festival dates.

While winter is a time to unwind, Mistria still has one last celebration before the year wraps up: the Animal Festival. If you’ve been taking care of animals on your farm, you can enter the competition — but be prepared to face Hayden, who is quite the competitor.

When Does the Animal Festival Take Place?

The Animal Festival kicks off on the 10th of winter. It begins right at dawn, so you can head to the town of Mistria to check out all the festivities. A few days prior, on the 7th of winter, Adeline will stop by your farm to explain the details of the festival.

Tip: If you’re close to earning an extra heart with one of your animals, don’t forget to feed and pet them before heading to the festival and entering the competition!

How to Enter the Animal Festival Competition

A highlight of the festival is the Animal Competition, where you’ll compete against the townsfolk to see who has the best animals. Hayden is usually at the top of the leaderboard, so your mission is to take him down. To enter, simply sign up your animals at the booths located in the town center. There are two booths: one for large animals and another for small ones.

Large animals include cows, horses, sheep, and alpacas, while small animals consist of chickens, ducks, rabbits, and capybaras. When you chat with the booth staff, you’ll be able to select which animal you want to enter into the contest.

How to Win the Animal Festival Competition

When you speak with Josephine during the festival, she will inform you that to win, your animal must have a high color tier and as many hearts as possible. An animal can have a maximum of ten hearts and a color tier of six, so aim to keep your animal both well-loved and high-tiered.

Tip: It’s possible to win with a tier one or tier two animal as long as it has the maximum ten hearts.

If you triumph in the Large Animal Competition, you’ll earn a colored ribbon for your animal and a trophy; the color of the ribbon and trophy reflects your placement. The same applies to the Small Animal Competition, but instead of a trophy, you’ll receive a Wall Ribbon of the same color as your animal’s ribbon.

What Can You Buy at the Animal Festival?

Beyond the competition and fun photo ops with your friends in Mistria, there’s a shop where you can purchase a variety of items. Some of these items are locked behind progression, so you’ll need to unlock the specific animals first.

Here’s a list of items available in the Animal Festival store:

    • Recipe: Golden Cookies
    • Recipe: Golden Cheesecake
    • Chicky Hot Chocolate
    • Cow-shaped Donut
    • Chicken Apple Hat
    • Cow Bell Collar
    • Horse Monocle
    • Duck Backwards Cap
    • Sheep Hot Water Bottle
    • Rabbit Cowboy Hat
    • Alpaca Beret
    • Capybara Angel Wings

Enjoy the festivities and the chance to showcase your animals!

  • Completing Time Speed Adjustments in Fields of Mistria

Completing Time Speed Adjustments in Fields of Mistria

Fields of Mistria is packed with activities to fill your day. You can farm, manage a ranch, mine for resources, fish, or even woo that quirky archaeologist. With so many options, you might find yourself wishing for a bit more time in each day. Fortunately, you have the chance to extend your days!

In a recent update, an accessibility settings menu was introduced, allowing you to change how long a day lasts in the game. However, the explanation isn’t as straightforward as you might hope. We’ve simplified the details and offered some alternatives if you’re still looking for more.

How to Change the Day Speed in the Settings

To adjust the day length, open the in-game pause menu, navigate to the Settings tab, and select the Accessibility section. At the top, you will see an option labeled Day Time Speed. Click on that, and you’ll be given three choices: Normal, Longer, and Longest.

Important: This setting can only be adjusted once you have loaded into your save game; it is not available in the main menu.

Each speed option changes the overall duration of a day as follows. Please note that changes will only take effect after you sleep and start a new day.

    Setting Duration
    Normal 12.5 Minute Days
    Longer 14 Minute Days
    Longest 15 Minute Days

    Time durations are approximate.

The game warns that non-playable character (NPC) schedules are based on normal time. However, during our experience with the extended options, we observed little to no difference in our interactions with NPCs.

Mods That Change the Day Speed

If the time settings in the base game aren’t quite enough for you, there are community mods available, such as the Time of Mistria mod by ArchieOwO. These mods let you tweak the time settings even further, potentially slowing down time to the point that it doesn’t advance at all!

Keep in mind that installing mods can be a little complicated, and there’s no assurance they will continue to work following updates to the game. Proceed with caution if you decide to explore this option.

  • Unlocking Caldarus in the Fields of Mistria: A Guide

Unlocking Caldarus in the Fields of Mistria: A Guide

In the game Fields of Mistria, there’s a lot to keep you busy on your farm, making it a great idea to connect with your neighbors. Establishing bonds in the town can truly change your gaming experience, whether it’s through friendships or romantic relationships.

One character you’ll encounter as you progress through the game is Caldarus. You’ll actually be in touch with him right from the start, but he remains a statue until certain milestones are met. Here’s a guide on how to unlock Caldarus and pursue a romantic connection with him as a farmer.

Note: Fields of Mistria is still in Early Access, so some details may change in the future. We’ll keep our guides updated as necessary!

    How to Unlock Caldarus

Caldarus isn’t immediately available as a romance option. While you can speak with him and complete tasks he assigns from the beginning, he essentially remains a statue until you reach certain game progress. To unlock his character, you must venture deep into the mines and reach floor 60, where you’ll find the Fire Seal that needs to be broken.

Warning: Spoilers for the main storyline ahead if you want to avoid learning too much about Mistria’s secrets.

    Breaking the Fire Seal

Once you reach the 60th floor of the mines, be sure to take the rubbing of the fire seal and bring it to Juniper for translation. She’ll provide you with a list of items needed to move forward.

To successfully break the fire seal, you’ll need the following items:

    • Emerald
    • Faceted Rock Gem
    • Rockroot
    • Sealing Scroll

Tip: Bring all these materials to the altar. A cutscene will follow where Caldarus transforms into a humanoid and then retreats to the Deep Woods.

    Entering the Deep Woods

The Deep Woods are obstructed by thick, tangled thorns located near the carpenter’s shop on the eastern side of town. You’ll need to utilize the Dragon’s Breath spell to clear the brambles blocking the path.

Once you get inside the woods, head to the right. You’ll have to either jump over a stump or chop it down, then proceed north to find the temple. Inside, you’ll find Caldarus resting.

Tip: After the cutscene concludes, Caldarus becomes an active member of Mistria, though he predominantly stays at the temple.

    Best Gifts for Caldarus

In every relationship, knowing someone’s favorite things can strengthen your bond. After becoming active, Caldarus enjoys spending time in his humanoid form and appreciates the delicious foods available in town.

You can find Caldarus at his temple in the Deep Woods. To see him often, you might want to use the teleportation statue for quick access. Below are Caldarus’s favorite gifts that’ll help you win him over:

    Caldarus’s Loved Gifts:

    • Apple Honey Curry
    • Harvest Plate
    • Mont Blanc
    • Seafood Boil
    • Seafood Snow Pea Noodles
    • Spring Galette
    • Statuette of Caldarus
    • Sushi Platter
    • Veggie Sub

While Caldarus will accept gifts soon after you unlock him, know that you won’t earn more friendship points until the next update since he already holds a golden heart for you.

    Caldarus’s Heart Events

As of now, there aren’t any heart events lined up for Caldarus, though his heart icon is yellow when he’s in his humanoid form. This may indicate a close bond, considering you’ve been collaborating from the beginning to explore the mines and practice magic together.

Caldarus seems genuinely concerned about the Sealing Scroll situation, indicating that he has a strong connection with you since he awakened to come to your aid.

Only characters open to love display a heart icon next to their name, so it’s likely we could see more developments with Caldarus in future updates!

Engaging with Caldarus not only opens the door to potential romance but also adds a rich layer to your adventure in Fields of Mistria. Don’t forget to explore and enjoy your journey!

For every two hearts you earn, you’ll unlock a new heart event that brings you closer to each other, transitioning your relationship from friendship to romance. Below, you’ll find a detailed guide on Juniper’s heart events and how to navigate through them.

Currently, only two heart events are available!

    Juniper’s Two Heart Event

Once you reach two hearts with Juniper, check the request board where you’ll see a notice from her marked with a heart symbol. Accept her request to become her test subject and meet her at the bathhouse. Inside, you’ll find her engaged in a potion discussion with Olric.

When things take an unexpected turn during your encounter with Juniper, you’ll have a few dialogue choices:

    Dialogue

    Answer Choices

“So tell me… what brings you here, adventurer?”

    “A…bath? At the bathhouse?”

“The health tonic? From the message board?”

“The villagers being so pliable… that’s been a nice bonus. They drink any concoction I give them.”

“You’re using the townsfolk to test your potions? You should leave them alone.”

“Can’t we all just get along?”

“Yes, this could be the beginning of a beautiful… relationship.”

    “Sounds fun.”

    “Do I have a choice?”

Your response may not influence the outcome, but it will shape the tone of your interaction with Juniper—whether you want to approach it with humor or tenderness. Regardless, it seems you’ll become Juniper’s trusted test subject for her magical experiments.

    Juniper’s Four Heart Event

Upon reaching four hearts, Juniper will send you a letter inviting you to meet her at the bathhouse to start the quest called Horsing Around.

When you arrive, she’ll be thrilled to see you and will ask you to test her latest potion. You’ll have the chance to respond to her in several ways:

    Dialogue

    Answer Choices

“Maybe you’ll even turn into one for me.”

    “D-dragons? I don’t think they exist.”

“A dragon versus a mere sorceress sounds pretty one-sided.”

“Ah yes, CLEARLY the issue lies with you. Willy-nilly infusions of power have unstabilized your morphogenic field.”

“Well at least I can still talk…”

“Very funny, now stop horsing around, Juniper.”

    “I’ll prepare the counterspell.”

    Try to cheer Juniper up.

Try to make Juniper mess up again.

Even if Juniper’s plans go awry, you still have the chance to help her refine her experimental process. You can either support her or tease her playfully, but rest assured, she’ll return you to normal after casting the counterspell.

One thing’s for sure: you’ll have a memorable day with Mistria’s most enchanting resident.

    Juniper’s Six Heart Event

Achieving six hearts with Juniper requires time and effort (including numerous gifts), but once you establish a solid bond, expect a letter from her. In it, she asks to meet in her room at the bathhouse—dressing to impress is recommended.

Once you arrive, Juniper needs your help running errands. However, she finds your outfit unsuitable, leading her to swap bodies with you for a day! Below are some dialogue options you’ll have:

    Dialogue

    Answer Choices

“It’s been really fun collaborating with you on this.”

“It’s been so nice having a project with you!”

    “Let’s not get too mushy.”

“Dozy getting along alright? And how’s that new friend of yours?”

    “They are a real saint.”

    “They are a clown.”

    “Well, how did it go?”

    No issues.

Everyone had such nice things to say about you!

You can be yourself, but keep in mind that others may find your actions peculiar. Alternatively, you can play along with Juniper’s personality and respond with her signature sass. Just make sure to complete her deliveries on time!

"I should really get around to setting up a new birdhouse for them… though it feels a bit silly when I’ve got so much work to do around Mistria as it is!" "It’s not silly, I think it’s cool!"
"It’s a good idea! Those birds could use your help too."

While your choices don’t significantly impact the outcome, it’s good to support and encourage Ryis, especially since he loves birds.

    Ryis’ Four-Heart Event

After reaching four hearts, Ryis will send you a letter asking for help in choosing a sapling. Meet him in his room at his uncle’s house to start the event.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice his room is packed with unfinished projects, hardly leaving space for you. Here are the dialogue options for this event:

    Dialogue Answer Choices
"Welcome to my room. Sorry it’s a bit cramped, I tend to bring my work upstairs with me." "It’s cozy! Very you."
"If you think this is bad, you should see my farm."
"So what if we grew a hawthorn to put their new birdhouse in?" "That’ll bring them back for sure!"
"Thorns to protect your house, huh. Maybe I should get some…"
"Anything I can do to help hurry it along?" "Check on it every day!"
"Give the tree compliments every day!"

After this event, the tree stump in the ruins to the east will be replaced with a new sapling! While your encouragement doesn’t affect the outcome, you can choose to be supportive or humorous to enhance your relationship.

    Ryis’ Six-Heart Event

Once you reach six hearts with Ryis, you’ll find a letter inviting you to visit his home. The tree has matured enough to hold a birdhouse, and he needs your assistance to build it.

Here are your dialogue choices for this event:

    Dialogue Answer Choices
"I like working on the big town projects with you, but there’s something nice about collaborating on something small, right?" "It’ll be fun to get the details just so!"
    "Yeah, it’s more intimate."
"We might have gotten a little carried away." "It was really fun to build!"
    "It’s better than a birdhouse. It’s a bird… home."
"Those bluebirds are going to be SO surprised." "So what’s next?"
"So now we need to make a bluebird whistle, huh?"

It’s a great opportunity to get closer to Ryis here and even flirt a little. Mentioning that the birdhouse feels more personal than larger projects is a good way to fluster him, but the end result will remain unchanged.
