The unexpected passing of Lebanese singer Nora Rahal’s son has deeply shocked the artistic community, especially since he was young and appeared to be in good health, with no serious illnesses reported.
Moving heartfelt photos and videos from Alex’s funeral have been shared, showing his mother, father, and younger brother Phillipe devastated and overwhelmed by the loss.
Nora Rahal announced via social media that her eldest son, Alex, aged 24, had tragically died in an accident.
On Monday, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Though he dies, whoever believes in me will live. With complete faith and hope in Christ’s resurrection, I say goodbye to my beloved son and angel, Alex, and entrust him into the Lord’s care.” She added, “May God grant him eternal rest, and may his memory remain forever in our hearts and prayers.”
Cause of Nora Rahal’s Son’s Death Revealed
Lebanese blogger Sabine Nahas shared on social media the details behind Alex’s sudden passing.
In a video posted on her official Instagram account, Nahas expressed her condolences to Nora, a close friend and godmother to her own sons. She described the immense pain Nora is going through, noting that Alex would have celebrated his 24th birthday next week. She emphasized that the grief is particularly intense for a mother, asserting that her pain is the deepest of all.
Nahas explained that Alex was injured when his leg struck a glass door. The glass shattered, and a shard penetrated his leg, severing a major artery and leading to massive bleeding — approximately four and a half liters of blood lost.
Despite his severe injuries, Alex was still conscious when he left his home, hopping on one leg to reach his car. He was then taken to a hospital in Beirut, where his heart initially stopped. Emergency medical intervention was successful, but he remained in intensive care for five days before passing away.
Nora Rahal was married to a Greek man, and together they had two children: Alex, born in 2002, and Phillipe, born in 2004.
