On June 16, news emerged from a live streaming event hosted by Baidu, where prominent entrepreneur Luo Yonghao made a stunning entrance with the debut of his AI-generated digital persona.
Reflecting on the experience, Luo expressed surprise at the capabilities of the technology, stating, "I was amazed by how real the digital character felt. It was a bit surreal to see my AI counterpart and another character exchanging quips in my style."
According to Baidu, the live stream featured an impressive AI-generated script totaling 97,000 words, with the digital beings performing over 8,300 actions. Luo remarked, "Without digital humans, I would have been exhausted by the sheer volume of work!"
The event also reported significant financial success, achieving over 55 million in gross merchandise value.
Luo praised Baidu’s Huibo Star technology, calling it industry-leading and noting how thrilling it was to witness such groundbreaking advancements in AI alongside Baidu and online users.
