Take-Two CEO Confirms GTA 6 Release Date, Reveals 18-Month Delay

Digital Phablet — The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, recently confirmed in an interview that Rockstar’s highly anticipated GTA 6 is still scheduled for release this year in November, following several delays to ensure a smooth, bug-free launch.

Similar to previous releases, PC users will not be able to access the game on launch day, November 19. As reported by Vice, citing Zelnick, the postponement is a deliberate move by Rockstar to focus on their primary audience—console gamers.

Take-Two CEO Announces GTA 6 Launch Date and Acknowledges 18-Month Delay

In a conversation with David Serna, Zelnick reaffirmed that the game’s official launch date is set for November 19, 2026, stating, “It’s November 19, 2026. I know that for sure. It’s been officially announced.” When Serna inquired about the previous delays, Zelnick replied, “It’s been pushed back about twice. We’re roughly 18 months behind our original internal schedule. Not much more than that.” He also added that Grand Theft Auto stands as the most valuable entertainment intellectual property ever created.

Numerous enthusiastic fans have been eagerly awaiting the third trailer for GTA 6, which has sparked discussions regarding the game’s map, gameplay features, and storyline. Rumors also suggest that pre-orders might open as soon as May 15, but insider Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming mentioned that Rockstar might delay further announcements until July 6.

Aşk ve Gözyaşı Delay: Next Episode, Final Status, and Changes

Digital Phablet – Fans of Aşk ve Gözyaşı are questioning the delay, buzz about the series finale, and upcoming twists.

Aşk ve Gözyaşı altered its broadcast schedule

This week’s programming did not include ATV’s new season of Aşk ve Gözyaşı. Viewers wondered, “Has the series concluded?” as a special program replaced the usual episodes starring Hande Erçel and Barış Arduç. According to reports, the show experienced a brief hiatus due to script revisions and scheduling conflicts.

Changes in Writing Team and Set Production Issues

The debut of Aşk ve Gözyaşı, inspired by the South Korean drama “Queen of Tears,” failed to attract the anticipated viewership. Reports indicate that Dilara Pamuk, who penned the initial scripts, left after just three episodes. Subsequently, the production company’s writing team temporarily took over the storyline. This shift in writing methods disrupted the planned filming timetable, resulting in a delay for the show’s airing.

A new episode release date announced

Following these developments, ATV officials announced that a new episode would be postponed. The series will return with a new episode scheduled for Friday, October 31st. The production team plans to revamp the storyline and make adjustments to the script.

Denial of Final Series End Rumors

Social media rumors suggesting that "Aşk ve Gözyaşı is ending" have been refuted by the show's producers. They confirmed that filming continues as scheduled, with a hiatus only lasting a week. The production also highlighted the show's international interest and the significant role of overseas sales in its ongoing success.

Latest rumors about the new screenwriter

Sources suggest that negotiations are underway to bring in a new writer for the series. The intention behind this move is to stabilize the storyline and address the recent ratings dip. During the hiatus, the production will also implement changes to the set and plot development.

When does the next episode of "Aşk ve Gözyaşı" air?

ATV is set to broadcast the upcoming episode of "Aşk ve Gözyaşı" on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Viewers can anticipate significant plot developments in this new installment.

Krafton Explains Subnautica 2’s Delay and Leadership Challenges

Recently, there has been a lot of drama surrounding the game Subnautica 2. Developer Unknown Worlds and publisher Krafton parted ways with co-founders Ted Gill, Charlie Cleveland, and Max McGuire. Initially, the reasons were unclear, leading to much speculation online.

Before the game’s official delay to 2026, Bloomberg reported that Krafton postponed the release just months before a $250 million bonus was due to Unknown Worlds based on a 2021 acquisition deal. Although it wasn’t suggested that this was the only reason for the delay, co-founder Charlie Cleveland’s comments that the game was “ready” for Early Access added to the confusion.

Subnautica 2’s Delay And Leadership Struggles Explained By Krafton

Krafton later stated that the reason for the delay was not the bonus payout. They explained in a statement that Gill, Cleveland, and McGuire were let go for “abandoning the responsibilities entrusted to them.”

The plan for Subnautica 2 was to release in Early 2024, but that timeline has now changed. Krafton said that both McGuire and Cleveland could have stayed but chose not to. Cleveland even started working on a personal film project after the game Moonbreaker didn’t do well, despite being asked to focus on Subnautica 2.

Krafton mentioned that the lack of strong leadership has led to confusion and delays in the project. They expressed disappointment over the former leadership’s actions and felt betrayed for not honoring the trust from fans.

Furthermore, Krafton believes that the current version of Subnautica 2 lacks sufficient content, which is likely a key factor in the delay. They reassured everyone that the development team remains the same and affirmed their commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the developers.

  • Completing Subnautica 2’s Delay: Community Plans Review Bombs

Completing Subnautica 2’s Delay: Community Plans Review Bombs

Fans of Subnautica have faced a tough time recently. Earlier this month, the original creators of the game were let go by Unknown Worlds, and Krafton promised that the game wouldn’t change. This announcement left many players anxious.

After the layoffs, one of the studio’s founders revealed that Subnautica 2 was set to launch in early access. However, rumors suggested a delay to avoid paying staff $250 million in bonuses, pushing the game’s release to 2026.

Initial calls for a boycott didn’t gain traction, as players wanted to see what would happen next. But with the news of the delay for Subnautica 2, many in the community have united, planning to review bomb the game and remove it from their wishlists.

Subnautica 2 Fans Are Really Planning To Take Action This Time

A new thread on the game’s subreddit has already received over 13,000 upvotes in a short time. This thread urges players to avoid supporting what they call “shady business practices” and not to purchase the sequel.

Users were quick to back the message. One commenter said, “I never thought I’d say this about Subnautica, but I won’t buy the sequel. The only way to protest the decisions made is to play something else.”

With the release date slated for 2026, players can’t boycott through non-purchases, so they found other ways to express their dissatisfaction with Krafton. One user advised, “Take it off your Steam wishlist, where it is currently the #2 most-wishlisted game. That should send a message.” Another added, “You can also declare that you won’t buy the game and support posts like this. The more people know, the more we can protest.”

Some players plan to take a different approach, saying they would review-bomb the game upon its release. They believe this could significantly impact buying decisions. Community members also shared the email addresses of Krafton’s senior team, hinting at plans to contact them directly.

While the boycott efforts are currently scattered, the news of the delay has certainly sparked action among fans.

  • Subnautica 2’s Early Access Delay: Completing Solving Concerns

Subnautica 2’s Early Access Delay: Completing Solving Concerns

Krafton recently made a surprising decision by removing the three co-founders of Unknown Worlds Entertainment—Ted Gill, Charlie Cleveland, and Max McGuire. Steve Papoustis, who previously worked at Striking Distance Studios, has been appointed as the new studio head.

Many fans are worried about the future of Subnautica 2, which is expected to enter early access later this year. Although Krafton’s announcement suggested that Papoustis was brought in to speed up the game’s development, Cleveland stated in a post about his departure that Subnautica 2 is “ready for early access.”

Nonetheless, Krafton’s statement to Kotaku hints otherwise.

Subnautica 2’s Release Schedule May Need “Adjustments”

“Following the recent leadership transition, we are in the process of refining our development plans and preparing for an Early Access launch under a more clearly defined vision,” the statement said. “Some adjustments to the schedule may be required.”

This doesn’t confirm a delay for Subnautica 2’s early access, but it’s not a positive sign either. Krafton likely wouldn’t have mentioned potential schedule changes unless they anticipate a delay.

The situation is confusing, as neither Krafton nor the former leaders have explained why this leadership change happened. Cleveland claims the game is ready, while Krafton seems to be preparing for a delay, suggesting that Subnautica 2 might not be as far along as planned.

Removing three key people who contributed to the original success of the series seems like a drastic step. The reasons behind their dismissals may not be clear any time soon due to possible contractual agreements.

For now, Subnautica 2 is still set to release in early access later this year. The game is being built using Unreal Engine 5 and will feature a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

  • Nvidia May Again Delay The Most Wanted GPU For Gamers

Nvidia May Again Delay The Most Wanted GPU For Gamers

What happens when a GPU hasn’t been officially announced? You might start to wonder if it’s been postponed. This could be the case for Nvidia’s anticipated budget-friendly graphics cards. According to insider reports, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti appear to be facing further delays, leaving gamers to wait an extended period before they can snag one of the latest RTX 50-series GPUs.

This unfortunate news comes from Board Channels, a platform frequented by individuals claiming to be connected with Nvidia’s add-in board (AIB) partners. The report suggests that the RTX 5060 Ti, in both its 8GB and 16GB versions, is now expected to launch around mid-April, with the RTX 5060 following in mid-May. Nvidia has reportedly informed its AIBs about these new timelines.

Although we’re still waiting for Nvidia to officially announce the RTX 5060 series, much of this remains speculation. Historically, xxx60 cards have consistently performed well in the Steam Hardware Survey, indicating that the new releases could also be successful—but prolonged delays may force potential buyers to consider alternatives.

Earlier leaks suggested a launch for the RTX 5060 in March, but that seems unlikely now. Waiting an additional month and a half for the RTX 5060 will surely be disappointing to many eager gamers. Furthermore, it provides AMD with an opportunity to counter with the RX 9060, which still lacks a release date and detailed specifications.

Regarding specifications, there has been some debate among leakers about the RTX 5060. Some speculate it could feature 12GB of VRAM, which would be impressive but seems unlikely. The RTX 5060 Ti is expected to arrive in two versions: 16GB and 8GB, mirroring its predecessors. Overall, the specs indicate a modest improvement over the previous generation, setting the stage for a slight upgrade.

  • Apple Confirms Longer Wait For Key Siri Features

Apple Confirms Longer Wait For Key Siri Features

Late last week, Apple discreetly announced that the release of an important Apple Intelligence feature would be postponed. The company has since made this information more accessible by including a note on its official website.

Apple Intelligence, which was revealed in June, was anticipated to feature an upgraded version of Siri, the company’s voice assistant. These eagerly awaited improvements aimed to enhance Siri’s comprehension of user context and its capability to communicate more effectively with applications.

In a statement, Apple explained, “It’s going to take us longer than we thought to deliver these features, and we anticipate rolling them out in the coming year.”

This delay had previously gone unmentioned on Apple’s online store until recently, when this oversight was corrected. The Apple Intelligence webpage now states that “Siri’s personal context understanding, onscreen awareness, and in-app actions are in development and will be available with a future software update.”

Apple admits it's delaying parts of Apple Intelligence.
    Apple

Apple Intelligence has encountered several obstacles since its announcement at last year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Many expected its launch to coincide with the release of the iPhone 16 series in the fall. Instead, Apple decided to take a phased approach for the rollout. Some features of Apple Intelligence were included in the updates for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, while additional capabilities were introduced in later updates. Notably, Apple Intelligence remains unavailable in specific regions, such as the European Union.

This most recent setback in Apple Intelligence’s development occurs at a time when competitors, such as Google, are rapidly incorporating AI functionalities into their offerings, exemplified by their Gemini project.

  • Apple Confirms Long Delay For AI-Enhanced Siri Assistant

Apple Confirms Long Delay For AI-Enhanced Siri Assistant

While Apple continues to enhance its ecosystem with cutting-edge AI functionalities, it faces significant challenges, especially when compared to Google’s Gemini. A notable underperformer in this area has been the Siri virtual assistant, which has yet to incorporate the new features Apple announced at last year’s developer conference.

Recently, the company confirmed that a revamped Siri, capable of accessing user data stored on devices and interacting with applications, has been postponed until next year. This next-generation version, referred to internally as “LLM Siri,” might not make its debut until 2024, with the possibility of further delays extending into 2027.

“We’ve also been working on a more personalized Siri that possesses greater awareness of your personal context and can perform actions across your apps. Delivering these features is taking longer than we anticipated, but we expect to roll them out over the next year,” an Apple spokesperson told Daring Fireball.

Initially, Apple had hoped to launch the updated Siri with the iOS 18.4 rollout in April. However, concerns about the implementation of the new features were raised by senior executives, including software engineering chief Craig Federighi, during internal evaluations, as reported by Bloomberg.

Some employees speculate that the entire upgrade plan may be scrapped, requiring Apple to start anew. As a temporary workaround, the company has aligned with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT functionalities on iPhones and Macs, which will work alongside Siri as part of Apple’s AI framework.

While ChatGPT offers advanced language processing and multimodal features, such as image creation and file analysis, Siri still lacks essential capabilities that could significantly improve user experience. For instance, it currently cannot analyze user data to provide contextualized responses, nor can it engage deeply with third-party applications.

In contrast, Google’s Gemini is now integrated into high-end Android devices and fully utilizes the data available across its Workspace tools, including Gmail, Docs, Maps, and YouTube. Additionally, it can translate voice commands into actionable tasks across various applications, even those developed by third parties like Spotify.

Apple seems to be lagging behind in this dynamic landscape, and recent delays raise questions about the company’s innovation trajectory. Nevertheless, it is making strides in other areas, recently partnering with Alibaba and Baidu to accelerate the development of its AI systems for the Chinese market.

  • AMD’s Delay Of RDNA 4: Here’s What We Know So Far

AMD’s Delay Of RDNA 4: Here’s What We Know So Far

AMD has been somewhat reticent about sharing details regarding its RX 9000 series graphics cards. However, there’s new information shedding light on the anticipated launch delay until March. The company’s rationale points to software optimization and the implementation of FSR 4 as key factors influencing the postponement of the RDNA 4 rollout. But could there be more at play? Might AMD also be biding its time to observe Nvidia’s leading graphics cards before finalizing the launch of the RX 9070 XT?

This update is conveyed by David McAfee, AMD’s vice president and general manager of the Ryzen CPU and Radeon graphics division. Recently, McAfee took to X (formerly Twitter) to express AMD’s enthusiasm about the RX 9000 series launch slated for March. This announcement sparked considerable discussion among gaming enthusiasts, raising questions about the prolonged wait.

I really appreciate the excitement for RDNA 4. We are focused on ensuring we deliver a great set of products with Radeon 9000 series. We are taking a little extra time to optimize the software stack for maximum performance and enable more FSR 4 titles. We also have a wide range…

    — David McAfee (@McAfeeDavid_AMD) January 22, 2025

McAfee elaborates that AMD is “taking a little extra time to optimize the software stack for maximum performance and enable more FSR 4 titles.” Although this explanation may seem a bit vague, it aligns with speculation from various insiders indicating that the RDNA 4 hardware is ready, but there’s an emphasis on enhancing it through software adjustments. While this approach is certainly valid, it hints at the possibility of underlying factors influencing the timeline.

Interestingly, preorders for these GPUs became available on January 22, and multiple retailers reportedly have them in stock. Acknowledging this, McAfee noted: “We also have a wide range of partners launching Radeon 9000 series cards. While some have commenced building initial inventories at retailers, expect many more partner cards available at launch.”

    Reddit / VideoCardz

Further signs indicate that AMD might have initially planned a different release timeline for the RDNA 4 series. A Reddit advertisement from the official AMD account hinted that the GPUs are already available, stating, “When the stakes are high, every play counts — play now with the ultimate performance of AMD Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards.” This ad also showcased the RX 9070 XT in its Made By AMD (MBA) design.

If late January was the originally intended launch period for the RX 9000 series, it appears that AMD opted to delay. While enhanced driver support and increased availability for FSR 4 titles are solid reasons for this decision, it’s plausible that AMD is also waiting to see how Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti performs once it is released, likely in February.

On the bright side, McAfee suggests that there will be ample RDNA 4 cards available upon launch, which is encouraging news, especially considering the potential scarcity of Nvidia’s RTX 50 series cards at debut.

The creators of inZOI announced an early access launch date set for March 28, 2025, on Thursday, despite earlier claims that the innovative life simulation game would debut this year.

In a public message on the inZOI Discord channel, producer and director Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim explained that the extra time is necessary to provide “the best possible start” for the game.

Until now, the game had not been given a specific release timetable, but last month, a Krafton representative informed PC Gamer that the intention was to launch it in 2024. In August, the studio introduced inZOI: Character Studio on Steam, a limited-time demo of its character creation system. Available for just five days, the demo captivated players eager to recreate both fictional and real-life figures with extensive detail.

    inZOI: Character Studio Official Announcement

Following the feedback from that demo and various playtest sessions, Kim stated that the team needed additional time to enhance the game and deliver “the most complete experience possible.”

“It is often noted that, among primates, the process of raising a human child to adulthood is the longest because humans must learn to adapt to their constantly evolving environment,” Kim wrote. “The additional care needed to nurture a child is a metaphor for our journey with inZOI—a creation that we will cultivate together starting from its Early Access stage. This new release date underscores our commitment to lay a solid foundation for inZOI, so we can embark on this journey together effectively.”

inZOI stands to be a notable contender in the life simulation genre, particularly given that it remains in development after Paradox Interactive canceled its own title, Life by You, prior to entering early access. At present, it ranks as the 12th most wishlisted game on Steam.

    Grinding Gear Games

Path of Exile 2 was initially scheduled for early access on November 15, but has encountered another delay—this time a shorter one.

Grinding Gear Games, the developer, announced on Tuesday through a video featuring game director Jonathan Rogers that the release has been postponed by three weeks until December 6. Rogers clarified that the delay does not stem from issues with the game itself. Instead, the team requires additional time to enhance the “server-side infrastructure” related to the transition of microtransactions.

The free-to-play franchise, available on both console and PC, generates revenue primarily through cosmetic microtransactions. Players have accumulated years’ worth of weapon skins, pets, and other decorative elements. Grinding Gear had previously confirmed that players could transfer their microtransactions from both PC and console versions, and that Path of Exile 2 would maintain the same system as its predecessor. However, the implementation has proven more challenging than anticipated for the development team.

“Not only do we have to build several new systems, but we also have to ensure that all the legacy data is compatible with them,” Rogers explained in the video. “We must get it all right so that no one loses anything they’ve paid for, and no one’s account is disrupted.”

Rogers noted that the team could’ve potentially launched on the originally intended date but preferred not to take any risks. He accepted full responsibility for the delay and also mentioned that a live stream will occur at launch to discuss all the exciting content in Path of Exile 2.

The sequel has been in the works for a considerable time, with its announcement dating back to 2019. The launch was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and while a beta was initially set for summer 2024, it has also been delayed to allow for more gameplay refinement.

The team showcased their progress during the Summer Game Fest 2024, with a compelling 30-minute demo that captivated audiences. “It appears to be a robust free-to-play RPG for those who missed out on the Diablo 4 hype or are seeking a new action-packed, dark fantasy adventure,” commented Digital Trends.
