Where to Find the Kuku Watcher Pack Blueprint in Crimson Desert During Completing and Solving
Crimson Desert is packed with armor pieces, weapons, consumables, and important items, many of which can be easily overlooked if you don’t explore thoroughly. While some items require little effort to find, the Kuku Packs are among the top gear and can greatly improve your gameplay experience.

One notable item is the Kuku Watcher Pack, which summons two invincible drones that constantly attack enemies during fights. It’s especially useful when fighting groups or bosses, making combat easier. In my opinion, the Kuku Watcher Pack is essential. Here’s everything you need to know to get your own personal army.

Kuku Watcher Pack Blueprint Location

To unlock the blueprint for the Kuku Watcher Pack, you first need to craft a standard Kuku Pack. This starts with completing “The Witch of Wisdom” quest and cleansing the Sanctum of Penitence. The sanctum is located just southeast of Hernand and northwest of the Willow River. You’ll need to defeat all cultists guarding the area until the progress bar hits zero, then find and insert the reactor core into the machine to activate it. A cutscene will follow, where the witch awards you the blueprint for the Kuku Pack. Afterward, visit Grimnir at the Kilnden Workshop west of Hernand to craft your Kuku Pack.

Unlock The Witch of Kindness Quest

With your Kuku Pack, the next step is to hunt for the blueprint for the Watcher Pack. You must first unlock the “Witch of Kindness” quest in Pailune. Travel southeast of Wayward Woods into the mountains and find a small tent where a freezing woman is located. Approach her and light the nearby brazier to warm her up. She is actually a witch, and she will ask for your help. Accept her invitation, and she will give you a new map marker for her home north of your position. Talk to Bari there to start the “Witch of Kindness” quest, which triggers cultists to attack sanctums throughout Pailune, allowing progress toward the Watcher Pack.

Cleansing the Sanctum of Atonement

Once you have this quest, go to the Sanctum of Atonement, located west of the Hunated Hills and north of Hernand’s letter A on the map. Defeat all cultists in the area; the only challenge is the flying wizards, which can be taken down with a few arrows. When clear, locate the reactor core and the floating pillar piece in the northern part of the sanctum’s main chamber, inside side rooms. Insert both into the machine to cleanse the sanctum. This triggers a cutscene where Bari thanks you and gives you the blueprint for the Kuku Watcher Pack.

Materials Needed for the Kuku Watcher Pack

Gathering the required materials involves finding several specific items:
- Abyss Cell 0: These large spherical cores are destroyed with Focus Force Palm on Bismuth Ore walls. One good spot is north of the Denn River in northern Demeniss near Hollow Haven; destroy the cores in the wall to collect them.
- Clockwork Insects: You need 300 of these. Luckily, the Kuku Pack makes collecting them easy. Head to Delesyia, where large swarms of Clockwork Dragonflies and Ants are common, especially near the Gate of Peace. Use your pack to vacuum up dozens at a time by activating it near the swarms.
- Electrical Components: Found along the main road north of Mount Benus toward Blue Thicket. Defeat the large drill-equipped golems, which have a chance to drop mechanical parts that resemble motors and emit sparks. Use your Sealing ability to store these in your Kuku Pot.
- Small Batteries: You need 200, obtainable in Delesyia. These drop from smaller robots and golems, especially around Marni Mechworks and Marni’s Masterium. As long as these areas are not fully cleared, patrols keep spawning, making it easy to gather batteries passively over time.
Once you have all the materials, return to Grimnir at Kilnden Workshop and craft the Kuku Watcher Pack. Equip it, and deploy your drones to assist in battles whenever needed.

How to Defeat Beloth, The Darksworn in Crimson Desert: Completing and Solving
The Armor of the Shadows set is one of the most popular and sought-after gear collections in Crimson Desert. Getting the full set is challenging, but there’s an easy way to find most of it by exploring specific hidden locations in the wild. You’ll need to travel to four secret spots to loot treasure chests containing these pieces.

However, this method doesn’t include the helmet. To get the helmet, you’ll have to take on a tougher challenge later in the game. If you’re okay with using a different helmet, like the Frostcursed Armor helmet, you can skip the hard fight and still collect the other four items without combat.

Finding most parts of the armor is straightforward—just head to the four designated locations and loot the chests. Keep in mind, though, that the helmet isn’t part of this loot method; you’ll need to go after a special boss for that, which we’ll cover further down.

How To Get The Plate Gloves Of The Shadows

Go to the far western edge of Hernand, northwest of the Spire of Stars, in the Everfrost area. Look for a cave entrance carved into the mountain on a broad ledge overlooking the eastern scenery. Be careful of storm warnings—if you’re rerouted away from the region, you’re too far north. The cave, called Everfrost Cave, is about halfway down the mountain.

Once inside, navigate the icy slippery passage to the back of the cave to find the Gloves of the Shadows.

Loot the gloves to get:
- Attack: 18
- Defense: 3
- Refinement: 3
- Bonuses: +2% climb speed, +2% swim speed
How To Get The Plate Boots Of The Shadows

From the last loot spot in Everfrost Cave, follow the river heading northeast until you reach a large waterfall. Use the Stab skill (RB/R1 + Y/Triangle) to dash through the rushing water and enter a hidden cave called Frostclaw Cave. Inside, approach the back of the cave to find and loot the Plate Boots.

Loot for the boots:
- Attack: 16
- Defense: 7
- Refinement: 3
- Bonuses: +10% skill experience gain, +2% climb speed
How To Get The Plate Armor Of The Shadows

Head north of the river above the ‘H’ in Hernand, near the Everfrost Watch Tower. Look for a plateau filled with tents—don’t get too close. Find a small cave entrance southwest of the watchtower, marked by a gate. Light the nearby lamp to open the gate, then go inside to loot the chest and acquire the Plate Armor of the Shadows.

Loot details:
- Attack: (none)
- Defense: 13
- Refinement: 3
- Bonuses: Immunity to petrification, +3 defense, +2% stamina regeneration
How To Get The Plate Cloak Of The Shadows

Travel to Hoenmark Ruins. Slightly west of the ruins is a rooftop of a stone building with a strange stone patch. Use Force Palm (force slam) to break it open and reveal a secret room. Loot the chest to find the Plate Cloak of the Shadows. Light the fire inside to open the gate and leave the area.

Loot:
- Defense: 3
- Refinement: 3
How To Get The Complete Armor Of The Shadows Set

To collect the full set, including the helmet, reach chapter 7 and head back to Hoenmark Ruins. Confront Beloth, the Darksworn—a tough boss that can be skipped if desired (by skipping the House Lanford White Blizzard quest). Facing Beloth requires full preparation, especially with ice-resistant armor like the Frostcursed Set, and the right skills and weapons.

Preparation tips:
- Use a powerful two-handed sword like Darkbringer
- Equip armor with ice resistance
- Carry plenty of food and Palmerc Pills
- Bring skills like Evasive Shot, Evasive Roll, Focus, Force Palm, Keen Senses, and high-level Stamina/Health
Cheese strategy:
- Quickly run to a pillar at the fight’s start and dodge Beloth’s attacks
- Lure him near pillars and attack when he’s close
- Use Peak and dodge techniques to avoid his ice attacks
- Keep repeating until he’s defeated, using pillars to your advantage
Defeating Beloth grants a quest marker to claim the full set, starting with the Helmet of the Shadows. Follow the marker into nearby ruins and loot the helmet to complete your armor collection.

Loot for the helmet:
- Defense: 8
- Refinement: 3
- Bonuses include immunity to Daze, +3 defense, and the Glacial Domain ability to freeze enemies and water using LB/L1 + RB/R1.

How to Get a Kuku Bird Mount in Crimson Desert: Completing & Solving

Crimson Desert’s latest update brings a bunch of new features and fixes. There’s a new material extraction option at the Smithys and a claw machine you can try out. Plus, several new mounts are now available for players to ride across the game world.

One of the most interesting and adorable mounts is the Kuku Bird. Similar to the Chocobo from Final Fantasy, it’s a big bird you can hatch and ride. Here’s what you need to know about how to get your own Kuku Bird and where to find its egg.

Kuku Bird Egg Location

Your first step is to find the egg. Head to the Bloodsteel Camp in the southern part of Demeniss. If you haven’t cleared this camp yet, you’ll need to fight off all the bandits occupying it. There are quite a few enemies here, so be prepared for a tough fight.

These enemies tend to use bows, so expect lots of ranged attacks. It’s helpful to use explosive arrows if you have them—these can take out their towers and other structures easily. Inside the camp, you’ll find the bandit boss, Bradie Gu, who wields a large saw as a weapon. The fight is straightforward since his attacks are mostly slow to wind up, making them easy to dodge if you pay attention.

Once you’ve defeated enough enemies to clear the camp, the top left corner will show a percentage bar. When this drops to zero, the camp is safe to explore. Go back to where you fought the boss and look at the right side of the makeshift throne. Just below the tower’s roof, you’ll notice part of the tower wall acting as a hidden door. Climb onto the tower, hold the Left Trigger to embed yourself into the wall, and use a Force Palm strike. This action will spin the wall open, revealing a secret room inside the tower. Here, you’ll find the Kuku Bird Egg and a book with information about different Kuku Birds.

How to Hatch the Kuku Bird Egg

Once you have the egg, hatching it is simple. Travel to the northern part of Demeniss, south of the Grey Rock Quarry. Climb a small mountain there until you reach a forest with a large circle of boulders. In the middle, you’ll see an empty Kuku Bird’s nest.

Hold the Left Trigger to aim the egg and set it down in the nest. Wait about an in-game hour. When the egg turns a bright orange glow, approach it and select the “Hatch” option. This will spawn your new mount—the Leaping Kuku Bird—which will appear in your inventory as a special mount. You can summon and ride it anytime to help you explore the world.

Kuku Bird Saddle Location

If you want your Kuku Bird to look its best, you’ll need a saddle. You can buy a Kuku Bird Saddle for 28 Silver at the Saddlery located in Calphade, southwest of Pailune, just below the Calphade Training Field. Find the large stable outside and speak to the Saddlery merchant.

After purchasing the saddle, go to your Special Mounts tab in the inventory. Hover over the Egg Helm and replace it with the saddle you bought. This change will remove the egg from the bird’s head and give it a proper saddle, making it look ready for riding at all times.

How Material Extraction Ensures Success in Crimson Desert

A new update has been released for Crimson Desert, adding several new features to enhance gameplay. Players can now feed their mounts and purchase saddles for rarer animal species. Additionally, sword sheaths can now be displayed when not in use, providing a more realistic look. These changes are aimed at improving the overall quality of life in the game.

The most notable addition is the Extraction feature available at blacksmiths across various cities. Here’s how it works, whether it’s worth your effort, and what you earn by extracting unused weapons and armor.

To get started, visit any Smithy in the game world. When you interact with the blacksmith, you will see a new option called “Extraction” alongside Refinement and Crafting. Selecting this option opens a list of all your current weapons and armor pieces. You can choose any item to extract materials from, which then shows all its previous refinement levels.

You can select any level from this list to reset that piece of gear to the designated earlier refinement level. Doing so refunds you the materials used to reach that level. The amount of materials you receive depends on the rarity of the item. For common materials like Bloodstone or Iron Ore, you recover about 70% of the original materials. Rarer items like Abyss Artifacts or Aeserion’s Scales are returned at a full 100%.

The quantity of materials gained increases the lower you set the refinement level. For example, downgrading your Molten Ambition sword to Refinement Level 3 will give you 22 Iron Ore, 21 Copper Ore, 8 Bloodstone, and 3 Abyss Artifacts. Importantly, the actual weapon isn’t destroyed in the process—it’s just downgraded, so you won’t lose key gear you’ve invested heavily in. However, you cannot reduce a weapon or armor piece below its original discovery level.

This feature is accessible regardless of whether the character associated with the gear (like Oongka or Damiane) is present. As long as the gear is in your inventory, you can reduce its refinement level to recoup materials. Remember, gear needs to be in your inventory to modify it—if it’s stored in a large chest, you’ll need to carry it to a Smithy first.

Using extraction is a great way to reclaim materials you might have spent on gear you no longer use, especially Abyss Artifacts. Since these artifacts are essential for higher-level refinement and unlocking new skills, gaining more of them is very helpful for progression. Although the process might take some time, reviewing your unused weapons and armor and downgrading them at a Smithy can significantly aid in strengthening your key equipment, making your advancement in the game smoother and less frustrating.

How to Solve the Mech Suit Puzzle in Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert is designed to bring your knight, sci-fi, and mech-suit adventure fantasies to life, especially as you advance through the story and unlock the A.T.A.G.

An A.T.A.G., or All-Terrain Armored Gear, is a personal, walking tank built by Valvash and Marek, two top engineers from Gothrak. You can pilot one of these powerful suits after completing certain steps. Here’s how to craft an A.T.A.G. in Crimson Desert.

What Is an A.T.A.G.?

An A.T.A.G. is a small combat mech that can walk across rugged terrain. It’s equipped with weapons like auto-turrets and cannons, making it a formidable presence on the battlefield. The A.T.A.G. also has its own health bar. If it takes too much damage, it becomes useless until repaired or replaced.

You unlock access to the A.T.A.G. during Chapter 10, specifically on the ninth step of the Counterattack mission called “Hidden Ace.” At first, you’ll find small garages scattered throughout Gothrak where you can get a new A.T.A.G. to use during that mission. After helping Valgash’s troops with the A.T.A.G. Marek gives you, you’ll be able to use one anytime if you help Marek craft it for you. We’ll explain how to complete the quest with Marek later.

How to Craft an A.T.A.G.

To build your own A.T.A.G., you need to talk to Marek, part of the Pot and Weapons quest chain for the Ironflame Orcs, which becomes available after helping them using an A.T.A.G. during the Hidden Ace quest in Chapter 10.

Once you speak with Marek, go to Grimnir in Kilnden, Hernand, to craft a Small Kuku A.T.A.G. first. You’ll need these ingredients:
- One Kuku Pot (requires five Iron Ore and five Timber)
- One Abyss Cell
- Five Cogwheels
- Five Small Batteries
Bring the completed Small Kuku A.T.A.G. back to Marek in Gothrak. He’ll be pleased with your work, and you’ll now have the mini version that follows you around like a pet, which you can activate from your inventory.

Next, return to Grimnir’s workshop to craft the full-sized A.T.A.G. suit. You’ll need the following items:
- One Small Kuku A.T.A.G.
- 300 Small Batteries
- 300 Cogwheels
- Two Power Cores – Verse of Sowing
- One Core of Benediction
You can obtain a Core of Benediction by focusing your light using Blinding Flash on the large crystal inside the Sanctum of Benediction machine until it produces a core. Power Cores like the Verse of Sowing are farmed from Abyss enemies such as stone worms, and you collect them into your Kuku Pot by using Axiom Force and then choosing the Seal option.

How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Exaltation by Completing in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, you will encounter several large structures that are heavily guarded by fanatic cult members. Tasked by different witches in the game, your goal is to clear these Sanctums and restore the dormant powerful machines inside to earn rewards like Kuku blueprints.

One such structure is the Sanctum of Exaltation, which you need to clear of enemies to earn good rewards. Here’s how to cleanse the Sanctum of Exaltation.

Sanctum of Exaltation Location

To find the Sanctum of Exaltation, head to the northern part of Pailune, just southwest of the Silver Wolf Mountains marked on your map. It’s recommended to wear armor or Abyss Gear with Ice Resistance to counter the cold weather, which boosts stamina regeneration. The Helfryn Leather Cloak is a good choice, obtainable by following a specific guide.

Before approaching, you need to discover and speak to Bari, the Witch of Kindness. She can be found in the mountains northwest of the P in Pailune. Find her trying to survive the cold, approach her and light the fire to warm her up. She will reveal herself as a witch and mark her location on your map.

Visit Bari at her home, choose “Listen to Request,” and she will ask you to liberate the sanctums in Pailune. This causes cultists to move into the Sanctum of Exaltation, making it accessible for cleansing.

How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Exaltation

First, eliminate all cultists in the area. The enemies include basic soldiers wielding swords and spears, as well as flying wizards throwing dark magic from a distance. Use arrows to take out the wizards, as hitting them will force them to the ground, leaving them vulnerable to attack. There are no major bosses here, so just keep fighting until the enemy meter reaches zero. Once it hits zero, a cutscene will show the cultists fleeing, and it becomes safe to explore and solve the remaining puzzles.

Repair the Machine

With enemies gone, focus on repairing the machine at the top of the Sanctum. You’ll need to find two parts: a destroyed pillar piece and a Reactor Core.

To get the pillar piece, drain the water flooding the room. Look for a cracked, frozen-over wall to the right of the stairs leading up before the machine. Strike the crack with Force Palm to release the water, then go up the stairs and look into the hole on the right. Inside, you’ll find the pillar fragment. Use Axiom Force to carry it back and connect it to the missing top of the pillar in the main room by striking it with Force Palm.

Next, retrieve the Reactor Core, located at the bottom of the Sanctum. Find the destroyed bridge and jump down onto the remaining segment attached to the structure. Among the rubble blocking the main entrance, the floating Reactor Core is visible. Carry it back to the machine and place it in the square-shaped slot. Strike it with Force Palm to power up the machine. A cutscene will then feature Bari arriving as the machine activates.

Lightning Bolt Plate Gloves Location

Before leaving, revisit the floor where you broke the wall to drain the water. Find a door with iron bars blocking your path. Light the torches on either side to lower the bars. Inside, you’ll find a chest containing the Lightning Bolt Plate Gloves, a Level 3 armor piece with two Abyss Gear slots, offering 18 Attack, 3 Defense, and increased Movement Speed. They’re useful early on, though the gear slots don’t contain any especially unique or powerful items.

Core of Exaltation Location

The final major reward is the Core of Exaltation, associated with the activated machine at the top. Stand on the ornate platform before the machine, activate your Blinding Light ability (Left Bumper + Right Bumper), then select Focus Light by pressing Left Bumper again. Use Focus Light on the central gem while the smaller surrounding gems align at the top. Wait for the smaller gems to line up correctly; releasing Focus Light at the wrong moment causes the puzzle to reset. When successful, the machine will produce the Core of Exaltation. Capture it with Axiom Force and store it in your Kuku Pot for future crafting. This completes the Sanctum of Exaltation, which you won’t need to revisit.

How to Easily Beat Keglord in Crimson Desert by Completing and Solving
Keglord Garnier stands out as one of the most unique and tough boss fights in Crimson Desert. If you don’t understand how its mechanics work, beating it can be quite difficult. Luckily, there’s a straightforward way to defeat Keglord quickly by playing smartly.

There may be lots of carnival tents around the area where the boss fight takes place, but entering unprepared makes the battle less fun. We’ll guide you through unlocking the Midnight Circus quest chain, locating the boss, and getting ready for the fight against Keglord.

How to Unlock the Midnight Circus Quest

Before battling Keglord, progress the story until you reach Demeniss and unlock the House Marshell Faction Quests. After that, follow the Midnight Circus quest chain and go to the marker in Demeniss as part of the “Mysterious Messenger” quest.

First, find the messenger just below the letter ‘M’ in “Demeniss” and talk to him. He’ll tell you that Lord Keg is looking for you, which begins the “Nightmare on Stage” quest. Follow your marker and speak with him underneath the big tent at night.

How to Defeat Keglord

Before approaching the tent, make sure you have these skills ready, whether you’re fighting with melee or ranged attacks:
- Focus (Spirit)
- Keen Sense (Spirit)
- Evasive Roll (Spirit)
- Stab (Stamina)
- Stamina Level 9 or higher
- Health Level 5 or higher
- Spirit Level 4 or higher
If you’re using a ranged build with a bow, add these skills:
- Evasive Shot (Stamina)
- Marksmanship (Stamina)
For melee fighters, focus on these skills:
- Turning Slash (Stamina)
- Armed Combat (Stamina)
- Forward Slash (Stamina)
It’s recommended to equip the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom, which boosts your Turning Slash damage by 35%, helping you deal more damage.

Once you arrive at Lord Keg, you’ll face an unexpected enemy — the Keglord Garnier Mk. 23. To find his weakness, do the following:
1. Dodge his initial lightning slam and flamethrower attacks by backing up until he slams his hands down.
2. When he does a slam, shoot or slash his hands to expose the green weak points.
3. Use Explosive Arrows or Turning Slash to hit his central electric core — this deals huge damage and starts a stun gauge.
4. When stunned, focus on attacking one hand. Follow the prompt to stab it:
  - Hold RB+Y / R2+Triangle to stab.
  - Use RT/R2 Pierce to trigger a big explosion that breaks Keglord’s shield.
5. Repeat this process on the opposite hand.
6. After both hands are stabbed, attack him again with Explosive Arrows until he’s stunned.
7. Climb his torso and use the cling ability to stab one of the shoulders, which should destroy his shield because of residual damage from explosions.
How to Finish Keglord’s Second Phase

When his shield is gone, his main HP will be visible. This is when you can do the most damage, especially if you’re a bow user.

To damage him effectively:
- Use arrows to attack from a distance.
- Melee users should stick to Turning Slash for maximum damage and stun potential.
Your goal is to stun Keglord again. Once he’s stunned:
- Use Stab to plunge your weapon into his exposed green dome.
- Pierce the dome to instantly defeat him.
Rewards for Defeating Keglord Garnier

After the boss falls, a cutscene will show his defeat, and you’ll receive your loot:
- Abyss Artifact
- Tech Hat — provides 2 Defense and a fun Fanfare that launches fireworks with a silly sound
- Official Knight’s Cloth Cloak — grants 4 Defense, 4 Refinement, and Lv. 3 Ice Resistance
- Wrecked Keglord — a one-time treasure that gives a large amount of Camp Wood
Be cautious with the Wrecked Keglord item; it might trigger other one-time items, like the Golden Piggy Bank, unintentionally.

How to Get the Hyacinth Macaw Pet in Crimson Desert by Completing and Solving

Crimson Desert’s latest update adds several new features for players, including repeatable boss battles, a disguise shop, and some new legendary animals you can make into pets. Among the legendary birds, the most popular is the mechanical Iron Eagle, but if you prefer something a bit cuter and smaller, you can try to find the Hyacinth Macaw.

If you want to get this bird as your pet, you’ll need to complete a few steps. Here’s how to do it:

How to Get the Hyacinth Macaw

First Step: Gather Desert Melons
The Hyacinth Macaw’s favorite food is Desert Melons. Feeding them will quickly increase the bird’s Trust meter, which is important for making the Macaw your pet. These melons are found in the northwest region of Crimson Desert.
You can buy Desert Melons from Grocer’s Shops—they sell them for 72 Copper each, and you can buy up to five at a time. If you haven’t explored far into this area, head to the main city just south of Tashkalp. It’s accessible by horseback, following the main roads.

Tip: Buy at least 12 Desert Melons to start. More could be helpful since other birds might land on the feeder and try to eat the food. Keeping a supply ensures you don’t need to make multiple trips to fill the Trust meter fully.

Second Step: Liberate Giant’s Yard Outpost Camp
Next, head to Giant’s Yard Outpost, located to the far east along the Red River, just south of the Redtree Forest. The camp is controlled by the Wolf Trackers faction. It has a small enemy force that’s not too hard to deal with.
You need to reduce the camp’s control bar from 100% down to zero. This forces the enemies to flee. You can do this effectively by shooting explosive arrows at their guard towers, destroying the towers and killing the soldiers from a distance.

Hyacinth Macaw Location
The area with the Hyacinth Macaw can be tricky because it shares the space with many tropical birds that might try to eat your melons, and its flight path can be unpredictable. After some testing, a good spot to place the Sotdae (the offering perch) is on the cliff northeast of the camp, to the right of the large wooden tower shown in the game. Several spots along this cliff work, but you should stay in the general area to ensure the Macaw sees your offering.

Timing doesn’t seem to matter much, but people have had better luck during daytime, especially between 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

Waiting for the Bird
Getting the Macaw to land might require multiple attempts or waiting about 45 minutes. When it finally lands on your feeder and starts eating, it will need at least seven Desert Melons to fill its Trust meter. Once filled, you’ll have the option to “Take In” the Hyacinth Macaw, officially making it your pet.

Pet Details
The Hyacinth Macaw doesn’t provide any unique benefits like other pets might—mainly, it can gather materials or loot from enemy corpses. The main distinction is that it is the largest parrot in the game.

How to Start the Hunting Red Quest

The Hunting Red quest is part of the Pailune Militia faction quests. To begin, you need to complete two initial quests:
- The Crossroads of Succession (all nine steps)
- Dark Shadow Engulfing the Fort (all two steps)
These quests are listed under the Pailune Militia tab. After finishing both, you’ll automatically unlock the first step of the Bloodied Path quest chain. This chain’s main goal is to hunt down the Blood Walker, also known as Bloodwalker Crussis, a massive beast terrorizing local civilians.

Follow your map marker to the center of Pailune City and read the bounty notice you find. It’s a reward for the Blood Walker, a beast attacking innocent people. Once you read the bounty, your map updates to guide you to the south of Pailune, just west of the Pailune East Gate.

2. Using Focus (by pressing RS+LS or R3+L3), then releasing it with RB or R1 to unleash a staggering blast.
Using Focused Repulsion is especially effective because it stuns the boss immediately. During combat, choose your preferred method to weaken the boss and then attack its core once exposed. Hitting the yellow core does significant damage, especially when the beast is broken apart.

Be cautious when the boss goes underground, as it’s about to perform a deadly combo that can kill you instantly. The key to a quick victory is to:
- Trigger a Focus blast to disassemble it.
- Attack its weak spot as much as possible.
- When it starts reforming, stay close to the reformation spot and activate Focus again.
- As it reassembles, press RB or R1 to immediately stun it again.
- Deal as much damage as possible during these openings.
- Repeat this process until the boss falls.

How to Make Birds Your Pets in Crimson Desert: Completing and Solving

A recent update for Crimson Desert introduces several new features and fixes bugs. The update includes expanded house storage, a new armor set, and new moves for each of the three playable characters, offering a good amount of fresh content to explore.

One of the most exciting new options is the ability to make birds your pets that will follow you around. If you want to add a bird to your team, here’s how to feed them, what they prefer to eat, and how to increase their Trust level.

How to Get the Sotdae of Bond

To feed birds and turn them into pets, you first need to obtain the Sotdae of Bond. This item is gained by completing the full Trembling Woods quest for the Pororin Forest Guardians. The quest starts in Hernand’s southern part, in the town of Pororin.

If you’ve already completed the quest, you can find the Sotdae of Bond in your storage at the Howling Hills camp.

When you try to enter the village, you might get drugged and thrown out by the defending shais. Don’t let this stop you; try entering Pororin two more times. After the third time, a cutscene plays, and you wake up to Arkin singing to animals. She’ll tell you that you need to find a relic that has gone missing.

Go to the marked location and wait at the cliff where Arkin is. Watch for a large, intelligent tree passing by. Climb onto the tree to find the relic caught between its branches. Pick up the relic and bring it back to Arkin to complete the quest and receive the Sotdae of Bond.

How to Feed Birds

To feed birds, you need the Sotdae of Bond in your inventory. When you’re near a bird you want to tame, select the “Use” option to place the Sotdae on the ground in a suitable spot (indicated by a blue circle).

Interact with the placed feeder to fill it with food of your choice. Different birds prefer specific foods, such as oats, buckwheat, pineapple, peas, and more. Once the bird notices the food and starts eating, its Trust level will gradually increase. Make sure to feed the bird enough to completely fill the Trust meter in one go. Taming a bird can often be done in one feeding session if you have enough of its favorite food, unlike dogs or cats that take days to domesticate.

Keep in mind, some birds appear only in specific locations and at certain times. For example, you can find an owl at the Abyss Gate near Howling Hills after 12 A.M., and crows are found in the village of Tariv east of the Hexe Sanctuary in Demeniss.

Once you trust a bird enough, an option to “Take In” will become available. Select this to add the bird to your collection of pets. You can then rename them or choose which bird to use from your inventory. Although they don’t fight alongside you like other animals, they will gather materials from dead bodies and resource nodes.

After taming a bird, you can leave the Sotdae of Bond where it is. It will stay there through travel and will be shown in Cliff’s Recover Item tab when managing your provisions.

How to Tame the Legendary Phoenix

The only exception to the usual method is the Legendary Phoenix, which can be found in the region south of Trader’s Expanse. During the day, look for a large, bright orange bird flying with smaller birds nearby. The phoenix is quite noticeable due to its size and color.

Once spotted, shoot it down with your bow. Don’t worry if this kills the bird; approach the corpse and skin it as you would any other legendary animal to get a Phoenix Feather. Take this feather to a witch to craft a “Sigil of Solidarity (Phoenix).” Using this item will turn the Legendary Phoenix into your pet.

If you’re starting your King Arthur cosplay in Crimson Desert, the best place to begin is with the Righteous Verdict sword, often called Excalibur. Although it isn’t officially named Excalibur in the game, you can find it embedded in a stone and have to pull it out to claim it.

The good news is that you don’t need to fight any enemies to get this sword—you can go straight to the location without combat. Here’s how to find the Righteous Verdict sword in Crimson Desert.

How to Find the Righteous Verdict Sword

To locate the sword that resembles Excalibur, head into the Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins, which are situated east of the Steel Mountains.

Next, travel toward the west side of Bowspirit Cape. Before reaching that point, pass through the Nightfell Expedition Camp, which you might need to clear of enemies or choose to ignore and run past.

You’ll find a hidden cave entrance near Demeniss as you approach. If coming from the west, the cave is tucked away on a cliff overlooking the water in the southwestern part of the area. You’ll need to turn inland or west to enter.

Once inside the cave:
- Follow the path until you see a waterfall.
- Turn left and carefully jump across the tree trunks, navigating through a tricky section.
- There’s a small hidden path behind the waterfall that you’ll need to carefully find to continue.
Proceed down the stairs and pass through the slowly opening door—this is the entrance to Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins. From here:
- Move forward and jump across the large stone pillars. You might recognize this jumping puzzle if you’ve previously obtained other weapons like the Gold Knotted Ancestral Bow.
- If you fall, swim to the edge and try again.
- Once you cross the pillars, approach the next door and enter inside.
Inside, you’ll find the reward: the Righteous Verdict sword, lodged in a stone slab much like Excalibur.

Unlike the traditional version of Excalibur, grabbing this weapon is straightforward—simply pull it from its resting place to add it to your collection.

In Crimson Desert, there are many fast travel spots scattered across Pywel. Some of these locations can only be unlocked by completing a small puzzle, which also grants you an Abyss Cresset along with the travel point. One of the earliest and most rewarding puzzles is found in the Steel Mountains.

Here’s how to locate the Steel Mountain Ruins puzzle, how to solve it, and what rewards you’ll get for your efforts.

How to find the Steel Mountain Ruins

First, go to the mountainous region just northwest of the Spire of Insight. The Spire is slightly northwest of the area marked “Steel Mountains” on your map.

As you journey northwest, you’ll come across a small outdoor workshop set up on the edge of a mountain wall. Nearby, you’ll see a group of eight bells and some papers posted on a board.

How to solve the Steel Mountain Ruins Bell Puzzle

To solve this puzzle, focus on the pages with symbols written on them. These symbols match those above the bells in the area.

For simplicity, we’ve numbered the bells from one through eight, starting at the top left corner and moving down in a snake pattern.

To unlock the nearby stone wall, ring the bells in this specific order: 1-2-3-4-5-6-4-3-2-1.

You can activate the bells by either hitting them with a mallet or shooting them with arrows.

Once you ring the bells correctly, the stone wall will open, revealing a platform with an Abyss Cresset and a new fast travel point. You can now teleport back here anytime, making it a very useful spot for other quests in this area.

How To Complete the Kuku Disruptor Spear Blueprint Quest in Crimson Desert

There are many weapons in Crimson Desert, mostly used to obtain powerful Abyss Gear. Among them, a series of spears are linked to elemental styles, making them great against specific enemies.

One notable spear is the Kuku Disruptor Spear, which is the best weapon in the game for fighting Clockwork and robotic enemies. Here’s how you can get this weapon and its blueprint, so you can remove its durability and use it to defeat mechanical foes throughout Delesyia.

Kuku Disruptor Spear Location

To find the Kuku Disruptor Spear, head to the southeast region of Delesyia. Specifically, go north of Gorthak and directly west of the Gunlore Outpost. If you haven’t advanced far enough in the main story, this area might be a war zone.

Expect fierce battles here, with dozens of Clockwork Dragonflies, Ants, Mantis, and Beetles fighting against Demeniss soldiers. Even with gear at Refinement Level 7, I still took a lot of damage from tougher enemies like the Clockwork Mantis. If your level is too low, I don’t recommend attempting to find the spear yet because you’ll have to fight many enemies.

When you arrive at the marked location, go up the hill and find a tent filled with supplies and weapons. Inside, among the crates, the Kuku Disruptor Spear sits on a stand in the middle. If you’ve already progressed through the main campaign and liberated this area, you can explore it freely.

Early Acquisition Challenges

Getting the spear early means battling hordes of clockwork enemies. Many of them will fight you aggressively, making interaction with the spear impossible until the game considers you out of combat. You’ll need to eliminate nearby enemies to proceed, which can be quite a task.

The biggest challenge comes from the Clockwork Dragonflies, which attack in large swarms and shoot laser beams. Using arrows or projectile-based Abyss Gear works best because these enemies have low health. Be quick, though, because periodically more clockwork enemies will arrive by air drops.

Warning: Don’t try to fight the Clockwork Mantis unless your gear is properly equipped. It can deal massive damage and kill you in just a few hits.

Once you’ve temporarily cleared the area, approach the stand and interact to pick up the spear. It’s a good idea to leave the battlefield quickly if your goal isn’t to save the area as part of the main story. Later, you’ll need to make this zone safe to obtain the blueprint.

Obtaining the Blueprint

To get the blueprint, first secure the Gorthak battlefield and then visit the Gunlore Outpost. Talk to Marke to accept the “Pinnacle of Technical Skill” quest. Completing this will reward you with the blueprint, allowing you to craft a permanent version of the Kuku Disruptor Spear that doesn’t break and can be upgraded.

Additional Crafting Requirements

Before you can craft the spear, you must clear the Sanctum of Absolution in southern Hernand and purge it of cultists. Doing this grants the Enhanced Kuku Pot Blueprint, necessary for crafting the spear.

You’ll also need to gather 15 Small Batteries, 10 Cogwheels, and 2 Electrical Components—items found by defeating Clockwork or mechanical enemies across Delesyia.

Final Steps

After completing all these steps, visit the Kilden Workshop and speak to Grimnir. His crafting menu will allow you to create the finished Kuku Disruptor Spear, which has unlimited durability and can be upgraded. It’s highly recommended to craft this spear early on, especially when tackling missions in Delesyia with many clockwork enemies.

Studying the environment and the many creatures roaming Pywel in Crimson Desert can take a long time, but there’s an item that makes it much easier. The Helm of Knowledge allows you to get information instantly.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Helm of Knowledge: where to find it, what it does, and the best time to get it if you’re following the main story.

Where Is the Helm of Knowledge?
You can find the Helm of Knowledge during Chapter 4, as part of the Forbidden Knowledge quest. You’ll need to find and enter the Sholastone Institute.

Alternatively, you can go directly to the location at any point in your adventure by heading southwest of The Witchwoods in southern Hernand.

How to Get the Helm of Knowledge
The Helm is on the second floor of the Library area, located on the northern side of the Scholastone Institute.

To reach it, enter the library and pass through the stone door that opens automatically in the room with the giant floating globe.
Proceed north down the hall and go past all the books. You’ll come to two staircases, both leading to the second floor—choose either one to go up.

Once upstairs, stay to the right and follow the path to a dead end beside a bookcase. The Helm of Knowledge will be sitting on a bench there, unguarded.

To get to it, enter the library, walk past the floating globe, and go north through the corridor filled with books. When you reach the second floor, take either staircase to the upper level.

At the top, follow the path right to the end, next to a bookcase, where the Helm of Knowledge is waiting on a bench.

How to Use the Helm of Knowledge
The Helm is a Key Item, similar to the Visione. To equip it, open your armor wheel and select it from your helmet slot.

While the Helm is equipped, hold your controller buttons (LT+RT on Xbox or L2+R2 on PlayStation) and hover over a creature or item from a distance. Release the buttons, and your character will instantly gather information about whatever you’re looking at.

Basically, to gain knowledge about something, just look at it while the Helm of Knowledge is active.

Best Necklace in Crimson Desert: Where to Find and Complete the Puzzle

Crimson Desert offers a wide variety of gear you can find to boost Kliff’s combat skills. From strong swords to elemental powers and entire armor sets, there’s plenty of loot to discover while exploring the open world.

Some items are significantly better than others and may require effort to obtain. One of the top-tier accessories is the White Lion Necklace. You won’t need to solve a puzzle to unlock it, but it’s located across the map, and defeating a tough enemy may be necessary if your level is low.

### How to Get the White Lion Necklace

To acquire the White Lion Necklace, head northeast from Varnia on your map, specifically north of the Trader’s Gorge along the lake. If you’re still in Hernand or Demeniss, this trip might take around 20 to 30 minutes on horseback if you’re using the default mount.

Travel through Crimson Desert is dangerous, with many bandits and soldiers attempting to attack you. It’s best to stay on the main roads and avoid straying into the wild land to prevent unexpected encounters.

#### Tips for the journey:
– Keep an eye out for minerals along the way, especially near the road to the left of the Trader’s Expanse marked on your map. You can find Bloodstone, Azure, and Scolecite Ore here.

Once you arrive at the designated area, you’ll notice several plateaus extending over the water past Varnia Gate. On one of the lower plateaus, a pack of lions is led by a large white lion—this is the creature you need to kill for the necklace. However, this enemy is a Legendary Animal and challenging to defeat.

### Defeating the White Lion

If your gear is low level, try to isolate the White Lion from the pack. You can do this by shooting it with an arrow and then retreating quickly, hoping it will chase after you. This way, you can fight it alone. Sometimes, the White Lion may wander away to the north, but it’s unpredictable because it stays close to its pack of normal lions. If other lions come your way, focus on taking them out first—they deal decent damage and can stun you if they land multiple dash attacks.

Weapons with good crowd control, like the Tauria Curved Sword or Darkbringer, work well here. Their heavy attack abilities can handle groups by attacking multiple enemies simultaneously. The White Lion, even though it’s not a boss, can hit hard, especially if you’re underleveled and trying to get the necklace early.

After defeating the White Lion, approach its body and skin it to get the White Lion Necklace, which can be worn anytime. You will also find a rare Diamond mineral deposit nearby, useful for upgrading gear.

How to Complete the Alabaster Curved Sword in Crimson Desert

There are many weapons and armor pieces to find in Crimson Desert. Some are part of the main quests, but others can be missed because they’re hidden around the world.

One of these items is the Alabaster Curved Sword. It’s a sturdy one-handed sword you can pick up early in the game if you don’t mind spending a lot of time on your horse.

Alabaster Curved Sword Location

To find the Alabaster Curved Sword, head northwest into the Crimson Desert area. It’s in Urdavah Province, just above the Forebearer’s Barrens. Specifically, mark your map just over the B in Forebearer’s on the map.

Before setting out, make sure you have the Visione helmet unlocked. This helmet lets you see memories and is gained after exploring the Lioncrest Watchtower in Hernand. Once you have it, hop on your horse and follow your map marker.

Be aware, Crimson Desert isn’t the safest area to fight enemies if you’re just starting out or haven’t leveled up Kliff much. It’s best to avoid combat whenever possible, as you don’t need to fight to get the sword. Also, try to have at least 5 Fire Resistance to prevent the heat from draining your stamina.

When you arrive at your destination, look for a large circular sandpit with a big rock circle in the middle. Cross the sand by hopping on the rocks, because the ground is quicksand, which pulls you under if you run across it normally.

Once on the platform, use your lantern to walk around the edge until you find a memory fragment. Watch the ghosts until you automatically gain the Visione and see the memory. The memory hints that some treasure was hidden here. After it ends, use your lantern to locate two buried spots on the ground—the sword and a small silver pouch.

Look for small glowing columns of energy, then interact with the ground at those spots. Surprisingly, you won’t need a shovel. Kliff will dig with his hands. Don’t forget to open the silver pouch in your inventory to collect the money inside.

Additional Details

The Alabaster Curved Sword is a good single-handed weapon with 16 Attack Power, Refinement Level 2, and three Abyss Gear slots. It doesn’t have any special moves or properties, like increased Critical Rate, so it’s mostly a visual choice unless you like how it looks.

Most weapons deal similar damage, but some, like the Acria Sword, have a default Critical Rate of 1. That makes certain weapons better against tough enemies. Still, the Alabaster Curved Sword can work well as a backup weapon if you’re dual-wielding swords. To improve its performance, add Abyss Gear like Attack Speed and Critical Rate.
