Princess Iman Welcomes Twin Daughters Amid Royal Celebration

Digital Phablet – Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, have welcomed twin baby girls, bringing new happiness to the Jordanian royal family.

The Royal Hashemite Court announced the birth on Friday, August 14, confirming that Princess Iman and Thermiotis had been blessed with twin daughters. The announcement also extended congratulations to King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on the arrival of their two new granddaughters.

Initially, the court did not disclose the names of the newborns or provide additional details about their birth, keeping the focus on the joyful family occasion.

The news was also shared through a tweet from the Royal Court, which conveyed: “It is with great joy that the Hashemite Royal Court announces that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis have been blessed today with twin daughters. May God make them a source of happiness for their parents.”

Following the announcement, Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Stories, praising the blessings and grace of the new arrivals.

This makes Princess Iman a mother of three; her first daughter, Amina, was born on February 16, 2025. The couple now have three daughters in total.

Princess Iman, the eldest daughter and second child of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, married Jameel Alexander Thermiotis in March 2023 at Beit Al Urdun Palace. Their first child was born nearly two years later.

Queen Rania previously announced her daughter’s pregnancy in July, revealing that Princess Iman was expecting another child. She was initially not known to be carrying twins, so the birth of two daughters came as a delightful surprise to many followers of the Jordanian royal family.

The arrival of the twins is also noted to expand the royal family’s younger generation. Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa have a daughter, Princess Iman bint Al Hussein, born in August 2024, who was named after her aunt.

For King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, these new grandchildren add to their family, which includes four children: Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma, and Prince Hashem.

The Royal Hashemite Court concluded its announcement with prayers for health and happiness, hoping the twins will be a delight for their family and remain protected under divine care.

Since the news broke, congratulations have poured in from media outlets across Jordan and the Arab world, celebrating the happy addition to the royal family.
