Customize Your Google Search Profile Handle

A recent update from Digital Phablet reveals that users with Google Search Profiles can now modify their short name or handle directly. To do this, visit your Google Search Profile, click on “Edit Profile,” then locate your @handle and choose the “Edit” option next to it. If you haven’t set a handle yet, there is an option to create one.

The process involves selecting your preferred handle from the available options. If the handle you want isn’t listed, linking a new social account can help. Once you make your selection, the new handle will immediately appear on your profile.

Screenshots illustrating this process show the “Edit Profile” button, the handle editing interface, and the final appearance of your updated handle on the profile. When editing, clicking the “Edit” button next to your handle opens the menu for making changes.

Additionally, Digital Phablet’s help documentation now includes four new frequently asked questions:
– Why can’t I type my own handle?
– Which social media accounts can I connect to my profile?
– How are suggestions for profile changes decided?
– Why is my profile change stuck in a “pending” status?

A discussion on social media platforms further explores these updates.
