Digital Phablet – Joseph Attieh breaks his silence on his relationship status.
Lebanese singer Joseph Attieh has officially announced that he is in love, ending months of speculation about his romantic life during an open interview with ET Bil Arabi before his performance at the Beirut Holidays Festival. This revelation comes after over a year and a half of persistent questions concerning his personal life, making it one of the most talked-about moments in Lebanon’s entertainment scene.
The interview started off with a light tone, as host Nada Akiki displayed clips from previous ET Bil Arabi interviews, reminding him of his earlier promise to reveal his relationship when the timing was right. Smiling, Attieh finally kept his word, stating simply, “It’s settled,” confirming that he is now dating someone. When pressed for more details, however, he chuckled and chose not to disclose any further information about his partner.
Just hours before stepping onto the stage at the Beirut Holidays Festival, Attieh made his relationship official. His concert drew a full house after all tickets were sold out. The show drew extra attention as Miss Lebanon Perla Harb was seated in the front row. During the performance, Attieh seemed genuinely surprised to see her there, greeting her warmly from the stage by saying, “Miss Lebanon is here? Hi Perla… I really didn’t know… I was surprised.”
Prior to the concert, Nada Akiki jokingly asked if Attieh felt more nervous knowing someone he cares about was watching him perform. The singer avoided diving into his personal life, instead expressing his excitement to engage with the audience and his anticipation for the show.
During the event, Perla Harb also spoke with ET Bil Arabi, revealing that one of her favorite songs performed that night was “Maghroum” (“In Love”), which she has loved since its release. She praised Attieh’s stage presence and noted that his concerts improve each year, expressing her happiness to have attended.
The night was more than just musical performances. Members of Attieh’s family joined in the celebration, dancing traditional Lebanese dabke and creating an inviting, familial environment throughout the evening. A particularly touching moment occurred when Attieh noticed his mother cheering enthusiastically after each song. Smiling, he shared with the crowd that seeing her pride after every performance always moves him, highlighting the emotional connection he has with her.
Furthermore, during the event, Attieh jokingly quipped to Harb, “It’s been a while since I saw you… about two hours,” sparking lively reactions from the audience and fueling curiosity about their relationship.
This confirmation has reignited discussions around previous rumors linking Attieh to Harb. Earlier this year, both publicly denied being romantically involved, insisting they are just friends with mutual respect and acquaintances. Their earlier statements aimed to quash the widespread gossip circulating on social media.
Although Attieh now openly admits to being in love, he has chosen to keep his partner’s identity private. For the time being, he seems focused on his music, allowing his fans to enjoy his happiness and celebrating yet another successful performance at Beirut Holidays.
