Completing Every Alchemy Spell, Rune, and Potion in Everwind

In Everwind, you’ll need to do some melee fighting before gaining access to magic. Once you’ve found your first magical gear, you can start investing in the Arcanist skill tree to unlock more spells and abilities. There’s a lot of magic to discover, including potions to craft, runes to find and use, staff weapons, spellbooks, and more. Here’s what you need to know to get started with magic and the arcane arts.

Although your initial combat experience in Everwind involves using swords, bows, and melee weapons, you’ll soon discover all kinds of magical equipment that will elevate your fighting skills. As an Arcanist, you’ll often rely on staffs, spells, runes, potions, and other magical tools during your adventures.

The key to mastering magic in Everwind is that it needs to be unlocked gradually as you explore. Check every chest and dresser on each island for early magical staff weapons, which are tougher to craft than standard swords and tools and can’t be made at the blacksmith station back on your ship. You can start using magic immediately once you find the necessary items. Look out for potions placed in dungeons and settlements—often on tables or inside chests—as well as spells and spellbooks dropped by stronger enemies as you explore further.

You can craft your own potions at the Alchemy Table, with new potions and stronger effects becoming available as you improve your crafting skill levels. Most ingredients have magical properties, which become visible when you hover over them in your inventory. Initially, these ingredients are locked, and you’ll need to learn what each one does when added to a potion. Our guide includes tables with detailed information about all ingredients once you’ve uncovered their properties.

When it comes to runes—magical weapons that grant special effects—these come in six sizes: Fragment, Small, Medium, Big, Huge, and Perfect. Larger runes produce longer-lasting and more potent effects, such as imbued status effects, debuffs, elemental damage, or slowing enemies. You’ll collect rune fragments from various treasure sources as you explore the randomly generated world and then combine these fragments at a Rune Crafting Station to create active runes for battles ahead.

In combat, you’ll also use offensive magic through staff weapons and spellbooks, which have different mechanics despite both being magical items. Staffs allow you to attack from a distance using elemental magic, making them a great alternative to bows and arrows. Spellbooks, on the other hand, cast spells within an area around you and affect everything inside once activated. Keep in mind that these magical items need to be recharged with Spirit Crystal Dust as their durability decreases with use, much like repairing weapons.

Here is a quick overview of some of the magic staffs and spellbooks available:

    Magic Staffs and Spellbooks
    | Item Name | Stats |
    |————————–|——————————————|
    | Frost Rod | 9-10 Ice Damage |
    | Cinder Rod | 11-12 Fire Damage |
    | Spellbook of Clearance | Removes debuffs from allies |
    | Spellbook of Curse | Weakens enemies’ combat ability |
    | Spellbook of Freeze | Freezes enemies in place temporarily |
    | Spellbook of Hellfire | Sets enemies ablaze |
    | Spellbook of Madness | Causes enemies to attack allies |

Some of these items can be upgraded by spending skill points in the Arcanist tree, which unlocks powerful abilities like increasing spell area effects or enhancing your rune crafting. Upgrades such as ‘Master Rods’ and ‘Master Books’ improve your equipment’s power and versatility.

Spending skill points in the Arcanist tree allows you to understand alchemical properties immediately, extend spell effects, and craft better items for battle. Critical nodes to unlock include advanced books, rune specialist, improved rods, and the master-tier items, all located at specific tiers on the skill tree.

  • Where to Find All Alchemy Recipes in Crimson Desert While Completing and Solving

Where to Find All Alchemy Recipes in Crimson Desert While Completing and Solving

Alchemy in Crimson Desert allows you to create powerful items using various ingredients and recipes. Most recipes are discovered while exploring or completing quests. As you advance through the game, some recipes become available through the main story, but others you’ll need to find on your own.

Along with a complete list of all alchemy recipes and where to find them, I’ve included tips on how to craft these recipes at a Cauldron. I know it took me a while to locate one myself.

Before diving into the recipes, here’s how to find a Cauldron. I spent quite some time searching before I found one in Shadow’s Whisper Cave, north of Hernand City, just west of Three Saints’ Falls. Once marked on your map, it’s easy to return there for repeated crafting. Later, I also discovered a Cauldron in Hernand itself.

Here’s the location of each alchemy recipe in Crimson Desert, along with how to find and craft them:

    Haiden’s Lesser Elixir
Located in a house in Hernand that doesn’t require a key to enter. This Elixir is made in a Cauldron and needs:

    • Two low-grade container materials (like rosemary or green sulphur butterfly)
    • One lesser alchemy support material (such as iron ore or stone)
    • One empty bottle
When used, it grants four seconds of no Spirit consumption.

    Palmar Pill
Found in Shadow’s Whisper Cave, north of Hernand, accessible through a narrow crack in the cliff face. Crafted at a Cauldron with:

    • Fifteen medicinal herbs (such as rosemary or cotton)
    • Two units of water
This pill mainly acts as a revival, letting you get back on your feet and restoring a small amount of health.

    Platinum
The recipe is in Scholastone. Enter through the large central door, pass the reputation vendor on your left, then go upstairs and around to find it on a shelf. Crafted at a Witch with:

    • One gold bar
    • Four brimstone
    • Three mercury
    • Two holy water
Platinum is a rare ore, pricey, but useful for advanced alchemy.

    Astrid’s Lesser Elixir
Available for purchase at the Back Alley shop in Pailune after completing part of the main story. To craft it at a Cauldron, you need:

    • Two low-grade stamina alchemy materials
    • One lesser alchemy support material
    • One empty bottle
This Elixir grants four seconds of stamina ignore when consumed.

    Meliara’s Lesser Elixir
Found in Mudridge Cabin, north of Porrorin Woods in Hernand. Accessing the room with the recipe involves solving a sliding puzzle amidst thick swamp smoke. It’s located on some books in a corner of the room. To craft it, you need:

    • Two lesser health alchemy materials
    • One lesser alchemy support material
    • One empty bottle
When used, it boosts health by 75 and attack speed by 1 for five minutes.
  • Which Skills Should You Prioritize First in Alchemy Factory Completing? Solving

Which Skills Should You Prioritize First in Alchemy Factory Completing? Solving

If you’ve never played a management game where your main goal is to automate everything, Alchemy Factory is a great place to start. The game begins with just a few recipes, and it allows you to play at your own pace because you can pause or stop working on your shop whenever you want. The only downside is that if you close your shop, you won’t earn any money until you reopen it.

As you gain levels, the game gradually introduces more recipes and lets you upgrade different skills. There are many skills to choose from, but only a few provide significant benefits. Luckily, these key skills are easy to spot, so you can focus your upgrades on them to make your progress smoother in the late game.

    ### Best Skills in Alchemy Factory

When you look at the skill tree, hovering over each skill shows what it will do when activated. There are ten skills you can upgrade regularly as you level up, but a few stand out as especially useful:

    | Priority Rank | Skill Name | Best Time to Upgrade | Why It’s Important |
    |—————–|———————-|—————————|——————————————————————————————————–|
    | 1 | Factory Efficiency | Early Game | Improves your device production speed and boosts fuel consumption. Recipes start taking longer from level 3, so upgrading this helps keep your crafting on schedule for selling. |
    | 2 | Fuel Efficiency | Early Game | Works with Factory Efficiency, making your fuel last longer, saving money on planks and charcoal. |
    | 3 | Customer Management | Early Game | Increases rewards from quests, which is crucial when shop sales don’t bring in much money early on. |
    | 4 | Logistic Efficiency | Until Level 3 | Helps craft items faster but isn’t needed everywhere, so it’s a lower priority. |
    | 5 | Alchemy Skill | After Level 4 | Unlocks advanced alchemy recipes, improving processing speed for these new crafts. |
    | 6 | Fertilizer Efficiency| After Level 4 | Once you reach level 4, the Nursery unlocks, allowing automatic farming with fertilizers. Boosting fertilizer efficiency makes farming more profitable. |
    | 7 | Negotiation Skill | Late Game | As your shop expands and you sell more items, increasing sales and customer volume becomes key. Upgrading negotiation makes a big difference here. |

    ### How to Upgrade Skills

To improve your skills, you need to level up by completing main quests. Each quest requires you to gather specific items from your current level. Once you finish a quest, you level up, earning skill points and unlocking new research tiers.

To access the skill tree, press the Z key (default control), which is also shown on the bottom right of your screen. In the menu, select the “Upgrade” option on the left to open the skills menu. From there, you can choose which skills to unlock and confirm your choices.

  • Things We Wish We Knew Before Completing Alchemy Factory

Things We Wish We Knew Before Completing Alchemy Factory

Managing and automating processes have always been central to gaming, and Alchemy Factory combines both perfectly. When you start the game, you begin with just a few basic recipes and a tutorial on crafting, but it doesn’t provide detailed guidance. As an alchemist and crafter, you’ll need to figure out most tasks on your own, which can feel overwhelming—especially when trying to automate everything in the later stages of the game. Luckily, some simple tips can help reduce that stress.

Sell Items That Are Not Needed
Early on, you’ll open your shop with a small stock of items. The game features many materials, but you can only sell certain items. You can identify these sellable goods in the recipe book’s goods section. Hovering your mouse over items in your inventory also shows their selling prices—these are your key indicators of what you can sell. Keep in mind, you can’t sell items immediately after making them, as they’re often needed for early quests. It’s best to stockpile enough of a certain item before selling, so you can use them later for crafting or furniture. Once you’ve met these conditions, selling surplus items can generate income that’s vital for your progress—it’s generally better than taking loans.

    You Must Multitask
One major mistake in this game is focusing on just one task at a time. This game can become quite overwhelming because you need to pay attention to manual tasks that require your input every few seconds, like planting crops or crafting items such as rope or healing potions. You have to check on these frequently to replant or harvest at the right time. This constant attention becomes less of an issue at higher levels, as you’ll unlock automation for farming and other processes, allowing you to manage multiple tasks without constant supervision.

    Rotate Your Conveyor Belt
In the early game, you’ll likely find managing conveyor belts tricky. Although both straight and sloped belts are available, adjusting their direction isn’t always straightforward. The easiest way to rotate a conveyor belt is by holding the left mouse button while creating it and dragging it to your desired path. To make multiple curves, you can stop dragging after each turn and start again. Holding down the mouse button also helps to place multiple items quickly and adjust their height, which is especially useful for items like the Conveyor Lifter.

    Don’t Fear Closing Your Shop
As you level up, new research options unlock, including new buildings and crafting recipes. During the early game, these new options aren’t too complicated, but after level three, they can become overwhelming. To avoid mistakes with new machinery and recipes, it’s a good idea to close your shop temporarily or stock up on items that won’t run out quickly. This allows you to focus on learning the new mechanics without pressure, reducing errors and making it easier to manage multiple tasks at once.

Manage Your Builds from the Start
The game emphasizes automation, and as your workshop grows, keeping track of where to add logs, stone, or other materials becomes more difficult. To prevent late-game chaos, it’s best to plan and manage your building layouts early on. This will help you automate more processes from the beginning, saving time and effort later.

    Stay Focused on Quests
You can spot your mailbox outside the shop, just below the open/close sign, which notifies you about new quests. These quests come in several types:

    • Main quests (permanent, leveling up your character and unlocking new recipes and upgrades),
    • Carpenter quests (permanent, unlocking new recipes at certain times),
    • Sample quests (permanent),
    • Urgent quests (one day, offering high rewards but requiring quick completion),
    • Random quests (lasting a few days, providing small amounts of money),
    • Bulk orders (taking several days and offering high rewards but demanding many different items).

Completing quests is your primary way to earn cash. Keeping an eye on these can significantly support your progress.

    Manage Your Money Wisely
Money management is crucial. Your current funds appear at the top right of the screen, and coins also exist physically in your inventory. You can store extra coins in chests—these won’t show on your HUD—allowing you to save for larger purchases like seeds, ore, wood, or stone. It’s smart to keep at least 2,000–3,000 coins available at all times to cover typical expenses.

Sell a Wide Range of Items
After reaching level three and higher, your shop can stock many different items. Some, like wooden gears, sell cheaply but take up little space. Others, such as the Mortar, are expensive but require more shelf space. Providing a variety of items in your store increases customer satisfaction and boosts your reputation, leading to more visitors. Balancing low- and high-priced items is key to building a good reputation while managing your stock efficiently.
