Fortnite Nerfs Adventure Sprite Glitch Speeding Up Other Sprites

Epic Games has nerfed the “adventure” ability of the Adventure Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 with a recent hotfix, drastically reducing its usefulness and removing a popular glitch. Players had been exploiting the Adventure Sprite to quickly level up new Fortnite Sprites, especially the rare Crown Sprite.

With this glitch now patched, players are back to the traditional grind. Well-known Fortnite leaker shared details about the hotfix, explaining what changes were made to the Adventure Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4:

– It can no longer level up other Sprites.
– It can no longer upgrade a Small or Big Shield into a Flowberry Fizz or Chug Jug.

This means players can’t use the Adventure Sprite to level up other Fortnite Sprites or to upgrade standard shield consumables into more powerful items like Flowberry Fizz or Chug Jugs. Since the Adventure Sprite’s leveling mechanic involves upgrading a random item in the player’s inventory—excluding consumables—players relied on this glitch to fast-track their progress. Unsurprisingly, this has left many frustrated.

Most players previously used the Adventure Sprite to master the Crown Sprite in Fortnite because its usual requirements are lengthy and quite different from other Sprites. Unlike typical Sprites, such as the Fortnite Klombo Sprite, leveling up the Crown Sprite requires securing Victory Royales, making it a more challenging grind. The unintentional bug that allowed easy leveling with the Adventure Sprite made this process much faster.

Here’s how the glitch worked: players would equip the Adventure Sprite while keeping only the Crown Sprite in their inventory, then perform activities like opening chests, ammo boxes, or lighting campfires. These actions would cause both the Adventure Sprite and the Crown Sprite to level up simultaneously and rapidly.

By exploiting this bug, players could master the Crown Sprite, extract it into their Fortnite Sprite Garden, and complete some of the Chapter 7 Season 4 quests. However, this is now no longer possible. This move surprises many, especially during a season themed around “Breaking the rules. Changing the game.” The good news is, players can still obtain Fortnite Gold Sprites and Fortnite Cheat Master Sprites relatively easily.
