At Digital Trends, we have a strong appreciation for the Oppo lineup. Whether it’s the sleek, curved screen of the Reno 10 or the innovative design of the Oppo Find N2, these devices seldom let us down. Now, there’s buzz about a new addition that might just satisfy your craving for a compact flagship phone.

Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station has hinted (via Android Headlines) that Oppo is gearing up to reveal a new, smaller flagship model distinct from the recently launched Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. While the global release for the latter two is confirmed, details regarding this compact flagship remain uncertain.

There’s a resurgence in the popularity of smaller phones. Although many users lean towards larger devices like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, a good number of people miss the convenience of carrying a device that doesn’t require oversized pockets. The Google Pixel 9 Pro serves as a perfect example of a compact phone packed with impressive performance.

The Oppo Find X8 Mini could make its debut alongside the Find X8 Ultra. While this information originates from a leaker, Digital Chat Station has a solid track record, and many of their predictions have proven accurate.

Regarding specifications, there’s much to speculate about. Given the technology currently used in the Oppo devices, this smaller phone might be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chip. However, Oppo could also opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro utilize the MediaTek Dimensity chip, but since the Find X8 Mini may be launched several months later than these models, Oppo might have the opportunity to feature Qualcomm’s latest offering in their compact line.

There’s much to look forward to. If you have a penchant for smaller flagship phones, this is definitely one to watch.
