    Taylor Swift announces a new album. During an episode of the New Heights podcast on August 12, the singer discussed her upcoming 12th album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. The show was hosted by her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, along with his brother Jason Kelce.

    “I’ve got something to show you,” Taylor shared in a video posted on Instagram. In the clip, she pulls a vinyl record out of a bright green bag; however, the album cover is blurry. Her website indicates that the cover art will be revealed at a later time.

    In her note on the website, she adds, “This isn’t the official release date.” Pre-orders are expected to be shipped before October 13, with the official release date to be announced later.

    This marks her twelfth album, following The Tortured Poets Department, which was released over a year ago. That album featured tracks like “So High School” and “The Alchemy,” inspired by her relationship with Travis.
