How To Dispatch Missions at Greymane Camp in Crimson Desert Using Completing and Solving

As the Greymanes begin to grow again in Crimson Desert, Bustling Hill becomes available as the 45th main quest in Chapter 3’s “Pioneering” sub-chapter. At first, you’ll only have two faction members at the Greymane camp to assign, but this quest marks the first time the game lets you manage the camp mission system directly.

This guide will walk you through every step of the Bustling Hill quest, from accessing the mission menu to passing the time while your teammates handle tasks for you.

How to Start the Bustling Hill Camp Expansion

Once you finish reading the letter from the dragon head at Howling Hill during the previous quest, “A Gentle Touch,” the Bustling Hill quest begins automatically. Your goal is to send Greymane members to complete the Howling Hill Camp Expansion mission. Marius plans to expand the camp’s capacity while Kliff oversees larger strategies.

Inspecting Howling Hill to Dispatch Allies

First, open your map and navigate to the Howling Hill camp. Zoom in and hover your cursor over the camp until a panel appears on the left side. When the prompt shows at the bottom of the map, press Triangle or Y (or double-click on PC) to view camp information.

Make sure you’re properly hovering over the camp—your map icon for Howling Hill should appear slightly raised. If nothing happens, move your cursor a little and try again. After a quick zoom-in transition, a new interface will appear with four tabs at the top-left corner. Use R1 or RB to switch to the “Missions” tab, where you’ll see the “Howling Hill Camp Expansion” listed as the only available mission.

    Choosing and Sending Your Teammates

Select the “Howling Hill Camp Expansion” to view full details. This mission requires exactly two comrades, which is perfect since Luke and Ronald are your only available Freeswords at this point.

Before dispatching, take a moment to review each teammate’s skills. Luke has the Construction skill, which directly improves the effectiveness of this type of mission. Pairing skills with mission types makes a noticeable difference in results.

Once you’ve chosen your teammates, send them off by pressing F (keyboard) or Square/X (controller). The mission will now run in the background, allowing you to continue exploring or completing other tasks.

Waiting for the Mission to Complete

The Camp Expansion takes about 18 in-game hours to finish. An in-game day is roughly two hours in real life, so this isn’t an instant process. You can speed up the wait by:

    • Resting at camp: Sleep in your tent at Howling Hill to skip up to 12 hours.
    • Resting at a bonfire: Any bonfire in the world can be used for rest if you’re away from camp.
    • Playing normally: The mission continues even while you do side quests, trade, or explore.

Remember, the maximum rest duration is 12 hours, so multiple rests or combining resting with active gameplay may be necessary to cover the full time.

When the timer ends, you’ll get a pop-up notification confirming the mission’s completion. Your allies return to camp, and you can go back to Howling Hill to see the expanded camp in action.

How to Dispatch Missions in the Future

Completing Bustling Hill unlocks the full mission dispatch system in Crimson Desert, allowing you to send allies on various missions for faction experience, money, and materials.

You have two main options for managing missions:

    • Via the map: Open the map, hover over locations, and select “Inspect” to view available missions nearby. This is useful when exploring and wanting quick access to local missions.
    • Via Ross at camp: Return to the Greymane camp and find Ross on the west side of the main road. As the Base Camp Dispatch Coordinator, talking to him provides a comprehensive list of current missions, making it faster to dispatch efficiently.

Keep an eye on missions related to the “Grounds of the Sunrise” storyline, as they influence your camp’s progression throughout the game.

  • How to Effectively Manage Your Camp in Crimson Desert Using Completing and Solving

How to Effectively Manage Your Camp in Crimson Desert Using Completing and Solving

The Greymane camp at Howling Hill is one of the most rewarding long-term features in Crimson Desert. It offers many activities that aren’t fully explained at the start. What begins as a few tents on a windy hill gradually becomes an independent settlement. It can produce food, silver, crafting materials, and even rare gear—all while you’re exploring Pywel. If you’ve been using your camp only as a quick stop between story missions, you’re missing out on a lot.

Here’s everything you need to know about starting and managing your Greymane camp: how to set up Howling Hill, who to recruit first, how to handle dispatches efficiently, and how to keep expansions progressing without running out of resources.

    ### Setting Up the Greymane Camp

The camp becomes available during Chapter 3: Homestead, after meeting Marius—an old teammate who’s been barely holding things together—and receiving a land grant from Marquis Serkis of House Hernand. From there, you’ll follow a guardsman south of Hernand Town to Howling Hill and complete the “A Fresh Start” quest.

This process involves moving supply sacks, pushing a wagon, driving stakes into the ground, and raising the Greymane banner. Although it sounds simple and maybe even boring, finishing this officially establishes your camp and unlocks Damiane as a playable character.

There’s also a quick cooking lesson for Modest Clear Soup at a nearby pot before escorting Marius back. This introduces food mechanics and many recipes you’ll rely on throughout the game.

Once the camp is set up, your first step should be activating the Abyss Nexus fast travel point in the north part of the settlement. It becomes available after Chapter 4, and having it allows you to quickly return to Howling Hill without interrupting your exploration.

    ### The People Running Your Camp

After establishing your base, two key characters join immediately: Carl and Ross. They are the most important NPCs you’ll interact with daily.

Carl manages the provisions. Located near the camp’s supply chest, you can donate resources to him to keep the camp’s supplies topped up. You can also access the provisions system through him, where you’ll manually contribute materials.

Ross is your Dispatch Coordinator. All missions you send out run through him. As your system becomes fully active, Ross is the NPC you’ll see most often when you return to camp, so check in with him regularly.

Marius oversees the camp overall and is your main contact for expanding Howling Hill. He gives out new quests for expanding and recruiting as you develop the settlement and is the person to talk to when you’re ready to push the camp further.

Other NPCs, like Eric the barber and Oliver the dye merchant (who are key for character customization), as well as various faction vendors, become available as you complete faction quests and advance through the main story.

    ### Don’t Skip Greymane Faction Quests

Although not essential for the main story, the Grounds of the Sunrise quest chain in your Journal—under “Faction Quests” for the Greymanes—is one of the most important. Every building, new recruit slot, and overall camp expansion is locked behind it.

    #### Greymane Commissions

These are small requests from Greymane members living at camp. They often serve as brief tutorials for new mechanics or merchants. Completing each grants a Medium Bag, increasing your inventory by three slots. There are 27 commissions in total, so finishing them can net you up to 81 extra inventory slots—crucial for managing all your loot in Crimson Desert.

    #### Rumor Missions

These are recruitment quests that bring new comrades to your camp. You can grow your roster to nearly 40 Greymanes, which unlocks more dispatch missions simultaneously. Always complete these when they become available to strengthen your camp.

    ### Dispatch Missions: The Heart of the Camp’s Growth

Dispatch missions are how your camp earns resources. Through Ross, you send Greymanes on various missions to gather supplies, generate silver, clear enemies from regions, or advance building projects—all automatically, so you can focus on other things.

Each mission requires certain conditions like the number of comrades, specific skills, and sometimes resources like food or silver. You’ll mostly run:
    – Production missions: to gather food, timber, ore, and crafting materials.
    – Combat or suppression missions: to reduce enemy activity and unlock trade benefits or new areas.
    – Construction missions: directly related to upgrading your camp.
    – Rumor missions: for recruiting new Greymanes.

Matching the right skill to the mission increases efficiency and rewards. For example, a Builder is essential for construction tasks, while a Hunter performs best gathering food.

To manage missions, open the Map, find the camp icon, and select “Inspect” (Y on Xbox, Triangle on PS5, or double-click on PC). From there, go to the Mission tab, assign your Greymanes, and start. Traveling to the mission site allows you to see them in action, which can be useful to check progress.

    ### Expanding Howling Hill

Expanding the camp isn’t done through a menu but through quests and dispatches linked directly to the story. Progression depends on your current chapter and available resources.

    The key expansion milestones include:

    | Expansion | Requirements | Key Unlocks |
    |———————-|——————————————–|————————————————|
    | 1st (Bustling Hill) | 2 recruits, 100 food, 250 silver | Dispatch system, new recruit slots, Marius unlocks new quests |
    | 2nd | More recruits, increased materials | Farm and Ranch construction unlocked |
    | 3rd | Further recruits and resources | Extra mission slots, facility upgrades |
    | 4th | 10 recruits, heavier material needs | Wagon, Hot Air Balloon, advanced crafting |
    | 5th+ | Late-game chapter unlock | Pailune rebuilds, Council, Institute |

The first expansion can trigger during Chapter 3, taking about 18 hours once dispatched. Each following tier needs more recruits and materials.

Once the farm and ranch unlock with the second expansion, build the farm first and start the “Apple Trees” mission. Trees take real time to grow, so plant early, and queue the Ranch tutorial missions to have it ready once the trees mature.

By the fourth expansion, weapon and armor production slows down compared to raw materials, so funnel armaments into the camp supply early to avoid shortages.

    ### The Supply Chest and Resource Pool

Behind Carl, inside your camp tent, is the Private Storage supply chest. It receives all loot from missions and camp production. Make it a habit to check it regularly; resources there feed your crafting and cooking systems. Letting it overflow is wasteful.

If certain resources frequently run low, quick fixes include:
    – Food: Use the Sin Volt Ranch for over 50 pieces of quality meat per cycle—no need to hunt manually.
    – Silver: Locations like Thornbriar Food Storage, Sungrove Manor, Azerian Manor, and later Gorthak Ironworks for armaments.
    – Materials: Regularly convert loot through Carl and donate gear you don’t need instead of hoarding.

You can also package goods in the Trade Wagon (unlocked at the 4th expansion) to sell at trade posts. Building more wagons and watching the market prices helps maximize profits.

    ### Tips for Efficient Camp Management

Every time you return to Howling Hill, check your faction journal for new quests. Missing them for a few chapters can slow your progression without notice.

Be aware that merchants or NPCs can get sent out on dispatch missions accidentally. If an NPC disappears, verify active missions first—they’re likely out gathering resources.

Donations at church offering boxes can boost mission efficiency in nearby regions. Keep an eye out for these when planning your dispatches.

When waiting for missions or crafting, use the camp bed. Sleeping advances time by up to twelve hours, allowing you to skip waiting.

Finally, after Chapter 7, keep an eye on Pailune’s reconstruction. Building the Council and Institute provides your dispatched comrades with meaningful ongoing work and unlocks the most powerful production options. Though resource-heavy, by this stage, your camp should be generating enough resources if you’ve managed it well.

  • Completing the Wagon Push and Solving Stake Driving in Crimson Desert

Completing the Wagon Push and Solving Stake Driving in Crimson Desert

Like many RPG stories, Crimson Desert begins by having the main character experience a traumatic event where they lose everything. The first two chapters focus on Kliff earning back the trust of Hernand’s people and starting a new journey.

At the start of the third chapter, your earned trust allows you to secure a new Greymane camp during the quest “A Fresh Start.” After establishing the camp, you’ll need to complete various tasks to set it up. Some of these tasks can be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with the controls, so here’s how to do each one.

    How to Push the Wagon

After a cutscene that triggers the “A Fresh Start” quest, multiple orange circles will appear on your mini-map. These indicate tasks you need to complete. The closest circle shows where you need to push the wagon, but before that, you must clear some boulders blocking its path.

You should already have a pickaxe. If not, you can pick one up near a wooden pillar beside the boulders. Once the pickaxe is in your inventory, open your quick access wheel and go to the equipment tab. Switch through the items until the pickaxe appears.

This will equip the pickaxe in your hand. Use the focus mode to break the three boulders by attacking them. When a blue light appears on a boulder, hit attack, and your character will break it. After destroying all three boulders, push the wagon to its shaded spot to complete this task.

How to Drive in the Stakes

The next orange circle marks where you have to drive stakes into the ground. At the location, there’s a tent with four small wooden stakes sticking out. You’ll need a mallet, which you can pick up from a nearby table.

Equip the mallet the same way as the pickaxe. Use focus mode and hit each stake three times to drive it in. Once all four stakes are secure, this task will be finished.

    How to Move the Sacks

The third task involves moving sacks at your camp. Head to the next orange circle and use focus mode to pick up one of the sacks on the wooden platform there. Once you grab a sack, a new area will be marked. Drop the sack there.

You need to do this three times because there are three sacks. After all are moved, you will be ready for the final step of the quest.

    How to Raise the Banner

The last task is to raise the camp banner so everyone knows it belongs to you. Go to the final orange circle, where you’ll find the flag. Use your Nature’s Grasp ability to lift the flag into the air. Carefully carry it over to the pedestal, and it will automatically set in place.

Once the flag is secured, you can cancel the ability, completing this final camp task and moving on to the next main quest.

  • How to escape prison and refugee camp in GreedFall 2: Completing and solving

How to escape prison and refugee camp in GreedFall 2: Completing and solving

After waking up in a cell, you realize you’ve been captured along with two friends. Sadly, one of your companions dies, leaving the other hurt and upset. A stranger releases you from your cell, and after quickly gathering your clothes and belongings from a nearby chest, you all must find your way out through the tunnels and into the new land outside.

Once free from the prison, your next goal is to reach a refugee camp where more of your people are hiding. There, you’ll fight through enemies again, including a huge, terrifying creature, to escape and continue your journey.

    ### Prison Tunnels Walkthrough
To escape the tunnels under the prison, follow the main quest marker as closely as possible. Be sure to explore every dead-end and nook along the way because each area has loot and useful resources.

When you encounter the lit section of the excavation tunnels, you’ll face some giant crustaceans called majida, which are heavily armored and have strong claws. Fight them by sneaking behind each one while your teammate fights from the front. With two fighters attacking a majida, they’ll go down faster, and you’ll earn resources, gold, and experience points. Pull the lever to open the metal gates and advance into the Upper Sewers, where more majida await.

Proceed toward the quest marker, and when you reach another lever, activate it to open the next set of gates. To get through a locked gate further ahead, you’ll need to activate a lever outside the previous exit area, to the left of that gate.

In the Maintenance Zone, there are two main sections: an upper part with two working levers and one broken, plus a lower part with metal gates. When you go down into the lower section, guards will appear. Fight them off before moving ahead.

Once you’ve taken out the guards, check the levers at the top. The left lever should be pushed forward, the middle pulled back, and the third lever is stuck. You can fix the stuck lever with either lubrication or by using your mechanism skill. It’s often worth trying to fix it with your skill first—it might work on the first try. If it doesn’t, use the lubrication item found in a nearby chest to unstick it. Then activate the levers so that the first two are pushed forward and the third is pulled back to solve the puzzle.

Pulling these levers will trigger more enemies, so be prepared for a fight. After defeating the guards, exit the sewer by pulling the lever at the top of the stone steps, which will open the gate to Olima: Science Quarter.

    ### Refugee Camp Walkthrough
At the sewer exit, you’ll meet Ludwig, who should join your team. Your next task is to find Ludwig’s contact, a fisherman typically found by the river. When you look for him, he’s missing, and you’ll need to follow glowing tracks to discover what happened.

Following the tracks leads to a bandit camp with a wooden cabin. Speak with the bandit leader and pretend you’re helping to find treasure when negotiating the release of the fisherman. Sneak behind the cabin to eliminate a lone guard—who has the key to the cabin—and use that key to free the prisoner.

Escape the camp without being detected to complete this part of the quest. The fisherman then takes you to the refugee camp, where you meet Ladan. She tries to draw energy from the sick Earth, but because it’s weakened, she transforms into a monstrous creature called Nadaig Gigelas, which has a huge claw and over 5,700 health plus a shield. The creature uses ground-slamming and sweeping attacks, so it’s best to fight from afar or run in briefly for hits before retreating when it attacks.

During the fight, the creature may smash the ground multiple times, causing boulders to fall, or grab nearby pillars to use them as weapons. Once the health depletes, a cutscene triggers where you and your team must run to escape, dodging falling boulders that appear as red circles on the ground.

In the final stretch, you’ll encounter more majida and pull a lever at the top of stone steps to open the gate, leading you out of the sewer into Uxantis, home to the Nauts. Your adventure continues beyond this point.

  • Completing Your Escape from the Hunters’ Camp in Koira

Completing Your Escape from the Hunters’ Camp in Koira

In the game Koira, despite being an adorable cat with a loyal dog by your side, dangers loom in the form of wild boar packs and hunters. Your first encounter with these hunters results in the capture of your dog, compelling you to rescue him.

Navigating the hunters’ camp is crucial, as you must avoid being detected while you search for your dog. To succeed, you’ll need to distract the guards, conceal yourself effectively, and move wisely. Let’s guide you step by step through this challenge.

    Getting Through the First Gate

You will wake up surrounded by radiant mushrooms. Start by moving to the right and following the path among the trees. After a short distance, turn left at the gate and head down to touch the mushroom next to the fallen tree. This action will awaken other nearby mushrooms, clearing a path directly ahead. Simply follow the route to the right, and a giant mushroom creature will shift aside to let you pass.

    Stealth Against the Hunters

As you continue, you’ll encounter a hunter’s camp up ahead. To avoid being spotted, wait until the hunter walks away, then dive into the barrel he passes by. Use X on PlayStation or A on Xbox to hide.

Timing is key here: jump out of the barrel just as the hunter walks by.

Once he’s out of sight, hop out of the barrel and make your way right to the next section of the camp.

Now, you’ll need to navigate through another part of the camp. Move towards the right and approach the dogs in their pen to alert them.

The hunter will head toward the barking dogs. As soon as he starts to move, slip into the camp where he initially was and hide in the box until he walks past. After he returns to his original post, quickly jump out and head up and to the right. You will step on some twigs, which might catch the hunters’ attention, so keep running and dodge their grasp to reach the final part of the camp.

    Escaping the Tent

Inside the tent, there’s a hunter you’ll need to bypass. You can remain unseen in the dark corners, so find a shadowy spot and wait for the hunter to go by. Once he passes, dash to the far end of the tent. You’ll spot your dog in a cage, but first, you need to secure the key hanging in the tent.

Keep in mind, you can’t grab the key during your first visit to the tent.

Grab a snowball and head back inside the tent. Use the same sneaky approach to evade the hunter again, then throw your snowball at the hanging key. Once the key drops, retrieve it and exit the tent.

Be careful; the hunter may pick up the key if it lands too close to him, but you can retrieve it from the darkness.

Now, unlock the gate outside to reach the area where your dog is imprisoned.

    Rescuing Your Dog

Interact with the cage, and musical notes will begin to appear to your left. Follow the paths to a large red structure, and when a circle prompt appears, stand in it and press the circle button on PlayStation or B on Xbox to sing. This will grant you a special ability to break obstacles, so head back to the dog’s cage.

Use your new power to smash the cage and free your dog. He may be startled at first, but approach him gently and press B or circle to soothe him.

Once the next group of hunters leaves, have your dog clear the path so both of you can escape and continue your adventure.
