But if you have the Battle Pass, finding this dog is definitely worth it. Freeing him will also get you Dog (Pen & Ink) as a sidekick you can use in matches. There are two main spots where the dog can appear in Fortnite, and both are marked on the map above. The location will be random each game. One spot is in the hotel lobby on the south side of Sinister Strip, and the other is in the sewers in the northeast part of The Battlewoods. When you get close, you’ll hear the dog barking. If you don’t find him at one location, try going to the other.
To rescue or pet John Wick’s dog, first find him in one of these spots. He’ll be locked in a cage guarded by enemy NPCs who will attack as you approach. Defeat them all, then a second group will spawn — take them out as well. Once they’re gone, interact with the cage to free the dog. After that, you can pet him to unlock powerful weapons and items. Even if someone else already saved the dog earlier, you can hop in later to pet him and collect the gear. When you do this for the first time, it also completes the quest and adds John Wick’s dog as a sidekick you can bring into future games.
