How Many Chapters Are in 007 First Light and Completing the Game?

“007 First Light” is the latest game from IO Interactive, telling the story of how James Bond became the secret agent known worldwide through books and movies. In this game, you’ll explore exotic places, take on various villains, use impressive gadgets, and jump into intense gunfights.

Mixing the open-ended gameplay of Hitman with the action and adventure style of Uncharted, “007 First Light” offers a straightforward but highly fun experience from beginning to end. However, at a price of $70, it can be hard to decide whether to buy a new game right when it releases. If you’re wondering what kind of content “007 First Light” offers and how long it takes to finish, here’s what you need to know.

    ### How Long Does It Take To Beat?

If you’re only interested in the main story, it will take around 12 to 14 hours depending on your skill. Your speed can vary more if you choose a higher difficulty level like Purist, which is the hardest setting. This mode makes enemies tougher and requires more precise combat skills.

Most players will likely finish the campaign in about 15 hours or less on normal difficulty. As you progress, unlocks like the TacSim mode become available. This mode functions as a challenge replay, where you complete specific objectives in combat and stealth scenarios to improve your score. Doing well here grants new cosmetics, gear, and weapons for continued play. It’s a fun way to keep busy if you enjoy the game’s stealth and combat parts.

    ### How Long Does It Take To 100%?

There are two ways to get all the achievements in “007 First Light.” If you’re only going for the trophies, it will add about 4 to 5 extra hours. Collecting all trophies isn’t too difficult; many can be earned in one playthrough, especially if you follow guides for finding collectibles.

The other way involves completing all challenges, including TacSim challenges and special actions during fights. These are relatively simple but will take around 10 to 15 more hours. Each level has optional challenges, like taking alternate routes or causing specific events, which aren’t needed for trophies but are necessary if you want to fully complete the game.

    ### How Many Chapters Are There?

“007 First Light” has 17 main chapters. Their lengths can vary from just a few minutes to about 15-20 minutes, depending on how much you explore. You can return to any chapter or sub-chapter through the main menu if you want to replay certain parts without spoiling the story.

Here is the list of main chapter titles:

    1. Against The Odds
    2. In His Majesty’s Secret Service
    3. The Needle’s Eye
    4. The Heart Of The Matter
    5. A New Home
    6. A Night Out
    7. A Matter Of Considerable Delicacy
    8. All The Time In The World
    9. Out Of The Ashes

    12. Knightfall
    13. Going Old School
    14. Time To Die
    15. Man Of The Hour
    16. Wave Of The Future

  • How Many Chapters Are in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book? Completing and Solving Secrets

How Many Chapters Are in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book? Completing and Solving Secrets

Unlike the main Mario games, Yoshi titles tend to be shorter. They are aimed at younger players, with simpler gameplay mechanics, and are often played in quick sessions.

Yoshi And The Mysterious Book follows this tradition, although it offers plenty of collectibles that might keep you busy longer than a quick playthrough.

How Long Does It Take To Beat?

Yoshi And The Mysterious Book isn’t a very long game. Most of what you see will be uncovered during your first run through each level, with little additional content beyond that.

You could complete the entire game in about 20 hours. If you focus solely on rushing to the end without replaying levels, it could take closer to 12-15 hours.

How Long To 100% The Game?

Getting everything in the game is a bigger challenge, but not overly demanding. All major collectibles, like the Smiley Flowers, are available from your first run of each level. Since Yoshi has no new abilities, you can collect them all on your initial playthrough.

If you manage to collect every Smiley Flower in your first run, it adds only a few extra hours—around 30 hours total.

The most time-consuming part is finding all the Discoveries for every creature. While you can complete these in one session, some are missable and may require multiple attempts. Because of that, full 100% completion is estimated to take around 40 hours.

    How Many Chapters Are There?

Since the game is styled as a book and takes place inside one, it has neatly contained chapters. There are a total of 12 chapters, which are:

    • Chapter 1 – Wildwoods
    • Chapter 2 – Mountaintops
    • Chapter 3 – Seaside
    • Chapter 4 – Settled Valley
    • Chapter 5 – Bug Country
    • Chapter 6 – Remote Isle
    • Chapter 7 – Underground
    • Chapter 8 – Tallest Of Trees
    • Chapter 9 – Miniworld
    • Chapter 10 – Moon
    • Chapter 11 – Special Studies
    • Chapter 12 – Mr. E’s Challenges

These chapters are unlocked in groups of three. Once unlocked, they can be played in any order, with the last two being bonus chapters that don’t follow the main story.

Completing Every Chapter in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book: A Guide

As the name suggests, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is about running through the pages of Mr. E. and discovering the many creatures listed in his pages.

Just like in real life, there are lots of creatures to find, and many chapters to hold them. Mr. E. is a very detailed book with plenty of chapters for you to explore.

    How Many Chapters Are There?

There are a total of 12 chapters for you to explore. Each one is completely unique, and it’s rare for them to share the same main creatures as other chapters.

However, you’ll see many creatures appear in multiple chapters over time. For example, Crayzee Dayzee and Bunchabee are quite common. When they reappear in later chapters, they often interact with new creatures introduced there.

Can You Play The Chapters In Any Order?

Yoshi completing a level with three big flowers in Yoshi and Mysterious Book.

When reading a book, you wouldn’t usually flip through pages randomly or skip sections just to get to the exciting parts. It’s similar in the game. Mr. E is a book with several chapters, and you can jump into any of the chapters you’ve unlocked at any time.

This isn’t exactly skipping chapters but playing them in your preferred order. Ultimately, all of them need to be completed for the story to move forward and for the later chapters to unlock. But yes, you can finish Chapter One and then immediately go to Chapter Six if you have the Discovery Level to do so.

Note that Chapters seven through ten are also available, but the first six must be finished before you can access them.

Every Chapter And How To Unlock Them

The list of the first 6 chapters in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book as seen in Mr. E.

Unlocking new chapters in the game is quite straightforward, although you can accelerate the process if you’re eager. As you discover more creatures, you earn discoveries. The more discoveries you make, the more chapters you unlock.

To speed things up, you can focus on learning everything about creatures in a specific chapter to unlock the next chapters faster.

The following is a list of all the chapters in the game, along with the number of discoveries needed to unlock each one:

    Chapter

    Discovery Level Needed to Unlock

    Chapter 1: Wildwoods

    Start with this one

    Chapter 2: Mountaintops

    ???

    Chapter 3: Seaside

    Approximately 60-70 discoveries

    Chapter 4: Settled Valley

    114 discoveries

    Chapter 5: Bug Country

    167 discoveries

    Chapter 6: Remote Isle

    218 discoveries

    Chapter 7: Underground

Finish the first six chapters and make 285 discoveries

    Chapter 8: Tallest Of Trees

    Chapter 11: Special Studies

Finish the first ten chapters and make 717 discoveries

    Chapter 12: Mr. E’s Challenges

Finish the first ten chapters and make 999 discoveries

After finishing all ten chapters, you can finally see the game’s true ending and know you’ve experienced everything the game has to offer. Now, it’s time for the post-game to begin!

  • How Many Chapters Are in Mafia: The Old Country? Completing and Solving Guide

How Many Chapters Are in Mafia: The Old Country? Completing and Solving Guide

Much discussion has surrounded Mafia: The Old Country since its announcement. The developers at Hangar 13 were clear that this game would be smaller and more focused than previous entries. This led many to wonder how much gameplay time the game would offer.

Those worried that The Old Country would be brief were wrong. The game includes various collectibles to find if you want to spend extra time in Sicily beyond your first playthrough. Here’s how long it takes to complete Enzo’s story.

How Long Does It Take To Complete?

Many fans initially thought that the game, launched at a lower price and without an open-world format, would be short. However, this isn’t true. According to HowLongToBeat, finishing the credits typically takes about 12 hours.

For comparison, this duration matches the length of the first two Mafia games. Mafia 3, however, took players around 20 hours to complete.

How Many Chapters Does It Have?

The game features 14 standard chapters, beginning with a prologue that introduces the main character, Enzo. On average, players can expect to complete one chapter per hour of gameplay. This structure gives the game a feel similar to a mini-series.

How Long Does It Take To 100 Percent?

Completing all optional content and collecting everything is straightforward, as Mafia’s experience is mostly linear. Achieving 100% completion usually takes over 20 hours, allowing players to enjoy even more of Mafia’s depiction of 20th-century Sicily.

  • What Are Pass Chapters in Rematch? Completing and Solving Explained

Like many multiplayer games these days, Rematch features a battle pass. Instead of offering weapons or combat gear, this pass provides a variety of cosmetic items for your character. You can earn many rewards for free, but if you’re looking to unlock everything, you’ll need to buy an Upgrade Ticket.

At first glance, the battle pass aligns with what you’d expect in the gaming industry, but Sloclap has added its own flair to the design. Here’s what you need to know about progressing through the seasons in Rematch.

    Understanding Pass Chapters

When you enter the Season menu, you’ll see it is divided into three sections. A season typically lasts around 90 days, but Sloclap doesn’t allow access to all rewards immediately. Instead, the first chapter is available right away, while the remaining two will become accessible as the weeks progress.

This setup keeps the experience engaging throughout the season and prevents players from unlocking everything too quickly.

Once you open any section of the pass, you’ll find that rewards are arranged within nodes, giving you multiple paths to choose from. This allows you to focus on the items you want first. You’re not locked out of any options, so you can backtrack whenever you wish.

    Understanding Tier Tokens

To claim rewards from the pass, you need to use Tier Tokens, which you earn by gaining 1,750 XP. With enough tokens, you can unlock a tier on one of the nodes, or you can save them up to unlock an entire node at once.

You can keep accumulating Tier Tokens even after you’ve claimed all rewards in a chapter, allowing you to gear up for the next one.

Access to the free rewards is exclusive unless you purchase a Captain Pass. This pass enables you to collect items marked with a yellow lock, and any items you’ve previously bought will be added retroactively to your customization options.

  • What’s the Chapter Count in Split Fiction?

What’s the Chapter Count in Split Fiction?

As with many of Hazelight’s past games, Split Fiction features a mostly straightforward narrative journey, sprinkled with a few optional adventures off the main path. You can find side stories, extra dialogues, and some charming easter eggs along the way, but there aren’t many collectibles to gather as you work your way to the end.

However, thanks to its combination of lengthy levels, diverse mechanics, and challenging boss fights, finishing Split Fiction can still take a significant amount of time, especially if you aim for that elusive 100 percent completion. Here’s what to expect in terms of game length.

How Long To Complete The Main Story

Completing the main storyline of Split Fiction took us around 12 hours with two players of similar skill levels. This game is best enjoyed with family or friends, especially those new to gaming.

This means your actual time commitment could vary greatly based on who you’re playing with and their game experience. For instance, our editor-in-chief, Stacey Henley, clocked in at about 25 hours, which is significantly longer than what we predict most players will experience.

While we typically include How Long To Beat averages, that data wasn’t available during the editing of this piece.

This game offers a blend of platforming, combat, and boss encounters throughout each level, making it longer than both A Way Out and It Takes Two.

How Long To Complete All Side Stories

Neon Revenge scene from Split Fiction

Split Fiction includes a total of 12 side stories, which are optional levels integrated into the main narrative and each brings you to unique settings with their own gameplay elements. You’ll need to seek these out on your own, often requiring some minor platforming or puzzle-solving, but the game doesn’t conceal them.

Keep an ear out for conversations between Mio and Zoe, as they often hint that a side story is nearby, encouraging exploration.

In terms of duration, we didn’t find any side story taking more than 15 minutes to wrap up. Therefore, if you aim to explore them all in a single run, plan on adding a solid couple of hours to your total playtime.

How Long To Achieve 100% Completion

Mio and Zoe transforming into fantasy creatures in Split Fiction

To finish Split Fiction including its main story and side adventures, expect to spend about 15 hours or so for most players, depending on the skills of those involved. Additionally, there are several unique trophies throughout the game that require you to complete specific tasks.

These trophies can be easily overlooked, and although the game doesn’t track them for your completion percentage, you need them to earn the Platinum Trophy. Fortunately, Split Fiction has a user-friendly chapter select feature, allowing you to revisit any level and checkpoint you’ve completed. It takes about an hour to go back and experience everything the game has to offer.

  • Total Chapters in Monster Hunter Wilds: A Complete Breakdown

Total Chapters in Monster Hunter Wilds: A Complete Breakdown

In many Monster Hunter titles, the storyline often serves as a backdrop. It sets the environment and provides a general theme, but players don’t typically engage deeply with it. However, Monster Hunter Wilds aims to change that by presenting a captivating narrative that’s enjoyable to follow. While this increased focus on story does come with a bit more guidance, it results in a more substantial plot.

This richer storyline leads to a lengthier campaign compared to previous installments in the series, meaning it might take some time before you can dive into the core gameplay at High Rank. If you’re eager to know where you stand, here’s the breakdown of main quests available in the game.

How Many Main Quests Are There In Low Rank?

As with other titles in the series, Monster Hunter Wilds divides its gameplay into Low and High Rank. The bulk of the narrative unfolds during the Low Rank section, which is quite extensive this time. The game consists of several chapters, each having multiple segments that include numerous missions.

Below is the breakdown of missions and segments per chapter in Low Rank:

    Chapter 1

    Chapter 2

    Chapter 3

    Part 1

    1 mission

    2 missions

    2 missions

    Part 2

    Part 3

    Part 4

    2 missions

    2 missions

    2 missions

    Part 5

    2 missions

    N/A

    2 missions

This indicates that the Low Rank storyline features three chapters with a total of 14 segments and 29 missions. It’s an extensive journey that will allow you to explore nearly all of the Forbidden Lands.

Keep in mind that main missions, referred to as Assignments, cannot be replayed. If you miss any, there’s no going back.

How Many Main Quests Are There In High Rank?

Monster Hunter Wilds large white tree in Wyveria.

However, the adventure doesn’t conclude with Low Rank. Once you transition to High Rank, a new set of missions is unlocked, spanning Chapters 4-6. These missions are now tied to your Hunter Rank, requiring you to achieve certain levels to unlock each mission. Let’s take a look at the mission count:

    Chapter 4

    Chapter 6

    Part 1

    2 missions

    3 missions

    2 missions

    Part 2

    3 missions

    N/A

    Part 3

    3 missions

    1 mission

    N/A

The High Rank storyline is considerably more concise than its Low Rank counterpart, consisting of three chapters but containing a total of only 17 missions. Though it’s shorter, it still provides a substantial experience.

Progression through these chapters is tied to your Hunter Rank, with the following requirements for each chapter:

    • Chapter 4 – Rank 15
    • Chapter 5 – Rank 20
    • Chapter 6 – Rank 40

The parts within each chapter also require a higher Hunter Rank, but you’ll have access to everything once you hit Hunter Rank 40.

Fortunately, the world opens up completely by the time you reach High Rank, allowing you to explore extensively, conduct investigations, and engage with new monsters at your preferred pace while improving your Hunter Rank to access endgame missions.

How Many Main Quests Are There In Total?

Arkveld glowing red up close in Monster Hunter Wilds.

All Monster Hunter games feature a storyline, yet none have been as expansive as Monster Hunter Wilds. Even the shorter High Rank campaign feels comparable to the entire narratives of previous entries, while Low Rank provides a significantly greater amount of gameplay. So, how does it all add up?

    • Low Rank – Three Chapters, 14 Parts, and 29 Missions.
    • High Rank – Three Chapters, 7 Parts, and 17 Missions.

Putting it all together, that amounts to six Chapters, 21 Parts, and 46 Missions in total. It’s a solid length that can take around 20-25 hours to complete. While it may not match the duration of many modern titles, it’s significantly longer than the storylines found in earlier Monster Hunter games.
