Did James Franco Share Alien Footage? Actor Says He’s Being Silenced

Certainly! Here’s the revised, human-written, and unique version in American English:

Digital Phablet – Hollywood actor James Franco recently ignited controversy after sharing supposed “alien” footage on TikTok. In reaction, viewers ridiculed him, suggesting he has lost his grip on reality.

Some also speculated that the actor was fabricating the story to attract attention, continuously posting about it for weeks. On July 13, Franco released the security footage in question and claimed that many have tried to silence him.

Franco stated, “I told you I’d reveal something because I found it… It was forced upon me; I didn’t seek this out.”

Franco added, “People have called me crazy. I’ve been through a lot… My accounts got hacked twice; there are efforts to suppress this. But I need to get it out.”

He then explained, “I’m putting my money where my mouth is,” and proceeded to show viewers the alleged “alien” footage on his laptop. The clips displayed odd figures—one lurking behind a tree and another peering through a window.

Since returning to social media on June 3 with a new TikTok account—after an eight-year hiatus following sexual misconduct allegations—Franco has shared several videos where he appears confused, claiming he’s being watched and followed. Moreover, he has consistently denied that the alien footage was staged for views, insisting he would release the full content on July 13.

He teased, “The day is finally here. 7/13 at 7:13—more footage coming soon.”

Three Major Reveals From Alien: Earth Trailer

Finally, FX has unveiled the official trailer for Alien: Earth. This eagerly awaited series, created by Noah Hawley, serves as a prequel set two years prior to the iconic events of the 1979 film Alien. The new footage offers key insights into the characters and narrative.

    Synthetic Bodies for Human Consciousness

The Alien franchise has long featured androids, with memorable portrayals by Ian Holm as Ash and Michael Fassbender as David in Prometheus. The Alien: Earth trailer introduces the concept of hybrids—humanoid robots endowed with human consciousness. Wendy, portrayed by Sydney Chandler, is the first hybrid prototype.

A young girl’s consciousness is transferred into this synthetic body, thanks to Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin), the CEO of Prodigy Corporation.

    Five Corporations Rule Earth

Fans of the series will instantly recognize Weyland-Yutani, the corporation responsible for many of the time’s technological advancements. This tech giant continuously jeopardizes human lives with xenomorphs due to its relentless quest for profit.

In 2120, Weyland-Yutani is one of five corporations that govern Earth, alongside Prodigy, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. Humans now share their world with cyborgs—individuals with both biological and mechanical components—and synthetics, which are AI-driven humanoid robots. Thanks to Wendy, hybrids also enter the mix.

    Multiple Creatures Cause Chaos

The iconic xenomorph remains the dreaded creature of the Alien franchise, responsible for widespread devastation over the years. One xenomorph alone can wreak havoc, but the Weyland-Yutani spacecraft that crashed in Prodigy City brought along more than a single invasive species.

As one character notes, “This ship collected five different life forms from the darkest corners of the universe—monsters … predatory.”

Wendy, along with a team of soldiers, is tasked with exploring the ship, uncovering threats that could be the planet’s greatest peril.

The cast of Alien: Earth includes Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana Jame, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, Adrian Edmondson, Moe Bar-El, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver.

Bringing this project to life is Emmy-winning creator Noah Hawley, while original Alien director Ridley Scott serves as an executive producer.

Alien: Earth is set to debut on FX on August 12 and will also be available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+.

Fans of the Predator series can anticipate not just one, but two new films slated for release in 2025.

In a recent discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, Steve Asbell, president of 20th Century Studios, outlined exciting future directions for the Predator franchise. One of the highlights includes a new project directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who was at the helm of Prey. Instead of pursuing a sequel, Trachtenberg has embarked on Predator: Badlands, featuring Elle Fanning.

“After Prey became a hit, Dan [Trachtenberg] returned to us with a desire to create something different rather than a follow-up,” Asbell shared. “We asked him what direction he wanted to take, and he had a plethora of imaginative ideas. We ended up greenlighting two of them. One of these projects is a live-action Predator film starring Elle Fanning, which has recently completed filming in New Zealand. Audiences can look forward to seeing it in theaters next year.”

    A hidden second Predator movie

This past week, Disney shifted its lineup, removing the release of Blade previously set for November 7, 2025, in favor of Predator: Badlands. The film, directed by Trachtenberg with a screenplay co-written by him and Patrick Aison, has been praised by Asbell. He revealed a surprising twist: Trachtenberg has secretly filmed another Predator movie that is set to debut before Badlands. However, details about this unexpected project remain under wraps.

    What follows Alien: Romulus?

Shifting focus, Asbell also touched upon the Alien franchise and the triumph of Alien: Romulus, which has amassed over $350 million globally this summer. Given the film’s box office success, conversations surrounding sequels are already in progress. Asbell confirmed that 20th Century is in the early stages of developing a follow-up and anticipates moving forward once a deal is finalized with Romulus director Fede Alvarez.

“He [Alvarez] has a concept we’re currently refining,” Asbell explained. “The film’s two survivors, Rain and Andy, played by Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson, were standout characters. I often wonder about their next journey. We’re certain there will be aliens, and we expect thrilling horror sequences. But I genuinely want to explore what happens next for those two.”

Alien: Romulus is currently available for digital purchase.
