Gathering Task Bar Hero Soulstones is crucial because they act as keys to face the final bosses in each Act. Without these keys, progressing through the game isn’t possible. These Soulstones are quite rare, but there are ways to improve your chances of finding at least one. If you happen to have an abundance of Soulstones, you can keep using them to replay Act Boss fights, earning access to special Act Boss Chests filled with valuable items. Below, I’ll explain everything you need to know about how Soulstones function in Task Bar Hero and how to get them.
How to Obtain Task Bar Hero Soulstones
Soulstones are primarily obtained from Stage Boss Chests, but they are very rare drops, making luck a big factor. You can also buy them from other players on the Steam marketplace, but keep in mind that this requires spending real money.
In my opinion, it’s better to avoid buying Soulstones since they are inexpensive and focus on increasing your drop chances through Task Bar Hero Runes. Specifically, there are Runes of Conquest, each of which slightly boosts your chances of getting a Soulstone from Stage Bosses. More chests mean more opportunities to find a Soulstone.
If you want to maximize your chances, using the Portal feature to revisit earlier stages is a good strategy. This lets your team quickly clear stages and gather more Chests—possibly even unlocking Task Bar Hero pets—depending on the stage you choose. How Do Soulstones Function in the Game
Once you reach Stage 10 of any Act, you’ll face the Act Boss. Beating this boss lets you move on to the next Act or unlock higher difficulty levels. To start the boss fight, you need at least one Soulstone of the appropriate grade, which depends on the difficulty level:
- Red (Immortal) for Normal difficulty
- Purple (Arcana) for Nightmare difficulty
- Pink (Beyond) for Hell difficulty
- Cyan (Celestial) for Torment difficulty
After acquiring the correct Soulstone, you can enter Stage 10 and challenge the Act Boss. If you fail, your Soulstone isn’t lost; you’re simply sent back to the previous stage, allowing you to try again or level up your characters before retrying. When you finally defeat the boss, the Soulstone used will be consumed.
You can keep trying as long as you want, giving yourself multiple chances to beat the boss without losing your Soulstone. When you succeed, the Soulstone is destroyed.
Utilizing Excess Soulstones
If you find yourself with extra Soulstones, use the Portal to replay Act Boss stages and earn additional Act Boss Chests, which often contain high-quality loot suited for your level. Make sure your team includes characters from the top tiers listed in the Task Bar Hero tier list to make these battles easier. Alternatively, you can sell your Soulstones on the Steam Marketplace or use the Cube’s Alchemy system to convert them into Gold.
Keep these tips in mind, and you’ll have a better shot at progressing smoothly and gathering the best rewards.
