How to Win Races in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Completing & Solving

As the story unfolds in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, you’ll have the chance to take part in races against your allies among the Reclaimers. The tracks and vehicles vary, so some races may be easier than others. They’re a fun way to take a break from combat and earn extra credits.

Like everything else in Titanic Scion, your race performance depends a lot on how you set up your Arsenal. Speed is important, but it’s not the only thing that matters. If you’re struggling to win, try these tips.

    Best Build for Flying Races
To succeed in flying races, focus on increasing your Aerial Speed, mainly determined by your cuirass. Equip a helmet with high Stamina Efficiency and add passive skills that boost your maximum Stamina if available.

Before starting a race, eating a scoop of strawberry ice cream can give you a percentage-based boost to your Aerial Speed. The higher your armor’s base stats, the more benefit you’ll get from this buff.

Finally, add either a Booster (like Atalanta) or a Cooling System to your auxiliary mount. These help you maintain maximum speed longer. Also, if you have attachments that improve Aerial Speed or Stamina Recovery, equip those.

    Flying Race Strategy
You want to keep boosting your Arsenal for as long as possible. Let your boost run out, recharge, then boost again—your Stamina Efficiency and Recovery make this easier. Opponents can often boost continuously, ignoring stamina limits, which might let them pull ahead. Don’t worry about that. Focus on flying through every ring on the course. Missing rings adds a five-second penalty per missed ring, which can cost your opponent dearly. Get through the rings consistently, stay reasonably fast, and you can win even if you cross the finish line second.

    Best Build for Motorcycle Races
Motorcycle races follow a more traditional style. It’s crucial to hit all the rings to avoid penalties, but staying ahead of your opponent is key. You need to stay on the course and avoid crashing.

You can’t modify your bike directly, but your Arsenal setup can influence performance. For these races, gear your Arsenal to be as heavy as possible. Choose midweight or heavyweight armor, ideally a WS-variant cuirass that provides access to the Wing Particle Booster. Heavy gear helps your bike grip the terrain better—light armor often causes you to go flying over bumps. A heavier Arsenal also means if you get thrown off the bike, you’ll have less distance to travel to get back on.

Using the Wing Booster consumes a lot of Femto, but since you’re usually only using it during races, that’s fine. Be cautious where you deploy it; it’s easy to lose control. It’s best to use it near the end of the race to catch up or extend your lead.

    Race Start Tip
Don’t hit the gas until you see the signal to start. Pressing it too early means you’ll have to release and press again, losing precious time.

  • How to Beat Insania Rex in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion through Completing and Solving

How to Beat Insania Rex in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion through Completing and Solving

Insania Rex is a formidable Immortal that players encounter roughly halfway through Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. In any good RPG, a dragon fight is a must, and despite battling in futuristic mechs, this game includes one. During the fight, you’ll need to dodge powerful melee attacks and avoid a deadly breath weapon.

While Insania Rex can be relatively straightforward to defeat, its breath attack can suddenly change everything. If you’re unprepared, this single move can wipe out your progress. Here’s everything you need to know to beat this boss.

Best Build for Fighting Insania Rex

    Armor:
Since Insania Rex hits hard, midweight or heavyweight armor works best. Maintaining a high VP helps you endure its breath attack, along with good Basic Defense. Adding Burn Resistance through attachments or ice cream can also be beneficial. The only exception is your helmet slot; here, prioritize Stamina Efficiency so you can dodge and chase more effectively, especially when trying to hold against its breath near the end.

    Weapons:
The beast is weak to both Physical and Laser damage, depending on where you strike. Its underside is vulnerable to Physical damage, while its back armor is weak against Laser attacks. You’ll want a mix of weapon types for this fight.

Your main weapon should be the best Laser melee attack you can find, like Vermillion Knight, because Insania Rex has difficulty targeting behind its shoulders. For Physical damage, use knives and handguns with the Weak Point Exploit trait, which deal massive damage to its weak spot on the chest—sometimes more than higher-damage gear. Equipping the Caustic Blade skill can help by lowering its defense with corrosion.

Your third slot should hold an Energy Shield to block the breath weapon. Although you can survive with many Repair Sprays, a shield makes the fight much easier. For ranged attacks, choose a versatile weapon that focuses on Basic Damage, such as a Laser Rifle, which is one-handed and effective at all ranges.

    Shoulder Mount and Auxiliary:
Homing missile systems like Meteorite are effective against Insania Rex since multiple parts of its large body are viable targets. The Devotion repair system is also useful for recovering from the breath attack. In the auxiliary slot, a Cooling System helps restore Stamina, which you need to keep your shield active against the dragon’s breath. If you don’t have a Cooling System, a Booster can help close the distance quickly if the boss tries to retreat from melee.

    Strategy for Fighting Insania Rex

Begin by eliminating the smaller Immortals floating around the arena—they can be distracting and make the fight harder. Once cleared, stay above Insania Rex’s shoulders and repeatedly attack it with Laser melee combos. Dodging may be necessary after it repositions, but staying behind its back keeps you safe.

When you stagger the boss, switch to your knife or handgun and perform a grab at its weak point. Both weapons can attack repeatedly during a grapple without ending it, allowing you to deal several hundred damage each time. This is a great way to quickly reduce its VP.

    Surviving the Breath Attack
When Insania Rex drops to about a third health, it will sprout wings and fly up to the ceiling. Prepare your shield, and ensure your Stamina and VP are full. Use Defense Up items if available.

Fly to the ceiling yourself to avoid the breath and face the boss directly. Hold your shield up to parry the attack, and if close enough, keep firing your firearm while guarding. Keep an eye on your Stamina—let it recharge if needed to prevent Armor Break, which causes health loss.

Remember, the breath deals damage over time, not all at once. If caught undefended, use Repair Sprays or Devotion to mitigate the damage—burning through your supply can be effective, though not ideal. After the attack, Insania Rex will descend and rest, giving you a chance to finish it off before it re-engages.

    Rewards for Beating Insania Rex

Fighting Insania Rex multiple times via the Simulator yields better rewards. The first loot will usually be its Fusion Factor, which includes Might-14. That skill teaches Subjugation, allowing you to control nearby Immortals, and it’s a component for many powerful Weapon Skills.

Later encounters can reward you with Insania Rex’s Immortal Cores and the Development Designs for the Dragon Slayer armor series. The Dragon Slayer armor set provides a balanced mix of high VP, Laser Defense, and built-in Burn Resistance, making subsequent battles easier each time.

  • How to Fix and Complete Broken Beacons in Daemon X Machina

How to Fix and Complete Broken Beacons in Daemon X Machina

When exploring Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, you’ll come across Broken Beacons in chests or dropped by enemies. These beacons do nothing on their own, but you can repair them at the Factory when you return to base. Once fixed, they help you locate the long-forgotten Arsenals of fallen soldiers, allowing you to reclaim their powerful gear if you find the right spots.

Your first Broken Beacon might be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with how it works, as there are a few things to keep in mind. This guide is here to help.

    Fixing Broken Beacons

When you find a Broken Beacon, you can restore it using the Factory at your base. Repairing a beacon costs 1,000 credits plus some Flat Cables and Storage Chips, usually between one and three of each. The more resources needed, the better the rewards tend to be.

Note: Flat Cables are common drops from enemies, while Storage Chips are less frequent but still obtainable.

After repairing a beacon, it will reveal a distorted section of the map that shows where its linked Arsenal is located. You can make the map easier to read by upgrading your base’s Restoration features with Civetta.

    Beacon and Arsenal Locations

Beacons and their cache locations are randomly generated each time. There are no fixed coordinates to jump straight to. Also, an Arsenal linked to a beacon won’t appear until the beacon is repaired, so you won’t find one just wandering around.

The good news is that there will always be broken beacons to repair and new loot to find.

    Using a Repaired Beacon

Once a beacon is fixed, look for the matching region on your map. If you haven’t explored that area yet, it will appear blank. However, you can often identify the region by nearby landmarks like roads or some inaccessible areas that are blacked out.

You can track only one beacon at a time. Select your target from the Beacons List and set it as your Exploration Area. When you reach the indicated spot, your minimap will start giving you green pings. The more frequent the pings, the closer you are to the hidden Arsenal.

Important: The minimap only pings for the beacon you currently have set as your Exploration Area. If you’re near another beacon, you’ll need to switch to that one to get signals.

    Finding the Loot

The hidden Arsenal is typically very hard to see — just a small arm sticking out of the ground. When you’re close, activate Search Mode to scan the area. The arm will highlight in your vision, making it much easier to locate and dig up.

Like other loot caches, you can only take one item from the Arsenal. There might be several good options to choose from, so pick wisely. Once you’ve looted the Arsenal, the beacon will be removed from your inventory because it has served its purpose.

  • Top Ice Cream Flavor Combos in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion

Top Ice Cream Flavor Combos in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion

Ice cream shops might seem out of place inside the underground resistance base in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, but Snow Topping offers a useful service. Buying an ice cream treat before heading out on a mission gives you a small but helpful boost. Your flavor choice and cone type will influence the bonus you receive.

Behind its cheerful mascot and friendly staff, Snow Topping keeps a few secrets. Combining different flavors can grant extra perks, so choosing your scoops carefully can benefit your build.

    Ice Cream Flavor Effects

When visiting Snow Topping, you can opt for a single scoop for one buff that lasts 15 minutes or a double scoop for two buffs that last 10 minutes each. The timer starts immediately after purchase, so it’s best to get ice cream just before leaving the base to make the most of the buffs.

    Flavor Cost Effect
Peach 80c Boosts your jump height when holding the jump button in flight.
Yogurt 80c Increases your ground speed.
Banana 100c Speeds up your sprinting outside of combat.
Strawberry 100c Raises your flying speed.
Orange 80c Extends jump distance and height.

Caramel 100c Raises resistance to flinch (yellow damage).
    Mango 80c Increases burn resistance.
Chocolate 80c Speeds up stamina recovery rate.
Vanilla 120c Increases dodge speed while flying in combat.

    Flavor Combos

Getting two scoops can unlock additional bonuses. The order of flavors doesn’t matter for these extra effects, but your choice might influence which cone type looks best.

    Combination Extra Bonus
Peach + Orange Boosts ground sprint speed (not in combat).
Peach + Caramel Increases damage of the final hit in a melee combo.
Yogurt + Orange Improves damage dealt after winning a standoff.
Yogurt + Matcha Raises weapon mastery gain rate.
Yogurt + Caramel Increases dash speed on the ground during combat.
Chocolate + Matcha Also increases dash speed during combat.
Chocolate + Strawberry Boosts flying speed while flying.
Banana + Strawberry Increases damage of the first shot after reloading.
Banana + Caramel Speeds up ground dodge movement during combat.
Banana + Mango Increases flying dash speed during combat.
Mango + Strawberry Boosts flying dodge speed during combat.
Vanilla + Peach Speeds up ground sprinting (not in combat).
Vanilla + Caramel Increases damage of the first shot after reloading.

Note: You can also buy two scoops of the same flavor to boost that effect further, though the benefit may not last as long.

    Cone Types

The amount each stat is increased depends on the cone type you select, which varies by flavor. Always check all options before finalizing your order to maximize the bonus you want. Usually, you’ll find a bigger benefit from one flavor compared to others based on your choice.

  • Tips for New Players in Daemon X Machina: Completing Titanic Scion

Tips for New Players in Daemon X Machina: Completing Titanic Scion

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion provides a wide range of customization options for fast-paced mech battles. The game can be a bit overwhelming and filled with technical jargon, especially for new players. If you’re just starting out or haven’t played the 2019 original, it may take some time to get comfortable with the controls and mechanics.

Here are some tips to help you get started in Titanic Scion. If you have your own advice, share it in the comments!

If You Don’t Speak Japanese, Set the Voice to English

I get it, I prefer subtitles too. However, many side conversations happen during gameplay, and their subtitles appear in text boxes at the lower-left corner of the screen. That can be hard to read during combat, plus they don’t pause when you’re in a menu, meaning you might miss important lore and info if you can’t understand Japanese.

If you don’t speak Japanese, it’s best to switch to English dialogue. You can only change this setting from the title screen, not during gameplay. So, if you’re already playing, you’ll need to quit, go to the settings, switch to English, and restart.

You Might Need to Adjust Stick Sensitivity

Playing with a controller, you might notice that the right stick is very sensitive by default. This can be useful since fighting in all three dimensions requires quick and precise movements, but it can also cause you to overshoot targets or feel disoriented.

On PC, using a mouse and keyboard handles this problem well. To adjust sensitivity on console, go to Settings > Gameplay Settings > Camera Sensitivity and tweak the slider until it feels right. You can always change the settings again later.

You Can Fly – Do It

Not many games let you fly right from the start, but Titanic Scion does. Flying isn’t just a cool feature; it’s essential. To start flying, double-tap the jump button, and tap again to land. Flying allows you to explore quickly, reach mining nodes, and hidden areas. It also provides tactical advantages during combat, despite making movement a bit more complex.

Flying costs very little Femto fuel—just a tiny amount to stay in the air—so you can do it for long durations without worry. Sprinting in the air consumes stamina instead of fuel, allowing for quick bursts of speed or evasive maneuvers.

    Experiment With Weapon Types

Titanic Scion has a huge variety of weapons, with different variants for each. Your loadout will likely change often as you progress, so it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the different combat styles available. You have four main weapon slots, a shoulder mount, and an auxiliary slot that can be a grenade if you choose. Your arsenal is always packed with options.

The armor you wear affects your combat style. For example, Brawling Efficiency boosts melee weapons, while Shooting Accuracy improves firearms. Building your loadout to favor your strengths can make a big difference in battles.

You Can Only Loot One Item Per Enemy

Looting is crucial in Titanic Scion for improving your gear, but there’s a catch—when you defeat an enemy, you can only pick one item from their loot. The rest are lost. Choose wisely when looting.

It’s usually best to wait until an area is clear before looting, so you won’t be distracted by incoming fire. Also, if your inventory is full after a while, you can send items back to your hangar or swap out equipped gear. Remember, swapping out gear discards the previous item unless you send it to your hangar first, so plan accordingly.

    “Accessing” Boxes Picks Them Up

Recovery crates aren’t very common, but they’re highly useful when they appear. Destroying a crate creates a healing field that restores VP to nearby allies. To get the effect, you need to smash the crate rather than just interact with it to pick it up.

In multiplayer, you can throw crates at teammates to help them, which is especially useful if they’re in trouble. Be cautious with explosive crates—they’re designed to damage enemies, so don’t destroy them near yourself.

Know When to Use Autolock (And When Not To)

Autolock can be very helpful in chaotic fights against quick enemies or tough bosses like Legion. It’s especially good for melee attacks and close-range shooting on large targets.

However, autolock isn’t perfect for all situations. It becomes less effective at longer ranges since it always targets the current position of your enemy. When fighting at a distance, it’s usually better to unlock and aim manually to predict their movement and land shots more accurately.

Always Eat Ice Cream Before Leaving the Base

Here’s a fun tip with a small spoiler—at the base, there’s an ice cream shop that lets you buy a temporary buff for almost no credits. Spending a few seconds and some credits before heading out on a mission can give you a boost.

The real benefit of visiting the shop regularly isn’t just the buffs—they’re modest—but the loyalty rewards. Building up your stamp card can eventually unlock the “Secret Flavor,” a hidden shop with rare gear. Plus, the ice cream shop is just a fun and silly way to take a break before jumping into combat.
