Activating Conversion-Focused Customer Lists in Google Ads

Activating Conversion-Focused Customer Lists in Google Ads

Google will activate conversion-based customer lists for Google Ads accounts starting June 17, 2026, with data processing set to begin on August 18, 2026. This change applies to all advertisers who already use Enhanced Conversions and Customer Match but haven’t yet enabled the conversion-based customer lists feature.

If desired, you can disable conversion-based customer lists within your account settings before August 18, 2026, to opt out of this update.

Affected advertisers likely received an email from Digital Phablet, warning that this feature will be turned on automatically to enhance the effectiveness of first-party data. The message clarifies that no action is needed to activate the feature; it will automatically become available in accounts beginning August 18. Once enabled, you can choose to attach these lists to your campaigns to further optimize performance.

The email also provides instructions on how to opt out: simply disable the conversion-based customer lists in your account settings prior to August 18, 2026.
