  • Using Lyle’s Fading Bond to Completing Challenges in Code Vein 2

Using Lyle’s Fading Bond to Completing Challenges in Code Vein 2

After defeating the One-Armed Hero Lyle at Forward Base One, you notice that his Fading Bond still exists, showing that you can return to his era and change things. However, this bond is currently too weak to be used. Even a more emotionally-connected item won’t be enough this time. Lou tells you that you need to find Lyle in another era and change history from there. That’s her only hint, but it’s enough to get you moving.

Travel to the Free Exploration Era. Usually, this time period doesn’t have much story, but this is an exception. After visiting a hero’s era, they usually appear as partners with quests in MagMell, but Lyle hasn’t reached that point yet. Instead, head to Forward Base One. This era is set after Lyle’s era but before the Upheaval, giving a small window before he disappears.

When you arrive, you’ll see Lyle standing in the ruins, mourning his family. Your return gives him some motivation. He says he’ll build a memorial for his friends before leaving, and he hopes you’ll visit to pay respects. The quest won’t update in your journal now, but it does once you go back to the Present Era and return to Forward Base One. There, a new bond appears, and you can interact with a small memorial for the Dawn Chorus. Interacting with it allows you to go back to Lyle’s era.

    —

After returning to Lyle’s era, you’re tasked with meeting the Dawn Chorus members, who are still in Pioneer Castle. They have sent Lyle on a mission to the Great Sealed Mine to find the cause of strange happenings in the region. You set out to help him, with Craig insisting on coming along as your partner.

In this section, Craig can’t be deployed as a partner and remains Assimilated, giving you bonus damage. In the mines, you meet with Lyle, who continues his investigation, while you and Craig do your own exploring. You find letters from the late Queen Imogen—Craig’s mother—which explain her exile and reveal the evil lurking beneath the Corroded Scar.

Along the way, you experience flashbacks until reaching the end, where you see Queen Imogen, now clearly losing her mind from years of holding back the regional threat. At this point, Lyle joins you as a partner, while Craig returns to Pioneer Castle to help defend it from an ambush by Gobbo and his forces.

    —

To defeat Pioneer Queen Imogen, if you’ve already fought a version of her during the Free Exploration Era, this battle will feel familiar but more intense. The full version of the fight takes place now. Imogen mostly fights at close range, using some projectiles and circling moves to keep you on your toes, requiring proactive defense.

For ranged players, the Bayonet can be useful thanks to its long-range attack options and bullets. Lyle is also helpful, dealing significant damage and building up stagger, making it easier to defeat her. Once she’s defeated, Craig returns to say they defended Pioneer Castle successfully, with most of the ambush wiped out thanks to a sudden earthquake.

As a reward, you get Craig as a summoned partner, the Blood Code of Pioneer Queen Imogen, and the ability to fight Hero Lyle in the Present Era.

  • Which Characters You Can Romance in Hades & How to Complete Their Bonds

Which Characters You Can Romance in Hades & How to Complete Their Bonds

Building relationships with the NPCs in Hades is a rewarding part of the game. As you interact with characters, you can give them gifts like Nectar, Ambrosia, or complete Favors to strengthen your bonds. Giving a Keepsake, for example, allows you to max out their Bond rank. These relationships involve various mythological figures, including legendary warriors, Olympian gods, and even Death personified. However, only a few characters—namely Thanatos, Megaera, and Dusa—offer the chance for romantic connections.

In the original game, you can romance three characters: Megaera, Thanatos, and Dusa. While you can improve your friendship with others like Nyx or Achilles, romantic options are limited to those three. Feel free to romance all three simultaneously; there are no penalties for pursuing multiple relationships at once.

    Starting Megaera’s Romance Path
To build a romance with Megaera, you need to defeat her as the final boss in Tartarus. Afterward, she begins appearing in the House of Hades, where you can interact with her, give Nectar, and raise her Bond level. The process is straightforward: gift her Nectar to start her Bond, then continue giving her five more Nectar over time. Once Bond reaches +6, you’ll need to complete her Favour before progressing further. Later, you’ll exchange Ambrosia for her maximum Bond (+10). At that point, you’ll get a private conversation option, allowing you to choose to pursue a romance route—select “Go To Her” for romance or “Ease Off” if you prefer friendship without consequences.

How to Increase Megaera’s Bond and Complete Her Favour

    • Gift her Nectar after defeating her for the first time.
    • Repeat giving Nectar to increase her Bond until +6.
    • Complete Megaera’s Favour, which involves making sure she receives her items from Zagreus and keeps appearing in the lounge.
    • After her Favour, start gifting Ambrosia to deepen the bond, ultimately reaching +10.
    • During the final interaction, select “Go To Her” to pursue the romantic path.

    Starting Thanatos’ Romance Path
Thanatos can be romanced after you defeat Megaera’s sisters in Tartarus. He appears randomly in Elysium afterward. You can gift him Nectar once a run or in the House of Hades. To build his Bond, give him Nectar repeatedly until Bond +6, then complete his Favour by defeating him in a challenge. Following that, give him Ambrosia to reach Bond +10. When the final conversation occurs, you’ll decide whether to “Comfort Him” (romance) or “Ease Off.” Interestingly, if you’ve romanced Megaera too, both NPCs might appear together, offering an option for a polyamorous relationship.

    How to Unlock Thanatos’ Favour

    • Give him Nectar to reach Bond +6.
    • Complete his Favour, which involves winning a competition against him.
    • After completing his Favour, give him Ambrosia — the first for the “Mort” Keepsake, then more to max out the bond.

How to Start Dusa’s Romance Path
Dusa’s bond can be increased at any point by gifting Nectar in the House of Hades. Unlike Megaera and Thanatos, her path doesn’t rely on a specific trigger; it can start early in the game. However, progressing her bond involves more steps: unlock her Favour by completing renovations in the Lounge, then give her Ambrosia to raise her Bond to +10. When her relationship is maxed out, she offers to return the Ambrosia you gave, with no negative effects whether you take it back or let her keep it.

    Notes on Dusa’s Romance
Dusa is a disembodied Gorgon head, and her romantic route is more about friendship and platonic bonds. Some interpret her as possibly aromantic or asexual. The developers seem to prefer emphasizing the value of friendship without romantic expectations. Despite this, many fans cherish the close friendship between Dusa and Zagreus, and pursuing her relationship remains meaningful.

    Getting More Nectar and Ambrosia

    • Nectar can be obtained by visiting the Wretched Broker, exchanging five Cthonic Keys for one Nectar.
    • Ambrosia is available by trading Diamonds with the Broker—two Diamonds for one Ambrosia—or farming it through the Pact of Punishment by defeating the duo boss in Elysium multiple times. Increasing difficulty via the Pact yields better loot, including Ambrosia, without adding extra runs.

With these methods, you can efficiently build your friendships and unlock the romance options in Hades, experiencing the game’s rich storytelling and character interactions.

    • How To Increase Digimon Bond

In Digimon Story: Time Stranger, your Digimon have more personality than ever before. As you gain experience with them, you’ll become closer, which increases their Bond level. This important stat affects how you develop your Digimon.

While Bond may seem straightforward at first, there are some details to learn. Below is everything you need to know about raising your Digimon’s Bond, including what it does and the best ways to improve it.

    What Does Bond Do?

Besides showing how much your Digimon likes you, Bond also controls how many times your Digimon can transfer its accumulated stats when Digivolving or De-Digivolving. Every time a Digimon evolves, it carries over a certain percentage of its stats to the next form. The higher the Bond, the more times this can happen, allowing your Digimon to have higher maximum stats.

Each percentage point of Bond equals one Digivolution that can transfer cumulative stats. For example, if your Bond with Agumon is 20%, it can carry over stats through Digivolution or De-Digivolution 20 times. Beyond that, the stats won’t increase unless you raise your Bond.

Bond isn’t lost during any type of evolution, so you can evolve and de-evolve your Digimon as often as you want without losing it.

    How To Increase Digimon Bond

There are three main ways to boost your Digimon’s Bond:

    1. Battling with them – After a certain number of battles, your Digimon’s Bond will increase by 1. You’ll likely do this naturally as part of the game, but it can be slow if battling is your only method.

    2. Talking to your Digimon – After battles or through the Digiline, you can chat with your Digimon. Each interaction slightly raises Bond. However, this method is slower because there’s a cooldown on these interactions.

    3. Feeding them at the Digifarm – The best method is to feed your Digimon different types of food available at the Digifarm. There are six kinds of Digi food, and each Digimon has preferences and dislikes, which may depend on its species and Personality.

The amount of Bond gained from food depends on how much your Digimon likes it. Here’s what you can expect:

    • Ellipses: Bond increases by 0-1%
    • Music Notes: Bond increases by 1-2%
    • Heart: Bond increases by 2-3%

To maximize Bond gain, find out which food your Digimon prefers and feed them a lot of it. You can purchase food from various vendors, but the easiest place is the In-Between Theater, located right across from the Digifarm.

You can also boost Bond by giving your Digimon Friendship items, which are sometimes rewards for completing side quests.
