All the terminals in the Halo Campaign Evolved can be found with some careful exploration, but many are easy to overlook. Don’t assume that knowing where they were in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary will help, since they’re in entirely different spots now.
Unlike the Skulls, these terminals don’t make any noise, just small beeps and beeps that are only audible when you’re right next to them. Also, there are only 13 of them—one for each level in Halo Campaign Evolved—so finding and activating all of them to unlock the story lore entries isn’t too difficult. Below, I’ve listed every location to help you find them all.
Pillar of Autumn Terminal
From Rally Point Charlie, enter the upper cryo room with the broken windows. This is the area where Cortana remarks, “Looks like the Covenant wanted to catch you napping.” After passing through the next door, turn left immediately into a small room with red lighting and many screens. The terminal is at the far end of this space, which unlocks the Approach entry.
Halo Terminal in Pillar of Autumn
Starting from Rally Point Bravo, when you drive into the “this cave is not a natural formation” Forerunner tunnel, continue through the tunnel until you reach a straight section with two small bumps in the road and a large window on the right. Stop your vehicle, jump through the window, and carefully drop down to the ledge below. Down there, you’ll find the “Forgotten” terminal.
Truth and Reconciliation Terminal
From Rally Point Charlie, as you head towards the brig to rescue Captain Keyes after clearing out the ship’s command room, move through several corridors. Once you reach a large room with multiple doors, take the door on the right and go into one of the prison chambers. Use the central console to deactivate forcefields, then head into the cell opposite the console to find the “Inquisitor” lore entry.
Silent Cartographer Terminal
Starting from Rally Point Bravo, after traversing the ice cave, emerge into the canyon. Follow the path to the right, then go through the doorway in the central rock formation on your left. Inside, go through the big room with windows on the left, and ascend the ramp onto the balcony. Look to your right on the balcony corner for the “Tangent 1” terminal.
343 Guilty Spark Terminal
From Rally Point Charlie, after defeating the Flood in the Forerunner facility, go through the door marked by two large symbols. Head into a small room with a Flood-infested wall and a hole in it. Go through this hole into a small chamber with a dead marine; the “Tangent 2” terminal will be here.
The Library Terminal
From Rally Point Bravo, after 343 Guilty Spark opens a large door and you notice two consoles—ignore the objective and activate the left console to open the next door. Head into the next chamber, then turn left onto a ramp leading to a balcony. The “Tangent 3” terminal, tucked into a corner, is on this balcony.
Two Betrayals Terminal
From Rally Point Alpha, after defeating the Sentinels attacking you, instead of heading straight out the door ahead, go right and run around the exterior walkway. The “Alone” entry unlocks here near the ring walkway. Then, proceed through the small hole in the Flood-occupied wall into a small room with a dead marine—the “Two Betrayals” terminal is on the left in this area.
Keyes Terminal
From Rally Point Charlie, when ascending to the upper decks of the shuttle bay, after dropping to ground level and passing through the door, follow the hall to a corridor with Flood enemies and Hunters. At the first junction, turn left, then left again to reach a storage room with Covenant gear. The “Penitent Report” terminal is behind the equipment on the left wall.
The Maw Terminal
From Rally Point Alpha, after clearing out the mess hall, head right from the entrance and find the “Arrival” terminal sitting on USNC boxes in a small nook.
Boarding Action Terminal
From Rally Point Delta, after ascending on a gravity lift to reach the upper decks of the Triumph of Tolerance, turn around and go through the door on your right. The terminal appears behind you on the opposite side, across the hallway, which is just before the final combat area.
The Most Dangerous Game Terminal
From Rally Point Alpha, after defeating all attacking Sentinels, move right and run along the ring walkway. The “Heavy Burden” terminal is on the left side, hidden behind Covenant equipment in a small room.
All these terminals are part of the updates in Halo Campaign Evolved, adding new lore and story details. Discovering all of them takes extra time but enriches your understanding of the story and the changes made from the original version. Happy exploring!
